Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK are two Telugu speaking people who we are really proud of for their works. These directors have made D for Dopidi in Telugu. Also, their Bollywood projects like Shor in the City, Go Goa Gone, Happy Ending, A Gentleman, Stree and some other projects as well.

Well, The Family Man, which has received some amazing rave reviews from all over is also made by them. It has Sundeep Kishan play an Army Major. They are super excited to have Samantha on board for The Family Man 2.

Now, these young filmmakers are going to make another web series and this time, it is going to be a huge one. They are going to make one with one of the popular Bollywood stars Shahid Kapoor.

As per a source close to the development, discussions between Shahid and Raj-DK are said to be going on and the former has shown keen interest in the web series. This project is still in the preliminary stage right now and the pandemic has thrown things too far and the work has come to a standstill everywhere. So soon, once things fall back to normalcy, the makers will confirm the project.

Dharmana, Rao & Venugopal Into Jagan’s Cabinet!

Dharmana Krishna Das, who has been loyal to YS family, is likely to be made Deputy Chief Minister. This is as part of CM YS Jagan’s cabinet reshuffle. Ever since ministers Pilli Subash Chandrabose and Mopidevi Venkata Ramana elected to Rajya Sabha and submitted their resignations to respective ministries, the minor rejig of AP cabinet is imminent.

Dharmana Krishna Das, who is currently serving as Roads and Buildings portfolio, will now be given the responsibility of Revenue, Registration and Stamps portfolio and promoted as the Deputy CM. Hailing from Srikakulam district and MLA of Narasannapeta, Dharmana Krishna Das is brother of Dharmana Prasada Rao.

Meanwhile, Darsi MLA and industrialist Maddisetti Venugopal Rao is likely to be inducted into CM Jagan’s cabinet. Venugoal Rao, who won against TDP’s Kadiri Babu Rao in 2019, is going to be made as Roads and Buildings Minister. Palasa MLA Dr Sidiri Appalaraju is going to be inducted into AP cabinet. Appalaraju will be given the portfolios of Animal Husbandries, Fisheries and Marketing.

Though reports and speculations were rife that Speaker Tammineni Sitaram would also be inducted into Cabinet, it’s reliably learnt that CM Jagan has no such plans as of now. Also, there were rumours that CM Jagan is unhappy with Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita and Deputy CM Narayana Swamy and these two may lose their berths or get demoted, it’s learnt that CM Jagan doesn’t want to disturb key portfolios in the present reshuffle. CM Jagan wants to keep the cabinet reshuffle a simple affair this time.

Lakshmi: Meditation helped me understand who I am

Telugu actress Lakshmi Manchu says meditation has helped her understand herself, and accept her anger and disappointments.

Asked what drove her towards meditation, Lakshmi told IANS: “It happened by fluke, though even before meditation, I was really into self-discovery, in terms of ‘why am I here? Who am I? Why was I born? What is this life?’ I had a lot of questions in my early years, being in elementary, and then, I think I was in my ninth grade when I took my first course of quantum physics or self-discovery. When I was 18, I did my first real meditation course. I got hooked to it because what it teaches you that everything you need is within you.”

“I love believing that life is not stuck in this body, and that we have so much of our soul journey, which is continuous. So, doing meditation aligns you with your purpose, even in this life,” she added.

The daughter of veteran actor Mohan Babu has been practicing meditation for a long time.

“I’ve been very consistent since the quarantine because now I have no excuse not to meditate,” said the actress, who has spent six days in a meditation and past life regression retreat.

Talking about how it has helped her, she said: “It has really helped me understand who I am like, accept all of me, my anger, my upsets, my up and downs, my disappointments and to really be aware of it and to learn that and to come to terms with life, which is always going to keep giving you twists and turns.”

Tammineni To Get Into Jagan Cabinet?

For the last few days, there have been reports that YSRCP president and CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has finalised the names of Dr Sidiri Appala Raju, low-profile MLA from Palasa in Srikakulam district and Chelluboyina Venugopala Krishna from Ramachandrapuram constituency in East Godavari district for the two cabinet berths.

The berths have fallen vacant following the resignation of deputy chief minister Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and excise minister Mopidevi Venkataramana. So, the talk of a minor cabinet reshuffle has been going on.

While Appala Raju hails from fishermen community to which Mopidevi belongs, Venugopala Krishna belongs to the same Setti Balija caste of Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose. So, the caste equations would be balanced, if they get into the cabinet.

But now, there is a latest talk doing rounds in the media circles that assembly speaker Tammineni Sitaram is also strongly lobbying for the cabinet berth.

Tammineni, who belongs to a hitherto neglected Kalinga caste, has been bringing pressure on Jagan to give him the cabinet post.

Sources said Tammineni had met Jagan along with his wife and put forth his demand.

He reportedly told the chief minister that being a senior leader from Srikakulam, he deserved the cabinet berth and he would go all out to strengthen the party in the district.

If Tammineni is taken into the cabinet, Jagan will have to look for another candidate to chair the assembly.

In all probability, the chance might go to deputy speaker Kona Raghupathi. His father Kona Prabhakar Rao had, in the past, served as the Speaker.

Since Raghupathi is soft-spoken and non-controversial unlike Tammineni, it would also be welcomed by the opposition Telugu Desam Party.

It would also mean doing justice to hitherto neglected Brahmin community, reports said.

Pawan Kalyan to Grace Nithin’s Wedding!

An announcement was made by Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh that there is an intriguing film ‘PhoneBhoot’ coming up, where glam doll Katrina Kaif, Gully Boy fame Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhadak fame Ishaan Khatter would play prominent roles.

Photo booth, touted to be a horror-comedy grabbed the attention of film buffs as the photoshoots were found to be compelling. It will be helmed by Gurmeet Singh and will be bankrolled by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The film shoot with the cast and crew is probable to commence later this year.

At Samsung’s digital event Unpacked on August 5, the company will launch five new devices, its head of the mobile business announced in a blog post on Monday. These include the expected Galaxy Note 20 series and the Galaxy Fold 2, as well as rumoured new smart watch, tablet and earbuds.

Samsung mobile chief Tae-moon Roh said the company invested heavily in R&D to adapt to the needs of the ‘Next Normal’ impelled by the pandemic.

“We’ve deployed new solutions in record time to do everything from improving video-chat technology to helping frontline workers stay safe on the job,” he wrote. Going forward, there will be “even bolder innovation”, he wrote in a post on Samsung’s online newsroom.

The upcoming Note series could be launched in three models, the Note 20, Note 20 plus and Note 20 Ultra, CNet reported, adding that the Ultra could have a slightly thinner body and more screen space than the Galaxy Note 10 Plus launched last year. As for the Galaxy Fold 2, the second generation Galaxy Fold that opens up as a tablet, it is expected to be a big improvement on last year’s version, which had screen defects.

The new earbuds likely to be launched on August 5 are said to have enhancements such as noise cancellation, while the smart watch could feature a rotating bezel, CNet reported.

Also in line could be the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus, which could be the first tablet produced as a 5G model, although last year’s Galaxy Tab S6 also had a 5G option for the South Korean market alone, where the fifth generation mobile technology was first launched nationwide in April last year.

Samsung’s Unpacked digital event is scheduled for Monday, August 5 at 7.30 PM IST.

YSRCP: New ministers to take oath very soon

The YSRCP is currently re-assigning a few of its ministries, and is also re-assigning a few posts in its cabinet, which have been recently vacated. It is also expanding the number of positions in its cabinet.

According to the latest reports, this will be done on the 22nd of this month, and all the new ministers will take their oaths on that very day itself. The YSRCP has made it very clear that the empty seats will be given to only to the person belonging to the same community as the one that resigned in that position.

MLA Chelluboina Venugopala Krishna, belonging to the Setti Balija community, is reportedly set to get a ministry, and MLA Seediri Appalaraju, belonging to the fishermen community is said to be getting another ministry. The YSRCP is said to officially announce these names within the next 1 or 2 days.

On the other hand, the YSRCP has reportedly come to a decision about the candidates who can fill in the vacant MLC posts. When Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Mopidevi were given Rajya Sabha seats, they reigned their position as MLCs.

The YSRCP has also recently requested the Governor to nominate two candidates under the Governor quota, for the consideration to the post of MLCs. These two candidates are Raichoti minority women member Maina Zakia Khan, and West Godavari SC member Mosen Raju.

UK considers suspending extradition treaty with Hong Kong

LONDON: UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab is considering suspending Britain’s extradition treaty with Hong Kong, after China imposed a tough new national security law.

As tensions have grown with Beijing, Raab said it can no longer be “business as usual”.

He is reportedly planning to follow the example of the United States, Australia and Canada on Monday by suspending extradition arrangements with the territory.

“We’re working with our international partners to see what other offers they will make to the people of Hong Kong and I’ve also said that we’d review a whole range of other considerations,” Raab told Sky News’ Sophy Ridge on Sunday.

“One of the things that we reviewed is our extradition arrangements and I will be updating the House (of Commons) on the conclusion of that review”.

The review comes only days after Britain backtracked on plans to give Chinese telecommunications company Huawei a role in the U.K’s new high-speed mobile phone network amid security concerns fueled by rising tensions between Beijing and Western powers.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s government has already criticized China’s decision to impose a sweeping new national security law on Hong Kong.

The UK has accused the Beijing government of a serious breach of the Sino-British Joint Declaration under which the U.K.

returned control of Hong Kong to China in 1997, and announced it would open a special route to citizenship for up to 3 million eligible residents of the community.

Beijing has objected to the move.

China’s ambassador to Britain, Liu Xiaoming, last week described the offer as “gross interference” in Chinese affairs.

Liu told the BBC’s Andrew Marr on Sunday that Britain was “dancing to the tune” of the U.S.

and accused Western countries of trying to foment a “new cold war” with China.

He also rejected the allegations of human rights abuses against the mainly-Muslim Uighur people.

Prof K Nageshwar: Is BJP Behind Rajasthan Crisis

The BJP is repeatedly claiming that it is nothing to do with the developments in Rajasthan calling it an internal revolt within the Congress. But, what is the reality?

It is true that things are not in proper order in Rajasthan Congress. The unfolding crisis begun with the political bickerings within the congress which is not uncharacteristic of this party. But, it has certainly not reached the present proportion without the tacit support of the saffron brigade. The BJP always claimed detachment from similar developments that happened in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh where things culminated in the heralding of BJP regimes. The Congress dissidents have joined the BJP and became ministers. The Rajasthan is certainly not different from the pattern quite evident in the recent past.

The Sachin Pilot led Congress rebel MLAs are housed in a hotel in BJP ruled Haryana, but not in the home state of Rajasthan and not even a neutral destination. This cannot be accidental. The Manohar Lal Khattar, the BJP chief Minister’s police is providing protection to Congress dissidents. The Rajasthan police were initially not even allowed.

Sachin Pilot met Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Congress rebel turned BJP MP. Though the BJP tries to call it a personal rendezvous. But the politics are palpable.

The audio tapes of union minister conniving with middle men to woo Congress rebel MLAs have surfaced though their authenticity still needs to be verified.

The BJP defending Sachin Pilot’s actions with a remarkable alacrity is not without any political motives. All this does not absolve the Congress. The party is unraveling. As veteran political analyst Yogendra Yadav observed the grand old party does not have a carrot or stick to offer to its party men. It lacks a leadership that can provide a moral authority or it does not have an ideology that makes the party cohesive enough.

Finally AP CM YS Jagan is going to expand the cabinet and from AP Raj Bhavan sources, the date and time is fixed too. On July 22nd, at 1 PM, Jagan will include two members in this cabinet. MLCs Pilli Subhash Chandrabose and Mopidevi Venkataramana have resigned to their ministries after getting elected to Rajya Sabha.

In place of Pilli and Mopidevi, Jagan is inducting two people. There were many contenders to get cabinet post but highly placed sources say that Ramchandrapuram MLA Challabouyina Venugopalakrishna and Palasa MLA Seediri Appalaraju were picked up. But the YSRCP sources are maintaining absolute silence on this as there are clear instructions for the party high command to keep mum.

Apart from this, Jagan has decided two names for the MLCs posts under Governor’s quota. Minority woman leader Maina Jakiya Kanum and SC leader Mosenu Raju are the names finalized.

We shall wait for YSRCP’s official word about this.

Mega Brother Toying With A Poor Idea?

Mega brother Nagababu has left “Jabardasth” in haste and then started appearing as a judge on Zee Telugu’s Adhirindi. Slowly this program is also picking up as the YouTube videos of Adhirinidi skits are getting millions of views now. Then comes his plan to impress the audiences of comedy skits.

Recently Nagababu’s good disciples, who happen to be contestants of Jabardasth show, are busy advertising about a contest. Calling it as a first-ever digital comedy show, that goes by the title “Vigil”, they are asking people to send comedy videos (which they have done with a team) such that they will judge those videos and select 30 teams. Later, all the teams will be pushed into a competition through Zoom video-conference or maybe live recording.

Actually the lifted idea of “Comedy Central”, which turned into Jabardasth and Adhirindi in Telugu arena, has worked due to many of its glamorous anchors, celebrity judges and good editing as well as rich production values. Without all the hungama, if contestants have to make a video themselves with sound effects and all, it is going to be a costly affair.

If all the Jabardasth contestants are asked to produce, shoot and edit their skits themselves, the result may not come out as good as a professional technical team’s work. Missing out this key aspect, one wonders if Nagababu’s idea has that business potential in it. Though Nagababu announced cash-prize for winners, definitely he will not be doing charity to award comedians.
