Shocking increase in Twitter followers for Jr NTR’s heroine
RRR – The name itself is bringing in the immense excitement and amusement. The public is getting curious with every passing day, both for the trailer and the film itself. The new year 2020’s most-awaited film is definitely Rajamouli’s RRR and watching Jr NTR and Ram Charan on one go on big screens will be a feast for the eyes. Any doubts?!!
One thing that went puzzling over for a few months in this epic drama casting is Jr. NTR’s lady love in the film. With Daisy Edgar jones and Shraddha Kapoor names heard, the fans were perplexed over who has been confirmed as the female lead. However, Oliva Morris name emerged from nowhere and it was confirmed that this Hollywood actress has been roped in for the role.
The latest news is Olivia Morris wished her fans and followers on twitter a very happy new year. She tweeted “Happy New Year I’m unbelievably excited this year 2020” And she added hashtag #RRR. The tweet has instantly gone viral and the followers for her spiked up magically into enormous numbers.
Earlier, Morris has only 300 followers. And now, with RRR phenomenon, Morris garnered more than 22,000 followers on Twitter. That is the craze for the film and its team. We can say that Olivia is indeed lucky to be starred beside our Jr NTR in ace filmmaker Rajamouli’s film. Her popularity rose fortnight.
The film has completed its 40 per cent of shooting and Rajamouli is planning to release RRR in nearly ten popular languages. This periodic drama under DVV Dhanayya’s production will have Bollywood’s beauty queen Alia Bhatt opposite Mega power star Charan, which is a known fact by now.
Telangana still has good relations with Jagan!
For the last couple of months, there has been a talk that the relations between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been strained.The proposed meeting between the two chief ministers – K Chandrasekhar Rao and Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has not been held to discuss the plan to construct a joint irrigation project for linking Godavari river with Krishna basin. Subsequently, Jagan has gone ahead with his own river-linkage plan.
Both the states complained against each other in the Krishna river management board. Telangana filed a petition against Andhra on the construction of Polavaram and AP also launched a counter-affidavit questioning the construction of Kaleshwaram project against the norms. Though Jagan came to Hyderabad many times later, he did not meet KCR at all.
However, on Wednesday, Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president and IT minster K T Rama Rao said his father was still maintaining good relations with Jagan Mohan Reddy.Interestingly, he said there was no official statement from either state on the dropping of the proposal for a joint project on Godavari and Krishna rivers.
KTR, however, said even during the Chandrababu Naidu regime, Telangana had good relations with Andhra Pradesh and for that matter, the other states as well.“We have been able to complete the projects only because of the good relations with the neighbours,” he said.
Burning factory collapses in New Delhi
The fire accidents are reporting in the national capital regularly. Freshly a fire broke into a battery factory in west Delhi’s Peera Garhi and this has led to an explosion and collapse.
As per the media reports, at least 14 people, including 13 firefighters, have been injured after the building collapsed. Thirty-five fire engines are working on the rescue operations while a team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has reached spot just in case to avoid a huge mishap.
The fire reportedly broke in the factory around 4:30 AM and at 9 AM, the explosion took place. New Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is personally monitoring the situation.
This is the fourth fire accident that is reported in the national capital in the span of just a month. Looks like the fire safety norms are being overlooked by the people.
Venky’s Wife Role: Shriya Out, She Is In
The remake of Tamil blockbuster Asuran is going floors very soon with senior hero Venkatesh reprising the role of Dhanush in the Telugu version. Director Srinkanth Addala who has so far helmed only family dramas is carving this chilling thriller that revolves around caste-based deaths.
Initially, they have approached Anushka Shetty to play the role of hero’s wife, played by Manju Warrier quite effortlessly in the original. But the Baahubali actress has turned it down, owing to the less remuneration she was offered. And with no other option, the role went to easy standby Shriya who is always game for any roles, glamour or mother-types.
However, Shriya is also not comfortably saying okay for the role from the last two weeks and recently she is said to have confirmed that her dates are clashing. Maybe she don’t want to the rugged character and become mother of two grownup sons so early on the silver screen.
Finally, Suresh Productions is in talks with actress Priyamani who is looking for meaty roles sans glamour on the silver screen. If all goes well, she might sign the dotted line and an announcement is expected to come soon.
Muragadoss Found Third Hero After Chiru and Mahesh?
Director AR Murugadoss has recently admitted that he has failed to find the pulse of Telugu audiences as his films like Spyder went for a toss here. But the director is said to be trying hard for a Telugu hero for his next, and recently he has also narrated a story to him if sources are to be believed.
So far Muruga has made two straight Telugu films including Stalin with Megastar Chiranjeevi and Spyder with Mahesh Babu. And recently, he has narrated a story to Allu Arjun with whom he wanted to make a bilingual movie for a long time. After listening to the narration, Bunny is said to have asked for some time to give his final call on the project.
Earlier Allu Arjun got fascinated by Tamil directors like Linguswamy and has even announced the film. But with the script not appealing to his likes-dislikes, the actor has cancelled the project without any second thoughts. On that note, we have to say that a film with Murugadoss is possible only if the final narrative impresses him.

Puri Thinks Ramya Is Better Than Glamour Starlet
Director Puri Jagan is always famous for casting veteran heroines for the roles of mothers and then bringing out the best of glamour from young heroines. However, he has done what sounded like a great miscast with his latest film, but regretted it soon, though it costs a bomb to his pocket.
For his son Puri Akash’s upcoming film “Romantic”, actually Puri Jagan has brought in aged beauty Mandira Bedi, who is known for her extreme hotness. Actually there is no use of her bikini side as she is roped in to play the role of Akash’s mother in the movie. Director Anil Paduri has carved all the scenes with Mandira and wrapped the shot.
But after watching the rushes in the editing room, Puri is said to have felt that Mandira is okay as an eye-candy but failed to understand Telugu and emote accordingly. That made Charmi bring Ramya Krishna in her place and they have recently reshot the whole episodes. Known for her scintillating performance as Sivagami in the recent times, Ramya is said to have done a fab job for the role.
Maybe this is the first time Puri got a film (though as only a producer) where he has reshot the whole thing just for the sake of an actor.

Former heroine Vijayashanti is all set to make a comeback to the silver screen after a decade with Mahesh Babu’s upcoming release Sarileru Neekevvaru. Deverakonda Into Theatre Business
It looks like this production-distribution company likes to associate with as many heroes as possible when it comes to building theatres. After doing a partnership with Superstar Mahesh to build out AMB Cinemas, Asian Group is now partnering with young sensation Vijay Devarakonda for the same.
While building a theatre in Hyderabad is quite expensive and would be possible only he emerges as a top superstar, Vijay is now building a multiplex theatre at his hometown. Reports are coming that Asian Cinemas is now helping to build VIjay’s own theatre in Mahabubnagar town. The theatre’s look and feel will be dynamic to match the personality of the actor and will be completed very soon.
Many heroes wanted to own theatres but for the kind of not-so-lucrative investment it is, they have backed off. But then, Mahesh Babu did the unthinkable by owning a theatre, and it looks like even Vijay is following suit. In the meantime, we could remember that the young hero already ventured into clothing retail business with the brand ‘Rowdy’.

APSRTC: Neighbour’s envy, owners’ pride!
The merger of 51,000-odd employees of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) with the state government with effect from the New Year Day was a historic decision by the YSR Congress party government led by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Across the state, the RTC employees, who have now become the state government employees enjoying all the benefits of the latter, have celebrated this historic moment. At many places, the employees performed milk bath to the portrait of Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday.
The merger of RTC employees with the government has not been witnessed in any state in the country.
In the neighbouring Telangana state, the RTC employees have almost lost their jobs for putting forth their demand and going in for 55-day long strike. Definitely, the Telangana RTC employees must be envious of their counterparts in Andhra.
The YSRC government has not lost the opportunity to get the maximum publicity to this development by giving half page advertisements to the leading dailies including Eenadu and Sakshi on their front pages.
As usual, Andhra Jyothy was left out because of its anti-establishment stand and the latter did not hide its disgruntlement by publishing a negative report saying the RTC employees are not very much jubilant, but are skeptical about the merger, since they would be losing pension.
The payment of second instalment of Rs 2,000 to each farmer under YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme from this month is yet another interesting news that found space only in Sakshi and it was ignored by both Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy.
Instead, both the dailies dedicated huge space for the ongoing agitation by farmers of Amaravati, Naidu’s visit to some of the villages and blaming the people for defeating the TDP and the related comments and counter-comments by political leaders.
The announcement made by Indian Space Research Organisation chairman K Sivan on Mission Gaganyan in which it would send four astronauts into the space is yet another important news that was carried prominently by all the dailies. In fact, it was a flyer for Andhra Jyothy.
Sakshi has published a banner story on the state government’s proposal to make education completely job-oriented by introducing one-year internship programme at the undergraduate level. It would go a long way in improving the employable skills of the students soon after the graduation.
On the other hand, Andhra Jyothy’s banner story was completely negative – it is about the ruling YSR Congress party terrorizing the opposition parties, their leaders and sympathisers by foisting false cases on them, pressurizing them to join the ruling party and intimidating them to close down their business activities.
What is worse, it also wrote another negative story on how YSRC government has allegedly raised curtains for a major land mafia in Visakhapatnam for which certain lands were given exemption from prohibition of sale.
The slowdown in New Year revelry, introduction of one nation card-one country scheme and new rules of TRAI ordering telecast of 200 channels for Rs 130 a month be followed by cable operators were other news that made it to the front pages of the major dailies on Thursday.
Will Anil Ravipudi Join the Super League?
Anil Ravipudi’s work for ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ has been completed totally. The movie will be going for censor clearance in two days. So, he has no work left but waiting for the result of this Mahesh Babu’s biggie.
Will he join the list of top directors or will be stuck in the middle-range only? The answer lies in the result of “Sarileru Neekevvaru”.
Besides Rajamouli, Trivikram, Koratala Siva, Vamshi Paidipally and to some extent Surender Reddy, there are not many directors that top stars prefer to work with. These directors belong to the super league.
Harish Shankar has been struggling to get a green signal for his next film and Boyapati Srinu lost the craze after the disaster of ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’. So, the field is clear for Anil Ravipudi to grab the opportunity.
If the film becomes a massive blockbuster, Anil Ravipudi will join the above list. He has another advantage: he wraps up movies at a quick pace.
“Sarileru Neekevvaru” is his first-ever big star movie and also this will decide his range. So, he must be more anxious to know the result than the producers.
Kamma Tag: It is not about population Mr Naidu
Former chief minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu had come out with a new argument, to counter the Kamma-hate campaign in the State.During his meeting with the farmers at Yerrabalem village, one of the 29 capital villages, Chandrababu Naidu had come up with the village population data.
He said that Amaravati is being branded as Kamma city and hatred is being created attributing him to the caste.In Yerrabalem village, according to him, 8000 Kapus, 1500 Brahmins, 1400 Yadavas, 600 Gowdas, 1400 Padmasalis and more than 2000 are SCs and STs, while Kammas are just 100 people.
Every village in the capital were like this with more SC population, he said and alleged that the ruling YSR Congress was blaming it as Kamma city.
Well, Naidu might be right in terms of population. The population of the ruling castes – both Kamma and Reddy – is comparatively less. But the issue is who is ruling them?
Though in small number, the Kammas in Amaravati dominated every other caste in the last five years. They own major share of lands in the 29 villages and thus have strong financial base.With the TDP in power, the Kammas, while being minority in numbers, as Naidu claimed, did everything to prove that they are strong and they are the deciding factors.
They captured all the contracts and purchased more lands, thus giving the caste tag to the capital city, which is why every other caste united against the Kammas and continue the hate campaign.Hope Naidu will understand the reality and come to terms so that he could correct his party and the caste as well, before the hate campaign causes greater damage!
Casting Issues for VD’s Fighter
Vijay Deverakonda’s next film “Fighter” is all set to commence the shooting part later this month in Mumbai but it has now run into a problem.
Puri Jagannadh has roped in Janhvi Kapoor as the heroine but is waiting for final confirmation from her to make a formal announcement. Buzz is that Janhvi is now seeking some more time for the final agreement.
Apparently, Sridevi’s daughter is facing adjusting dates as one of her Bollywood biggies is getting delayed.
Sources have informed us that Puri Jagannadh is now also looking for an alternative for her in case she fails to accommodate dates.
Puri is also looking for a boxing champion to play the role of Vijay Deverakonda’s guru. Casting for these two characters has become a tough game for Puri Jagannadh.
“Fighter” will be made on a big scale in multiple languages. Karan Johar is said to have collaborated with Puri Jagannadh for this boxing drama.
Puri’s team has already landed in Mumbai finalizing the locations.
