తనకెందుకు తెలుగు సినిమాలు చేయడం ఇష్టం లేకపోయిందన్నదానిపై కమలినీ ఇలా వివరించింది, “సినిమాల్లో కొన్ని సీన్స్ డైరెక్టర్ చెప్పిన విధంగా చేస్తారు, కానీ ఎడిటింగ్లో అది తీసేస్తారు. కానీ నటులకు ఆ విషయం తెలియజేయరు. మన సీన్ లేదా డైలాగ్ తీసేయబడితే ఎంత బాధతో ఉంటామో అనుభవించే వాళ్లకే తెలుస్తుంది. దీన్ని నేను సులభంగా ఎదుర్కోలేకపోయాను. అందుకే తెలుగు సినిమాల నుంచి దూరమై, ఇతర భాషల్లో సినిమాలు చేయడం ప్రారంభించాను.”
