Shraddha Kapoor Fractures Toe During ‘Eetha’ Shoot, Takes Two-Week Break

Share

Shraddha Kapoor has been navigating a whirlwind of controversies lately—from the Dawood-linked drug syndicate rumors to allegations about her jewellery brand copying designs, along with old debates over film credits. Amid all this, she tried to focus on her work, but fate had other plans.

While shooting for Eetha, a film based on the legendary Tamasha performer Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar, Shraddha was intensively training for the Lavani dance sequences. During one shoot, dancing to an Ajay–Atul track, she shifted her weight incorrectly, resulting in a sharp slip and a fractured toe on her left foot.

The director immediately called for a break, but Shraddha, known for her determination, continued shooting for a couple of days, limiting herself to close-up emotional scenes due to the pain. Eventually, the team decided to pause the shoot for two weeks to allow her to recover fully, especially since most of the remaining sequences require her full movement and energy.

Producer Bunny Vas Clarifies Piracy Misconceptions Amid Ibomma Ravi Case

Share

Tollywood is abuzz with discussions following the arrest of Ibomma Ravi, who is currently in police custody. While legal proceedings continue, industry insiders have begun addressing the broader issue of film piracy.

Producer Bunny Vas recently spoke out, addressing the common belief that piracy targets only movies with high ticket prices. He clarified that this notion is misleading and does not reflect actual industry patterns.

“Every week, multiple films release, but only a few raise ticket prices,” Vas explained. “Yet, piracy affects every movie indiscriminately. Big-budget blockbusters, small films, and low-profile releases all appear on piracy sites within hours of their theatrical debut. This proves that piracy is not driven by ticket pricing but by larger systemic issues.”

He pointed to unauthorized camera recordings in theaters, rapid online uploads, and the growing demand for free content as the real drivers of piracy. Vas stressed that the film industry is actively working to curb illegal distribution, but stronger laws, improved theater surveillance, and increased public awareness are essential.

Rashmika Mandanna Highlights Power of Women Supporting Women

Share

Rashmika Mandanna, who recently starred in the romantic drama The Girlfriend, has been keeping busy with back-to-back shoots. Currently abroad filming Cocktail 2 alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, she took a moment between flights and sets to share a post that immediately caught fans’ attention—not a glamorous promo, but a heartfelt note about feminine energy and the power of women supporting each other.

In her post, Rashmika reflected on the intuitive sense women often have—the subtle feeling that something is off before it even happens. She emphasized that when women listen to each other without judgment, life feels lighter. There’s a kind of quiet magic in women backing each other, she said, the soft “I’m here, don’t worry” energy that can make even tough days feel manageable.

Rashmika revealed it took her years to truly understand this strength, shaped by friends who stood by her through life’s challenges. She shared a short video of herself walking arm-in-arm with another woman, symbolizing mutual support and resilience. Fans quickly took note, with many sensing a deeper meaning in her message about solidarity and empowerment.

Sreeleela Shares Funny Take on Marriage, Shines at IFFI 2025

Share

Sreeleela has had a challenging year in Telugu cinema, with one setback after another, but she’s keeping her fans engaged on social media. During a recent Instagram Q&A, when asked the usual question, “Whom will you marry?”, she gave a humorous and relatable reply: “Someone who’ll understand my overthinkings 😂.” The candid answer immediately went viral, showcasing her down-to-earth personality.

At just 24, Sreeleela is still very young by industry standards, with plenty of time before marriage becomes a priority. Many actresses, including Kajal Aggarwal and Ileana, tied the knot well past their mid-thirties. For now, her focus remains on strengthening her career rather than planning weddings.

Even with a series of flops, Sreeleela continues to make her presence felt. At IFFI 2025 in Goa, she participated in the opening parade alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna and several Bollywood stars, adding fresh energy to the event. This year, the festival gave special attention to Telugu cinema, featuring tableaus and performances celebrating the industry.

Centre Sanctions ₹39.84 Crore for Red Sandalwood Conservation in AP

Share

The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA), under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), has released ₹39.84 crore to support the protection and conservation of Red Sandalwood in Andhra Pradesh. Of this, ₹38.36 crore has been allocated to the Andhra Pradesh Forest Department, while ₹1.48 crore will go to the Andhra Pradesh State Biodiversity Board.

Deputy Chief Minister and Forest Minister Pawan Kalyan has taken a personal interest in strengthening Red Sandalwood protection efforts. During a recent inspection at the Tirupati Forest Department, he reviewed the seized Red Sandalwood stock, assessed security arrangements, and evaluated ongoing anti-smuggling operations. Expressing concern over continuing smuggling attempts, he assured that a special crackdown operation targeting smugglers would be launched soon.

In a parallel initiative, the NBA has approved the raising of one lakh Red Sandalwood saplings by the Andhra Pradesh Biodiversity Board at a cost of ₹2 crore, enhancing conservation efforts outside natural forests.

Red Sandalwood, prized worldwide for its deep red timber, grows naturally in select districts of the Eastern Ghats, including Chittoor, Kadapa, Anantapur, Prakasam, and Kurnool, particularly in the Seshachalam and Nallamala forests. Its high demand, especially in Japan and China, has made it highly vulnerable to illegal trade. Recently, the state government generated ₹87.68 crore through regulated auctions of seized Red Sandalwood.

With DCM Pawan Kalyan’s active involvement and support from the ruling coalition, the Centre has quickly sanctioned this significant biodiversity-linked funding. The move paves the way for the upcoming Red Sandalwood protection operation, which is expected to strengthen forest conservation, empower local Biodiversity Management Committees, support frontline staff, and boost the state’s fight against smuggling networks.

Allu Arjun Next Film With Atlee: Sai Abhynkar to Compose Music

Share

After the massive success of Pushpa, Allu Arjun’s next film has already created huge hype at a pan-India level. The excitement is further amplified because the film is being directed by the star director Atlee, known for his blockbuster movies. Expectations from the Allu Arjun–Atlee combination are naturally very high.

While Atlee has planned a grand scale for the film in terms of casting and production, he has entrusted music direction to a young sensation, Sai Abhynkar. Sai has previously composed for a Malayalam film and recently for Dude, while also gaining popularity through his private albums. In Tamil, he has worked on movies like Kuruppu, Benz, and Marshal.

For a pan-India Allu Arjun film, the music has to make a strong impact alongside the story, screenplay, and action. Sai Abhynkar has already prepared tunes that match the film’s narrative, and Atlee reportedly gave him complete freedom to explore his creativity. This opportunity is expected to significantly boost Sai’s pan-India career and showcase his stamina as a music director.

The film, produced under Sun Pictures, has Deepika Padukone locked in as the heroine, with Mrunal Thakur and Janhvi Kapoor reportedly joining the cast. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how Allu Arjun raises the bar after Pushpa, both on screen and through its music.

Sharwanand’s Biker Release Likely Postponed

Share

Sharwanand is set to star in the upcoming Telugu film Biker, which has already generated positive buzz following the release of its teaser. The film was initially scheduled to hit theaters on December 6th, but reports now suggest that the release may be postponed.

Sources reveal that the film’s CG work is not yet complete, and the team wants to ensure high-quality visual effects, especially given the racing-heavy sequences that require extensive post-production. The makers are reportedly considering a new date to maintain the film’s technical standards.

A potential postponement could also work in the film’s favor at the box office. With major releases like Akhanda 2 lined up in the first week of December, moving Biker by a week or two could give it a clear window to maximize its commercial potential.

Directed by Abhilash Reddy Kankara, Biker also features Dr. Rajasekhar in an important role and is being produced by UV Creations.

Boyapati Srinivas Becomes Third Highest-Paid Telugu Director

Share

The trailer for Akhanda 2: Thandavam has sparked discussions not just about the film, but also about its director, Boyapati Srinivas. Reliable sources reveal that Boyapati has been paid Rs 35 crore for this project, making him the third highest-paid director in the Telugu film industry, behind only Rajamouli and Sukumar.

While Rajamouli and Sukumar operate on a different level entirely, Boyapati has firmly established himself as one of the top directors in the industry. Even Trivikram Srinivas is reported to have earned a maximum of around Rs 30 crore, making Boyapati’s current remuneration notably higher.

This impressive pay reflects not just Boyapati’s individual talent, but also the power of the Boyapati-Balayya combination and the Akhanda franchise. It highlights how successful directors can command huge earnings by creating blockbuster films and building strong, franchise-driven collaborations.

YS Jagan Plans Direct Phone Connect with Public in 2029

Share

After his historic victory in the 2019 Andhra Pradesh elections, YS Jagan Reddy took a markedly different approach to public interactions. Critics noted that he moved from being highly accessible—often stepping out to meet and embrace people—to a distant Chief Minister, separated from the public by lavish paradhas. This shift earned him the nickname “Paradha CM,” as his limited engagement with citizens was seen as a key reason for losing voter connect, which ultimately proved costly in elections.

However, the YSR Congress has recently signaled a new approach for the future. According to Peddireddy Ramchandra Reddy, a close aide of Jagan, the Chief Minister plans to return in 2029 and engage directly with party cadres and the general public via phone. Ramchandra Reddy stated, “Jagan will become CM again, and he will care for cadres this time. He will even speak with ordinary citizens on the phone to understand their problems.”

While former CM Chandrababu Naidu pioneered the IVRS system, using recorded messages to collect public feedback, this new initiative by Jagan to personally speak with people over the phone appears ambitious and somewhat impractical, observers have noted. Nonetheless, the announcement underscores Jagan’s intent to strengthen his connection with voters ahead of the next election.

Zohran Mamdani Meets Trump in Viral Oval Office Moment

Share

In a historic turn of events, Indian-origin Zohran Mamdani won the New York mayoral election, a result that goes against the interests of former US President Donald Trump, who has previously labelled Mamdani as a radical extremist.

In an interesting development, Trump met Mamdani at the White House for a formal discussion today. A particular moment from the interaction is now going viral on social media.

During the meeting, a reporter asked Mamdani whether he considers Trump a fascist. As Mamdani began to explain, Trump interrupted, saying, “That’s OK. You can just say YES. It’s easier than explaining it, I don’t mind,” while patting the New York Mayor on the back in a display of strength at the Oval Office.

The brief yet intriguing exchange between the former US President and the Indian-origin Mayor has captured global attention, sparking conversations about the dynamics of their interaction.

I lost around 10 kgs in 10–12 months. Health matters more than just acting.” She also shared that she only started taking her skincare seriously about four years ago, with much of her glow coming after Mahanati.

Eko Outshines Prithviraj’s Vilayath Buddha at Box Office

Share

Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is playing the antagonist in SS Rajamouli and Superstar Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film Vaaranasi, recently released his new Malayalam film Vilayath Buddha. Despite his massive stardom in Kerala, the film has been overshadowed at the box office by a smaller-budget movie, Eko.

Although Vilayath Buddha opened to decent numbers, its typical commercial formula and lack of engaging elements led audiences to reject it. Additionally, many viewers felt that the trailer reminded them of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, which created high expectations that the film ultimately failed to meet.

Prithviraj had previously delivered hits like Ayyappanum Koshiyum and Driving License, both centered around ego clashes. Fans expected Vilayath Buddha to follow suit with strong content, but it fell short of those expectations.

On the other hand, Eko, a mystery-thriller starring a relatively new actor, gained traction at the box office thanks to positive word of mouth. Although morning collections were modest, the film picked up momentum during evening and night shows. It is now poised to dominate the box office this weekend, as Vilayath Buddha continues to underperform.

This episode reinforces the trend that today’s audiences prioritize strong content over star power. Even a small-budget film can triumph over a star-driven commercial release if it offers an engaging and well-made experience.
