తెలంగాణ కాంగ్రెస్ వర్కింగ్ ప్రెసిడెంట్, మల్కాజ్ గిరి ఎంపీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి కేంద్రమంత్రి కిషన్ రెడ్డికి ట్వీట్ చేశారు. కంటోన్మెంట్ బొల్లారం ప్రాధమిక ఆరోగ్యాన్ని కోవిడ్ ఆసుపత్రిగా మార్చామని.. పీఎం కేర్ నిధుల ద్వారా ఆసుపత్రిలో ఆక్సిజన్ ప్లాంట్ త్వరగా అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చేలా చూడాలని కోరారు. ఈమేరకు కేంద్ర ఆరోగ్యమంత్రి, డీఆర్ డీఓ చైర్మన్ కు కూడా లేఖలు రాసినట్టు తెలిపారు.
కరోనా రోగులకు మెరుగైన వైద్య సేవలు అందించే క్రమంలో ఎంపీగా బాధ్యతతో ఆసుపత్రిని కోవిడ్ సెంటర్ గా మార్చామన్నారు. ఈమేరకు 15 రోజుల క్రితమే నిర్ణయించి పనులు కూడా ప్రారంభించామన్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం అక్కడ పనులు వేగవంతంగా జరుగుతున్నాయన్నారు. ఈక్రమంలో ఆక్సిజన్ ప్లాంట్ నిర్మాణం త్వరితగతిన పూర్తయ్యేలా చూడాలని కేంద్ర మంత్రి కిషన్ రెడ్డికి విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
ACB officials shifted Dhulipalla back to Rajahmundry Central Jail
TDP leader and former MLA Dhulipalla Narendra, who was arrested on charges of irregularities in Sangam Dairy, has been shifted to Rajahmundry Central Jail by ACB officials. He was treated at Ayush Hospitals in Vijayawada as he had tested positive for corona. Recently, Narendra was taken back to the Rajahmundry Central Jail as he has tested negative for coronavirus in the recent corona tests.
Dhulipalla Narendra was initially sent to the Rajahmundry Central Jail after his arrest. However, Narendra was treated at the Ayush Hospitals in Vijayawada for corona. Now, as he has tested negative for corona, he was shifted back to the Rajahmundry Central Jail. However, doctors suggested Dhulipalla Narendra stay in self-isolation for few days. However, ACB officials said they would keep him in special isolation inside the jail.
Director Maruthi donates Rs 50,000 to TNR’s family
Popular anchor and actor Tummala Narasimha Reddy aka TNR passed away on May 10 because of Covid-19. Many celebs from Tollywood took to Twitter and offered condolences to his family.
We are aware that Megastar Chiranjeevi helped the late TNR’s family with Rs 1 Lakh for immediate expenses. A video of TNR’s wife receiving the money has surfaced on social media. Tollywood’s burning star Sampoornesh Babu had also donated Rs 50,000 for the family of TNR.
Now, director Maruthi has joined the list of celebs, who are stretching support for the TNR’s family. He also sent Rs 50,000 to the bank account of TNR’s wife Jyoti, expressing his generosity by suggesting that everyone should help as much as they could at this time.
TNR, who became popular with the ‘Frankly Speaking with TNR’ show, breathed his last due to Covid-19 complications on Monday. In the last few weeks, along with thousands of people in India, a lot of celebrities have also lost their lives because of Covid-19.

దర్శకుడు ధరణి మాట్లాడుతూ నేను పవన్ ను కలిసి కథ చెప్పిన సమయంలోనే పవన్ కు నచ్చలేదు. అయినా కూడా నేను చేతులు పట్టుకుని బతిమిలాడాను. అందుకే నాకు అవకాశం ఇచ్చాడు. ఆయన అన్నట్లుగానే సినిమా నిరాశ పర్చింది అంటూ చెప్పుకొచ్చారు. పవన్ మొహమాటంతో ఈ సినిమాను చేసినట్లుగా వారు చెప్పుకొచ్చారు. బంగారం వంటి సినిమా ను పవన్ ఎలా చేశారు అంటూ అప్పట్లో అభిమానులు ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
Big blow to the Telugu film industry..?
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is going to give a huge shock to the Tollywood film industry. According to reliable sources, as the second wave of the corona is booming at a faster pace in the state, CM Jagan is of the opinion that 100 percent occupancy should not be allowed in theaters till January 2022.
This is going to have a large impact on huge budgeted and most awaited films like Acharya, Pushpa, F3, Radhe Shyam, etc.
On the other hand, as there are no permissions for the ticket price hikes, the big-budgeted movies will not dare to have a theatrical release even for 50 percent occupancy. Against this backdrop, the huge budgeted films must wait till 2022 Summer for their theatrical releases.
Jagan seems to allow 100 percent occupancy in the theaters only after a 100 percent vaccination drive gets completed in the state.
Jr NTR confirms that NTR31 is with Prashanth Neel
In his latest interaction with an international media portal, Jr NTR made an interesting revelation about NTR31.
“My immediate next project after RRR is NTR30 which will be directed by Koratala Siva. It will be releasing all over India much like RRR,” he said when asked about NTR30.
Tarak added that he will be working with Prashanth Neel after NTR30 and this will be the much-hyped NTR31.
NTR31 will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers and it will hit the floors once NTR30 is wrapped up.
Tarak’s immediate focus is on RRR which is in final leg of shoot. The film is directed by Rajamouli and it stars Ram Charan in the other lead role.

The news about Mahesh Babu teaming up with his ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ director Anil Ravipudi has been doing rounds for a long time. Anil is currently working on ‘F3’ and Mahesh who is busy with ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ has accepted a project in Trivikram’s direction. Sources say that Mahesh and Anil Ravipudi may team up after that.
According to reports, their film is expected to be a sports-based film. Rumors suggest that Mahesh will be seen as a Cricket coach in this movie. While it is yet to confirmed, this news is making the fans very excited. Ail Ravipudi is known for making perfect commercial movies with a perfect mix of action, comedy and emotion. As this is expected to be a pan-Indian project, he is making sure that the script is tight. Mahesh is personally very much interested in Cricket as he tweeted about players and interesting matches on several occasions. Mahesh never did a sports drama since ‘Okkadu’.

COVID:19: After a year’s delay, Telangana’s RIMS begins RT-PCR testing
ADILABAD: RT-PCR tests have begun at RIMS since the past two days, a year after the testing machine was allotted. The machine wasn’t being used as it needed some spare parts and there was a delay in buying them due to lack of funds. Amid low number of tests being conducted in the district, the development provided some relief to people who want to get tested.
Recently, District in-charge Collector Rahul Raj organised review meetings with RIMS Director Banoth Baliram Naik and Health officials, and discussed issues pertaining to the testing machine at the hospital. Following the meeting, the Collector sanctioned `16 lakh for RIMS officials to purchase the spare parts and began testing.
Meanwhile, many citizens who are getting tested are moving around without isolating themselves until they get the reports, hence risking spread of the infection. In addition to this, the results are taking 2-3 days as the samples are being sent to Warangal and Nizamabad districts. There is also no proper coordination among the district officials of Adilabad, Nizamabad and Warangal. Meanwhile, the number of Covid tests conducted in the district have been constantly decreasing.

The International Nurses Day is observed across the globe on the 12th of May every year to honour the nurses for their contributions to society and the world.

Sri Lanka imposes night travel ban to check surge in COVID-19 cases
COLOMBO: Sri Lanka on Wednesday intensified travel restrictions across the country, restricting movement of traffic at night to combat the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic that has claimed over 800 lives in the island nation.
The ban, from 11 pm to 4 am daily, will come into place from tonight until May 31, Army chief Gen Shavendra Silva, who heads the COVID combat operations, told the media.
However, essential services and transportation of food items will be allowed during this period.
The move comes after inter-provincial travel restrictions were put into place across the country until May 30.
Additionally, there would be a blanket travel ban from 11 pm on Thursday until 4 am on Monday in view of the long weekend and festival of Eid on Friday.
Silva said people were noticed breaking COVID preventive guidelines in the night as large numbers were seen on the roads and attending private functions.
The Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA) had warned of a possible breakdown in the healthcare system in the island if the current surge was left unchecked.
The SLMA officials met President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on Monday to stress on the need for a strict action.
They warned that the number of people requiring oxygen and those waiting for intensive care treatment was rapidly rising.
There was a severe shortage of PCR facilities, particularly in peripheral hospitals, there were many diagnosed COVID cases remaining in their homes awaiting admission to hospitals or intermediate centres, they said.
The COVID deaths may reach unprecedented levels and a grave national catastrophe is a real potential threat in the near future unless something that offers rapid results is implemented, the SLMA warned.
Achieving rapid control would save many lives, ease the burden on hospitals, lay the background for vaccination and be economically beneficial in the longer-term, the SLMA told the president.
Sri Lanka is battling the third wave of the pandemic.
The country reported 149 COVID deaths over the last 10 days, health officials said.
According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus data, Sri Lanka has reported 131,098 COVID-19 cases and 850 deaths.
