Inside Story: Is this the real reason why Rajini chose to stay out of Politics?
Superstar Rajinikanth shocked everyone when he announced yesterday that he would be stepping down from politics due to his ill-health.
According to the previous plan, Rajini was supposed to make an official announcement about his political entry on the 31st of December, 2020, and he was supposed to have launched his political party in January.
With the news of him quitting politics coming just a few days prior to his original plan quite literally got everyone confused and bemused.
While Rajini stated that he took this decision due to his ill-health, and family pressures, the political circles in Tamil Nadu are telling a completely different story.
Recently, Rajini got a survey done in the state of Tamil Nadu, privately, about the chances of him winning the Tamil Nadu general elections next year.
In the survey, it was reportedly declared that the chances of Rajini himself winning are also very slim, and that the probability of winning 102 seats out of the 234 seats is also very slim.
This survey is said to have majorly influenced Rajini’s decision of taking a backstep from politics.
Back when PV Narasimha Rao was alive, he had tried to rope both Chiranjeevi and Rajinikanth into politics from the Congress party, from Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu respectively.
However, as the Congress was in a low phase back then, both the stars had declined the offer and stayed away from politics for a long time, until Chiranjeevi entered politics with Praja Rajyam a few years ago.
Despite a lot of hopes, Chiranjeevi managed to get only 18% votes and 17 seats. Now, Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena’s situation is even worse, considering that the times have changed, and people are not very much inclined towards celebrities as politicians, as they once were.
Tamil actors Kamal Haasan and Vijaykanth also saw dismal results, with not many voting for them, which is stated to be another reason for Rajini to take a backstep.
On the other hand, Rajini’s reputation went for a toss when he supported the members of Sterlite Industries, instead of the people, when there were troubles for the company with the people.
A lot of people also did not like the fact that Rajini was supporting the BJP and the Modi government, which led to a widespread disfavour towards Rajini as a politician.
It is also being said that there’s also a strong feeling in the people of Tamil Nadu against Rajini as a politician, as he is choosing to enter politics when he is constantly in and out of hospitals due to ill-health, instead of entering politics when he was hale and healthy.
Keeping all of these facts in mind, Rajini is said to have chosen to stay away from politics.
This is not to say that Rajini is not suffering from ill-health, it just means that he fell sick at the exact right time of his political entry, which gave him a safe exit method from politics.
Raghu Ramakrishna Raju asks if Jagan is not ashamed of himself
The Ramatheertham temple located at the Ramatheertham hill in Vizianagaram district is considered to be the Ayodhya of the northern region of Andhra Pradesh.
The demolition of the holy Sri Rama idol of this temple has created a lot of chaos in the state. Considering that this is not the first instance that the idols of Hindu Gods, this has become an even greater issue.
Responding to this atrocity, YSRCP member and Narasapuram MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju has asked if Jagan is not ashamed the slightest bit of himself, considering that such a devastating act against Sri Rama has taken place during the tenure of Jagan as the Chief Minister of the State.
Furthermore, RRR even asked why Jagan is so nonchalant and reckless towards the Hindu religion and the sentiments of its people.
RRR asked why the government is not responding to the continued atrocities against the Hindu religion in the state, and questioned if there is any sort of involvement from any influential people, because of which no action is being taken against these acts. RRR asked for the names of these influential people too, if there is anyone involved.
RRR said that it is sad to see Sri Rama being insulted this way, considering the head portion of the Ramatheertham idol was separated from the rest of it (beheaded).
He also said that this act has to be considered as a major atrocity against the Hindu religion, and that serious action has to be taken against whoever is responsible for it.

ఈ ఏడాదిలో విడుదలైన పెద్ద హీరోల సినిమాలు కేవలం రెండే కనుక ప్రతి చోట కూడా ఈ రెండు సినిమాలే పోటీ పడ్డాయి. యూట్యూబ్ పాటల రికార్డు, రేటింగ్ విషయం, డిజిటల్ ప్రీమియర్, శాటిలైట్ ప్రీమియర్ ఇలా అన్నింట్లో కూడా ఈ రెంటి మద్య పోటీ జరిగింది. కాని అన్ని చోట్ల కూడా అల్లు అర్జున్ నటించిన అల వైకుంఠపురంలో విజయం సాధించింది. పాటల నుండి శాటిలైట్ రికార్డు వరకు అన్ని రికార్డులు బన్నీ సొంతం చేసుకున్నాడు. ఈ ఏడాదిలో అన్ని రికార్డులను అల వైకుంఠపురంలో సొంతం చేసుకోవడం జరిగింది. మహేష్ బాబుకు ఏ ఒక్క రికార్డు కూడా దక్కలేదు. అన్ని చోట్ల కూడా నెం.2 స్థానంలోనే సరిలేరు నీకెవ్వరు నిలిచింది.
KCR has picked BJP over ryots: Congress
HYDERABAD: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) on Tuesday alleged a conspiracy by the TRS government in removing the Indira Kranthi Patham (IKP) procurement centres, which were established in the Congress regime. To protest the decision, the Congress will organise protests from the mandal to State-level with a demand to roll back the decision.
The procurement centres purchase agricultural produce from farmers. The Congress held a meeting on Tuesday which was attended by TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, MLC Jeevan Reddy, MLAs Sridhar Babu and Jagga Reddy, TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar and other office-bearers of Kisan Congress.
Jeevan Reddy said the farmers would not get MSP due to the new laws. “Let the TRS government clarify whether it supports farmers or the anti-farmer BJP government. The closure of procurement centres shall herald the beginning of the downfall of the KCR regime,” the Congress leader said.
Uttam said the Congress would organise protests in all mandal headquarters from December 30 to January 8 and memorandums would be submitted to Mandal Revenue Officers (MROs). On January 11, protests would be held at all district headquarters and a State-level protest will be held on January 18.
Bhatti Vikramarka urged the CM to read the Constitution which emphasised the term “welfare State”. “The government should not calculate profits and losses while implementing welfare schemes,” he said.
Kannada hero to turn villain for Jr NTR?
Trivikram Srinivas previously roped in Kannada star hero, Upendra for S/O Sathyamurthy and the film went on to become a super hit at the box office. If the latest reports are to be believed, Trivikram will be emulating a similar feat for his upcoming film with Jr NTR as well.
As per a few unofficial reports, Trivikram wants to rope in Upendra for the antagonist role in NTR30. He feels that the seasoned actor would do complete justice to the role.
Jr NTR has apparently assured Trivikram that he would be joining the sets of NTR30 from May, 2021 and the latter is busy finalizing the lead cast and technical crew.
Trivikram is expected to meet with Upendra very soon and the final decision on his inclusion in the star cast would be taken soon after.
Also, Trivikram’s script accomodates two female leads and two happening actresses will be roped in for these roles soon. It is said that young Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor is in pole position to bag one of these roles.

Will Nimmagadda be able to fulfill his wish at last?
Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has constantly been at war with the government of Andhra Pradesh, ever since the YSRCP came to power.
Citing coronavirus, Nimmagadda had postponed the local body elections in the state, at the start of this year, following which the YSRCP government tried its level best to remove Nimmagadda from office.
However, Nimmagadda fought hard and made sure that no one replaces him, and that he stays on as the SEC of AP until his tenure comes to an end in March 2021.
For a few weeks now, Nimmagadda has been trying his best to conduct the local body elections, but the AP government is adamant about not conducting them anytime soon. Several sources revealed that the AP government is not in the mood to conduct these elections until Nimmagadda’s tenure is over.
The AP government has not been cooperating with the SEC in this regard and is citing Coronavirus as the reason why the government is not interested in conducting the elections right now.
This is despite the fact that Nimmagadda clearly stated that all sorts of precautions would be taken during the elections, with the virus in mind.
After a petition was filed in the High Court, by the SEC, about the non-cooperation of the government, the HC ordered the government to send three officials from the government to the SEC, and to discuss conducting the elections when the SEC deems it suitable.
The HC also said that the government has no say with respect to when the elections should be conducted, and that the SEC has the sole authority to do it. The HC also asked for a report containing the details of this discussion to be submitted as well.
Interestingly, the scare of a second wave, and the spreading of the mutated strain from UK has now increased in the country, with the Central Government releasing a new set of rules to make sure that the spreading of the second strain is as contained as possible.
This has now given an edge to the government, with the government now once again trying to use these as the reasons to not conduct the local body elections any time soon.
While Nimmagadda had earlier stated that the elections were being planned with all safety precautions in place, and with all conditions being considered, it is now to be seen if he has taken into consideration the second wave and the new strain in spreading.
There are chances that he can conduct the elections if he has taken these factors into consideration, otherwise, it might be a tough task for him to conduct the elections before his tenure ends in March.
Disha Patani quotes a bomb for item song in Pushpa
The combination of Allu Arjun, Sukumar, and Devi Sri Prasad had previously produced blockbuster item songs like ‘Ringa Ringa’, and ‘Aa ante Amalapuram’. They are joining hands again for Pushpa and it is said that Devi has scored another chartbuster audio single for the film.
Apparently, the makers are very much impressed with the item song composed by DSP and they want to shoot it on a grand scale.
Interestingly, the makers of Pushpa had recently approached Bollywood siren Disha Patani and enquired about her availability. The star actress is interested in shaking a leg with Allu Arjun but she has reportedly quoted a bomb if she is to star in the film.
Reportedly, Disha Patani quoted Rs 1.50 crores remuneration for the 4-minute item song. This left the producers in a state of bewilderment. They weren’t expecting such a huge financial demand from Disha.
Mythri Movie Makers, who are bankrolling the project are contemplating other options now and are likely to take the final call in this regard sooner than later.
