HC Raps KCR On Inept Handling Of Corona Crisis

Share

Telangana high court on Monday once again expressed serious unhappiness over handling the Coronavirus situation in the state by the K Chandrasekhar Rao government.

“Don’t test our patience. This is the last warning and we are giving you a final chance to bring the situation under control,” the high court told the state government.

The court ordered that the official bulletin being released by the state medical and health department should have all the details and the department should restore the official website which was shutdown on the pretext of technical issues.

It also asked the department to arrange a WhatsApp number for complaints from the patients and give it extensive publicity make extensive campaign about the same. More toll-free numbers should be introduced to receive complaints from the people.

Similarly, the government was asked to disclose the details of bed position in the hospitals and also about rapid antigen tests being undertaken.

It suggested that district collectors should be directed to disclose details of the Covid-19 cases in their respective districts.

The high court also directed chief secretary and secretary, medical and health to appear before the judges on July 28.

Jagan Cabinet Rejig A Simple Affair?

Share

With YSRCP president and Andhra Pradesh CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy finally fixing the muhurtam for reshuffle of his cabinet, speculations have begun on whether it would be a simple affair or a major exercise.

According to official sources, Jagan will take up cabinet reshuffle at 1 pm on July 22. A communication to this effect has been sent from the chief minister’s office to Raj Bhavan on Monday. The officials have been asked to make necessary arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony.

However, it is not very sure whether Jagan will confine his cabinet reshuffle to filling up of two vacant berths, necessitated by the resignation of two ministers – Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, on their election to Rajya Sabha.

But, Jagan cannot take more than two ministers into the cabinet because of the limitation of the cabinet strength. But they do not rule out the possibility of dropping a couple of more ministers and take fresh faces in their place.

If at all Jagan wants to drop any cabinet minister, then it will be a big development in the party. It is hard to speculate as who those unfortunate ministers are.

The names of home minister Mekathoti Sucharita and deputy chief minister Narayana Swamy are being heard in the media circles as those who might lose their berths.

However, party sources said the possibility of Jagan dropping any ministers is remote.

“In any case, he has announced that he will drop 80 per cent of the ministers after two and a half years. It is just a matter of less than one-and-a-half years,” sources said.

There is also a talk that Jagan might change portfolios of some ministers or give additional portfolios to some others as part of reshuffle.

As of now, the chances of Ramachandrapuram MLA Ch Venugopala Krishna and Palasa MLA Seediri Appala Raju being inducted into the cabinet are bright. The possibility of assembly speaker Tammineni Sitarama emerging as surprising choice is also not ruled out.

Meanwhile, Jagan finalised the names of minority woman leader Zakia Khanum from Rayachoti in Kadapa district and Dalit leader from East Godavari and former MP Pandula Ravindra Babu for the MLC posts to be filled up under the Governor’s quota. A communication has been sent to the Raj Bhavan in this regard.

All Eyes On AP Governor Today!

Share

The public in Andhra Pradesh are anxiously waiting for Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan to take a call on two important issues today that would decide the future of the state.

Following the High Court orders, State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is scheduled to meet the Governor this morning at 11.30 am seeking his reinstatement in the post. Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy had removed Nimmagadda from his post by issuing an ordinance making an amendment to the AP Panchayat Raj Act. Through the ordinance, the CM also tried to reduce the tenure, eligibility and method of appointment of the SEC.

The HC set aside the ordinance that removed Nimmagadda as the SEC. Jagan approached the Supreme Court too seeking stay on re-appointment of Nimmagadda as the SEC. The CM was irked after Nimmagadda postponed the local boy elections without any prior intimation to him.

At the same time, the AP government has sent two controversial Bills regarding the Capital for assent of the Governor. The state government introduced two Bills, one to repeal the Capital Region Development Authority Act (CRDA) and the other on decentralisation of administration, to facilitate trifurcation of the capital.

These Bills were passed in the Assembly in January, 2020, and then sent to the Legislative Council. The Opposition TDP which has a majority in the Upper House put brakes to the Bills and Council chairman MA Shariff announced that he was referring the Bills to the Select Committee, amidst ruckus in the House.

However, the Assembly refused to constitute the Select Committee stating that the Council chairman did not act as per the rules of the House. The opposition parties approached the High Court on the issue and it was pending there but the Assembly reintroduced and passed both the Bills again in the two-day Budget session held in June. The Bills were again sent to the Legilsative Council which did not take any decision on them.

After this, the two Bills were sent to Raj Bhavan for the Governor’s approval.

Bollywood starlet Kangana Ranaut’s comments that Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhaskar are B-grade actresses as they don’t raise their voice against Karan Johar have gone viral. Reacting on these comments, there are positive and negative repercussions to that.

Especially Sanjay Dixit, Rajasthan based IAS Officer is known for his controversial comments with communal undertones and now took a dig at Swara Bhaskar using Kangana’s comments. He stated that Kangana should have called Swara as a C-Grade actress rather B-grade. He has even posted a poll on his Twitter page asking if she is B or C grade or a XXX grade actress. Surprisingly many netizens have voted in favour of XXX actress on the poll.

Reacting on the same, Swara tweeted to IAS Officers Association of India to take care of Sanjay Dixit. “Dear IAS Association, do your officers not have enough work? This creepy old uncle ji seems to be totally jobless and a little obsessed with me! Pls offer him some counselling sessions. Since he seems unfit to be an officer of the Indian bureaucracy” she tweeted.

Though many have blasted Swara again saying that she deserves to get such comments, the fact is that Civil Servants shouldn’t have biased political and misogynist opinions on others, as they are here to serve everyone equally.

Sri Reddy Acting In ‘PaRannaGeeVi’

Share

Nutan Naidu, who became famous as the Bigg Boss 2 contestant is a hardcore fan of Pawan Kalyan from Visakhapatnam.

As a response to RGV’s “Power Star”, he is making “PaRannaGeeVi” by highlighting the letters implying the name Penmetsa Ram Gopal Varma.

As per an inside news, the maker has taken a farm house in Hyderabad to complete the shoot within three days. The target is to release the film on 25th July along with “Power Star”.

Surprising aspect is that Sri Reddy is appearing in this film along with some other known faces.

So, it can be understood that the story line is going to be the controversial incident of how RGV lured Sri Reddy to utter a vulgar word against Pawan Kalyan.

Another point to be underlined is that this film “Parannageevi” (Parasite) is releasing on Shreyas ET on Pay Per View basis.

Initially, “Power Star” was supposed to release on this. But Shreyas ET has backed off after the warnings from film industry. In the same place, a satire on RGV is coming up now. That’s the irony.

Raju Speaks For TDP, Acts For BJP!

Share

Strange are the ways of rebel YSR Congress party MP from Narasapuram parliamentary constituency K Raghurama Krishnam Raju, who has virtually entered into a confrontation with the party leadership.

Of late, Raju has been speaking in favour of Telugu Desam Party’s decisions, while trying to pamper the Bharatiya Janata Party leadership. But on the record, he says he has been a strong loyalist of the YSRC and has no intentions of changing parties.

The YSRC MP has openly endorsed the demand for the Telugu Desam Party for retaining Amaravati as the capital city for Andhra Pradesh.

On Monday, too, he said Amaravati should be continued as the administrative capital and announced that he would take up the demand with President Ram Nath Kovind,

“I am going to meet the President of India on Tuesday and request him to see that the capital should be retained at Amaravati,” Raju said.

He wondered who had given the advice to chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to adopt the South Africa model to have three capitals and why he was attracted towards this model.

“If Jagan gives me appointment, I will explain to him why the move is wrong,” he said.

Raju reminded that Jagan, too, had supported Amaravati as the capital city before the elections and also in his election manifesto.

“Jagan claims he will not change his word and stand on any issue, has now take a different turn and is going in for three capitals,” he said.

The YSRC MP also supported the TDP stand with regard to Mansas Trust and Simhachalam temple trust in Visakhapatnam.

“During the regime of the TDP, the Simhachalam temple was well maintained by senior TDP leader P Ashok Gajapathi Raju. After he was stripped of the post unceremoniously, the goshala (cow shelter) of the temple has suffered a lot and several cows died,” he pointed out.

He said those who had taken over the trust forcibly would face the consequences of sacking Ashok.

“And I am sure he will be back into the temple soon,” he said.

Interestingly, Raju also made an attempt to get further closer to the BJP.

On Monday, he announced that he was donating his three-months salary as an MP to the Sri Ram Mandir Trust which is constructing the Ram Temple at Ayodhya.

Producer Called Hackers To Attack RGV’s ATT?

Share

Silence cannot be taken for granted all the time. No one is openly raising voice on RGV’s “Power Star” but that seems to be not a sign of ‘clear sky’ for RGV to take off.

Initially, when the film was set to release on Shreyas ATT, some warnings were sent to its owner to pull off the agreements from RGV.

Eventually the director has designed his own platform and came up with his trailer and film on that. The film is about to release on 25th of this month,

As per a sleeper cell within the film industry, some serious attempts are being made to sabotage the attempts of RGV to release “Power Star”.

A popular producer who has worked closely with the social media wing of a party during the recent elections is attempting to do a cyber attack on RGV’s new ATT rgvworldtheatre using some hackers from abroad.

But it is very risky and legally serious if this really happens. The cyber laws are very strict and if the system tracks the convicts, they will be punished and kept behind bars even if it is in India or the USA. Because, since the plan is leaked, it is very easy to suspect the concerned producer.

In case, any hacking takes place, the cases will be filed on the producer and he cannot escape the law.

In Telangana, the cases reporting has come down while in Andhra Pradesh, they are surging like stock market shares.

Tapsee on Kangana’s comments: I won’t take advantage of someone’s death

Share

From the last couple of weeks, heroine Kangana Ranaut is busy taking advantage of Sushanth Singh Rajput’s suicide as she wants the likes of Karan Johar to be implicated and interrogated regarding the former’s death. In that process, Kangana made some shocking comments on Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhaskar, calling them as B-grade actresses who has no guts to raise voice against nepotism.

“Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhaskar are better-looking girls than Alia Bhatt and Ananya Panday, but still they are b-grade actresses because of nepotism only. They are needy actors who don’t have projects in hand and their existence is proof of nepotism” said Kangana, in the interview. Reacting strongly on the comments, Taapsee says, “I won’t take advantage of someone’s death and leverage cheap allegations as well as hatred on anyone”.

Responding on the comments made by Kangana that she is B-grade actress with no work, Taapsee clarifies, “I’m doing almost 3-4 films in the last 5 years and recently announced my upcoming 5 films. None of these films are produced by so called Karan Johar or anyone stated by Kangana. As I’m not supporting Kangana to spew venom on Karan, she thinks that I’m Karan’s puppet. But then, I’ve neither friendship nor hatred with Karan”.

Saying the above, she blasted Kangana for making use of someone’s death to get unwanted publicity. “I want to have lots of positivity in my life than negative thoughts. If Kangana has a right to have her opinion, I have a right to mine” Taapsee articulated.

Veerappan’s Daughter Gets Promotion In BJP

Share

Notorious sandalwood smuggler Veerappan’s daughter Vidya has joined the BJP earlier this year in February. In a span of six months, Vidya Veerappan has grown in the party and the leadership has now given her promotion too.

A lawyer by profession, Vidya has been appointed vice-president of Tamil Nadu state Yuva Morcha. Tamil Nadu BJP chief Dr. L Murugan acknowledged this in an official statement. However this has led to a huge debate with the Tamil Nadu BJP. Though Vidya is quite capable and an active leaders, a few insiders opined that there are many seniors in the party. Overall it’s a mixed reaction from TN BJP.

The central BJP is eyeing the assembly elections next year and this time, it wants to cash the opportunity as there are no charismatic leaders after late Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi. Though MK Stalin is doing a bit, BJP wants to create an impact and is making moves swiftly and strengthening the party whenever, it is seeing an opportunity.
