Kuchipudi Vaari Veedhi- Hero Being Extra Cautious?

Share

One of the most talented actors in the Telugu industry but now struggling to score a hit is none other than Sharwanand. His recent movies including Padi Padi Lechenu Manasu, Ranarangam and Jaanu have gone for a whitewash at the box office with audiences rejecting them outright.

Right now, Sharwanand is pinning all the hopes on his upcoming movie “Srikaram” which happens to be a story revolving around farmers. However, the hero wants to repair his commercial market through RX100 fame Ajay Bhupathi’s Mahasamudram. In this process, actually he has kept director Srikanth Addala’s “Kuchipudi Vaari Veedhi” on a hold, which he has to do for Geetha Arts.

Reports are coming that Srikanth has recently tweaked the subject a bit and narrated to Sharwa once again, but the hero hasn’t given a go fro the project. Apparently Sharwa wants to see how Addala’s upcoming movie Narappa, which happens to be a remake of Tamil flick Asuran, does at the box office. After watching the result of that film, he will take a call on Kuchipudi Vaari Veedhi.

One can understand the fact that Sharwa is being extra-cautious and we have to see what Srikanth Addala does now. Except for a couple of weeks shoot, Narappa featuring Venkatesh, Priyamani in the leads is almost complete.

Forget the Word ‘Lockdown Ends’?

While the people are anxious to know of the outcome of the PM meeting with CMs on lockdown, it is learnt that the central government is not contemplating to lift the lockdown but only easing the restrictions.

According to sources, lockdown will continue at least in a subdued form till schools and cinemas are opened. Since the lockdown was announced on March 24, schools, malls, cinemas and religious places of worship have remained shut fearing the spread of coronavirus.

The governments, sources said, will only relax the norms and make minor changes in the timings but lockdown is likely to stay as the higher officials feel there should be some curbs to check people from flocking on to the roads. As India is a densely populated country, medical experts fear that there would be a catastrophe if people were left unchecked on roads.

Even public transport has been suspended since the lockdown has come into force.

Now, lockdown does not mean shutting down businesses like in the last few days. Almost 90 per cent of the activities are likely to resume after May 17 but with a rider of mandatory measures like wearing masks, keeping sanitisers available for the customers and observing physical distancing.

Even in red zones, business activities will resume with some restrictions.

Shilpa Shetty: Managing two kids an uphill taskt.

Amid the lockdown, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra is glad that she is getting to spend time with her children, but says keeping her kids entertained through the day is an uphill task.

“Owing to my erratic working hours, I am grateful that the lockdown has given me more time to spend with my family, especially my kids, so I can’t complain,” Shilpa said.

“But, I do agree that sometimes it is an uphill task to manage two kids and keep my seven-year-old entertained through the day, for days on end considering we are very strict on screen time being on weekends only,” added the actress, who has a son Viaan and daughter Samisha.

Most Bollywood moms would agree with Shilpa. Genelia Deshmukh said: “Being a mum is exhausting sometimes, and even more so in the current situation.”

Added Soha Ali Khan: “When one has super active kids, there aren’t many opportunities for moms to be able to relax in the day.”

She added OTT platforms as Disney+ Hotstar had an array of content for children.

KCR urges PM not to restart train services

Share

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to allow resumption of train services to contain the spread of coronavirus.

He made the request during the video conference the Prime Minister had with the Chief Ministers of all the states.

He said the movement of people through trains would make the task of monitoring the Covid-19 situation difficult and this may lead to spread of virus from one place to the other.

KCR, as the Chief Minister is popularly known, told Modi that since conducting tests on all those travelling through trains or keeping them in quarantine is not possible, trains should not be operated at this stage.

Pointing out that several major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad have a large number of Covid-19 cases, he said if trains were operated between these cities, there would be a big movement of people from one place to the other and it would not be possible to keep track of them.

KCR told the PM that since the chances of an early end to Covid-19 appear remote, the people will have to be taught to live with it. “First of all we have to remove fear from them and make them learn to live with coronavirus,” he said.

The Chief Minister said the efforts were being made to prepare a vaccine for coronavirus and hoped that the first vaccine will come from India. “Companies in Hyderabad are also working hard. There are chances of first vaccine being developed in Hyderabad. It is likely to be available in July-August. The situation will change with the availability of the vaccine,” he said.

On the issue of migrant workers, KCR said all states should show empathy. He said the migrant workers were desperate to go home to meet their family members and hence, they should be allowed to visit them.

Hailing the decision to operate Shramik trains, KCR said Telangana was sending the migrant workers who want to go home. He pointed out that workers from Bihar were returning to Telangana to work in rice mills.

KCR reiterated the demand that the loans of the states be rescheduled on the lines of reschedulement of the loans of farmers. He urged the Centre to take initiative in this regard.

Jagan wants KCR to send AP returnees from abroad

Telangana government’s move to confine people belonging to Andhra Pradesh, who are returning from foreign countries, in quarantine centres in Hyderabad, has not been taken kindly by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government in the neighbouring state.

For the last two days, several Telugu people have been returning from foreign countries – 163 from Kuwait on Sunday and another 120 passengers from the US on Tuesday. Many of these passengers belong to Andhra Pradesh.

Since there are no direct international flights to Andhra Pradesh airports, these foreign returnees from Andhra are getting down in Hyderabad and are being shifted to paid quarantine centres for 14 days.

These passengers will have to pay a charge ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000 towards quarantine charges for 14 days depending on whether they are put up in normal dormitories or two-star hotels or five-star hotels. Besides, they have to bear expenses for their own food and drinking water.

The Andhra passengers are desperate to go to their respective places and brought it to the notice of the Jagan government.

It is learnt the AP chief minister has written to Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao requesting that they are all sent back to AP.

However, there is no response from the Telangana government which does not want the foreign returnees to leave the state till quarantine period is over.

Apparently, the Telangana officials reminded that the AP government had not allowed its own people to cross the border even when the Telangana police gave them permission.

It is learnt Jagan also wrote to the Centre to intervene and send AP people held up in Hyderabad to be sent to his state.

Otherwise, the Centre should ensure that the flights be continued up to Vijayawada or Visakhapatnam or Tirupati to allow AP passengers to get down there, instead of in Hyderabad.

Jagan Getting Ready To Shift To Vizag?

If the speculations doing rounds in the media circles are to be believed, YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to shift his office from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam in the last week of May.

According to these speculations, a muhurtham has been fixed at 8.30 am on May 28 to commence the operation of Chief Minister’s camp office in Visakhapatnam, as per the suggestions of Visakha Sarada Peetham seer Swamy Swaroopanandendra Saraswati.

The CM’s camp office, however, will not be located at Millennium Towers but in the newly-built premises of Grey Hounds Compound near Vignan College.

It is learnt, furniture required for the CMO has already been transported to Visakhapatnam in 20 lorries.

By deciding to operate from the port city, the chief minister apparently wants to instil confidence among the people of Visakhapatnam after the recent gas leakage incident near R R Venkatapuram village.

“He wants to send a message that Visakhapatnam is a safe and secure city and such accidents does not affect the brand image of the city. If the chief minister himself decides to shift to Visakhapatnam it will enhance the confidence of the people and gradually, the entire administration will also shift to the city in a phased manner,” a senior journalist from Visakhapatnam said.

However, it is not sure whether it is going to be only a camp office for CM or he will permanently shift to Visakhapatnam.

Since the state is yet to get out of the Coronavirus impact, there is a doubt as to whether the state government would take the risk of shifting the entire secretariat and other state administration to the port city.

Mumbai police detains Poonam Pandey for flouting covid-19 rules

Mumbai police booked a case against model-cum-actress Poonam Pandey for violating the Covid-19-norms amid third phase of lockdown, an official said. An FIR was filed against the actress and her boyfriend accompanying her by the Marine Drive Police.

People are only allowed to go in vehicles until and unless it’s an emergency situation. As per the report, she was found wandering on roads in a swanky car at Marine Drive, Mumbai, without any valid reason.

The report further stated that she was later arrested for dishonouring and flouting lockdown rules on Sunday. Mumbai Police detained her and confiscated the vehicle for violating the ongoing nationwide COVID-19 lockdown, which is supposedly till May 17.

“We registered a case against Poonam and Sam Ahmad Bombay (46) under sections 269 (Negligent act likely to spread infection of a disease posing threat to life) and 188 (Disobedience of order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under provisions of the National Disaster Act,” senior police inspector Mrityunjay Hiremath reported.

Earlier Poonam Pandey has had various altercations with the law for getting entrapped in some or the other controversy. Earlier this year in February, she was in the news for registering a case against Shilpa Shetty’s better half, Raj Kundra, and his partners for damaging the provision of their understanding and utilizing content featured on her application significantly after their agreement had ended.

Corona Should Not Reach Rural India: PM Modi to CMs

Share

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s video conference with Chief Ministers of the all the states is underway. In this meeting, Modi is discussing about the lockdown that is going to end on May 17th. Over the last week or so, there is a huge spike in Corona cases in the country and in this view, Modi is chalking out a plan. Accordingly he held this conference with CMs.

In this conference, Modi is said to have informed the CMs to take all the measures to restrict Corona virus from spreading to the rural parts i.e, villages where the population is more than the tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

On the migrant workers walking towards to their places, Modi reportedly said “It is Human nature to go back to their places and there is nothing wrong in it.” However, there is lack of coordination between the Railways and the states and so many migrant workers are getting stranded at cities. For them the Railways has changed the plan too.

In this conference Modi appreciated the CMs for their efforts in containing the virus but added that still there is a lot to be done.
