The first single, “The Thaandavam,” from Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu’s Akhanda 2 was launched today at PVR, Juhu, Mumbai.
Director Boyapati Sreenu said that Akhanda 2 is a film for the entire family. “Akhanda 2 is not just a film; it reflects the Atma and Paramatma of the nation. This is my fourth collaboration with Balakrishna. We shot some sequences in extreme cold at –12°C, and we truly feel we had the blessings of Lord Shiva throughout the making of this movie,” he shared.
Balakrishna, celebrating 50 years in the film industry, reflected on his journey. “My success streak began with Akhanda. Following that, Veera Simha Reddy, Bhagavanth Kesari, and Daaku Maharaj turned into blockbusters. Now, with Akhanda 2, audiences will witness the grandeur of Haindava Sanatana Dharma.”
He also revealed that the team completed shooting the film in just 130 days, highlighting the efficiency and dedication of the cast and crew.
