Already the theme of ‘Disco Raja’ is out that a dead guy wakes up after 35 years and he finds himself as a former don who now avenges the death of his loved ones. And this guy who belongs to early 80s doesn’t know about present day things. Here’s an interesting snippet that is exciting mega fans actually.

Inside the movie Disco Raja, the character played by Raviteja actually sees the poster of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s “Khaidi No 150” and gets excited. He says that Chiru’s super hit Khaidi is running since 80s to till date. And later when Vennela Kishore gives clarity that this Khaidi No 150 but not Khaidi, Raviteja says that Chiru’s charisma is pretty much the same even after 35 years.

A section of audiences might have got excited for the scene though we have seen many such praisings of Megastar in many movies including Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo recently where Bunny talks about ‘Peddaayana song’ and dances to Abbani Tiyyani Debba. In the wake of Disco Raja getting negative talk, will this mega-praising scene helps to attract mega fans is something we have to see.

Suspense continues on Nizamabad Corporation

The Telangana municipal election results witnessed TRS party’s wave but not it Nizamabad. The counting for the corporation is going on and so far it is the BJP which is leading while TRS is at third place. Out of the 60 divisions in the corporation, BJP won 15 wards while MIM won win 8 wards and TRS won five wards.

The trends also suggest that BJP is likely to emerge as the leader but it may fall short of the majority. But BJP is said to in touch with independents and TRS rebels. If they lack the majority, BJP may take them into consideration. If BJP bags Nizamabad corporation, it would be another victory for the MP Dharmapuri Aravind. The BJP leaders are confident that the saffron flag will fly over the corporation.

Meanwhile, the TRS and MIM are said to be in talks to make sure BJP doesn’t sit in the Mayor chair. Going by the reports, the Nizamabad corporation results might get delayed but there is a huge tension among all three parties.

Sunil, A Surprise Pack In Disco Raja

Ever since Tamil hero Vikram has done fantastic switch between two characters in the film ‘Aparichitudu’ where he does both the characters in the same scene all at once, many heroes tried it. But then, only a few succeed to bring out such an interesting variation.

It’s quite understatement to say that Sunil is just a comedy hero after watching the way he carried himself in the climax of Disco Raja movie. From playing the role of an innocent and timid guy on one side to displaying a ruthless ability on the other side, he has simply mesmerised with his performance. The way he switches between Uttam Kumar and Antony Das is awesome and invited whistles from the audience in Disco Raja.

But the bad luck is that Sunil has done this in a movie whose fate is most likely to end on a downside. As the film made only 2.8 crores share on its first day, reaching the total 22 crores share target is impossible actually for the kind of below-average talk it got. Had the film got a blockbuster talk, Sunil would have got raining offers though he still has a chance to do different things in Tollywood now.

In real life, Young Tiger NTR is quite a jovial man who speaks to everyone on the sets and surprises them all with his down to earth nature. The way he addresses people inquires about their well being and talks about their upcoming projects is always discussed in Film Circles.

Here comes an incident that happened at Hyderabad international airport where Jr NTR has indulged in a funny banter with a paparazzi photographer. apparently these photographers stay in the airports, eat their food there and make sure that they catch the pictures of most celebs arriving (and leaving) at the airport. This trend is predominant in Mumbai for years and has now crept here in Tollywood too.

Upon looking a paparazzi photographer who is there at the airport at late hours and clicking the pictures of NTR, the actor immediately called him. He’s caught in a video shot by an onlooker where the actor is asking, “Nuvvu inka intiki vellava? Tindi Nidra anni ikkadena?”. While he jokingly said that, the real meaning is about his concern for the photographer who stays in the airport all the time to click celebs.

Well, it is those little appreciations that actually fuel these paparazzi photographers to work more enthusiastically even at odd hours.

BJP shock to Pawan: Feb 2 rally deferred!

In what can be a rude shock to Jana Sena Party chief and actor Pawan Kalyan, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday announced postponement of the proposed “long march” on February 2 in support of Amaravati farmers protesting against the three capitals plan.

The rally was jointly planned by BJP and Jana Sena from Tadepalli to Vijayawada Exhibition Centre at 2 pm on February 2 (Sunday). The plan was announced by Pawan Kalyan in New Delhi after meeting BJP national president J P Nadda.

But on Saturday, BJP State vice president Turaga Nagabhushanam issued a statement stating that the “long march” has been postponed. The next date would be declared only after discussing further on the action plan on the issue.

Ironically, there is no clarity as to whether it was a unilateral decision of the BJP to postpone the rally or a decision was taken in consultation with Pawan Kalyan. The statement also does not mention whether any meeting was held between Pawan and the top BJP leaders in this regard.

While the statement on postponement of the long march came from the BJP, there is no statement so far from Jana Sena or Pawan Kalyan in his individual capacity.

One wonders whether the BJP has developed second thoughts on supporting the Amaravati farmers following instructions from Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Union home minister Amit Shah, who apparently do not want to interfere in the controversy, since it is a state subject.

It remains to be seen how and whether the BJP and Jana Sena would work together on issues of common interest in the coming days.

Naidu desperate to keep his flock together!

With just two days left for the Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly reassembling again to pass a resolution on abolition of council, Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu appears to desperate to keep his flock of his party MLCs together.

Naidu has been making open appeals to his party members in the legislative council not to succumb to any pressure tactics from the YSR Congress party and get sold out to it. He told them that nothing would happen even if the legislative council was abolished.

“It will take one to one-a-half years for the abolition of council. In the past, I gave the MLA tickets to the MLCs who stood by the party in the hour of crisis. I will honour you people again with bigger posts. Even otherwise, we shall revive the council, once the TDP comes to power again,” Naidu told the MLCs in a teleconference on Saturday.

He told them to be brave and not get panicky. He alleged that the YSRC leaders were trying to intimidate, threaten and use all sorts of tricks to lure his party MLCs. “They have been offering cars, plots, lands and big moneys, besides posts and positions in the proposed zonal development councils and corporations. They also threatened our legislators with booking them in various cases. Yet, they have not succumbed to such pressures,” he said

Will KCR transfer power to his son now?

With the Telangana Rashtra Samithi registering a huge victory in the municipal elections in the state, the talk of whether this will signal anointment of TRS working president and IT minister K T Rama Rao as the next chief minister of the state.

The TRS is all set to win 110 out of 120 municipalities and eight out of 10 municipal corporations. While there is a hung situation in Ramagundam municipal corporation, but the TRS might capture it ultimately, while the BJP is trying its best to conquer Nizamabad.

Right from the beginning, there has been a talk that TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would transfer his responsibility to his son soon after the municipal elections. Even KTR has been saying that winning the municipal elections was very crucial for him.

So, the question is how soon KCR step down in favour of his son. Apparently, he is waiting for a muhurtham to do that. One talk is that he might do it on his 66th birthday to be celebrated on February 17. Since six is his lucky number, KCR might consider this date for the transfer of power to KTR.

There is another version that KCR will perform “Maha Sudershana Yagam” in the month of March at Yadadri in the capacity of the chief minister. The temple would also be thrown open to the pilgrims during that time. Soon after that, he will announce anointment of KTR as the next chief minister.

In any case, KCR may drop some hints to that effect during the press conference at Telangana Bhavan in the evening, sources said.

Amaravathi: Monday Seems To Be Too Long!

Monday, the D-day for the Jaganmohan Reddy government to take a call on the continuation of the Legislative Council in Andhra Pradesh, is assuming importance with everyone making wild guesses on the developments to happen.

Most of the political parties are talking about the possibilities of the AP Legislative Council to be scrapped by the Jaganmohan Reddy, while there are a few who see either it is impossible task for the government or some sort of split in the TDP MLCs.

One TDP MLC (Dokka Manikyavaraprasad) had already sent his resignation, while another (Pothula Suneetha) had met the chief minister. Third MLC had abstained from the council meeting the other day on personal reasons.

With the Council referring the three capitals bill to the select committee and the Chief Minister hinting at dissolving it, and setting Monday as due date to start the process, the political corridors are busy now, waiting for the day.

Meanwhile, there is hectic lobbying going around to convince some of the TDP MLCs either to cross over or abstain from voting when the government sends the bills to the Council.

Some of the MLCs, mostly from the BJP and the Left-parties promoted Progressive Democratic Front, are on the job to resolve the crisis.

Poll: Is It Wise To Abolish Legislative Council in Andhra?

The threat by the chief minister to abolish the Council on Thursday and posting the issue for Monday is also seen as an opportunity for the MLCs to think and act.

The government is very particular on the bills and it is time for the members to respond or abstain, so that the government would carry out its business.

As of now, at least a dozen MLCs have realised the seriousness of the Jaganmohan Reddy’s statement and are beginning to come to terms with the government.

If this happens by Monday, the Legislative Council might continue to exist or else, the government is sure of brining a bill to abolish the Council.

Interestingly, the draft bill was ready on last Monday, as Jaganmohan Reddy predicted this situation.

However, he kept it aside on the advice of some of his colleagues, who promised to resolve the issue. If they succeed, the council will survive after Monday or else, will have to be scrapped after Monday.

Either way, Monday had become all the more crucial for AP politics and politicians.

The film’s first look poster as well as motion poster has been unveiled today by Rana Daggubati.

The first look poster that shows Pradeep in panche kattu as rural guy enjoying the company of his girlfriend played by Amritha Iyer is delightful.

Directed by Munna, the film’s entire shoot has already been wrapped up. Popular Kannada producer SV Babu is bankrolling the project under SV Productions banner.

Anoop Rubens scores music, while Chandra Bose is the single card lyricist.

Pradeep is very successful as anchor. Will he make his mark in films, we need to wait and see!

Chiru152: Limited Budget, Huge Profits

Budget control is the buzz word in the mega camp. Megastar Chiranjeevi had instructed his entire team at Konidela productions to be alert on spending money for the production of their current movie that is directed by Koratala Siva.

“Sye Raa” was Megastar Chiranjeevi’s dream project and Ram Charan gave unlimited budget to director Surender Reddy.

The film was shot with Rs 250 crore and was sold for high prices as well. However, except in Telugu states, the movie didn’t become successful in theaters.

Recently, the team had completed accounting of this film and it has been estimated that they have lost Rs 40 crore on the total investment.

Chiranjeevi didn’t take remuneration for this film. If we add his remuneration, the loss goes beyond Rs 70 crore.

Hence, Chiranjeevi has asked his team at Konidela Productions to wrap Siva Koratala’s film within Rs 80 crore budget (excluding remuneration of Chiranjeevi). This film will definitely do a business in the range of Rs 150 crore. So, the losses from “Sye Raa” will be recovered with the profits on Chiru152.

The film is jointly produced by Niranjan Reddy and Ram Charan. Chiranjeevi plays a full-length role while Ram Charan plays an important character in the movie. Trisha has been finalized as the heroine.
