TRS finalizes its candidate for Sagar by-polls !!
The TRS party has finalized its candidate for the Nagarjuna Sagar by-election. Nomula Bhagat, son of Nomula Narsimhaiah, has been finalized by the TRS supremacy. CM KCR will soon present B-form to Bhagat. Bhagat will make his nomination tomorrow morning. Since the Nagarjuna Sagar MLA Nomula Narsimhaiah died in December last year, election in Nagarjuna Sagar has become inevitable. The Congress party has already announced Kundhuru Janareddy as their candidate. The BJP has yet to announce its candidate.
The deadline for filing by-election nominations for the Sagar Assembly constituency is the 30th of this month. Nominations will be examined on the 31st of this month. The deadline for the withdrawal of nominations is till April 3. The Nagarjuna Sagar by-election will be held on April 17 and the results will be released on May 2.
Heroine says Pawan Kalyan will make a great comeback with Vakeel Saab
It is known that Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab is slated for theatrical release on 9th of April. The film has Pawan, Shruti Hassan, Nivetha Thomas, Ananya Nagalla, and Anjali in the lead roles.
In her latest interaction with media, Nivetha said Vakeel Saab will be a great comeback film for Pawan Kalyan.
“Pink is a brilliant example that people are ready to watch films which have relevant social message. Vakeel Saab is one such film which has equals dose of relevant social message and commercial elements. It will be a great comeback film for Pawan Kalyan,” she said.
Nivetha added that working with Pawan Kalyan has been a brilliant experience.
The trailer of Vakeel Saab was released a short while ago and it has already touched 3 lakh likes on YouTube.

Udayanidhi Stalin’s AIIMS brick trick boomerangs
Sometimes, the best laid campaign plans of politicians prove counter-productive. DMK chief Stalin’s son Udayanidhi Stalin is learning this the hard way. His plan to put the BJP in a spot has actually proved counter-productive in Tamil Nadu.
Udayanidhi tried to highlight the failure of the BJP government at the centre in completing the AIIMS hospital in Madurai. To show that the BJP did nothing, he picked up a brick with AIIMS painted on it. He showed the brick and said that this is what the BJP has done. He said nothing except a brick was given to Madurai AIIMS. While this led to guffaws among the audience. But, then the real problem began. A plucky BJP leader lodged a complaint with the police saying that Udayanidhi has actually stolen the AIIMS property and wanted the government to book a case against him for stealing government’s property.
Now Udayanidhi’s trick has boomeranged. He himself has admitted in front of the media that this was an asset of AIIMS. If he is showing it to the people, then he must have stolen it. So, the BJP worker sought protection to the AIIMS assets, which according to him, were stolen by DMK leaders. The DMK has now been forced to go on the defensive.

Junior NTR should work for strengthening the TDP, says Buchaiah Chowdary
TDP MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary commented that major changes are going to take place in Telugu Desam Party soon. TDP founding day celebrations were held in Rajahmundry. TDP activists paid homage to the founder of TDP, Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao’s statue. On this occasion, speaking to the media, Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary said that the TDP, founded by NTR, has faced many hardships in the last 40 years and was now facing YCP repression.
According to the reports, it has been made clear that new leadership is coming in the TDP. He said that everyone in the party, including junior NTR, should work for strengthening the party. Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary questioned how Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy would build capital in Vizag as the state is currently facing a financial crisis and debts.
Chiranjeevi puts Bobby’s film above Vedhalam remake
Megastar Chiranjeevi will soon be completing Acharya shoot. He is set to work with Mohan Raja for the Telugu remake of Lucifer and the unit is planning to commence shoot a week or so after the auspicious Ugadi festival.
Coming to the topic, Chiranjeevi has apparently placed Bobby’s film above Vedhalam remake now.
Chiru will be kick starting Lucifer remake from April and he plans to commence shooting for Bobby’s film soon after. He will take the final call on Meher Ramesh’s Vedhalam remake only after Bobby’s film hits the floors.
Well, Vedhalam remake with Meher Ramesh is very much on, but Chiranjeevi plans to complete other commitments before starting this project.
In all likelihood, Vedhalam remake will start rolling in the end of the year. Chiru has asked Meher Ramesh to complete the pre-production works by then and stay prepared to take the project onto the floors whenever prompted.
It is known that Acharya is slated for release on 13th May. It is said that Chiranjeevi might have another release later this year, based on the progress of his upcoming projects.

Desertions spell doom for TDP
The TDP is getting weakened in Andhra Pradesh by each passing day. Many top leaders have already deserted the party and have gone looking for greener pastures. The TDP appears to be well on its way to meet the fate of the Congress Party, which at one time was the lord of all it surveyed.
Unfortunately for the party, it is facing one blow after the other in the districts where it is supposedly strong. The party has strong presence in North Coastal Andhra. Hence, Atchen Naidu was made the party working president. But, even in this supposed citadel, the party is facing uncertain future.
Key leaders are deserting the party in drones. For instance, Killi Rammohan, a key follower of senior leader Kunam Ravikumar has resigned from the party. Though it is not as yet clear which party he would join, his departure is a huge loss for the TDP in Amadalavalasa. He said Atchen Naidu had won only by rigging the election. Meanwhile, post-panchayat and municipal elections, a large number of party workers and leaders are leaving the TDP.
In Chittoor district, including Kuppam, which is Chandrababu’s borough, too the situation is much the same. If the same trend continues, the party may lose whatever little clout it has in the district and might suffer an humiliating defeat in Tirupati Lok Sabha bypolls.
Sam’s ‘Shaakunthalam’ Begins With A Shiva Pooja!
Star actress Samantha has given her green signal to act in Gunasekhar’s mythological drama ‘Shaakunthalam’. It portrays the epic love story of Dushyantha and Shakunthala. The pooja ceremony was done recently and the film’s producer Neelima Guna has given an update about this film.
The shooting of the film is going at a decent pace and Neelima posted a picture of lord Shiva idol on Twitter saying, “Monday today and coincidentally we are to shoot Shiva Pooja.”
Gunasekhar spent a lot of time on the film’s script and Malayalam hero Dev Mohan is playing the female lead. Mani Sharma is composing music for this flick and it is Gunasekhar’s first film since ‘Rudramadevi’ which came back in 2015. While it is still in the early stages, the makers are quite confident about this film. We need to wait and see how this film turns out!
