Pawan Kalyan Makes Sensational Remarks at ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ Pre Release Event
Michael B. Jordan’s Academy Awards Win Sparks Debate

The winners of the prestigious Academy Awards for 2026 were announced recently, and one of the most talked-about moments from the ceremony is the Best Actor award going to Michael B. Jordan. His victory has sparked an interesting debate among film enthusiasts and industry observers.
Before the awards ceremony, Timothée Chalamet was widely considered the frontrunner for the Best Actor honor. Reports suggested he had around a 43 percent chance of winning, while the other nominees, including Michael B. Jordan, were seen as having much lower odds.
However, discussions around the award took a different turn after an unfortunate incident at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) held earlier. During the event, Michael B. Jordan was on stage when a member of the audience, reportedly suffering from Tourette syndrome, shouted a racial slur. The incident quickly sparked controversy and backlash, prompting the BAFTA organizers to issue a public apology.
Following the incident, the controversy grew across cultural and racial discussions, and some observers believe the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences may have felt pressure to respond in some way. A section of commentators now speculate that the Academy might have been influenced by the earlier controversy when finalizing the Best Actor decision, suggesting that the award to Michael B. Jordan could have been a form of indirect acknowledgment after the BAFTA incident.
At the same time, many others strongly disagree with this theory. They argue that Michael B. Jordan is one of the most talented actors of his generation and that his recognition is purely based on merit. Supporters point to his powerful performance in Sinners, along with his consistently strong body of work over the years, as clear reasons why he deserved the honor.
While the debate continues, Michael B. Jordan’s Oscar win has undoubtedly become one of the most discussed moments of the 2026 awards season.
Drishyam 3 Release Date Triggers Debate in Kerala

The much-anticipated sequel Drishyam 3 has once again become a topic of discussion, this time because of its planned release date. The film stars Mohanlal and Meena and is currently scheduled to arrive in theatres on April 2. However, the timing of the release has sparked fresh debates within trade circles.
The main reason behind the discussion is the upcoming elections in Kerala, which are scheduled to take place on April 9. With election campaigns expected to intensify during the first week of April, industry insiders believe the strong political atmosphere could impact the film’s promotions and theatrical performance.
Drishyam 3 is one of the most eagerly awaited films in Malayalam cinema, as it continues the gripping story of Georgekutty from the hugely successful franchise. Ever since the earlier installments created a sensation, fans have been curious to see how the story progresses in the third part and what new twists the makers have planned.
However, releasing the film just a week before the elections might divide public attention, with political campaigns and media coverage dominating the state during that period. Because of this, some trade analysts feel the makers might consider postponing the release to avoid the election buzz and ensure better box office prospects.
Whether the producers will stick to the announced date or opt for a new release window remains to be seen. Meanwhile, there are also discussions about a Telugu adaptation of the film, which is yet to go on floors.
Ram Gopal Varma Plans Comeback With Sarkar 4

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma was once regarded as a trendsetter in Bollywood, especially during the early 1990s when his films created a strong impact among audiences. Known for his unique storytelling and gripping narratives, he delivered several memorable films. One of his most notable works during his peak phase was the political crime thriller Sarkar starring Amitabh Bachchan.
While the first film in the franchise received critical acclaim and strong box office success, the later installments failed to replicate the same magic. Despite the underwhelming response to the sequels, Ram Gopal Varma appears determined to revive the franchise once again with Sarkar 4.
According to the latest reports, the shooting of Sarkar 4 is expected to begin on April 25. The fourth installment will reportedly bring back the iconic father–son duo of Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. The previous film in the series, Sarkar 3, was released in 2017 but failed to meet expectations at the box office.
Sources suggest that Sarkar 4 will not directly continue the storyline of the earlier films. Instead, it will present a completely new narrative set in a different backdrop, while retaining the core characters. The Sarkar franchise has always attracted attention for its intense storytelling, powerful performances, and Ram Gopal Varma’s signature screenplay style. The first film, released in 2005, stood out for its gripping narrative and strong performances from the lead cast, which eventually led to the expansion of the franchise.
However, the subsequent sequels struggled to impress audiences and critics alike. After the disappointing response to Sarkar 3, many believed the franchise had come to an end, especially as Ram Gopal Varma faced a series of box office setbacks in recent years.
Despite this, the filmmaker now seems determined to stage a comeback in Bollywood with Sarkar 4. It remains to be seen whether he can rediscover his earlier form and deliver a successful film that revives the iconic franchise.
Pawan Kalyan: I Will Continue Doing Films – Ustaad Bhagat Singh Event

The team of Ustaad Bhagat Singh held a grand pre-release event ahead of the film’s theatrical release on March 19, coinciding with the festive occasion of Ugadi. The event witnessed a massive turnout of fans, reflecting the huge anticipation surrounding the film starring Pawan Kalyan and directed by Harish Shankar.
Producer Yalamanchili Naveen (Mythri Naveen) shared his excitement about producing a film with Pawan Kalyan. He said that working with the Power Star had always been a dream for their banner, and that dream would come true on March 19. Naveen revealed that Pawan Kalyan worked continuously for around 40 days to wrap up the shoot and gave uninterrupted dates for nearly three months to complete the film. He also added that when they decided to collaborate with Pawan Kalyan, Harish Shankar was their immediate choice as director, expressing confidence that the film could surpass the success of Gabbar Singh.
Another producer from Mythri Movie Makers, Y. Ravi Shankar, thanked Pawan Kalyan for making Ustaad Bhagat Singh a memorable project for their banner. He also appreciated Harish Shankar’s dedication and efforts to recreate the magic of Gabbar Singh.
Director Harish Shankar revealed that he was responsible for both the delay and the eventual scheduling of the film. He shared that the initial concept of the movie was somewhat inspired by the tone of Kushi, revolving around two individuals who fall apart as students due to ego and later meet again as lecturers in the same college. However, he felt the story lacked strong heroism and was limited to lighthearted fun, which led him to completely rethink the script.
Harish Shankar said this Ugadi would be remembered as “Ustaad Ugadi.” He also shared an emotional moment from his career, recalling how Pawan Kalyan approached him during a difficult phase and offered to collaborate on a film. According to him, the actor poured his heart and soul into the project.
The director also praised the performances of the supporting cast, highlighting the powerful screen presence of R. Parthiban and the impactful role played by K. S. Ravikumar. He also lauded the energetic performance of Sreeleela and the graceful contribution of Raashii Khanna.
Speaking at the event, Pawan Kalyan reaffirmed his deep connection with cinema and made it clear that he will continue doing films despite his active role in politics. He said cinema gave him the identity that allows him to serve people and expressed his desire for producers associated with his films to always be successful.
He also explained that the film went through several changes during its journey, including script modifications, the COVID period, and his increasing political commitments. Despite these challenges, the team managed to complete a major portion of the film in about 45 days. Pawan Kalyan credited Harish Shankar for giving him the confidence that, with proper planning, he can continue balancing films alongside his other responsibilities.
He also praised Mythri Movie Makers for their hard work and successful track record. Pawan highlighted the energetic music composed by Devi Sri Prasad and mentioned that S. Thaman has delivered a powerful background score for the film.
Pawan Kalyan also had special words for the film’s female leads. He described Sreeleela as a brilliant performer and dancer, adding that her character has been written in a memorable way. He also revealed that Raashii Khanna agreed to do the film without even listening to the story, purely out of respect for him, and delivered an excellent performance.
Sharwanand’s Biker Promises Thrill and Emotion

Sharwanand’s upcoming film Biker is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious projects of his career. The actor has reportedly gone all out for the role, undergoing a complete physical transformation and taking intensive training to convincingly portray a professional motorcycle racer.
Music composer M. Ghibran, who has composed the soundtrack for the film, believes that Biker will mark a strong comeback for him in Telugu cinema. Reflecting on his association with Sharwanand, Ghibran said he was happy to collaborate with the actor again after their earlier film Run Raja Run. According to him, the project holds special significance and could bring him the breakthrough he has been hoping for.
Racing-based films are relatively rare in Indian cinema, and Ghibran praised the scale and vision behind the project. He revealed that director Abhilash Reddy envisioned the film with a Hollywood-style approach right from the beginning. While the film features high-octane racing and action, it also carries a strong emotional core centered on a father–son relationship.
Ghibran added that the racing sequences are designed to keep audiences on the edge of their seats, even for viewers who may not be familiar with motorcycle racing. At the same time, the emotional storyline is expected to resonate with family audiences, creating a balanced mix of thrill and drama.
The composer also highlighted Sharwanand’s performance, saying that while working on the background score he felt the actor had showcased an entirely new side of his talent. He believes the film will bring significant appreciation for Sharwanand from both critics and audiences.

No Release Date Yet for Swayambhu – Can Nikhil Build the Buzz?

Nikhil Siddhartha has started promoting his upcoming pan-Indian film Swayambhu. However, the makers are yet to officially announce the release date. According to industry buzz, the team is considering April 17 as a potential release date, but there has been no formal confirmation so far. As a result, the promotions are currently progressing at a slow pace, and the film has not generated much hype yet.
If Nikhil aims to make a strong impact at the pan-Indian level and deliver a success bigger than Karthikeya 2, the first and most important step would be to lock and officially announce the release date. In today’s competitive market, fixing a release date well in advance and building awareness around it has become crucial for creating anticipation among audiences.
For example, Nani’s upcoming film The Paradise was initially planned for a March release but was later postponed to August. However, the team quickly announced August 21 as the new release date, giving the audience a clear timeline. Similarly, Peddi and Toxic were also moved from March but promptly revealed their revised release dates as April 30 and June 4 respectively.
In contrast, the team behind Swayambhu is currently promoting the film only as a “summer release” without specifying an exact date. This strategy may not be effective in building strong momentum or excitement around the project.
Moreover, Nikhil’s recent films have not performed particularly well at the box office. With two pan-Indian projects currently in his lineup, careful planning and a stronger promotional strategy will be essential to generate the kind of buzz required for a big pan-Indian release.
