Hero Gopichand said he will not forget the support and concern of fans when he met with an accident while shooting for ‘Chanakya.’ The film’s pre-release event was held in Vizag on Sunday and Gopichand’s speech was quite energetic.

“I hope you all liked the teaser and trailer. ‘Chanakya’ is packed terrific action episodes and dialogues and you’ll will certainly like them. I thank my director, music composers and all the technicians who have worked for the film,” said Gopichand.

Adding he said, “An unfortunate incident happened during the shoot and I got many messages from fans regarding their concern. I would like to thank each one of them though I could not message each one of them.”

“All I can say is, I will return fans’ love with Chanakya’ movie which is releasing on October 5th,” concluded Gopichand.

Director Thiru assured that ‘Chanakya’ will be one of the best films in Gopichand’s career. “After the release, we will definitely again come to Vizag and watch the film with fans,” summed up Thiru.

Telangana: In a shameful incident, a poultry farm owner along with his three friends gang-raped a tribal woman for three days after she demanded her wages. The incident occurred at Rachakonda area of Telangana on the night of September 18.

The sexual assault went on for three days till September 21. Also, the woman’s husband was physically assaulted and kept hostage in an adjacent another room by the accused. The prime accused has been identified as Prasad Reddy.

According to a report, the victims managed to flee from the captivity and informed the police about the incident about a week later. The husband and wife are said to be migrant labourers from Nagarkurnool district. They were employed by Prasad Reddy in his poultry farm on a combined salary of Rs 15,000.

The brutality was inflicted on the couple after the two demanded their pending wages from the poultry farm owner.

Reddy then asked the couple to help him in his friend’s poultry farm as he had faced some emergency.

He then took the couple in his car and reached a building where the two were separated. The woman was then raped repeatedly by the accused in a room, while his husband was assaulted by the men in another room.

On September 21, the couple managed to flee from the captivity but again reached Prasad Reddy’s poultry farm to seek their wages. The accused then allegedly threatened the couple not to reveal anything to police or face death.

However, on September 26, the couple managed to file a First Information Report (FIR) with Pahadi Shareef police station. The woman has suffered injury marks all over her body due to sexual and physical assault.

“The woman has undergone a medical test and we are awaiting results,” the report quoted Sunpreet Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Rachakonda.

The police have booked the accused under various sections of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. All the four accused are still absconding.

Suriya’s craze has hit the nadir in Telugu states. With his good looks and great acting skills, he enjoyed a cult fan following in Telugu states till a couple of years ago but now it has completely gone. “Bandobast” which released last week had turned out to be a complete disaster.

The film’s first-week share is mere Rs 1.75 Cr. “Bandobast” was given a huge number of screens in Telugu states but the share has not even crossed Rs 2 Cr in seven days. This is a shameful amount. It is like Nagarjuna’s “Officer”. Such a low collection.

Even his previous dud “NGK” had collected a lot better. The box-office performance of “Bandobast” proves the fact that Suriya has completely lost his market in Telugu with his wrong choice of films.

He is not picking up the scripts that would appeal to all sections of audiences. He seems to be in total confusion about the selection of stories. It is high time he should hire creative consultants.

Sye Raa continues to impress with each of its promos. The video song of Sye Raa is out now and like its trailers it is a visual feast with high on emotions showing the gigantic scale of the film.

The song was shot on Tamanna and Nayanthara who played the wives characters of Narasimha Reddy in Sye Raa. The visuals of Narasimha Reddy taking on the British officers and slaying British soldiers are shown while both the female leads sing his praises and inspire ‘Renati Veerulu’.

Cinematography is stunning as Ratnavelu outclasses his previous works. Choreography is so brilliant that it is hard to take your eyes off the screen while watching the video. Battle scenes are visually stunning as the Megastar shows excellent reflexes at his age.

The video song will take the expectations on the film much higher and even attract many more eyeballs from other languages as well.

Sye Raa is coming out on October 2nd in multiple languages in a grand way. The hype is now at an all time high with promotions peaking in the final week before its theatrical release.
