Megastar Flies Off To USA, Troubles Unresolved In MAA
Like we revealed it already, Telugu Movie Artists Association (MAA) is paddling in rough weathers as all is not well between the office bearers of the institution who wants to snatch power at the humiliation of the other. With Naresh and Rajasekhar’s troupes trying to hold meetings and wield their power, the dispute landed in the court of biggies now.
As both the groups are a bit close to Megastar Chiranjeevi, they have knocked his doors to resolve the dispute. While legally Naresh has the rights over MAA as President, Jeevitha and Rajasekhar, who are general secretary and executive body members are actually trying to seize power showcasing that Naresh is not turning up at the office. However, Chiru is not available to them in the last couple of weeks for a quick discussion to resolve things.
Firstly Chiru got busy with Sye Raa promotions and later he’s looking after launching Koratala Siva’s new film with him. Then has prepared for Bigg Boss shoot and later he has flown off to the USA for a wedding of their relative. Only after coming back from the USA, he might sit with both the parties and settle the issue amicably.
For now, both Naresh and Rajasekhar troupe are advised not to knock the doors of media with their press meets as that will splash more mud on the image of MAA.
No Takers For Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo And Sarileru Neekevvaru?
One of the biggest clashes Tollywood has ever seen in the recent times is going to happen on January 12th, 2020 as Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru and Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo are set for a mega showdown that day. But here is news coming from trade circles about these two films.
Definitely, for the kind of star heroes these films are being led by, they will be raking up huge moolah during the pre-sales. But all that is getting limited to Telugu states, overseas distribution and only for satellite rights they say. A report is doing rounds that Hindi dubbing rights of these two films are not yet closed.
As the producers of these two high budgeted films are quoting exorbitant prices to give away the Hindi dubbing rights, there are no takers for the same. Earlier they used to pay somewhere like 15-20 crores easily for Hindi dubbing rights. But now, with the advent of Amazon Prime and Netflix, even Hindi users are watching non-dubbed Telugu movie with subtitles. That seems to be the major think Hindi distributors are not interested in dubbing Telugu movies.
At the same time, similar action movies of star heroes from Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam are being sold at 5-7 crores. That is making Hindi circuits little cautious as they could buy nearly 3 films with the budget they pour in to own a Telugu film of Allu Arjun or Mahesh Babu.
Upset LV Subrahmanyam goes on a month leave!
The sudden transfer of bureaucrat LV Subrahmanyam has shocked many in the Andhra Pradesh political circles. He was posted as the Director-General of the state Human Resources Development Institute in Bapatla.
On Wednesday, LV Subrahmanyam relieved himself from the services of chief secretary and handed over it to in-charge CS Nirab Kumar. However, LV did not take up the new role of DG of HRD and he went on a leave for a month. Till December 6th, LV will not be available is what we are hearing from the Andhra Pradesh secretariat sources. Insiders say that LV is deeply hurt and upset in the manner in which he was transferred and that too by a Principal Secretary (Political) to the government.
LV has only five months of service left and in that a month will go for this leave and the remaining are just four months. Reports are coming LV may not take up the new role and is most likely to extend his leave.
Varun Tej To Put Boxing Project On Hold Again?
Recently the much-delayed film of Varun Tej, a role for which he prepped well by going to the USA and getting trained in kickboxing, got launched with a pooja event. However, it looks like this film is going to dally a bit longer if the options in front of this mega hero are anything to go by.
After wrapping Antariksham movie and F2, Varun Tej was supposed to do this boxing movie under Kiran Korrapati’s direction. But after taking training for the role, actually, he moved to Harish Shankar’s Jigarthanda remake, which was titled Valmiki and later rechristened as Gaddalakonda Ganesh. After the release of this film, he has started the boxing project.
Latest reports are coming out that in case if both Prabhas and Mahesh are not ready to offer him immediate dates for an action thriller, director Surender Reddy might opt for Varun Tej. In case if Surender Reddy’s project comes up, then Varun will be putting up boxing project on hold and will wrap the Sye Raa director’s film first, says a source.
For now, Varun Tej is still preparing for the role of a boxer as he’s building out a new physique for the same.
#RTCStrike: Employees attacked by colleagues with slippers
The strike of TSRTC employees has turned violent as few employees were attacked in Mahbubnagar district. Going into details, three employees working under Mahbubnagar depot have joined their duties on Tuesday. Getting to know about this the protesting employees fumed and attacked the three.
The police stepped into action and rescued the three employees from the violent mob. A woman employee was among the three and despite this the agitating employees showed no mercy and attacked the lady. The situation turned tense for some time and the police beefed up the security at the depot.
Later the RTC employees staged a rally with the banner of three employees who joined the work. They also warned that any employee who joins the work without the union notice, will meet the same fate.
Overall, RTC employees have intensified their protest which has entered the 33rd day.
Rumour: Mahesh and Bunny made a secret pact?
Both the films Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Sarileru Neekevvaru have created panic in trade circles as they have announced back to back about their arrival on January 12th, 2020, as they aimed for a Sankranthi release.
Many got stunned with these decisions as Dil Raju, who is behind Mahesh Babu’s film, happens to be the one who is advocating avoiding of clash of big films at the box office as one will eat away into the revenues of others. Also, Allu Arvind, the producer of Allu Arjun’s film is known for hitting theatres on solo dates. It looked like ego clashes between these two teams led to announcing the same date of release.
But a rumour is doing rounds that before heading to Paris for the song shoot of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Allu Arjun has met Mahesh Babu at Dil Raju’s office, to discuss the clash. Both the heroes are said to have come to an agreement to not release their films on the day of Jan 12th. So what’s the other date?
While Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo will be pushed to January 11th, Sarileru Neekevvaru will be hitting cinemas on 13th, giving a good 2-day-gap such that both films could reap benefits on Sankranthi eve. We have to see how far this rumoured news turns true.
Chiranjeevi Consoled Kanna Babu?
The selective targeting of YSR Congress leader and Andhra Pradesh agriculture minister Kurasala Kanna Babu by power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan in his speech at Visakhapatnam rally the other day triggered an uproar in the Kapu community.
The community leaders are wondering why Pawan Kalyan has been making such pungent comments against Kanna Babu so frequently.
There is a talk that the Jana Sena Party chief might be feeling jealous of Kanna Babu who had entered politics through a party launched by the former’s brother Chiranjeevi and grown to the level of a cabinet minister.
During the last elections, Pawan specifically targeted Kanna Babu and focused his attention on defeating him, but he could not succeed.
On the other hand, the power star had lost in both the seats he had contested. That might have compounded his jealousy against Kanna Babu.
However, Kanna Babu got some solace after the latest episode. Sources said megastar Chiranjeevi himself had called Kanna Babu directly and requested him not to take Pawan Kalyan’s comments seriously.
“It is just part of politics. Don’t take such comments personally. Pawan has no personal grouse against you, except political differences,” the megastar is learnt to have told Kanna Babu.
It may be recalled that Chiranjeevi had gone all the way to Kanna Babu’s residence a couple of months ago, when there was a tragedy in his family and consoled his family members. Even now, Kanna Babu is yet to overcome the loss of his brother.
And Chiranjeevi knew such personal comments from Chiranjeevi against Kanna Babu would definitely hurt him and so, had spoken to him personally to assuage his feelings.
It may be recalled that Kanna Babu had also helped Chiranjeevi by ensuring permission from the state government for extra shows for the latter’s latest film “Sye Raa.”
So, the relationship between the minister and the megastar is still continuing!

Aditya Music has been buying the digital rights of audio songs and video songs after the rise of income through digital streaming.
They bought the rights of Ala Vaikunthapuramulo movie’s digital content for Rs. 3 Crore and they are pretty happy with the deal.
Thanks to the aggressive marketing strategy of AVPL makers two songs from the film were launched much earlier than its theatrical release.
Both Samajavaragamana and Ramulo Ramula are rocking all digital platforms at the moment.
Samajavaragamana crossed 100 Million streams and Ramulo Ramula also is on course to repeat the feat.
It seems Aditya Music is going to earn Rs. 1.5 Crore on Samajavaragamana song alone. Neither the video song nor the promo of the song are released yet.
Aditya Music will get back their investment on the movie with these two songs and they will make big profits on the rest of the content that will be launched soon.

Kaleshwaram team working for Polavaram!
The gigantic Kaleshwaram irrigation scheme on Godavari river in Telangana, the world’s biggest multi-stage lift irrigation scheme, is considered to be an engineering marvel and has won the accolades from the Centre and even irrigation experts from other countries.
Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL), which has executed the Kaleshwaram project, has bagged the contract for the prestigious Polavaram project on Godavari river in West Godavari and has commenced the project works after getting the clearance from the state high court last week.
Interestingly, the same engineering team which had worked on Kaleshwaram project is now said to be working on Polavaram project.
Within days of formally commencing the project works, the expert team from Kaleshwaram landed in Polavaram to execute the works.
As part of it, the engineers are now concentrating on draining out excess water from the project area, along with slush and soil deposited in the spill channel.
Specially designed pumps have been erected at the spillway to drain out the water so that concrete works would begin at the right earnest.
“Now that there are no rains and floods to Godavari river, the first thing that needs to be done is to clean up the entire area which had witnessed heavy waterlogging due to stoppage of work in the last six months. Simultaneously, the works on fabrication and erection of gates would be done,” an official said.

Jupudi Back To Babu Bashing!
Till the other day, former MLC Jupudi Prabhakar Rao had been in the Telugu Desam Party enjoying various positions like SC Corporation chairman and also official spokesman.
He used to praise Chandrababu Naidu and make wild allegations against YSR Congress party and its president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
As an official spokesman of the TDP, Jupudi used to take part in television debates and attack Jagan with strongest words.
But soon after the recent elections when the TDP faced a humiliating defeat in the hands of the YSRC, Jupudi had taken a U-turn and within three months, he was back into the YSRC, shamelessly claiming that he was impressed with Jagan’s governance.
Even as the people are yet to digest the news that he jumped into the YSRC, Jupudi has started attacking the TDP and Chandrababu Naidu.
On Wednesday, he made a scathing attack on Naidu for trying to create a religious divide in the state by floating a false story through a pamphlet purported to have been written by Jerusalem Mathaiah who thanked Jagan for transferring chief secretary L V Subrahmanyam.
“The theory bringing in religious background as the reason for the Chief Secretary’s transfer is not true. This has been scripted by Chandrababu Naidu to whip up religious passions,” Jupudi said.
He reminded that Mathaiah was an accused in the cash for vote case that involved Chandrababu Naidu.
The way, the pamphlet of Jerusalem Mathaih was used by Chandrababu Naidu is deplorable and the TDP leader is trying to give a new colour to the routine administrative matter in the transfer of Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam, Jupudi said.
“Jagan is working for the all-round development of the state irrespective of caste, creed or religion who got a thumping mandate by the people. He belongs to everybody who is truly secular and visits a church, a temple or a mosque,” he said.
