Malayali actress Anupama Parameswaran has made a remarkable connection with Telugu audiences over the years. Recently, she returned to the spotlight with her female-centric film Paradha. “Even if commercial films have a thousand flaws, they go unnoticed. But experimental films like Paradha are scrutinized in every aspect. People criticize because it’s a female-led film and have preconceived notions of how it should be. That’s okay, I don’t mind. But at least acknowledging such films and appreciating the effort behind new experiments would be enough.”

Despite Paradha completing its shoot a year ago and facing multiple hurdles, it finally cleared the release line and premiered in theaters on August 22.
