Anushka Shetty Returns with Ghaati, Skips Promotions

After a long hiatus, Anushka Shetty is making a highly anticipated return to the big screen with her upcoming film Ghaati. The movie, a collaboration between UV Creations and First Frame Entertainments, is set to release in theaters on September 5, 2025.
Producer Rajeev Reddy confirmed that Anushka will not be taking part in any promotional activities for the film. “From the beginning, Anushka was clear about her decision not to attend promotions during the release period. She may even skip the pre-release event, and that’s perfectly fine. Only an actress of Anushka Shetty’s stature could portray Sheela in Ghaati—it’s hard to imagine anyone else in that role,” Reddy stated.
Reddy also emphasized Anushka’s immense star power, which he believes will naturally draw audiences to theaters. “We filmed in a small village on the Andhra-Odisha border, and even in the early morning, around 1,000 people gathered just to catch a glimpse of Anushka. There was even a minor police charge incident—that’s the kind of fan following she commands,” he added.
Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, Ghaati revolves around a gripping Ganja smuggling storyline and features Kollywood actor Vikram Prabhu in a pivotal role. With Anushka Shetty back in action, the film is already generating significant buzz among fans and moviegoers alike.
Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom Arrives on Netflix with Edited Scenes

Vijay Deverakonda’s highly anticipated film Kingdom hit theaters on July 28 but fell short of audience expectations at the box office. Now, the film is available for digital streaming on Netflix, generating excitement among Deverakonda’s fans and a wider OTT audience.
However, the digital version comes with notable changes, including the removal of the popular song Hridayam Lopala and a carnival fight sequence, sparking disappointment among viewers who had seen the theatrical release and were hoping for the full experience.
The film features Malayalam actor Venkitesh VP as the antagonist, alongside Satyadev Kancharana, Rohini, Bhoomi Shetty, Ayyappa P. Sharma, Goparaju Ramana, and several others in pivotal roles. The music is composed by Anirudh, adding a vibrant layer to the film’s soundtrack. Director Gowtam Tinnanuri reportedly made the call to cut Hridayam Lopala and a scene featuring Deverakonda and Bhagyashri Borse from the digital release.
Despite its theatrical performance, Kingdom remains a topic of discussion, with fans now turning to Netflix to catch the film, albeit in a slightly edited version.

Revanth Reddy Gains Prominence in Congress Bihar Campaign

For some time, there were rumors suggesting that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress leadership were not entirely pleased with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. However, these claims were dispelled during Rahul Gandhi’s recent campaign in Bihar.
Revanth Reddy actively joined Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi for the election campaign, and what stood out was the special respect and prominence he received from the Congress top leadership.
He was invited to share the same campaign vehicle with Rahul and Priyanka as they addressed and greeted large crowds of Congress supporters. Political analysts noted that this gesture clearly highlighted Revanth Reddy’s importance and standing within the Congress party.
Regardless of differing personal opinions about him, it is evident that Revanth Reddy is a mass leader. Congress appears eager to leverage his popularity by involving him in major campaigns, reinforcing his role as a key figure within the party.
Kajol on Season 2 of The Trial: Strength, Family, and Justice

Kajol is back with The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha Season 2, promising higher stakes, fiercer battles, and a relentless fight for truth and justice. At the trailer launch event, Kajol shared insights about her character Noyonika Sengupta and her journey in the series.
When asked about Season 2, Kajol said, “The season is very engaging. It explores the strength a woman needs in real life — making tough decisions for her children and family. Different facets of Noyonika will be showcased — a skilled lawyer, a devoted mother, and a loving wife.”
On choosing justice over love, she added, “It depends on the situation. In real life, sometimes being kind outweighs the pursuit of justice.”
Kajol also praised her co-star Kubra, stating, “Kubra handles criticism and negativity off-screen with such positivity that it transforms into something constructive.”
Speaking on the challenges strong women face at home, Kajol explained, “While it’s ideal to be strong everywhere, real-life situations involving children, finances, and societal pressures often require careful decision-making. Sometimes taking time to make the right choice is perceived as weakness, but it’s about balancing multiple factors.”
On personal relationships, she noted, “Small things matter a lot when meeting someone for the first time — they often determine whether a relationship can progress.”
Reflecting on her journey from leading lady to powerful character roles, Kajol said, “Noyonika is easy to connect with, and many women understand the conscious decisions she makes. I take inspiration from those who manage family and professional responsibilities with grace.”
On balancing motherhood with portraying strong women on screen, Kajol shared, “I don’t overthink it. Society often views married women and mothers differently, which influences the scripts offered. My children are the best part of my life, and they shape how people perceive me.”
