Good or bad, Riteish will always have Genelia’s heart

Mumbai: Actress Genelia D’souza Deshmukh has reacted to the “Marjaavaan” trailer featuring her husband Riteish Deshmukh and said good or bad he will always have her heart.

Riteish shared the trailer of his upcoming film on Twitter on Thursday and captioned it: “Tu naayak toh main khalnaayak, tu shaana toh main DEDH shaana! #MarjaavaanTrailer out now.”

To which, Genelia replied: “… N @Riteishd… Good or bad you will always have my heart… Hai main #Marjaavaan.”

Riteish will be portraying a vertically-challenged antagonist in “Marjaavaan”.

Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on November 22 but will now be released on November 8. The film also stars Sidharth Malhotra, Rakul Preet Singh and Tara Sutaria.

First song from Ala Vaikunthapuramulo is Samaja…

Trivikram and Allu Arjun’s “Ala Vaikunthapuramulo” is slated for release on Jan 12, 2020.

Three and a half months before the movie’s release date, the team is commencing its musical promotions.

Setting a new trend, the film’s first song will be out shortly. The song goes with the lyrics “Samaja Vara Gamana” that was penned by Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry.

This is not a promotional video song. The actual song from the film is going to be released.

The video will consist of singers crooning the song for the movie. Instead of lyrical video, they are going to release the video of singers recording the song for the movie. Thus the first song will be out in a couple of days.

“Ala Vaikunthapuramulo” stars Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde as the lead pair. Produced by S Radhakrishna and Allu Aravind, the film has music by Thaman.

French team leader is Jagan’s biz partner?

Telugu Desam Party led by former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu might be down and out after its humiliating defeat in the assembly elections, but its social media team appears to be still very active in taking on the YSRC government led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

For the last two days, a business delegation from France has been in Amaravati holding a series of talks with the state government to work out various business deals.

The 39-member delegation led by Guy Sidos, Chairman and CEO, VICAT Building Materials held talks with industries minister Mekapati Gautam Reddy and other officials on Wednesday and had a detailed meeting with Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday.

The delegates evinced interest in diverse sectors smart systems, energy, conservation, food processing and various infrastructure projects.

“The main interest of French delegation is to find investment opportunities in AP,” an official release said, adding that the delegates wanted to make AP their preferred destination in India.

Now, the pro-TDP social media team worked overtime to find out who were all there in the French delegation and especially, the background of Guy Sidos, Chairman and CEO, VICAT, who led the delegation.

And they found that Vicat was the same company which had acquired 51 per cent share in Jagan’s family business concern Bharati Cements in 2010.

“So, Vicat is a business partner of Jagan. When this company wants to invest in Andhra Pradesh, it would clearly indicate that it is indirectly partnering with Jagan’s firms,” says a comment that is doing rounds in the social media.

It said Jagan is roping in his own business partners to promote his own business interests but giving a build-up that he is developing industries in the state, the comment said.

Let us see how the YSRC will react to the same!

First Week Collections: Gaddhalakonda Ganesh

Harish Shankar directed “Gaddhalakonda Ganesh” has a good first week. It enjoyed a superb first-weekend run but it witnessed a drop from day 5 due to rains. However, it is still looking at a good total in its first week.

With more than Rs 17 Cr haul in its first week from AP and Telangana, this is a very big number for a Varun Tej starrer movie.

It is also clear testimony to the kind of hold that it has enjoyed in the first week especially most of the medium-budgeted movies are seeing a total drop after the first weekend.

Though the film had a dismal performance at the USA box-office with approximate $385k in the first week, its overall collection in Telugu states is satisfactory.

Most of the areas will break-even this weekend if it shows some solid strength.

The Varun Tej and Pooja Hegde starrer clicked with the masses for its entertainment and glamour of Pooja Hegde.

Puri to Announce Balayya’s Film?

Puri Jagannadh turns 53 this Saturday. His producer Charmee has planned huge celebrations.

She already gifted him with a luxury car. Now, she is releasing “iSmart Shankar” again this Friday. This film is re-releasing for three days marking his birthday as this has brought him back in the top league.

This will not be the only surprise on his birthday. Charmee is planning to announce another film on the eve of his birthday on their banners Touring Talkies and Puri Connects. However, to do so they need permission from Nandamuri Balakrishna.

Puri has been dying to reunite with Balakrishna. “Paisa Vasool”, their previous collaboration didn’t become a hit. So, he wants to give a hit to Balakrishna as he has now gained “form”.

Balakrishna recently gave a nod to director Boyapati’s film and this will commence its shoot from December. It has to be seen whether Balayya agrees for Puri’s movie at this moment.

In any case, Puri Jagannadh can only take up Balakrishna’s film after finishing “Fighter” with Vijay Deverakonda. “Fighter” will commence the shoot from January and will be readied for a summer release.

Puri is planning to direct Balakrishna in the second half of 2020.

Chiranjeevi Tells Rajinikanth Not to Step in Politics

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s political stint was a flop. He was ruling the movie industry as the number one hero when he had floated the Praja Rajyam party in 2008.

He thought that he would become Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh given his popularity much like NTR became in 1983. But Chiranjeevi had seen humiliating defeat.

He later merged his party into Congress and has returned to films. Chiranjeevi is sticking to the film world and enjoying the superstar status again.

As he had a bad experience in the political arena, the megastar is also telling Superstar Rajinikanth not to contest the polls and continue doing films.

As part of the promotion of the Tamil version of “Sye Raa”, Chiranjeevi gave a lengthy interview to popular Tamil Magazine Ananda Vikatan.

When he was asked about Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan’s political party already contested in the recent Lok Sabha polls and didn’t win a single seat.

“This is a hard fact. Artistes are sensitive persons. Politics is not our cup of tea. I suggest Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan enjoy their great work in films. They are legends and should not step into this tough world of politics,” he said.

Rajinikanth is yet to float political party but he has plans of contesting in Tamilnadu Assembly elections that scheduled to be held in 2021.

Though there is no confirmation officially about #Prabhas20, it looks like gossips and social media posts have sold a title to Prabhas regarding his next flick. Like we know already, Prabhas is working with director Radhakrishna for a vintage love story that will be shot in Europe and India. Here’s a snippet about it.

After the disastrous show of Saaho in Telugu states, Prabhas has gone for a break and asked his next film’s director to re-work on the script.

In the meantime, this news has caught the eye of media and they are writing various stories including that this film is titled “Jaan”. That’s an interesting title for a love story, but Prabhas is heard to be asking to come up with more suitable titles.

Produced by UV Creations, this film has Pooja Hegde playing the lead while Jagapathi Babu is signed as the antagonist of the film.

Social Media Arrests, Whodunit First?

For the last few days, Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been crying from the roof tops over the alleged witch-hunting his party leaders and social media activists associated with his party.

He even wrote a letter to Andhra Pradesh director general of police Gautam Sawang, to this effect, alleging that the YSRC government, with the help of the police, was indulging in witch-hunt of the TDP’s social media activists.

Naidu alleged that the police were arresting only TDP social media activists and not taking the complaints against the ruling YSR Congress activists.

It is an open secret that the political parties have been using the social media platforms to run down one another in public.

Hate posts, heavy trolling and abusive comments among the supporters of various political parties have become the order of the day and no political party is an except to this ugly malice.

There were at least half-a-dozen arrests of the social media activists in the last three-and-a-half months, starting with a small-time actor Sekhar Chowdary from Tenali, who posted a video using filthy and objectionable language at chief minister and irrigation minister.

But what Naidu has forgotten that the previous TDP government headed by him, too, resorted to witch-hunt of social media activists supporting the YSRC in the past.

The arrest of YSRC activist Ravi Kiran Inturi, for posting objectionable caricatures of Naidu and Lokesh and his grilling at Thullur police staton is still fresh in the minds of the people.

There were several such arrests during the TDP regime where the YSR Congress social media activists were arrested and jailed.

Then, Naidu and his party leaders used to claim that they were weeding out unhealthy trends in the social media and trying to improve the system.

Now, they are facing the same music in the hands of YSR Congress party and the Jagan government.

Surprisingly, Chandrababu Naidu who wanted a check on the social media when he was the chief minister, is now blaming the same measure by his successor in the government.

What a shame?

Pooja Hegde Lines Up Bollywood Biggie

At present, Pooja Hegde is virtually ruling the roost in Tollywood. Having seen a series of successes, she has become the first choice of the film makers in the industry.

All big star movies are landing in her kitty. Adding more hype to her profile, she has now readied a big Bollywood movie that has stellar star cast.

Of course, Pooja Hegde is not a new face in Bollywood. She has already done a big movie with Hrithik Roshan. She will next be seen as one of the female protagonists in the franchise movie “Housefull 4.”

Her first look from the film has been released and she is looking stunning in these posters. She is banking heavily on this film to get craze in Bollywood.

In Tollywood, she has a film with Prabhas which is tentatively titled “Jaanu” and she is currently shooting with Allu Arjun for director Trivikram’s romantic drama “Ala Vaikunthapurammulo.”

She has also begun shooting for director Bommarillu Bhaskar’s new movie starring Akhil Akkineni.

If reports are to be believed, with the success of “Valmiki” she has now hiked remuneration for Tollywood assignments. She is truly going places!

What is legal, the building or the notice?

The most interesting topic of discussion these days in Andhra Pradesh is the likely demolition of Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s rented bungalow on the banks of Krishshna river at Vundavall in Amaravati.

The subject has two points: whether or not the house is an illegal construction and whether or not it is justified to demolish the house to throw Naidu on the roads.

There is no doubt that the structure where Naidu has been staying is illegal, as it was identified, along with 24 others, as an unauthorised construction by the TDP government, soon after it came to power.

In fact, the TDP government issued notices to these buildings in early 2015, asking the owners to vacate them and demolish the same.

But soon after Naidu shifted lock, stock and barrel from Hyderabad to Vijayawada to run the administration from Amaravati, things took a different turn.

For reasons known only to Naidu, he chose the same illegal structure as his official bungalow in late 2015 and legalised it, saying it is a government building.

The owner of the building Lingamaneni Ramesh also did not make any claim on the same, as he got another big chunk of land closer to Amaravati getting exemption from land pooling.

The present YSR Congress government, making use of the same notices issued by the TDP government prior to 2015, to prove that Naidu’s house and others on the river banks are illegal. And so, it gave fresh demolition notices under APCRDA act.

Now, Lingamaneni has started claiming it as his own building and said he got all the permissions for the same. He says the fresh demolition notices are illegal.

Naidu, instead of vacating the disputed structure is trying to gain maximum mileage saying he is being hounded out by the Jagan government.

It is for the high court to decide whether Naidu’s residence is illegal or the notice is illegal.

Kamma officer behind Naidu to defame Jagan!

The yellow media represented by Kamma community is raising a hue and cry over grama secretariat recruitment every day for the past one week saying that question papers have been leaked to ensure only YSRCP supporters corner these jobs.

However, the yellow media could not produce any solid evidence to prove paper leakage so far except writing gossips and rumours.

Based on these fake reports, TDP chief and former AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu, his son Lokesh and other TDP leaders are levelling wild allegations against AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy and YSRCP government on question paper leakage.

Jagan took serious view of the issue and asked intelligence department to find out who is conspiring to defame him and YSRCP government by levelling false charges over question paper leakage.

Shockingly, it was found that AP Public Service Commission chairman P Uday Bhaskar, who was appointed by Chandrababu Naidu in November 2016 is also part of the conspiracy to defame Jagan and YSRCP government by giving ‘false leaks’ on question paper leakage issue.

Udaya Bhaskar, who is also a Kamma, is said to be helping Naidu and TDP to defame Jagan and showing his gratitude to Naidu for appointing him as chairman.

However, Jagan is helpless in initiating action against APPSC chairman.

Because it’s a constitutional post and only President of India has the power to sack him. The tenure of APPSC chairman is for six years.

Even the President can sack APPSC chairman only after Supreme Court conducts an inquiry and recommends removal to President.

This is a long and tough process. So Jagan has to wait for present APPSC chairman’s term to end in November 2022 and appoint a new one in his place.
