Children of 5-11 Yrs Use 15% of Internet In India!

Share

Today’s world has children among the most active internet users and in India, children are inevitably addicted to YouTube, online games, online chat rooms and social media. With many threats like cyberbullying, porn, scams, inappropriate content, it is a big concern to parents today on how to stop children using too much of internet.

The Internet and Mobile Association of India stated that more than 66 million children, aged between 5-11, are using 15% of internet active user base in India. When IAMAI released a report titled ‘India Internet 2019′ in March this year, it was reported that the country had 451 million internet users from India, only after China.

Out of 451 million, 385 million are of the age group 12 to 29 and now 66 million are of 5-11 years, who are using the internet from families’ devices. Talking about female internet users, Kerala, Delhi and Tamil Nadu stands first with high female users and it has a very small number overall, showing patriarchal trait intact in rural areas.

Among cities, Mumbai with 11.7 million and Delhi with 11.2 million users have topped the list. Also, urban areas have 72 % of users ie, 139 million and rural areas have 57% i.e, 109 million internet users. With the internet reaching every corner of the world, the statistics of children between 5-11 age group has come as a shocking percentage as not every child may look up to healthy information on the internet.

HYD: Heavy rains kill a fitness trainer and a priest

Share

Hyderabad-based fitness trainer, Adam Mark Jordon, died after he got electrocuted during heavy rains in the city. The incident took place in Madhapur and this 23-year-old gym instructor fell as a climate victim, leaving his family members in perpetual grief.

Yesterday night, Adam was hurriedly returning to his hostel when heavy rains lashed the city and he stepped on an iron rod, coming into contact with a live wire, just before his hostel gate. He died on the spot. Later, his body was shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.

Adam Jordan used to stay in Manikanta’s men’s hostel in Serilingampally and as per cops, the water clogged in front of his hostel gate and Adam stepped down his foot on an iron rod from his cycle. This incident took place at 11.30 pm. Police registered a case on the contractor who placed the rod on road under Section 304 A (causing death by negligence) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Another similar case happened in Chaitanyapuri, claiming a 43-year-old priest life, who fell into the open sewer and died. The priest, PremKumar Shastry, reportedly could not see the open sewer due to heavy rains. Premkumar came to Chaitankya puri along with his nephew Ramakrishna Shastry for some work and the two parked their vehicle in peddamberpet. Both of them fell into Nala, but Ramakrishna managed to escape. However, Premkumar lost his life at around 11.40 pm. His body was found around 3.00 pm

#SyeRaa Censor Certificate: Here Is A Twist Being Heard

Share

Apparently there was news almost four days ago that ‘Sye Raa’ movie got censored with U/A without any cuts. And the news is very official that almost everyone boasted about it. But suddenly, the makers of the film told in Court that movie was not censored much earlier and only it was censored other day.

We hear that the makers of the film haven’t taken the Censor Certificate as they want few changes to be done to the film with respect to some legal issues. Apparently the disclaimer that the film is a work of fiction that is based on stories heard in the public domain, and that various cinematic liberties were taken, was added to the film now. Also, they stopped calling it as the first-ever fight for freedom for some other reasons.

With the disclaimer added and some other words muted, the film is now certified U/A with all the cuts being dialogue mutings and some changed words in subtitles. One wonders if Ram Charan had to bend down by the legal pressure created by a section of Uyyalawada family.

#BiggBoss3: Rain Song Brings Best Of Sreemukhi

Share

One of the talented contestants #BiggBoss3 is Sreemukhi and from some weeks, she is actually keeping silent as host Nagarjuna asked her to tone down her voice. But with Nag and Varun Tej clarifying that they want to see the firecracker side of her always, she’s back to her game.

Other day during the ‘bricks’ task, Sreemukhi did very smartly by hiding bricks inside her saree and ferried them to the construction. Later one, when it is actually raining cats and dogs, she requested Big Boss to play some songs to which Ravi also joined the chorus. As the songs are played, Sreemukhi showcased her talents.

From Iddarammayilatho’s Top Lechipoddi song to Rangasthalam’s Jigelu Rani song, to Geetha Govindam’s Inkem Inkem Kavale song, Bigg Boss played a couple of hit numbers. Sreemukhi is quick to display the signature move of those songs and she’s better than real-life choreographer Baba Bhaskar in brining out those moves to life.

Later in the pellichoopulu task as well she just rocked the show with her punches. Later Sreemukhi and Ravi won the bricks task, thereby becoming contestants of the captaincy task.

Nayanthara’s Destination Wedding In December?

Share

The romantic relationship of Lady Superstar Nayanthara and her director beau Vignesh Shivan has been a trending topic for the last few years. The couple fell in love with each other on the sets of their Tamil film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in 2015. They have been going strong and deep ever since.

Now, Kollywood rumourmills are abuzz with a hot gossip that Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan will be tying the knot with each other in December this year. Apparently, the wedding will be a destination one and the venue is yet to be disclosed. Nayan belongs to an orthodox Malayali Christian family, while Vignesh is a traditional Hindu Tamilian.

For the last four years, there have been numerous speculations about Nayan’s wedding with Vignesh. In fact, Kollywood media circles went on to report a couple of times that Nayan and Vignesh had a secret engagement. But Nayan’s spokesperson had promptly denied the reports on both the occasions.

#BiggBoss3: Ali’s Entry Saddened Couple Of Inmates?

Share

Finally Bigg Boss announced that Ali Reza is being inducted into the house as a ‘wild card’ entry. There is no mentioning that he’s back to house or he is welcomed again but simply put that he is a new wild card entry. So what are the reactions like inside the house?

Siva Jyothy put herself into tears again, this time crying happily, with the arrival of Ali Reza. Earlier when this guy left the house, she wept continuously the whole night and by the day her eyes got swollen like balloons. Even Ali acknowledged the real love of Siva Jyothy towards him.

Secondly, we have Sreemukhi who is visibly animated and genuinely happy for the re-entry of Ali. If you could remember, when Ali got evicted, she shouted that she cannot believe that and asked Bigg Boss to announce that he’s just joking. She’s very happy with Ali’s arrival now.

And the surprise pick of the pack is Punarnavi who expressed super happiness over Ali’s comeback though she’s the one who has more tiffs with him. It looked like she wants to get close to Ali as he came from outside and any information he gives would be useful.

But both Varun Sandesh and Rahul Sipligunj are quite cool and sat in their places when they welcomed Ali. Seems like they are not really happy with his coming back as they know that he’s a strong contestant who could give them the right competition.

Chiru Wants Rajini, Kamal To Stay Away From Politics

Share

Megastar Chiranjeevi, who’s biggest star down South, had left films and entered into politics. But, his political career did not go the way he wanted to. After merging Praja Rajyam Party in Congress, Chiranjeevi became union minister for Tourism. Later, he began to distance himself from politics and concentrated on movies.

Now that he is coming up with a biographical film on Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the actor recently gave an interview to Tamil newspaper ‘Anand Vikatan’. In his interview, Chiru made some interesting comments on Politics and he had an important suggestion for his cinema friends Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. ‘Politics totally runs on money and I feel they should not enter politics,’ said Chiru by adding that ‘even if they (Rajini and Kamal) want to fight for people honestly, the politics here will not allow them to emerge big’. Chiranjeevi also recalled how he lost in his own constituency and while briefing it, he said ‘I was the top star before foraying into politics, but opponents have shelled out many crores to defeat me, and same thing has happened with Pawan Kalyan too.’

It is known that Kamal’s Makkal Needhi Maiam party has contested in recent Lok Sabha polls in Tamil Nadu, but didn’t win any seat. Whereas, Rajinikanth is yet to announce his party.

Meet the Sye Raa Stylist, Uthara Menon

Share

Uthara Menon, sister of noted filmmaker Gautham Menon, is currently working as a stylist for the magnum opus Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Uthara is a former model in Chennai, having walked on-ramp at the tender age of 11 years. She later, transformed into a renowned stylist and worked with many bigwigs in Chennai.

Uthara said in an interview that having a passionate dream isn’t enough to meet triumph. One must have a burning desire to reach their dreams. She claimed that knowing the right purpose and addressing her long term goals has what made her success today. Working in a big film like Sye Raa is not a joke and my struggle all these years made me stand where I am today, said Uthara.

For Sye Raa, Uthara made sedulous efforts by going to museums, reading historic books, architectural temples and particularly getting expertise in Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy’s appearance like how his turban, shawl and hairstyle should be. She, along with production director, Rajeevan and concept director had to collaborate for nearly six months and work on the precise look by drawing more than thousands of sketches. She made sure to have lead character’s costume include props integral to the story. She had insight into the character and work with the production staff to determine the direction of the performance visually.

Her first breakthrough was Tamil film Yennai Aarindhal starring Ajith. Her brother Gautham Menon, who was the director of the film, was impressed with her work and gave her the opportunity to style his actors. In Telugu, Uthara worked effortlessly for Manam, Sailaja Reddy Alludu, Gang leader and a few more. However, director Surender Reddy was highly impressed by her marvellous work and gave her a chance to work in Sye Raa.

Uthara revealed that costumer designer Sushmita Konidela and Anju Modi (who designed for Bajirao Mastani), worked along with her in sketching detailed drawings of each character for the film and started their respective works. She also made sure to not only fit the characters but also enhance the whole feeling of the scenes too. It is highly laudable to know how Uthara worked hard for the film only to make her efforts fully embody the given characters.

Samantha Rejoicing In Art, Pet Dog And Fashion

Share

If the queen bee’s Instagram stories are anything to go by, then we could easily derive how she’s enjoying her life right now. While shooting for 96 remake on one side, it looks like Samantha Akkineni is chilling out and rejoicing with her favourite stuff on the other side.

Meanwhile, Samantha is seen enjoying the artworks gifted by her fans to her. One work is done entirely by writing the words Samantha have impressed her big time. She even collected the final work of the artist along with her husband Chaitanya. At the same time, Sam is said to be spending a lot of time with their pet dog Hash Akkineni as she shards a lot of videos of him.

And back in the business, she’s sharing her fashionable pictures from a shoot where she appeared super sexy as usual. Also, her lunch poses with her stylist and makeup artist also sounded pretty impressive along with the some of the protein meal and breakfast details she shared.

Seems like Samantha is completely rejoicing in all these things as she looks forward to coming up with good films at the box office.

#BiggBoss3: Punarnavi Provokes Rahul To The Core

Share

Rather playing their own game, some contestants look forward to provoking others inside the house. Like how Deepthi used to pit all the housemates against Kaushal in last year’s Bigg Boss, it looks like Punarnavi took that mantle in the third season.

As Rahul Sipligunj and Varun Sandesh are at loggerheads after an argument broke out between them during bricks task (as part of Rich Mother task), Punarnavi took the chance to instigate people and this time she did it with her good friend Rahul only. She tried to say how Vithika’s bad behaviour and Varun’s arrogant avatar have come out to push Rahul into a soup. She commented that Sreemukhi is enjoying this scene before adding that a big group got disturbed by Varun’s acts.

Provoked by all these comments, Rahul stated that even if he has to speak with Varun Sandesh again, that will be only after discussing that earlier clash and sorting out the accusations made by Varun in reference to Himaja’s episode.

“In front of everyone, Varun addressed me ‘Punarnavi Bhupalam’ and told me to keep away from the discussion” says Punarnavi, to further annoy Rahul and make him put all his ammunition against Varun Sandesh.

ABN Radhakrishna’s drama of ‘paid complaints’ to TRAI, TDSAT!

Share

ABN Andhrajyohty owner Vemuri Radhakrishna has been trying all kinds of ‘tricks’ to restore his ABN Channel in Andhra Pradesh.

The ABN news channel has been stopped in Andhra Pradesh since September 9.

Cable operators and MSOs have disconnected ABN channel without citing any reason.

Radhakrishna alleges that it was done on the directions of AP CM YS Jagan.

Radhakrishna is trying to give ‘build up’ as if all hell is breaking loose if people do not watch ABN channel.

He is trying to give an impression that AP people are deprived of ‘news’ after ABN was stopped.

However, there has been no response from general public against ban on ABN channel.

With this, Radhakrishna launched ‘artificial agitation programmes’ by involving some paid stringers in districts who do not get salary from media organisations for months.

These so-called journos (precisely stringers who get salary based on ‘line account’ of news reports they give) took to streets under the guise of journalists and raising slogans that Jagan has killed ‘press freedom’ in AP by banning ABN.

This paid stringers agitations could not sustain for long. Now Radhakrishna started yet another ‘paid drama’ to restore his channel.

He engaged some paid persons to lodge thousands of online complaints with TDSAT and TRAI to give an impression that as if thousands of people in AP are demanding restoration of ABN channel.

Andhra Jyothy has been desperately publishing all these ‘paid dramas’ prominently in first page headlines every day but no one is taking them seriously.

It’s better Radhakrishna realises that artificial agiations and paid dramas will not work anyone in the present circumstances when social media is active and exposes everyone who indulge in irregularities.

Radhakrishna might hate Jagan. He cannot dictate people to hate Jagan because he also hates him.

He cannot expect people to believe whatever trash shown on his TV or printed in his newspaper everyday just because he hates Jagan and loves Chandrababu.

He cannot force people to love Chandrababu and support TDP just because he projects them in good light in his media.

Role of journalists emerge in MP sex scandal

Share

Bhopal: Names of several Bhopal-based journalists have emerged in the high-profile honey-trap and extortion racket of Madhya Pradesh.

The journalists allegedly having a role in the case, include a resident editor of a Hindi newspaper, a cameraman of a news channel and an owner of a regional satellite TV channel.

The journalists were apparently negotiating deals with bureaucrats and honey-trap kingpin Shweta Jain, acting as key conduits, sources said.

On the involvement of journalists in the case, spokesperson for ruling Congress in the state K.K. Mishra said whoever is involved in the scandal would be booked as soon as evidence is gathered by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

Mishra, considered close to Chief Minister Kamal Nath, was the first to highlight the case.

“As far as I know, a few journalists, close to bureaucrats, negotiated deals on behalf of the officials. They were not directly involved with the accused, arrested in the case,” said Mishra.

Earlier, BJP General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya alleged that he has specific information about three-four journalists who were involved in the blackmailing scandal.

The SIT has not yet denied Vijarvargiya’s allegation about the involvement of journalists in a case which has rocked the central Indian state.

After bureaucrats and politicians, the alleged involvement of journalists in the scandal has added more hype to the case, generating curiosity about the real identities of the accomplices in the crime.

On the role of a few journalists in the scandal, editor-in-chief of a prominent Hindi daily published from Indore, Hemant Sharma said for years a small group of journalists in the state capital have been found engaged in striking such shady deals.

“Actually it is a small bunch of so-called journalists, who move in the corridors of power with the sole purpose of extorting money from bureaucrats or politicians involved in corrupt practices. However, as of now, SIT has not named anyone (journalist). I can only say that Shweta and Aarti, used a few journalists in negotiating deals with the bureaucrats or ministers,” said Hemant Sharma.

Sources in the SIT revealed to IANS that the investigation at present is focussed on ascertaining the role of bureaucrats and other persons(politicians) holding important positions in the government.

“The mastermind of the racket, Shweta Jain, her husband Swapnil Jain, and aide Aarti Dayal have already been arrested. During their interrogation, it came to light that people in power, honeytrapped by Shweta and Aarti, have funded their NGOs.

Besides, lucrative government contracts were also offered to the Jains in lieu of seeking sexual favours.

“If documents of such contracts are traced, we will definitely take action against government servants,” said an MP police officer, adding, that “sex-scandal was going on in Bhopal for more than 7-8 years.”

Meanwhile, SIT chief Sanjeev Shami told media persons that if evidence suggests that bureaucrats have misused their office in obliging sex-scandal operators, then they will be booked.

Shami, an ADG rank IPS officer of MP cadre, had allegedly put together various teams and assigned them specific tasks. One of the most important tasks was to identify government contracts allotted by bureaucrats or Ministers to the ring leader of sex-scandal.

Once the police establish the misuse of official powers, cases will be registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act against officials and politicians, Shami said.
