Jagan gave the last and final indirect warning to KCR?

Share

The huge water row between the two Telugu states is the happening topic in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. KCR is shell shocked with the G.O passed by the AP government for the uplift irrigation scheme near Pothireddypadu so that they can supply the water from Srisailam Project to the Rayalaseema area.

The AP government argues that KCR is the one who started this ruckus by issuing orders to build as many reservoirs as possible so that he can get water for drought areas like MahabubNagar and the most prominent one among all is the Palamuru-Rangareddy project. So, to satisfy their needs, the AP government has decided to extend the Pothireddypadu project.

However, AP countered it by stating that it is within its right to take up the enhancement works and it would only use its share of water. Jagan had stressed the need for taking a ‘humanitarian perspective’ of the issue as drought-hit Rayalaseema region is suffering even to meet its drinking needs.

These water disputes won’t end too soon and neither the central government nor supremo court can resolve them immediately and it would take years for a proper conclusion. Hence, Jagan gave an option to KCR that the abortion of the Palamuru project by the KCR can bring things to normal and the issued orders will be reversed.

So, instead of engaging in a war of words, both AP and TS should discuss the proper utilization of Krishna and Godavari water.

My Film.. My Wish.. My Business

Hero Suriya is a non-controversial person and he generally doesn’t make negative comments on anyone or any issue. But somehow controversies keep haunting Suriya yet he maintains his cools. Unfortunately he landed in one more controversy and that about his produced film ‘Pon Magal Vandhal.’

On 29th of this month, the film will directly release on Amazon Prime. However releasing ‘Pon Magal Vandhal,’ did not well with the Tamil Nadu theatres management. They threatened to boycott all the films of Suriya if he releases ‘Pon Magal Vandhal’ on OTT.

Reacting on this threat, Suriya reportedly gave strong counter. “No one knows when the theatres would open and I can’t wait that long for the theatres to open. If I do, my debts will pile up and I owe huge money to people. Will anyone come forward to clear my debts?” questioned Suriya, says reports.

Adding, “Nobody helps when a film flops at the box office likewise the theatres don’t share the profit when the film scores a hit. Why should I even wait for those sort of people. It’s my film.. my wish.. my business and I will release as per my wish. I don’t care or bow down to theatres.”

These are quite tough statements apparently from Suriya who is known as a perfect gentleman. But circumstances can change any one and so have forced Suriya to retaliate against the threat of theatres management.

Water war: KCR brings all his experience and shocks Jagan

It is known that the AP government has issued a G.O to lift 3TMCs of water from Pothireddypadu to the Rayalaseema region. Now, the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao has become alert and complained Krishna Board about the injustice being happened to their people in the share from Krishna River’s water.

Now, being fed up with the board, KCR has decided to construct another lift irrigation reservoir on the top of the Jurala project so that he can get a major share form the Krishna River. He instructed the officials to check the requirements for the construction of the reservoir that has a capacity of 15-20 TMCs and he may arrange a review meeting in Pragathi Bhavan soon.

The argument is that AP is within its right to take up the project, which is meant to provide water to the parched districts of Rayalaseema and parts of Nellore and Prakasam. But the Telangana is going to bring in additional projects into the play so that they can send the water to Mahaboob Nagar which is a drought area so that they can ruin the plans of the AP government.

So, the upcoming days are going to be very tense and both CMs are determined to gain an upper hand at all costs.

Rashmika steals a mango, gets chased

Actress Rashmika Mandanna, in a recent chat with fans on Twitter, revealed some of her childhood secrets as she had asked her fans to ask her something different from routine.

Well, one of her fans asked her to reveal one of the funny incidents that had taken place during her childhood and she said that she stole a mango once and it was more like a chasing sequence in between her and the owner of the mango tree.

She replied, “Ones my friends and I were walking to our tuition and we saw one mango tree -I climbed the tree- got caught- and that house aunty came out running with one stick. This is one common story but you should’ve seen that aunty running behind us – scolding us and all. Face with tears of joy.”

Rashmika even said that she was a very naughty and mischievous as a child. Talking about the first movie she watched in the theatre, she remembers that it is Gilli, to which her father took her. Also, she said that her father, who was a movie buff back then, doesn’t watch films anymore, especially when she has become an actor. Also, she says she doesn’t know why.

Why ‘that media house’ changed their path on YS Jagan?

Share

Both ruling and opposition parties in the Andhra Pradesh have their own media houses and favourable print media to back up their every activity. After the YSRCP came into power, certain media houses criticized the rule of the Jagan and contradicted with him in his every decision.

On the other side, the ruling party’s favourable media started to defend the government and started a cold war with the other media houses as well. In some instances, they attacked each other personally. Most importantly, the media which has been favourable to the opposition is the pro-active force in the state and even in the past they praised Chandra Babu and projected him as the greatest leader ever.

Now, the situation has changed. YSRCP is the supreme force in the state and Jagan is turning out invincible at this moment. On the other side, TDP is on the verge of the collapse as their leaders are leaving the party as a flock and there is no clarity about its future after CBN. So, it seems like certain biased media has changed their way for the greater good.

In the recent time, this particular media who used to troll Jagan in his every turn is showering praises on the AP Chief Minster and are applauding all his efforts in the COVID-19 control activities. They say that Jagan is a visionary and he always thinks of the AP people’s welfare and the most potent leader in this entire country.

They came to know that Jagan will become as an unbeatable force in the near future and shifted their base to the ruling party. If media is a bridge between People and politicians, that bridge tilts both ways.

14 Reels Plus Signs Harish Shankar

Director Harish Shankar is making some noise since the eight years completion of his film ‘Gabbar Singh’ last week. But this noise is about the spat between him and producer Bandla Ganesh. Nonetheless, the director is finding support from many producers. Producer PVP praised Harish to the sky and added that many producers like him are waiting to make a film with him.

PVP’s words have seriously turned true as Harish has signed one more film. 14 Reels Plus banner which bankrolled their maiden film ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh’ has signed Harish once again. Taking to Twitter, the production house shared the update.

“We are proud and happy to be working with Powerful Director @harish2you garu again after #GaddalakondaGanesh! More details to be announced once the Industry is back to business post lockdown!,” tweeted the production house twitter handle.

This is totally a surprising announcement as Harish has already signed a film with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan in Mythri Movie Makers banner.

Will Harish make a film with 14 Reels Plus first or Mythri Makers is yet to be known. Or will #PSPK28 be a joint production of the two banners. A clarity is needed here and in the coming days we may find answers.

Actress On Challenges Of Gaining Weight

Share

Actress Kriti Sanon found gaining weight for her role in “Mimi” tough, and says she had to force herself to eat as she had lost interest in food.

Kriti gained 15 kilos for “Mimi”.

“We had to shoot the pregnancy scenes and Laxman sir was very clear that it was necessary to gain weight for those scenes because he didn’t want the character to have a chiseled face,” Kriti said.

“Since I have a high-metabolism, I knew this was going to be a task for me. I knew I had to increase my appetite and calorie intake, so I completely stopped working out, even Yoga! I used to have poori-halwa-chana as breakfast and sweets after every meal. Though I enjoyed initially, later I had to force myself to eat as I had lost interest in food. In fact, when I used to not feel hungry, I used to eat a cheese slice,” she added.

“Mimi” narrates the story of a young aspiring actress who is a dancer in Mandawa and how she ends up being a surrogate for a couple. The film is directed by Laxman Utekar.

During a live session on Helo app, the actress opened up about working in the film.

Talking about the movie, she said: “‘Mimi’ is the only film which I said yes after hearing the idea but not the script. When I heard the script later, I realised the role has a lot to offer to me as an actor.”

Meanwhile, Utekar has shared that “Mimi” is almost complete, with some shoot left, which might lead to delay in release of the movie.

Why Different Rules For MIM Leaders?

Share

he silence of the Telangana government towards the alleged highhanded behaviour legislators and other leaders of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen in Hyderabad has drawn a lot of criticism from various quarters, but the K Chandrasekhar Rao government is caring a damn for the criticism.

The latest example of MIM legislator Ahmed Balala got the barricades removed on Dabeerpura flyover by his followers, even as the police constables watching the show like mute spectators triggered a debate in the political circles.

The videos of Balala ordering the removal of barricades on the flyover while a constable was watching it helplessly went viral in the social media.

The city police officials later tried to defend the department saying that the police themselves had removed the barricades.

They were obviously are trying to cover the highhandedness of the MIM legislators by taking the burden of lapse on themselves.

The video clearly shows that constable present was talking on his cell phone, probably informing the higher officials, but MLA and his followers without the nod from constable pulled a side the barricades.

“If there were instructions from higher officials, why the constable was not seen extending his hand in removing barricades,” a Congress leader asked. “It clearly showed how the police department is scared and afraid of MIM Party and its leaders in Old City of Hyderabad.”

The Congress leader pointed out that the treatment by the police officials was different in other parts of the state, as they were penalising the people with challans and booking cases on the pretext of lock down violations.

“They do not have any moral right to harass the common man in the name of breaking rules while letting others free under political pressures,” he said.

AI system being developed to tell which COVID patients are at risk of cardiac events

Share

New York: Scientists in the US are using artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms to identify which COVID-19 patients are at risk of adverse cardiac events such as heart failure, sustained abnormal heartbeats, heart attacks, and death. The researchers from Johns Hopkins University in the US said they have recently received a USD 195,000 grant from the National Science Foundation for the study.

They noted that increasing evidence of COVID-19’s negative impacts on the cardiovascular system highlights a great need for identifying COVID-19 patients at risk for heart problems.

However, the researchers said no such predictive capabilities currently exist.

“This project will provide clinicians with early warning signs and ensure that resources are allocated to patients with the greatest need,” said Natalia Trayanova, a professor at the Johns Hopkins University, and the project’s principal investigator.

The first phase of the one-year project will collect the data from more than 300 COVID-19 patients admitted to Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS).

The data includes electrocardiogram (ECG), cardiac-specific laboratory tests, continuously-obtained vital signs like heart rate and oxygen saturation, and imaging data such as CT scans, and echocardiography.

The researchers said this data will be used to train the algorithm using machine learning, a field of AI which enables machines to learn from past data or experiences without being explicitly programmed.

They will then test the algorithm with data from COVID-19 patients with heart injury at JHHS, other nearby hospitals and some in New York City.

The researchers said they hope to create a predictive risk score that can determine up to 24 hours ahead of time which patients are at risk of developing adverse cardiac events.

For new patients, the model will perform a baseline prediction that is updated each time new health data becomes available, they said.

According to the researchers, their approach will be the first to predict COVID-19-related cardiovascular outcomes.

“As a clinician, major knowledge gaps exist in the ideal approach to risk stratify COVID-19 patients for new heart problems that are common and may be life-threatening,” said Allison G. Hays, Associate Professor at the Johns Hopkins University.

“These patients have varying clinical presentations and a very unpredictable hospital course,” Hays said.

The researchers explained that similar studies exist, but only for predictions of general COVID-19 mortality or a patient’s need for ICU care.

The approach is significantly more advanced, as it will analyse multiple sources of data, and will produce a risk score that is updated as new data is acquired, they said.

The researchers said the project will shed more light on how COVID-19-related heart injury could result in heart dysfunction and sudden cardiac death, which is critical in the fight against COVID-19.

It will also help clinicians determine which biomarkers are most predictive of adverse clinical outcome, they noted.

Once the research team creates and tests their algorithm, they intend to make it widely available to any interested health care institution to implement.

“By predicting who’s at risk for developing the worst outcomes, health care professionals will be able to undertake the best routes of therapy or primary prevention and save lives,” Trayanova added.

Challenges being tackled to welcome Indian students for next academic year: France

Share

NEW DELHI: France said on Monday it was making all efforts to address logistical and planning challenges to welcome Indian students for the next academic year, as it highlighted strong people-to-people ties as the core of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

As the COVID-19 pandemic brings about lockdowns and suspended events, France proposed several innovative ways to foster the cooperation with India across the scope of their bilateral relations.

The French embassy in India said in a statement the crisis will be turned into opportunities to boost the partnerships in education, research and culture.

“Logistical and planning challenges are being actively tackled to welcome Indian students for higher studies for the next academic year.

Thanks to a strong social and public healthcare system, France has taken care of its foreign students on an equal footing with French students, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Visas and scholarships have been extended wherever necessary,” it said.

For new students, the embassy said France is fully geared up to enable the commencement of the academic year through virtual classrooms, if necessary.

“France has also augmented its proportion of scholarships by 50 per cent – equivalent to Rs 10 crore – for this academic year. These scholarships will be awarded regardless of whether a student starts the semester in India or France, as Indian students are still keen on following their dreams in France,” the statement said.

The embassy said it will organise a virtual version of its bi-annual ‘Choose France Tour’ at the end of September for the intake of students for the 2021 academic session.

This will enable a greater number of French institutions to interact with Indian students, reaching aspiring scholars from all over India, it said.

“At the core of the strategic partnership between India and France lie strong people-to-people ties. As France and India gradually emerge from their lockdowns, enhanced exchanges will pave the way for a new world,” said Emmanuel Lenain, the Ambassador of France to India.

“Trusted global scientific collaboration is the need of the hour since no country can achieve a breakthrough alone.

Our country recognises that education will play a critical role in shaping a post-pandemic world, and thus reiterates that Indian students and researchers are welcome in France,” he said.

On the cinematic front, while the Festival of Cannes will be missed, the film market will be held online in June – as will upcoming professional meetings for the film industry, the statement said.

On the artistic front, in these difficult times, the embassy said it is continuing collaborations with its Indian partners.

“India will remain the Guest of Honour Country at the 2021 Paris Book Fair, for which preparations are underway,” the statement added.

“The French Institute in India, through its #ifionline programme, is bringing France to Indian homes like never before through films, documentaries, museum visits, online training, dance and music performances,” it said.

Telangana To Relax Lockdown To Large Extent?

Share

Telangana is all set to announce large scale relaxations for lockdown in the state imposed two months ago to contain the spread of corona virus.

A decision to this effect is expected to be taken by the state cabinet meeting this evening. Except in three or four containment areas in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, it is going to be more or less a normal life in the city.

Of course, the restrictions with regard to places of public gatherings like malls, cinema theatres, function halls, public parks etc will continue as per the guidelines given by the Centre.

Telangana Rastra Samithi working president and IT minister K T Rama Rao tweeted: “Have been receiving number of suggestions on the relaxations needed in view of prolonged #Lockdown & latest guidelines from Govt of India. Hon’ble CM KCR Garu has convened a cabinet meeting today at 5pm to discuss the same. We will take all suggestions into consideration today.”

According to sources, the state government is likely to announce operation of Road Transport Corporation (RTC) buses in Telangana from Tuesday. However, they would be run only with 50 per cent capacity.

There would be restrictions for the movement of buses in the city. The RTC employees returning to the duties would have to undergo thermal screening compulsorily.

However, no decision had been taken with regard to inter-state buses. A decision from the government is also awaited, for increasing the RTC bus fares.

The government might also announce reopening of haircutting saloons on a staggered basis.

The other commercial establishments also are also most likely to be allowed from Tuesday, sources said.

What did YS Jagan offer JD Laxminarayana to join YCP?

Share

After CBI’s former Joint Director Lakshmi Narayana left Janasena party, his actions are leading to many doubts. Most importantly the reason he specified for leaving the Pawan’s party hasn’t been digested by the Janasainkis as well as their Chief.

Lakshmi Narayana was a sensation when Jagan was in opposition and he played a prominent role in sending the AP Chief Minister to the jail in the disproportionate assets case. Later he resigned his job and wanted to start a new political party but eventually joined Janasena and was given the MP ticket for Vizag parliamentary.

After he lost and left Janasena, JD was seen showering praises on the AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at every possible situation. Recently in a TV channel debate, he backed Jagan’s decisions. He said that Jagan is doing everything that he promised in the manifesto and they always respect each other.

Lakshmi Narayana clarified that he just did his duty as the JD in the past and now is very much impressed with Jagan’s rule and criticized Pawan at the same time that he is a part-time politician. It is clear that Lakshmi Narayana is paving this path towards the ruling party and what could be Jagan’s offer for this former JD to strengthen his party?

Priya Varrier Shuts Insta Account, Is This The Reason?

Share

If anyone could get huge fame across the nation in just one day it is definitely Priya Prakash Varrier we must say. This young Mallu girl has shot to fame with her ‘wink’ video which happens to be a part of her debut film. Though she played only a second lead in the movie, her wink act got her almost 7.2+ million followers on Instagram.

Other day, Priya has shocked everyone by quitting Instagram as she has deactivated her account. Whether she will return to Insta world in the near future is not known, but many are wondering what might have forced her to quit it in the first place. As trolling and vulgar comments are quite common for heroines on Insta, does she failed to stop them affecting her emotionally?

On the day Rishi Kapoor died, Priya has shared a post, which happens to be a snapshot of Rishi’s tweet about ‘wink girl’ and how she could become top heroine soon. That day, the young lady got heavily trolled as people felt that she is making use of even death. Also, some commented that even Rishi is a bad judge because she never became the star many thought she would be.

As this criticism grew bigger, it is being heard that she has quit Instagram, while she is super active on the Facebook page as usual.

Former Malaysian leader Mahathir Mohamad slams government for shortened Parliament meet

Share

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s Parliament held an unusual half-day meeting on Monday that was shortened due to the coronavirus and allowed Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin to avoid a no-confidence vote after more than two months in office.

More than 200 lawmakers, including former leader Mahathir Mohamad, wore masks and sat apart from each other in the hall as they listened to a speech by the king. The sitting was dismissed right after the speech, with all policy discussion and debates shelved until the next session in July.

The government said the shortened session was meant to prevent the spread of the virus as the country emerges from a lockdown, but opposition lawmakers accuse Muhyiddin of being scared to face the no-confidence vote against him that is being sought by Mahathir. “We cannot accept the excuse that we can only meet for two hours because of the pandemic,” Mahathir told a news conference later.

The two-time prime minister said Parliament could have remained sitting since strict health measures were observed, including temperature screening and social distancing. Mahathir said that debates were also crucial as government aid to help the poor cope with the pandemic hasn’t reached target groups.

Malaysia, which has 6,894 cases of virus infection and 113 deaths from COVID-19, recently allowed most businesses to reopen but mass gatherings are still banned.

Mahathir quit as prime minister in late February to protest Muhyiddin’s move to pull their party out of the then-ruling alliance and work with the corrupt-tainted former Malay ruling party that they ousted in May 2018 polls.

The move triggered the alliance’s collapse. Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah said he had appealed to Mahathir to stay but Mahathir refused. The king said he picked Muhyiddin as the new leader after finding Muhyiddin had majority support of lawmakers following a weeklong political crisis.

94-year-old Mahathir has sought to return as premier, contending he has majority support. But his support couldn’t be tested after Muhyiddin prorogued parliament by two months. The king called for national unity in his speech.

“Do not drag the country into another political mess at a time when the people are facing hardship and an uncertain future due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” the king said, adding that focus should be given to the people’s welfare.

Mahathir and leaders in the opposition bloc later issued a statement supporting the king’s call to fight against corruption and abuse of power.

They said prosecutors’ recent decision to drop money laundering charges against Riza Aziz, “Wolf of Wall Street” producer and stepson of ex-Prime Minister Najib Razak, has tarnished Malaysia’s image and gave the perception that it wasn’t serious in fighting graft.

The pandemic has given Muhyiddin a window to consolidate his power. Parties in his government declared plans over the weekend to formalize their loose coalition, partly to thwart talks that their alliance is shaky. Some in the former Malay ruling party, where Najib and several leaders are on trial for corruption, have said their party was not treated fairly in terms of government positions.

YSRCP MP Nandigam Suresh pressmeet from party central office

Share

A few days back AP government anaesthetist doctor Sudhakar made it to the headlines that the government is not providing protective equipment to doctors and staff who are treating Corona virus patients. This created a huge controversy and Dr. Sudhakar was immediately suspended.

Days after this, once again Sudhakar shot to the headlines by creating a ruckus on the roads of Vizag. He was thrashed by the cops in public and this became a huge scene. TDP took the side of Dr. Sudhakar and lashed at YCP government for the harsh handling and party chief Chandrababu Naidu shared a video of Sudhakar’s mother who alleged that her son’s life is in danger.

The ruling party gave a counter to it. Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh disclosed an interesting detail of Dr. Sudhakar that he is a TDP leader and even tried for MLA ticket in the 2019 elections. Chandrababu has denied ticket to Sudhakar then and now he is taking advantage of the situation. MP Suresh said Chandrababu is invoking dalit feeling into this episode which is total disgrace.

The MP also urged the dalit leaders and others not to fall in the trap of Chandrababu Naidu and rethink about being with TDP.

On the contrary even BJP is finding fault with YSRCP’s way of handling Dr. Sudhakar. BJP leaders claimed that Sudhakar is being harassed by the cops on the directions state government and if anything happens to him, the government should take full responsibility.
