RTC Strike Is Indirectly Helping #SyeRaa??

With Telangana-RTC workers going on an indefinite strike, people in Hyderabad are commuting through Metro, MMTS, and share-autos, while the rich got cabs anyway. If we keep the strike aside, some say that this is actually helping Sye Raa. Here’s how.
Unable to come up with an alternate plan to counter RTC workers, and not able to solve the crisis with immediate effect, Telangana CM KCR has declared a week more holidays for all the educational institutions in Hyderabad city. With students having no colleges, naturally, their inclination will be towards entertainment and watching Sye Raa will be one of them.
Though many thought that Sye Raa’s dream run will be over after Dasara holidays, these holidays given to students due to the RTC strike is indirectly helping the film mint huge money. As Nizam are rights of the film are weighed at 34 crores and the film collecting 29+ crore share already, surely these holidays are a boon for the Megastar Chiranjeevi starrer.
Chiru Finds A Director For Lucifer Remake?
If there is any remakes specialists in Tollywood when it comes to star heroes, it is none other than Megastar Chiranjeevi as 90% of his remake movies worked out well at the box office.
At a time when his career is in slumps, films like Hitler and then Tagore, have bounced him back to a new level, while Kaththi remake Khaidi No 150 made his re-entry memorable.
Recently Chiranjeevi surprised everyone by owning the remake rights of Malayalam blockbuster “Lucifer” whose Telugu dubbed version failed to click at the box office.
And many are waiting to see who will be directing this film as star Telugu directors are often not interested in remakes, and Vinayak has done only partial justice to Khaidi No 150 with his direction capabilities.
Reports are coming up that director Sukumar got convinced by Chiranjeevi to helm this remake and the film might go on floors after Megastar wraps his current project with Koratala Siva. But then, Sukumar must also wrap his commitment with Allu Arjun, before taking up this film.

Some time back, director Atlee is wandering in Hyderbad, knocking the doors of some big Telugu superstars, giving them feelers about his new story. There were rumours that two big stars of the Telugu film industry have listened to his narration and doesn’t want to do it because of the aged-guy role in it.
Reports are coming that Atlee has first met Mahesh Babu to narrate the story of his new film ‘Bigil’ and the hero hasn’t liked it as the director wanted him to do the double action, as father and son. Then the script went to Allu Arjun, who is said to have thought that its a routine story with routine plots and the hero character is not strongly placed.
Then the film went to Vijay, who has done two films with Atlee already including Theri and Mersal, and their hattrick combo seems to be a winner already if the trailer is anything to go by. If the film turns out to be a huge blockbuster, then we must say that there is an error in the judgment of both Mahesh and Allu Arjun.

Telangana RTC driver who attempted self-immolation dies
Hyderabad: A Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) driver, who attempted self-immolation, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital here on Sunday, triggering protests by striking employees and opposition parties.
Srinivas Reddy, who set himself on fire in Khammam town on Saturday and sustained critical injuries, died at the Apollo DRDO Hospital in Hyderabad, where he was admitted.
The driver had resorted to the extreme step during a protest by TSRTC employees, whose indefinite strike entered the ninth day on Sunday.
Employee unions alleged that Reddy was depressed over losing his job as Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has announced that over 48,000 employees dismissed themselves by not joining duty before deadline set by the state government. He has ruled out taking back these employees into TSRTC.
The driver’s death triggered tension near hospital in Kanchanbagh area as leaders of TSRTC employee unions and opposition parties reached there and staged a protest against the government, blaming it for the employee’s death.
The protestors raised slogan against the government. The police had a tough time in controlling the crowd at the hospital.
Tension prevailed in Khammam district as incidents of stone pelting on the TSRTC buses were reported since Saturday evening.
Unknown protestors stopped buses being operated by temporary drivers, forced the passengers to get down and then attacked the vehicles. No one was injured in these incidents.
As TSRTC is operating buses with temporary staff, three incidents of attacks on drivers occurred in Khammam.
A Joint Action Committee (JAC) of TSRTC employees unions on Saturday decided to further intensify the strike. It called for a state-wide shutdown on October 19.
The Chief Minister has rejected all the demands of the striking employees including the main demand for merger of TSRTC with the government. He also ruled out talks with them.
US BO: Sye Raa Joins All-Time Top 10 List
“Sye Raa” has not given up. The period drama is still drawing decent collections in its second weekend at the USA box-office.
The film grossed a good amount on Saturday taking its total cumulative gross to $2,448,312. Thus the film has crossed the lifetime gross of Chiranjeevi’s previous blockbuster “Khaidi No 150”.
“Sye Raa” is now standing at the tenth position in all-time charts of US Box-office for the Telugu films.
Directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Charan, “Sye Raa” won good reviews.
At one time, it is expected that it would join the $3 million club but the had uneven run after the initial hype.

The third installment of ‘Raju Gari Gadhi’ franchise is gearing up for release next week.

KCR To Visit Gulf Victims And Bring Them Back
In what can be a first of its kind move, Telangana CM KCR is all set to visit Gulf for a cause. CM KCR will be Gulf bound in order to woo the Telangana daily wage labour struggling in Gulf making to meet their ends.
As a lot of labourers from Telangana are going through a lot of suffering and pain at a location far off from their native and missing their families, friends relatives, KCR wants to spread awareness among them about the government’s initiatives in Telangana state.
As Telangana is progressing with a lot of infrastructure and lot of constructions due to several government projects, KCR wants the Telangana labour in Gulf to return to their home turf and wants them to work in the state.
With the completion of Kaleswaram Irrigation project, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Medak, Adilabad, Warangal and Nalgonda districts are getting abundant water for irrigation for two crops. CM KCR wants the Telangana labour in Gulf to know about the growing works and growing employment opportunities, jobs in the state and wants them to return to their homeland.
CM KCR announced that he would personally meet the Gulf victims and asks them to return to the state. As several projects are under construction at various stages, KCR is keen on providing jobs to these Gulf victims.
This is indeed a good move by KCR. Amidst the heat of TSRTC strike and about 48,000 employees have boycotted to work, KCR’s announcement on Gulf visit turns interesting.
