Why is this sudden talk on KTR as CM?
For the last few days, there has been a serious talk over the possibility of Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president and Information Technology minister K T Rama Rao being anointed as the next chief minister of Telangana.
Though KTR himself has denied that such a discussion has no meaning for now, as his father is hale and hearty and would continue as the chief minister for the complete term, his cabinet colleagues have been making statements stating that KTR had all the capabilities of becoming the chief minister.
Starting with Minister for Culture V Srinivas Goud, all the othe ministers like Talasani Srinivasa Yadav, Errabelli Dayakar and Koppula Eshwar have been issuing statements one after the other, supporting KTR as the next chief minister.
On Monday, another minister V Prashant Reddy, a close confidant of KCR, too, made a similar statement that KTR will soon become the chief minister. Since this has come from KCR’s right hand man, it has lent some credibility to the ongoing talk.
Sources said there is a well-laid strategy behind this latest development of ministers speaking in favour of KTR as the next chief minister.
Apparently, KCR himself has told his party leaders that the time has come to hand over the baton to his son and confine himself to an advisory role.
“I have achieved my goal of making Telangana statehood a reality. I have brought the TRS to power twice and ensured that the development has come on right tracks. There is nothing much left for me to do. Here onwards, KTR will take up the responsibility of developing Telangana as an advanced state with his new ideas and dynamic strategies,” KCR reportedly told his party colleagues.
The TRS chief, in all probability, will step down from the chief minister post after the budget session in March; or some time around Dasara festival, party sources said.
Why Pawan Kalyan met two BJP MPs?
After the poll debacle, Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan has been giving all kind of feelers which made us think that he is more inclined to Modi, Shah and Bharatiya Janata Party. Through his speeches, Pawan Kalyan said that India want leaders like Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. On other hand, his secret trip to New Delhi, few weeks ago, has led to several speculations among the media circles. Infact, BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said they will be ready to accept JSP, if Pawan comes up with a merger plan. But, Pawan never really indicated about merging of Jana Sena.
One thing everyone could notice is Jana Sena getting closer to BJP leadership. Their national leader of Ram Madhav too had a one-on-one meeting with Pawan Kalyan in US last year. But, neither of the parties spoke about it in public so far. Yet again, Pawan Kalyan had a meeting with two young MPs of Bharatiya Janata Party and it has become a huge subject of discussion among political circles.
At the time when AP is going through protests from Amaravati farmers and when AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy was asked to appear before the Nampally court on 10th January, Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan had a brief meeting with two young BJP Parliamentarians: Mysore MP Pratap Simha and Bangalore South MP Tejaswi Surya. The agenda and intent of this meeting is not yet known, but Jana Sena party’s key leader Nadendla Manohar also was part of it.
From last few months, BJP is highly keen to expand wings in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. All they are looking for is a strong leadership and a star campaigner to lead. A rumour had it that Megastar Chiranjeevi was also approached by BJP leadership, but the actor seems have expressed his disinterest. In a recent interview, BJP leader IYR Krishna Rao too felt that both parties mutually benefit, with Jana Sena-BJP alliance. At this point of time, all we have to do is ‘wait and watch’ how the political twists will uncover in Andhra!
Amaravati farmers did business, not sacrifice!
For his own reasons, YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken a decision to shift the administrative capital to Visakhapatnam and he is defending the same by all means.
The most important reason is decentralisation of administration for all-round development of the state and secondly, there is virtually no money with the government to go ahead with the capital construction at Amaravati.
The decision has naturally caused a lot of unrest among the farmers of Amaravati, who had given away their lands for the capital city, but the previous TDP government led by N Chandrababu Naidu had hardly done anything to give a shape to the capital.
In a way, it was Naidu who had created an illusionary picture about a mega capital at Amaravati and is responsible for the shattering of their dreams at present.
Since it is a sensitive issue, Jagan Mohan Reddy is trying to deal with Amaravati farmers’ issue cautiously so that his decision would not backfire on him politically.
He is said to be working out a comprehensive plan for development of Amaravati that would satisfy the farmers.
However, some of his cabinet colleagues like Botsa Satyanarayana and Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy, and YSR Congress leaders like Karem Sivaji and Alla Ramakrishna Reddy are making nasty statements that are only adding fuel to the fire.
Participating in a face-to-face programme of a television channel, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy made some strong comments against agitating farmers, that went viral in the social media, triggering further anger among the farmers.
He said what the farmers of Amaravati had done was “trading” with the government and not a sacrifice.
“If I have one acre of land and I give it to the government free of cost, then you can call it a sacrifice. But the farmers are of Amaravati had not given the land free of cost for the capital,” he said.
Alla pointed out that for every one acre, the farmer got back 20 per cent of the land in the form of plots with the hope that the plots would go up steeply and they would make crores of rupees from their plots.
“How can this be called a sacrifice? It was just a business deal,” he said.
He said as per the agreement, the government would develop the plots and give them to farmers.
“It is the government’s responsibility to see that the plots rates will go up,” the MLA said.
Karem Sivaji also made the same comments.
“It was the tribals and common people of Polavaram submergence villages who had done the real sacrifice. The Amaravati farmers are nothing before them,” he commented.
Such comments would only damage the image of the Jagan government which is trying to sort out the issue in an amicable way, an analyst observed.
Manchu Family meet PM Modi, what’s up!
Collection King Dr. Mohan Babu along with his son Vishnu, daughter Lakshmi Manchu and daughter-in-law Viranica have met PM Narendra Modi at the latter’s residence in New Delhi. For nearly 35 minutes, the meeting lasted and this has got some significance.
Shortly after the meeting concluded, Lakshmi Manchu took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “Just met The DYNAMIC Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi JI. If only India could hear his vision clearly and purely we would be in a greater place.” This statement definitely is an indirect comment on the protests going all over the country on Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
There have been reports that the BJP is gathering the support of film personalities on CAA. The BJP tried its hand with Bollywood but there wasn’t proper response and so they are reaching out to other film industries across the country.
Will Mohan Babu open up on his meeting with PM Modi? What he has to say? Let’s wait for him!

Nishabdam: First Half Silent?
It is rumoured that Anushka would largely remain silent in the first half of Nishabdam. In fact, not just Anushka Shetty, but first half of the film would relatively have less dialogues on the whole. This is said to be the reason why the film is titled as Nishabdam. The makers are maintaining low profile over this. This is an experiment and one has to wait and see, how the movie lovers receive it.
However, we hear that the second half justifies her silence and why the first half of the film has little or less dialogues. There is said to be a strong reason for Anushka’s silence. It can also be noted that Jr NTR had attempted similar feat in one of his yesteryear film. He was silent all through the first half of B Gopal’s Narasimhudu which starred Sameera Reddy and Ameesha Patel in the leads. The film had failed at the Box Office though.
But Nishabdam is certainly a gutsy movie. Since it’s been a while Anushka has a release, her fans are eagerly waiting for the film. Even her last film Bhaagmathie which released with relatively low expectations has set the BO on fire taking trade and critics by surprise. One should never underestimate the craze of Anushka in the fans. Let’s see.
Mahesh Kept It Very Short- That’s The Beauty
With heroes and heroines staying in touch with their fans almost daily through their social media pages and other media, gone are the days where lengthy speeches of them at audio functions will sound interesting. Now everyone wants to listen to simple and short speeches. Wonder why are we telling this? Here’s an interesting snippet.
Apparently Vijayasanthi has made her Sarileru Neekevvaru pre-release event speech a final conclusive speech as she spoke about everything and everyone. From the film’s story to director, Mahesh to other actors, Chiru to her political future, she covered everything. And then, there is Megastar Chiru’s speech spending, which we know that he takes huge time to concluded his part.
Understanding this, other day Mahesh Babu has kept his speech pretty shorter than he usually takes. He praised and thanked Chiru, praised Vijaysanthi and thanked others, before bidding a bye. That short speech is the real beauty of the evening many felt as Mahesh giving a long speech would have made the event boring.
On the other hand, Mahesh’s confidence as felt in his speech is something that we rarely see. Looks like he is so stunned about the output of Sarileru Neekevvaru which will be seen by the whole world in four more days.
Glamour Of The Night: Tamannaah!
There are some beauties who get enormous craze for a simple body of work but fail to project it well. Only in promotions lies the key to becoming big stars. And if someone should be cited as an example for that, it is none other than milky beauty Tamannaah Bhatia who suits that to the core.
Just for acting in an item number in Sarileru Neekevvaru, the kind of promotions Tamannaah indulged in for the film is stunning. She has not only danced at the pre-release event of the movie for the song ‘Dang ‘Dang’ but also radiated the event with her sparkling presence. And then, she attended the after-party at Mahesh’s house, where she became all the attention.
Posing with Namratha and other heroines including Viayasanthi, Rashmika and Sangeetha, she warmed up the evening. Later she shared pictures with Namrata’s daughter Sitara and Vamsi Paidipally’s daughter Aadya too. One can easily say, energy levels of Tamannaah is very high, as the promotions she will be doing will be mutually helpful here.
Firstly, Tamannaah will help promote Sarileru Neekevvaru and secondly she will get huge promotions in turn such that Telugu filmmakers will not forget her. Though the actress rubbishes that she is out of work, currently she has no big Telugu film in hand after Sye Raa released last year in October.
EMV should become a big Hit: Anil Ravipudi
The grand success of ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ pre-release event and phenomenal response to the trailer have made director Anil Ravipudi to be on cloud nine. But more than this, Anil had a joy on personal front as he was blessed with a son. It was truly an unforgettable day in his life yet he did miss out a few things and he realized it.
Taking to his Twitter, Anil Ravipudi wrote, “I was overwhelmed by the occasion and missed out mentioning my first hero and producer @nandamurikalyan garu. It was a genuine skip of thought and sincerely wish huge success for team #EnthaManchiVaadavuRaa.”
It was with ‘Pataas’ Anil marked his debut as director and now he is a leading director in Tollywood. It is understandable that Anil skipped to mention about his first hero but then he got back to it. It’s a good gesture to remember the persons who gave him big break in the industry.

‘Don’t call me Blade Ganesh, I’m Bandla Ganesh’
Actor-cum-producer Bandla Ganesh is always fun to watch when he is on stage. His speeches at various pre-release events have left viewers splitting their sides. After some gap, Ganesh is back to acting with Sarileru Neekevvaru as ‘Blade Ganesh’. Going by the theatrical trailer, his character is sure to offer some hilarious fun to audiences in the cinemas.
When Suma called him to deliver speech at the audio function, it sparked a huge uproar in the stadium. As always, Bandla Ganesh was all praise for Megastar Chiranjeevi, Superstar Mahesh Babu, Vijayashanti and director Anil Ravipudi. We all know that Ganesh said he will cut his throat with 7’o clock blade if Congress doesn’t come to power in Telangana assembly election. But, it later turned out as source for many memes and Ganesh also made of it.
Taking a cue from the highly discussed political dialogue, Anil seems to have designed Ganesh’s character in the film. On the occasion of pre-release event, the controversial producer said ‘Please don’t call me as Blade Ganesh, call me Bandla Ganesh’, which again left everyone in splits. He went on to promise that he will stay in movies for next three decades.
