Mallareddy Slams Rumours, Says “Staying with BRS”

Chamakura Mallareddy, MLA of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and former minister, has firmly dismissed rumours of switching sides to the Indian National Congress, making it clear that he will continue with the BRS.
In recent days, political circles in Telangana were rife with speculation that Mallareddy might join the Congress to secure his family’s political future. There were also reports suggesting that his family members had initiated talks with Congress leaders regarding a possible shift.
However, addressing the media on the opening day of the Assembly session, Mallareddy rubbished these claims, calling them baseless rumours. The 73-year-old leader asserted that he is fully capable of deciding his political path and described the reports as false propaganda.
Taking a dig at the Congress, he remarked that no one would board a “sinking ship,” labeling the party as a “sinking boat” despite its long years in power. He added that it is evident which party currently enjoys stronggrassroots support in the state.
Mallareddy also clarified his recent meeting with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, stating that it was purely personal. He said he had invited the CM to attend his wedding anniversary celebrations.
Meanwhile, his daughter-in-law Preethi Reddy has been drawing attention with her growing public and political activity. She recently suggested renaming Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar—a demand often raised by leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Preethi Reddy has also been active in the Medchal constituency and has praised several initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including the National Education Policy, economic reforms, and women empowerment programs. Her meeting with Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar earlier had already sparked political discussions.
She has openly expressed interest in entering active politics and contesting a Lok Sabha seat, further fueling speculation about the Mallareddy family’s future political moves.
Ram Charan’s Peddi to Feature Massive Special Song

Excitement surrounding Peddi, starring Ram Charan, continues to build as fresh updates about a special song from the film are making rounds in industry circles. According to reports, director Buchi Babu Sana is planning a massive rural-style mass number that could feature multiple heroines.
Sources suggest that the director is keen on bringing in three to four actresses for the special track. The idea is to create a grand, high-energy song designed especially to excite Mega fans. With Ram Charan known for his dynamic dance performances, a rustic mass number similar in spirit to Jigelu Rani could turn out to be one of the major highlights of the film.
Earlier speculation indicated that actresses like Pooja Hegde, Mrunal Thakur, and Ayesha Khan were being considered for the song. However, insiders now say the final casting will depend largely on the actresses’ availability and shooting schedules.
If everything falls into place, the track may feature multiple glamorous appearances alongside Charan’s energetic dance moves, making it a major crowd-puller. At the same time, sources reveal that if coordinating several actresses becomes difficult, Buchi Babu might opt for a single prominent heroine to avoid delays in the filming schedule. Either way, fans are eagerly waiting to see how this high-voltage mass number shapes up on the big screen.
Kiran Abbavaram to Make Directorial Debut

Young actor Kiran Abbavaram is reportedly preparing to take a major step in his career. In an interesting development, the actor is set to make his directorial debut with an upcoming film in which he will also play the lead role. The project will be produced by Sudhakar Chaganti under the banner of Joy Films, while popular music composer Bheems Ceciroleo has been brought on board to score the soundtrack.
Over the past few films, Kiran Abbavaram has managed to score decent successes and gradually build a recognizable image among audiences. With this growing momentum, his decision to step into direction has sparked discussions within the film industry.
Many observers believe it is a bold move, especially in today’s highly competitive film environment where even established directors often struggle to deliver consistent hits. Some trade analysts feel that taking on the dual responsibilities of acting and directing at this stage could be risky.
However, there are also examples of actors successfully taking charge behind the camera early in their careers. Vishwak Sen directed and starred in Falaknuma Das, which connected strongly with the youth and performed well commercially. Similarly, Adivi Sesh played a crucial creative role in shaping the thriller Kshanam, which went on to become a major success. In other industries too, actors like Rishab Shetty proved their vision with films such as Kantara.
While some believe this move carries a certain level of risk, others feel Kiran Abbavaram may have a strong plan behind the decision. Whether this bold step turns into a successful milestone or a challenging gamble will become clear once the project takes shape.
S. S. Rajamouli’s IMAX Dream for Hyderabad Sparks Buzz

During recent international promotional interviews for the film Varanasi, acclaimed director S. S. Rajamouli made an interesting remark in a lighter vein. He joked that he might stage a protest in front of the IMAX office in Los Angeles, demanding that the company install the world’s largest IMAX screens in Indian cities. Rajamouli also emphasized that audiences love watching grand films on massive screens for the ultimate cinematic experience.
Recently, Preetha Daniel, Vice President of IMAX India, posted a picture of Hyderabad on X with the caption, “Love this city and the food.” Interestingly, he had earlier tweeted about Varanasi as well and even pinned the post for a while.
These developments have now sparked speculation on social media about whether IMAX might be planning something big in Hyderabad—possibly even setting up one of the world’s largest IMAX screens in the city, which would align with Rajamouli’s wish.
The buzz has grown stronger especially after Allu Cinemas grabbed headlines for launching Asia’s largest Dolby screen in Hyderabad. The latest post from the IMAX executive has fueled hopes that the global cinema giant might also be considering a major project in the city.
For now, it remains speculation, and it will be interesting to see if Hyderabad eventually gets one of the world’s largest IMAX screens.
