Allu Arjun Honors Father at Cinema Launch

The grand inauguration of Allu Cinemas (AAA Cinemas) in Kokapet, Hyderabad, turned into a memorable and prestigious event. The multiplex, built with state-of-the-art technology and world-class facilities, marks a significant milestone for the Allu family and the Telugu film industry.
During the event, Icon Star Allu Arjun delivered an emotional speech that not only touched the hearts of fans but also highlighted the visionary leadership of his father, noted producer Allu Aravind. Addressing Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy affectionately as “Revanth Anna,” Allu Arjun expressed gratitude for understanding their passion and supporting the project.
Speaking about his father, Allu Arjun became emotional and said that Aravind is not just a producer but someone he deeply reveres. He explained that the construction of the multiplex was not merely a business venture but a passionate effort to give something meaningful back to the film industry that had given their family immense respect and recognition. According to him, the creation of Allu Cinemas is driven more by love for cinema than by commercial real-estate interests.
Allu Arjun also described his father as a “technology pioneer” in the Telugu film industry and shared several interesting insights about his contributions. He recalled that when the industry was still familiar only with stereo sound, Aravind introduced 5.1 surround sound through the film Master, setting a new benchmark in cinematic technology.
He further noted that Aravind had the foresight to recognize the global shift toward digital projection even when films were still widely screened using traditional film reels. Aravind played a key role in helping theatres across the Telugu states transition to digital systems, which is why Allu Arjun said he could easily be called the “Father of the Digital Era” in the Telugu film industry.
Allu Arjun also praised his father’s vision in launching Aha, the first dedicated regional OTT platform for Telugu audiences. Through this platform, Aravind expanded entertainment beyond theatres and brought new opportunities for digital content.
Continuing that technological vision, the newly opened Allu Cinemas features one of the largest Dolby Vision screens in Asia, bringing a premium cinematic experience to Hyderabad and setting a new benchmark for theatres in the region.
In his concluding remarks, Allu Arjun promised to carry forward the legacy created by his father with pride. He also thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallikarjun Bhatti Vikramarka, and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy for supporting their vision.
Allu Arjun ended his speech by expressing his ambition to help place Hyderabad firmly on the global entertainment map through world-class cinematic experiences like Allu Cinemas.
Allu Aravind Gets Emotional at Allu Cinemas Launch

A new multiplex, Allu Cinemas, has been launched with modern facilities in Kokapet, Hyderabad. The theatre was inaugurated by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in a grand ceremony attended by several prominent personalities from the film industry.
During the event, noted producer Allu Aravind became emotional while recalling the journey of his family in the film industry. He remembered his father, legendary comedian Allu Ramalingaiah, and the strong foundation he laid for their family decades ago.
Aravind said that nearly fifty years ago, the film industry did not enjoy the respect it does today. At a time when many people looked down upon cinema as a profession, his father encouraged him to pursue a career in the field with confidence. According to Aravind, it was his father’s belief that hard work would eventually bring recognition that gave him the courage to continue in the industry and become a successful producer.
He also shared an interesting memory during his speech. Ramalingaiah not only supported his career but also strengthened the family’s bond with the film industry by arranging the marriage of his daughter with then rising actor Chiranjeevi. Aravind said that this decision later brought the Allu and Mega families even closer, playing an important role in shaping their strong presence in the Telugu film industry.
Today, production house Geetha Arts has grown into one of the biggest banners in Telugu cinema. Aravind proudly stated that the hard work and vision of his father were the driving forces behind the family’s success and the rise of stars like Allu Arjun.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appreciated the vision behind the newly built multiplex and praised the modern facilities installed at Allu Cinemas. While watching promotional visuals on the Dolby screen inside the theatre, Aravind appeared visibly satisfied and emotional.
He remarked that seeing such achievements would make his father proud if he were watching from above. His journey, he said, stands as an example of how a father’s faith and encouragement can shape the future of an entire family over the decades.
The launch of Allu Cinemas is therefore not just the opening of a new theatre, but also a celebration of the legacy and growth of the Allu family in the Telugu film industry.
Dhurandhar 2 Sets Record Advance Bookings Overseas

The excitement surrounding Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh, continues to grow as the film records impressive advance booking numbers in overseas markets.
According to the latest trade reports, the film is witnessing a phenomenal response in North America, where advance bookings are increasing rapidly. The opening day advance sales, including premieres and day-one shows, have already reached around $1.8 million.
Even more remarkable are the advance sales for the first weekend, which have reportedly touched $3.65 million. If this momentum continues, the film is expected to set a new record for the highest advance sales ever for an Indian film in the region.
While the numbers overseas are creating excitement, another development behind the scenes has caught the industry’s attention. Director Aditya Dhar is reportedly still working on the final output and finishing touches of the movie.
With just five days left for the overseas premieres, the makers must deliver the final version of the film to international distributors at least a day in advance to ensure a smooth theatrical rollout.
Aditya Dhar’s recent social media update mentioning that he is still working on the film’s output has added to the curiosity surrounding the project. On one hand, the film is witnessing record-breaking advance bookings, while on the other, the team is racing against time to finalize the film.
It remains to be seen how Dhar and his team manage the final stages as the release date approaches. Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026.
Prime Video Exit Rumours Around Vijay’s Jana Nayagan

Reports circulating in Tamil media suggest that Amazon Prime Video may have stepped away from the digital rights deal for the upcoming Vijay starrer Jana Nayagan. The news has quickly spread across film circles, raising concerns among fans and trade analysts.
However, several industry observers believe these reports may be premature. It has been only about two months since the film’s release was postponed, and such delays often trigger speculation about OTT agreements.
A similar situation was seen earlier with Hari Hara Veera Mallu, where reports initially claimed that the OTT platform had withdrawn from the deal. Later, it was revealed that the platform had only renegotiated the price, while the agreement itself remained intact.
Because of such precedents, many in the trade feel that the current reports regarding Jana Nayagan could simply be industry gossip rather than confirmed information. Until either the film’s producers or the OTT platform releases an official statement, the exact situation remains unclear.
At the same time, if the reports eventually prove to be true, it could serve as a cautionary sign for films that face repeated release delays. OTT platforms often reassess their agreements when release schedules change frequently.
For now, the industry is closely watching how the developments surrounding Jana Nayagan and its digital rights deal unfold.
Aditya Dhar Reflects on Dreams on His Birthday

Filmmaker Aditya Dhar, best known for directing the blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike, celebrated his birthday on Thursday by reflecting on an important lesson he learned over the past year.
The director shared that 2025 taught him to never lose faith in one’s dreams and to give everything to the goals one wishes to achieve in life.
Expressing gratitude for the love and wishes he received on his birthday, Aditya Dhar revealed that he spent the special day working on the final touches of his upcoming film Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
Taking to Instagram, the filmmaker posted an emotional message thanking fans and well-wishers for their constant support. He wrote that while completing the last stages of the film, he took a moment to reflect on the incredible year that had passed.
Dhar said he felt deeply grateful for the journey, his dedicated team, and the unwavering faith audiences have shown in his work over the years. He also mentioned that reading the birthday wishes, messages, tweets, and even memes about his “peak detailing” style filled his heart with joy.
The director added that although he could not personally reply to every message, he truly values the love and encouragement from fans. According to him, in an industry where every film is a leap of faith, the trust and support of the audience mean everything.
Concluding his note, Aditya Dhar said the biggest lesson he learned this year is to never stop believing in one’s dreams and to give their absolute best to achieve them.
Ram Charan Drops ‘Global Star’ Title

Following the massive success of RRR and its global recognition, actor Ram Charan was widely referred to as “Global Star.” The title gained popularity during the film’s international promotions and awards campaign, where Ram Charan received significant global attention.
However, the actor has now reverted to his earlier and well-known title, “Mega Power Star.” This change has sparked discussions within film circles about why he decided to drop the “Global Star” tag.
During the peak of RRR’s global buzz, the title was frequently used in promotional material and by fans across social media. But according to sources close to the actor, Ram Charan was never entirely comfortable with the label.
It is said that he agreed to use the title temporarily as part of the film’s international promotional campaign. Privately, he reportedly felt that the term “Global Star” was somewhat exaggerated since most of his work continues to be within Indian cinema.
Many observers believe this move reflects Ram Charan’s grounded personality. The actor appears to prefer a more realistic image rather than projecting an overstated global stature.
Industry insiders feel that if one of his future films truly resonates with audiences across multiple countries and markets, Ram Charan may then naturally embrace the “Global Star” title again.
Revanth Reddy Hopes Allu Arjun Reaches Hollywood

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday said that talent alone determines success in the film industry and expressed hope that popular Telugu actor Allu Arjun would one day act in Hollywood films and achieve global recognition.
Speaking at the inauguration of “Allu Cinemas,” a new theatre complex, the Chief Minister praised Allu Arjun and his family for their efforts in building the multiplex and contributing to the growth of the cinema culture.
Revanth Reddy said that the Telangana government aims to make the film industry an important part of the state’s success story and assured full support to its development.
“In the future, Allu Arjun should not only shine in Pan-India films but also make his mark in Hollywood. The greatness of Telugu actors should be heard there as well,” the Chief Minister said.
He also noted that earlier Telugu films were often compared with Bollywood in terms of box office collections, but the industry should now aim higher. According to him, Telugu cinema should be in a position to compete with Hollywood rather than comparing itself with neighboring states or Bollywood.
The Chief Minister further pointed out that language barriers in cinema have long disappeared and that talent is now the key factor that determines success in the industry.
