Nara Rohith Not Interested in Acting Career?

Share

Nara Rohith has put on weight again. He is totally out of shape to be a hero. Grapevine has it that after the debacle of TDP in the recent elections, funding to Nara Rohith’s has shrunk. Hence, he is not showing interest to take new movies to the sets.

Some of his earlier announced projects are shelved.

He may return to acting next year. But again, he needs solid funding for his movies. All his recent movies were disasters at the ticket window. His movies also don’t get great prices from digital and satellite rights.

While Nara Rohit is lagging behind, his friend Sree Vishnu has established himself as a bankable star. It is Rohit who pushed Sree Vishnu in his early stage. Now fortunes have changed.

This is the reason why Nara Rohith is not taking care of his looks. He has become bindaas in his attitude with little worry about films.

Infosys eyes Rs 1,100 cr cost-saving by hiring freshers

Share

New Delhi: Infosys, which has been in the news for last few days for whistleblower complaint against management and layoffs in the mid and senior level, has told analysts that the company aims to hire more freshers to save cost and improve margins.

Infosys said hiring more freshers will result in $100-$150 million or nearly Rs 1,100 crore cost-saving in the current financial year and will help the company in improving its operating margins, which has fallen under CEO Salil Parekh, as it boosted investments to drive growth.

The company is now focusing on improving its profit margin by saving cost, since a major chunk of its investments has been completed.

“There are 21 tracks we are looking at for cost-optimisation. We are targeting $100-$150 million in cost savings as the year goes on,” a leading business daily quoted Infy CFO Nilanjan Roy as saying on Wednesday.

Roy said the firm was focused on improving the bottom-end of its pyramid, which had become more barrel-shaped, by hiring freshers. It was also looking to recreate the pyramid onsite through fresher hiring, he added.

Last year, Infosys hired 1,700 freshers in the US and Europe. Roy said the company would move to an asset-lite model for new infrastructure.

Analysts said the cost optimisation plan was a routine move aimed at reducing wage costs by hiring more freshers. “Cost optimisation happens every year through one or other measures. It is not that such a saving is new. They have used wage rationalisation by hiring freshers in the past. But it is good that the company has quantified it this time and that gives a little bit of comfort in profitability,” a senior IT sector analyst with a brokerage firm told the publication.

The company, however, said it had no plans for layoffs. “There is no planned layoff. We have performance reviews and people who are not performing are asked to leave. This is normal, there is no targeted layoff,” chief operating officer UB Pravin Rao said.

On October 11, Rao told analysts that the attrition in the second quarter for tech services — both voluntary and involuntary — was about 19.4%. “If you look at voluntary alone it is about 18%,” he said.

As of 10:40 am, Infosys shares traded 0.42% higher at Rs 715.30 apiece compared to its previous closing price of Rs 712.30. Including today’s gains, Infy shares have rallied over 8% in one week after the company clarified that the whistleblower complaint against the management is baseless and has no substance.

Tollywood: Death Of Stories Or Pure Laziness?

Share

When films like Baahubali, Rangasthalam, Srimanthudu, C/o Kancharapalem came out, many thought that Tollywood has emerged when it comes to storytelling. But there is another side as well. If their film is good, Telugu makers will take it to Bollywood and if the films from other language are good, they will remake it in Telugu.

Very recently we have seen Varun Tej’s Gaddalakonda Ganesh, a remake of Tamil film Jigarthanda. Similarly, we have Sai Bellamkonda’s Rakshasudu, and Ohmkar’s RGG3, remakes of super hit Tamil movies like Ratsasan and Dilluku Diddu, while Allu Sirish came up with Malayalam film ABCD remake. This is just a beginning of the remake haul our makers actually kick-started in Tollywood in the present times.

Already we have Megastar Chiranjeevi buying the rights of superhit Malayalam film Lucifer and then Venkatesh announced that he is remaking Asuran in Telugu while Pawan Kalyan might soon give the proper nod for Pink remake as well. Then comes Sharwanand and Samantha’s 96, a remake of Tamil film with the same name. Also, young hero Ram is remaking Tamil movie Thadam as Red in Telugu. We have Adivi Sesh lining up another thriller, remake of a foreign movie, like usual.

Some say that the Telugu industry folks are too lazy to create some new stories, and some argue that there is a huge death of new stories hence this borrowing from other languages. Whatever it may be, remake makes job easy to a bit as the film is already made, and it has a successful story. But then, they won’t bring us name and fame like original films with original stories.

Pics: Pranitha Looks Hot In Acroyoga Pose

Share

Beautiful Pranitha Subhash posted a new photo on her Instagram practising acro yoga. A combination of yoga and acrobatics, Pranitha is seen being lifted up by her girl partner. The actress wore shorts and baby pink sports bra, looking as fit as a fiddle.

Pranitha captioned the inspirational picture as – ‘More important than strength, mobility or flexibility in #acroyoga is the trust . Trust in ur partner.. where you just give all the weight, all the control into their hands (and feet)’. Acroyoga itself is not completely about achieving fitness but also to learn trust. And Pranitha along with her partner is doing wonderfully.

In spite of blessed genes, Pranitha works hard to keep her body shape much toner and prettier. Pranitha is seen supporting herself for balance and her partner lifted her up showing amazing flexibility and strength. The pose that these two adorable ladies did is called high-flying whale and is actually a beginner’s pose. And, with this new technique, Pranitha surely gave us some fitness goals.

#TSRTC: KCR vital decision tomorrow?

Share

Telangana CM KCR’s deadline on TSRTC strike has concluded and in a major embarrassment to the TRS government, just over 350 employees have joined back the work. But KCR did not take any decision as he waiting for Telangana High Court’s words.

The cases pro and against TSRTC strike will come for hearing on Thursday. The TRS sarkar will submit a detailed report of the debts, the government owes to the RTC and based on this report, the court is expected to make key statements. KCR will take the court’s remarks into consideration and is likely to a final call on the RTC future.

From the Pragathi Bhavan sources we hear that KCR would announce privatization of the rest of the 5000 routes and that would be the end of RTC in the state.

The RTC JAC too is looking at the High court and they are hopeful that the court’s directives would be on their side and state government has to come down at any cost for talks of their demands. But if KCR announces private operators in 5000 routes, RTC JAC may agitate like a fireball.

So TSRTC’s fate and future depends upon the happenings of today and tomorrow!

Pic Talk: Bunny, Trivikram & Co Selfie From Paris

Share

Today it happens to be the birthday of writer-director Trivikram and the team of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is celebrating the same in Paris, France, where they are actually shooting for a couple of scenes and songs.

Music director Thaman took to Twitter today to share this much awaited selfie from the sets of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo where we could see Navdeep clicking the shot, along with with Rahul Ramakrishna, heroine Pooja Hegde, editor Naveen Nooli, Thaman present.

While Bunny dazzled in a designer avatar as usual, Trivikram’s wife made the selfie more chivalrous as she lays a hand on her husband’s shoulder when he is cutting the cake. Surely this will be one of those prized selfies we have seen as the whole of the film’s major crew are having a blast in Paris right now.

At places like Paris and Normandy, France, the unit of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is getting ready to shoot some crucial sequences for the film. After wrapping them, they will be shooting a couple of songs there itself. Recently Allu Arjun is seen shopping in Paris for the outfits he’s gonna wear in the movie.

#BiggBoss Winner Missed Ramuloo Ramulaa

Share

#BiggBoss3 winner Rahul Sipligunj is pretty excited that he has done the unthinkable, as he never expected to walk away with the winner’s crown of the Season 3 of Telugu reality show. But then, the Telangana based singer is said to have missed out a major hit song in this due process.

In fact, Thaman’s first choice for Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’s super hit Ramuloo Ramulaa song is none other than Rahul Sipligunj as the song needs proper Telangana slang and diction from the singer. However, the composer has waited for a long time to see that Rahul might get eliminated and he might sing it. As Rahul was not coming out of the house, Thaman opted for Anurag Kulkarni.

As Rahul had sung many such Telangana slang songs earlier, surely this would have been the best of them all. Even Thaman might have not expected that Ramuloo Ramulaa would become such smashing hit that they will be celebrating it for a long time.

On the other hand, people from the music industry say, ‘Even if Rahul has sung the song, he will get hardly 50K for that. But today he has won 50 lakhs, so there will be no regrets of missing out Ramuloo Ramulaa for him’.

Allu Arjun Puts A Deadline For Trivikram’s AVPL

Share

Allu Arjun is elated with the response for Ala Vaikuntapuramulo songs. It was his idea to launch the songs so early and it has paid off big time.

Allu Arjun is making swift decisions regarding his next movies. His next is a period action drama directed by Sukumar.

Allu will join the shoot from December and before that he would be growing thick beard. Hence, Allu Arjun has to wrap up the filming of Ala Vaikuntapuramulo by the end of this month.

He has intimated Trivikram about the same. AVPL shoot should be wrapped up by November end and the promotions will continue until the release of the film.

But Bunny will be completely occupied with Sukumar’s film in December. This film is likely to be released in July or August next year.

Therefore, the Stylish Star cannot afford to spend extra time on AVPL.

Wanted a director for Venkatesh

Share

Venkatesh has agreed to reprise the role that Dhanush did in his recent super hit Tamil movie.

More popular as ‘Remake Raja’, Venkatesh immediately gave his affirmation to Dhanush starrer ‘Asuran’. Venkatesh always feels comfortable acting in Tamil hit movies.

But he is finding it tough to select the right director to remake this movie in Telugu. The Tamil film is about class parity in society and this serious subject is not an easy task to handle.

Regular commercial filmmakers cannot get the soul of the story. It has become a huge headache for him to get a director for this remake.

The original director Vetrimaaran works only in the Tamil film industry. He has refused to remake it in Telugu.

Lucifer Remake Goes into Cold Storage

Share

Ram Charan bought the remake rights of ‘Lucifer’ starring Malayalam legend Mohanlal in the hope to produce it with his father or Pawan Kalyan in the direction of Sukumar.

Reliable sources have informed us that the idea to remake it in Telugu has been dropped off now.

Sukumar is not showing much interest to remake it as he has moved on to make Allu Arjun’s next.

After wrapping up Bunny’s film, Sukumar will have to work either with NTR or Prabhas based on the availability of their dates.

Chiranjeevi will team up with other directors after wrapping up Koratala’s movie. Ram Charan, on the other hand, has to finish ‘RRR’ this year and he has other commitments as well.

All in all, ‘Lucifer’ has been put in cold storage. It may not happen any time soon. The price paid for remake rights is going to be wasted.

We Want Vintage DSP, say Mahesh’s Fans

Share

Music director Devi Sri Prasad has shared a photograph of cinematographer Rathnavelu visiting his recording studio. Both of them are working for Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’.

As soon as he shared this photo, Mahesh Babu’s fans sent a flurry of tweets to the music director urging him to give the best music.

They are in unanimous in their statements that he should bounce back. “We want vintage DSP,” they are posting.

In other words, they are requesting him to provide the hit tunes that he used to belt out when he was in great form years ago.

Barring “Rangasthalam”, his recent work has not been appreciated much. He has been facing criticism that he is just rehashing old tunes.

Check some of the comments…

– Maaku vintage dsp malli kavali Anna
– Anna music meeda hopes ela unnayi ante…..oka range lo unnai… Dummu lepai.. #DSP back …TFI lo ne song raka enni rojulu avuthunnai anna… Plz… Routine ga kottaku.
– Annaya music irragottali
– E saari target miss avadhu ane gatte namakam tho unnam

Anil Ravipudi directed Mahesh Babu starrer “Sarileru Neekevvaru” will compete with Trivikram – Allu Arjun’s “Ala Vaikunthapuramlo” on January 12, 2020. As there’s fierce competition between these movies, fans are worried about songs.

Thaman’s songs for “Ala Vaikunthapuramlo” have become a rage. Hence, Mahesh Babu’s fans are urging DSP to put extra effort into giving catchy tunes.

Opinion: How Jagan bungled in Subramaniam issue

Share

The way Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy handled the L V Subramaniam episode shows that the new Chief Minister still has a long way to go in acquiring the skills necessary to deal with bureaucrats.

Why was Subramaniam transferred to an insignificant post?

Apparently, in a recent meeting chaired by YS Jagan, the issue of acquiring land for dumping waste in all regions came up.

Subramaniam reportedly instructed the officials and IAS officers that they should acquire lands for dumping waste immediately because the government was planning to distribute land to the poor and because of this largesse, land might not be available.

To this, Jagan had remarked with a smile, “Whatever Subramaniam anna might feel, please remember that your priority is the distribution of land to the poor.”

Everyone laughed to defuse the awkwardness of the situation, but the damage had been done.

Naturally, passing judgement on government policy was a ‘slip of tongue’ by Subramaniam as it amounted to belittling the CM.

Added to this was the internal squabbles between Subramaniam and Praveen Prakash.

Reportedly, there was no clear demarcation of their authority with protocol favoring Subramaniam whereas Jagan was said to be impressed with Prakash for pushing through as many GOs as possible.

Nevertheless, when Subramaniam issued a show-cause notice to Praveen Prakash, alleging misconduct and violation of rules, none expected that three days later, Praveen Prakash would order the transfer of Subramaniam.

This was clearly done with the blessings of Jagan, a sort of vengeance at getting back at the man who had issued him a notice. This is where Jagan failed to act with tact.

Instead of dismissing Subramaniam as Chief Secretary, Jagan could have called in both Subramaniam and Prakash, sorted out their differences and demarcated a clear line of functions, actions and hierarchy for them.

Similarly, he could have excused Subramaniam’s ‘slip of tongue’ by reprimanding him severely in person. Instead, what he resorted to was not a sacking of Subramaniam but a humiliation of the latter.

Subramaniam has always been a ‘loyalist’ and besides, bureaucrats who supported Jagan have always found themselves in trouble in the past whether it be Subramaniam, Srilakshmi or someone else.

Now, when the turbulent times are over, if he cannot tolerate or excuse a single lapse on their part, it is unfair to their unstinted loyalty.

Besides, dismissing officers like Subramaniam in such a fashion will make other officers insecure as well.

Also, Subramaniam has less than a year for retirement and he could have been allowed to retire gracefully. Instead, removing him within only four months of the government’s formation reflects poorly on Jagan.

Maybe, worried over the negative fallout of Subramaniam’s ouster with the Brahmin community, a GO was passed appointing Ramana Deekshithulu as advisor in TTD. The merits or demerits of Ramana Deekshithulu are best left to the Lord Venkateswara himself.

Chandrababu had dealt harshly with the likes of IY Krishna Rao and Ajay Kallem and others and paid a huge price for it.

The problem with Jagan is that he is expecting the bureaucracy to adopt to his style whereas it is usually the other way round.

Bureaucrats spend their entire lives designing government mechanisms and they see umpteen Chief Ministers come and go. One cannot handle them the way one runs a political party or a faction.

The Chief Minister by virtue of his age can be quite hot-blooded at times. But he will surely learn and has to because the consequences can be quite pernicious.

He has come to power with a mammoth mandate and the expectations from him are sky-high. It is so easy to crumble under the weight of these expectations and make mistakes.

But because of those very expectations, even a small mistake will be viewed with a magnifying glass. And that is Jagan Mohan Reddy’s biggest problem.

Jagan Wins Over Naidu On AgriGold

Share

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had won one step above his predecessor N Chandrababu Naidu, in dealing with the controversial AgriGold issue.

Though the issue came to the light during Naidu’s regime, the TDP government did nothing to do justice to the depositors except arresting the chairman and managing directors of the company.

The depositors, who were in a few lakhs, held series of protests and some agents committed suicide due to pressures from the depositors.

But, Naidu did nothing to help anyone, excepting proceeding further to grab the prime asset of the AgriGold, the Hailand project at Chinakakani, on the outer boundary of Amaravati capital city.

But, Jagan Mohan Reddy, in just a span of five months in office, is making payments to 3.99 lakh depositors whose deposits were less than Rs 10,000.

The money would be paid to these depositors’ accounts today by the government and Jagan Mohan Reddy is launching it in Guntur.

Interestingly, Jagan Mohan Reddy is making his next move to pay the depositors of Rs 10,000 above and Rs 20,000 below in the next phase and this would benefit another 3 lakh people.

That is the difference between the man of words and man of works. By helping the unlucky depositors in five months, Jagan Mohan Reddy climbed several feet height than Naidu who could not make any payment in five years.

The response from the depositors’ association, which is headed by the CPM leaders, is enough indication to see where Jagan Mohan Reddy stands and to where Naidu slipped down.

Galla is all set to make his screen debut

To be written and directed by Sriram Adittya, the director had earlier made films like ‘Bhale Manchi Roju,’ ‘Shamanthakamani’ and ‘DevaDas.’

This would be the director’s fourth film and he is coming up with a different entertainer.

Coming to Ashok, he got trained and underwent a makeover. He looks far more charming than he was earlier.

In the crew section, Ghibran is signed for music while Richard Prasad will crank the camera.

This will have an official launch on November 10th at Ramanaidu Studios and more details will be announced on the launch day.

Bheeshma Teaser: Nithin Gets A Khushi Moment!

Share

The famous ‘nadumu’ scene from iconic Khushi movie is still one of the most used references in Telugu Cinema.

Pawan Kalyan’s expressions and Mani Sharma’s background music made it one of the most popular scenes ever.

Now Pawan’s diehard fan Nithin tries to replicate it in his upcoming film Bheeshma. Two scenes are different yet they have many similarities between them.

Nithin walking behind Rashmika with his hands open like he is trying to grab her by the waist is how Nithin as Bheeshma is introduced to us.

Bheeshma has a tagline that reads Single Forever, but Nithin appears to be deeply immersed in love with Rashmika.

The teaser is simple yet effective and director Venky Kudumula proves that he knows how to grab the attention of youth. Bheeshma is aiming for release on February 21, 2020.
