To Prove As A Hero, Comedian Directs Himself Now
Time and again, some comedians are desperate to turn heroes and that proved costly to their careers. From Brahmi to Sunil, Ali to Saptagiri, many leading comedians of time have tried to become heroes but failed to do so. Chiranjeevi Acquires Lucifer Rights, Fans Stunned
Despite the fact that Telugu version of Malayalam movie “Lucifer” didn’t go well here, the film is a huge blockbuster in Mallu lands and it is also a super hit on Amazon Prime too. But then, Megastar Chiranjeevi is someone who never misses out any super hit film in other south languages that he wants to remake it.
Despite the fact that Thuppaki movie has released in Telugu already and flopped, Megastar Chiru turned it into “Khaidi No 150” and made sure that it becomes the first non-Baahubali film to get 100 crores ‘share’ from the box office. And now, he has acquired rights of ‘Lucifer’ that features superstar Mohan Lal in the lead and has another star hero Prithviraj directing it.
Today Prithviraj attended the pre0release event of Malayalam version Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and he revealed that Chiranjeevi sir has purchased the rights of Lucifer movie, and added that he regrets missing out a chance to star in Sye Raa. We have to see if Chiru will ask Prithviraj to direct the Telugu version or he gets his favourite people like VV Vinayak to do the job.
With Koratala Siva’s movie and Trivikram’s film in the pipeline, we have to see when will Chiranjeevi takes up Lucifer remake to the sets.
‘With 14 disastrous flops, I thought my career is over’

All set for launch of village secretariats in Andhra
Amaravati: The 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2 will usher in a new system of public administration in Andhra Pradesh with the launch of village and ward secretariats.
Fulfilling another major public promise, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to launch the new system aimed at providing services to people in rural and urban areas in a corruption-free and hassle-free manner.
Jagan Reddy, whose government recruited 1.26 lakh people for the posts in village and ward secretariats, on Monday handed over appointment letters to some of the selected candidates in Vijayawada.
A total of 11,158 village secretariats will come into existence across the state on October 2. Similarly 3,809 ward secretariats will start functioning in 110 municipalities.
The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government says the system will deliver transparent, accountable and corruption-free services to people and become a role model for the entire country.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said people in villages were looking for corruption-free delivery of services. He asked the selected candidates to bear in mind that they are doing this job to serve the people.
He said the village secretariats would provide over 500 services from January next year, and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the eligible within 72 hours of his/her request.
Jagan Mohan Reddy had promised to introduce the village secretariat system when people, during his 3,648 km padyatra across the state, brought to his notice the problems faced by them in drawing pensions, getting ration, caste and other certificates and availing other services.
To ensure the speedy governance and fixing the issues reported by common man, the village secretariats will be provided with all the infrastructure facilities including computers, printers, scanners, UPS with a two hour backup, lamination machines, mobile phones, biometric devices, and finger print and iris recognition devices. Internet connection will be provided by landline phone.
He claimed that his government created a new record by providing four lakh jobs in four months. He said 10-12 new jobs were provided to each village through the village secretariats.
Officials said 19.56 lakh candidates had appeared in the exams conducted early this month for 1,26,728 posts – 95,088 rural and 31,640 urban posts. The results were declared last week. The government claims this to be single biggest initiative of mass recruitment.
The government has also appointed nearly 2.8 lakh village and ward volunteers. The volunteers will be the face of governance and will strengthen the public delivery system of welfare schemes, officials said.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said providing jobs to so many people in such a short time in a transparent manner is the biggest achievement of the government. He claimed that providing permanent employment to nearly 1.40 lakh is a new record.
He also that exams will be conducted in January every year to fill the vacancies in all government departments.
The YSRCP government clarified that the volunteers will not be like ‘Janmaboomi’ committees of the previous Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government. It alleged that ‘Janmabhoomi’ committees were acting as decision-making bodies and were interacting with people on party lines, showing discrimination and indulging in corruption.
“Village volunteers are dedicated people who will be voluntarily working with service motive and are not the sanctioning authority but they are only part of the delivery mechanism of welfare schemes of the government,” the government said.
Every village volunteer will service 50 houses in rural areas and every ward volunteer will take care of 100 houses in urban areas.
“The volunteers will deliver the monthly ration to the doorsteps of the beneficiary as many had complained that they were losing one day’s wage if they were to stand in the queue at ration shops to get their monthly quota and the quality of rice.”
The Chief Minister announced that every village volunteer will be provided a smart phone from December to enable him to discharge his duties.

Ever since Surender Reddy’s Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara and Tamannaah starrer ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ promotions have begun, fans and reports have wondered why Chiranjeevi’s nephew Allu Arjun had seem conspicuously absent from them.
Some even speculated that the actor had lined up promotions for his upcoming film ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’ around the same time as this film releases.

‘ROMANTIC’ First Look: Intensely bold!

January Is Recruitment Month In AP
Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had made yet another mouth-watering offer for the unemployed youth in Andhra Pradesh.
The chief minister said that the government would take up new recruitments in every January starting from the January 2020, which is just three months away.
The existing vacancies in every government department would be placed for filling year after year, offering new jobs to the youth. Thus January would be treated as month of recruitment in the State.
Jaganmohan Reddy made this announcement while giving away appointment letters to the candidates of the village secretariats, as recruitment of 1.26 lakh government employees was completed in a record span of just one month.
The chief minister gave a good news to those who have appeared for this historic recruitment but could not make it. He asked them to wait for January 2020 for yet another round of recruitment.
Jaganmohan Reddy told the newly-recruited employees of the village secretariats to perform with a commitment to serve the people.
The village secretariats, which were formed for every village with 2000 population would offer over 45 government services to the people at their door step.
The village secretariats would start working from October 2, 2019 bring down the administration to the door steps of the people.
The chief minister also told the new employees to extend quality services to the people without corruption and discrimination.
The AP government would place its performance and the services for the social audit, as the services would be on display at every village.
How Can You Insult Women, Mr Naidu?
The other day, Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu made highly objectionable comments against village volunteers, alleging that they might turn out to be a security threat to womenfolk at homes.
He was referring to a report carried by by an yellow media house on a village volunteer allegedly making sexual overtures to a woman resulting in her suicide. Naidu alleged that security of women was at peril with this village volunteer system.
“Where is the security to womenfolk at home, when village volunteers go to them in the name of delivery of goods?” he asked.
But, the factual situation in the village volunteers’ system is different.
Out of 2,48,608 village/ward volunteers, 1,30,718 members are women. It means, 54 per cent of the total number of village/ward volunteers are women.
So, who was Naidu talking about? When so many women village volunteers are there in the system, how can they prove threat to security of women at home?
How can Naidu make such vulgar comments when the government was providing employment to nearly 2.50 lakh unemployed, majority of them being women?
Unfortunately, neither the YSR Congress party leaders nor the government highlighted this point of 54 per cent of the village volunteers being women.
Instead, the ruling party leaders confined themselves to making unparliamentary comments against Naidu and the TDP leaders.
They would have got more credibility in their attack on the TDP had they come out with statistics like this. But they never seem to learn!
CPI Turns Crucial In Huzurnagar By-Polls!
It looks like the Communist Party of India (CPI) leaders are planning to cash in on the demand for their party votes in the ensuing by-elections to Huzurnagar assembly seat, which were necessitated with the resignation of Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy on his election to Lok Sabha in May this year.
With a multi-cornered contest in the offing following the decision of the Telugu Desam Party and CPI (M) to enter the fray, every vote has become crucial in Huzurnagar by-elections.
Particularly, the CPI being strong in the area, its votes have become very important for the major contenders.
Realising that the contest is going to become tough, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders led by TRS secretary-general and Rajya Sabha member, Dr K Kesava Rao, Lok Sabha member Nama Nageswara Rao and state Planning Commission vice-chairman B. Vinod Kumar met CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy at Makhdoom Bhavan in Himayathnagar on Sunday.
Till the other day, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao was accusing the CPI of an insignificant party that has no existence.
Now, he sent party leaders to request the CPI leaders to forget the past and help the TRS win the Huzurnagar seat. It is not exactly known what the ruling party has offered to the CPI.
Meanwhile, on Monday, the Congress leaders met CPI leaders and sought their support in Huzurnagar by-poll. The Congress leaders urged the CPI to support Congress candidate Padmavathi.
“if the CPI does not want to support the Congress, they should at least remain neutral,” the Congress leaders said.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said the fear of imminent defeat in Huzurnagar Assembly by-election has forced TRS leaders to visit Makhdoom Bhavan to seek the CPI support.
He appealed to the CPI leaders not to support the TRS and instead support the Congress candidate, Padmavathi Reddy, to teach a fitting lesson to anti-people TRS government.

Sye Raa is set for a spectacular first day at the box office. Sky is the limit if the film opens to decent word of mouth with this kind of hype.
3) Dream Girl: Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl is unstoppable at the ticket windows as it continues to exceed expectations. Third weekend numbers are an indication to how big a success it is.
The film is now poised to become the highest grossing movie in the rising superstar’s career.
4) Gang Leader: Nani’s Gang Leader couldn’t become a safe venture in spite of being the only notable Telugu film in theaters besides Valmiki.
It is the third flop for Nani among his last four releases.
5) Rama Chakkani Seetha: This small film didn’t get noticed due to lack of proper promotions. But it got better reviews compared to other Friday releases.
