Include COVID-19 package in Arogyashri, says Akbaruddin Owaisi
HYDERABAD: Taking cognisance of the fact that many Arogyashri patients were being turned away by private hospitals amid the lockdown, Leader of Opposition Akbaruddin Owaisi requested the state government to include a COVID-19 related package in the scheme.
Akbar, who was addressing a press conference, said that the Directorate of Medical Education has issued guidelines making it mandatory for the visiting patients to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). He also noted that as the Arogyashri patients are mostly underprivileged, they do not have access to such precautions. Akbar said the hospitals are sending the patients away citing this as a reason.
In context to this he said: “Arogyashri’s rates have not been revised despite the directions by DME. I request the State government to include a COVID-19 package and allocate a sum for the same in the Arogyashri scheme.”
He requested Eatala to look into the issue and also to take action against hospitals who were refusing to treat Arogyashri patients. Apart from that Akbar said that the government has to do more COVID tests, but meanwhile he acknowledged that it was not possible to conduct tests on everyone.

Earlier Tarak in his official statement said the final output will thrill the fans and now Charan has promised to give the best. This is enough for the fans now to be more excited about NTR’s teaser.

Rangareddy court grants bail to Osmania University Professor Kasim
HYDERABAD: Osmania University Professor C Kasim, who was arrested in January 2020, was granted conditional bail by the Rangareddy district court on Tuesday.
Professor Kasim was directed to pay Rs 2 lakh as deposit and furnish two sureties.
Professor Kasim has been accused of sedition and links with the outlawed Maoist party. In addition to the cases registered against him at Siddipet district and Warangal under the same charges, a case was also registered against him at LB Nagar of Rachakonda commissionerate in November, 2019.
He is accused of having close links with the Maoist couple Narla Ravi Sharma and Bellapu Anuradha, who were arrested by LB Nagar police in November, 2019. Prof Kasim and several others were named accused in this case.
He may be released from prison on Wednesday, sources close to Prof Kasim said. He has already secured bail in other cases pending against him at different police stations in the State, they confirmed.

Why Telangana Congress Working Committee President, Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy lagged behind in the race of PCC president who is otherwise known as a specialist in lobbying?

Revanth was very active leader when he was in TDP but he joined Congress Party later. Congress and TDP forged an alliance in the last assembly elections and that brought huge prominence to Revanth.

Some leaders have expressed their concern that Revanth Reddy will promote himself rather than the Congress party if he is given the post.

Rana and Miheeka Bajaj to Get Engaged Today
It was only recently that Rana had announced that his girlfriend Miheeka Bajaj said yes to his proposal. Rana Daggabati took to social media to share the happy news last week.
Now, both of them are getting engaged to each other. The engagement ceremony will take place later today in Hyderabad.
Daggubati family members and Bajaj khandaan will be present at this ceremony. But they will adhere to the lockdown rules. The ceremony will not be a grand affair due to the government guidelines.

Jagan Wants AP Back On Tracks Quickly
YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to have decided to bring the entire state back on tracks as quickly as possible, despite the increasing number of Corona virus cases in the state.
Jagan clearly told the officials on Tuesday that there is every need for the State’s economy to open up during lockdown 4.0 and activate every sector that has gone into dormant state in the last 55 days to prevent spread of Covid-19.
He asked the collectors and SPs to bring the state’s economy back on the rails right from small shops, public transport and other facilities and the same time creating an awareness among the people on the precautions to be taken, like maintaining physical distance and wearing the mask.
Except shopping malls, theatres and religious activities, all other activities will have to be started by the collectors by taking all precautionary measures.
As part of restoration of normalcy, Jagan announced a calendar of programmes in the coming months for revitalization and rejuvenation of the economy.
As per the calendar, half of the incentive arrears withheld by the previous government to the MSMEs of Rs 905 crore would be cleared by May 22 and the remaining cleared by June.
By May 26, all the archakas, pastors and imams would get a one-time help of Rs 5,000 each. Rythu Bharosa centres would be opened by May 30 to rejuvenate the farmers needs for which a JC has been appointed.
YSR Vahana Mitra incentive of Rs 10,000 each would be delivered to auto and cab drivers on June 4 and by June 10, barbers, washermen, tailors and petty shop owners would be given an incentive of Rs 10,000 each.
By June 17, weavers would be given incentives as part of YSR Chenetha Nestham. YSR Kapu Nestham would be implemented from June 24 to cover all the women in the age-group of 45-60.
The second instalment incentive of Rs 450 crore would be released to the MSMEs by June 29.
On July 1, 1060, new 104 and 108 ambulances would be launched. An amount of Rs 18,750 each would be given to all women belonging to BC, SC, ST and Minorities in the age group of 45-60 on August 12 as part of YSR Cheyuta.
YSR Asara would be launched on September 11 to clear the loans of women as promised during the elections and the second instalment of Rythu Bharosa amount would be cleared in October at the rate of Rs 4,000 per family to meet the rabi requirements.
And interest-free loan of Rs 10,000 each would be given to 10 lakh hawkers as part of Jagannanna Thodu programme in October and they would be given identity cards, the Chief Minister said.
Agrigold would get aid in November and in January, Amma Vodi programme would be implemented and the last instalment of Rythu Bharosa amount would be disbursed in the same month at the rate of Rs 2,000 each to farmers for getting the harvest back home by Sankranti.
The Chief Minister said that the calendar has been prepared till June next year and strictly implemented by the officials.

BJP raps KCR for arrogant comments!
Telangana Rashra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s comments against the latest Rs 20 lakh crore economic stimulus package announced by Union finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman, describing it as bogus and hollow have incurred a strong reaction from the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders.
Senior BJP leader and Union minister of state for home G Kishan Reddy said KCR’s comments against the package smacked of arrogance and intolerance.
“They are irresponsible and unwarranted, at a time when the states and the Centre are supposed to work together as Team India, and overcome the crisis arising out of Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
Stating that it was not proper for KCR to do politicking at this challenging hour, Kishan Reddy said the Centre and the states have to bury their differences and work together. He said KCR should first study the package before making unwanted statements.
Taking exception to the language used by KCR against the Centre, the Union minister said the chief minister’s comments were highly objectionable.
“What loss the package has caused for Telangana. It is a wholesome package aimed at benefitting all the states in a big way, cutting across the regions and parties,” he said.
On KCR’s criticism against linking of relaxation of FRBM norms with certain economic reforms, the Union minister argued that the reforms were only aimed at boosting the economy and attracting new investments into the country.
He pointed out that the Telangana government, too, was liking payment of financial assistance to farmers under Rythu Bandhu scheme with reforms in agriculture.
“KCR announced that Rythu Bandhu is applicable only if the farmers cultivate the crops listed by the government. Did we oppose your policy on Rythu Bandhu? If what you are doing is correct, how can you blame the Centre for insisting on reforms? You can’t have this double-standards,” Kishan Reddy said.
