Mrunal Thakur Stuns in Red Monochrome Ensemble

Share

Mrunal Thakur made a captivating style statement in a sophisticated red monochrome outfit that effortlessly blended tradition with modern elegance. The ensemble featured a finely tailored red blouse paired with a matching skirt, both of which highlighted her poise and fashion-forward sensibility.

A coordinated overcoat in the same rich hue added depth and structure to the silhouette, enhancing the visual appeal while maintaining a sleek, streamlined aesthetic. The bold yet refined choice of a single-color palette allowed the outfit’s design and craftsmanship to take center stage, creating a look that was both impactful and understated.

Mrunal kept the accessories minimal, opting for a delicate necklace that added just the right touch of sparkle. Her softly styled, loose hair framed her face naturally, complementing the overall grace of the ensemble.

This look perfectly balanced cultural heritage with contemporary flair, reinforcing Mrunal Thakur’s status as a style icon known for making confident and elegant fashion choices.

Mahesh Babu–Rajamouli Film Faces Production Delay

Share

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s much-anticipated collaboration with master filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli is currently facing delays, causing concern among fans and industry watchers alike. After successfully completing the first two shooting schedules, the production has now hit a pause, with no clear update on when filming will resume.

Sources indicate that a special set was being constructed in Hyderabad, while an alternate international schedule planned in Kenya was abruptly cancelled at the last minute. While such scale and ambition are expected from a Rajamouli film, the prolonged halt in production has raised questions about the project’s progress.

It is learned that Rajamouli is currently occupied with reworking certain crucial portions of the film, which reportedly require detailed review and modifications. This creative fine-tuning, although typical of the director’s meticulous approach, has inevitably slowed down the overall timeline.

For Mahesh Babu, the wait has been particularly long. With the calendar well into its seventh month, the actor has been on set for only a limited number of days, adding to the growing anticipation surrounding the project. However, given Rajamouli’s reputation for delivering cinematic spectacles, such extended pre-production and reshoots are often part of the process.

While fans eagerly await further updates, it remains to be seen when this big-ticket venture will get back on track.

War 2 Becomes YRF’s Costliest Film with ₹400 Cr Budget

Share

The buzz surrounding War 2 is steadily intensifying as the film gears up for its grand release on August 14. The anticipation is particularly high not just in Bollywood, but also among Tollywood circles, thanks to the highly awaited on-screen pairing of Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan. While the teaser drew mixed reactions, the recently released trailer has helped shift the narrative in a more positive direction, garnering praise for its visual appeal and high-octane action.

A key topic of discussion across industry and media platforms is the film’s staggering budget and the remuneration of its star-studded cast. With a reported production cost of ₹400 crore, War 2 now holds the title of the most expensive spy thriller in Hindi cinema, surpassing previous big-budget ventures like Tiger 3 (₹350 crore) and Pathaan (₹325 crore).

Jr NTR is reportedly being paid ₹70 crore for his role, while Hrithik Roshan is receiving ₹50 crore, along with a profit-sharing deal that could substantially increase his earnings if the film becomes a commercial success. Kiara Advani and Anil Kapoor are said to have been paid ₹15 crore and ₹10 crore respectively. Director Ayan Mukerji, known for his work on Brahmāstra, has reportedly been compensated ₹30 crore for helming the project.

Out of the ₹400 crore total budget, ₹150 crore has been allocated to cast and crew salaries, with the remaining ₹250 crore dedicated to production, visual effects, sets, and action sequences.

As expectations soar, War 2 is shaping up to be a landmark entry in Yash Raj Films’ spy universe. All eyes are now on its box office performance to see if the film can match, or even exceed, its monumental investment.

KTR Slams Chandrababu Over Telangana Interference

Share

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President and former Telangana IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a scathing attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during a public meeting held yesterday.

KTR alleged that Chandrababu Naidu is attempting to exert influence over Telangana politics by leveraging his proximity to the central government and the current Telangana Chief Minister, A. Revanth Reddy. He claimed that Naidu is viewing Telangana through the lens of Revanth Reddy and is trying to “run a parallel government” in the state.

Reaffirming his party’s stand, KTR declared that Telangana does not need external interference and has strong leadership under BRS Chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), who, he said, would go to any extent to protect the state’s interests.

This strongly-worded criticism from KTR marks one of the most direct confrontations with Chandrababu Naidu since BRS lost power in the recent Telangana Assembly elections. The development has sparked political debate, with analysts interpreting the move as BRS’s attempt to reignite Telangana pride and consolidate its regional support base.

The remarks have added a new dimension to the political dynamics between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, particularly at a time when both states are navigating delicate administrative and political relations.

Allu Cinemas to Open in Kokapet by Sankranthi 2026

Share

Renowned film producer Allu Aravind and his family are expanding their footprint in the entertainment industry with an ambitious new venture—Allu Cinemas, a premium movie theatre complex currently under development in Kokapet, Hyderabad. Strategically located near the Outer Ring Road (ORR), the upcoming multiplex is poised to transform the cinema landscape of the region.

The Allu family already owns substantial real estate in Kokapet, which includes Allu Studios, a cutting-edge film production facility that has been operational for over two years. Building on the momentum of that success, they are now channeling their vision into creating a world-class cinema destination.

Construction of Allu Cinemas is progressing rapidly, with the launch targeted for Sankranthi 2026. This state-of-the-art facility is expected to fill a critical void, as Kokapet and its surrounding areas, including Gandipet, currently lack dedicated multiplexes. At present, local residents must travel to Gachibowli to access theatres such as AMB Cinemas and PVR. Allu Cinemas will offer a more accessible and luxurious option much closer to home.

With the Allu brand enjoying immense goodwill in the Telugu film industry, expectations are high for the new venture. Once operational, Allu Cinemas is expected to emerge as a preferred entertainment hub for residents along the ORR corridor and beyond. The project not only enhances convenience for moviegoers but also strengthens Kokapet’s evolving identity as a lifestyle and entertainment destination.

Indian-Origin Man Brutally Attacked by Teens in Melbourne

Share

A 33-year-old Indian-origin man, Saurabh Anand, is recovering from life-threatening injuries after being brutally attacked by a group of teenagers in Melbourne’s Altona Meadows suburb. The violent assault, which occurred on the evening of July 19, left Anand with multiple fractures and a nearly severed hand that doctors were later able to surgically reattach.

According to The Australian Today, the incident took place around 7:30 p.m. as Anand was returning home after collecting medicines from the Central Square Shopping Centre. While speaking to a friend on the phone, he was suddenly surrounded by five teenagers. What began as a confrontation quickly escalated into a savage assault.

“While I was trying to protect myself, the machete just went through my wrist. The second attack went through my hand. The third went through the bone,” Anand told The Age, recalling the terrifying ordeal.

As per reports, one of the attackers rummaged through Anand’s pockets while another repeatedly struck him in the head. A third assailant pulled out a machete, threatening Anand by holding it to his throat. In a desperate act of self-defense, Anand raised his arm, which is when the blade nearly severed his hand. He was also stabbed in the shoulder and back, sustaining multiple broken bones and a fractured spine.

“All I remember is the pain, and my hand was hanging by a thread,” Anand recounted.

Despite extensive injuries and significant blood loss, Anand managed to walk away from the scene and called for emergency assistance. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors initially feared amputation. After several hours of complex surgery, they were able to save and reattach his hand.

Victoria Police have confirmed that four of the five teenage suspects have been arrested, and investigations are ongoing.

Second Attack on Indian National Raises Alarms
This brutal attack follows a similar incident involving another Indian man, Charanpreet Singh, a student who was assaulted during a car parking dispute near Kintore Avenue. According to The Australian Today, Singh and his wife were out to view light displays in the city when they were approached by a group of unidentified men. Singh was allegedly subjected to racial abuse and a violent assault around 9:22 p.m. that evening.

The back-to-back incidents have raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of the Indian community in Australia. Community leaders are urging authorities to take swift and decisive action to address the growing sense of insecurity.

Both cases remain under investigation as law enforcement continues to appeal for witnesses and additional information.

Fahadh Faasil Breaks Silence on Pushpa 2 Backlash

Share

Renowned Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil, who made his Telugu debut with the Pushpa franchise, has finally addressed the criticism surrounding his role in Pushpa: The Rule. While his performance in the first part of the film was well-received and added depth to the narrative, the second installment saw his character arc take a turn that disappointed many fans and critics alike.

In a recent interview, Fahadh subtly acknowledged the backlash without naming the film directly. “I’ve failed with a big film in the past year, so I don’t want to talk about it. When something is out of your control, just leave it. Take your lesson and leave it,” he said, hinting at the challenges he faced during the project.

Though he did not explicitly mention Pushpa 2, it is widely believed that he was referring to it. Viewers have criticized the way his character, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, was handled in the sequel, calling it underwhelming and inconsistent with the potential shown in the first film.

Interestingly, Fahadh’s decision to join the project was influenced by his wife, actress Nazriya Nazim. A fan of Sukumar’s critically acclaimed film Rangasthalam, Nazriya reportedly urged Fahadh to accept the role without hesitation. Fahadh himself confirmed in earlier statements that he agreed to do the film after a brief narration from Sukumar, without delving into the complete character arc.

Director Sukumar also mentioned in a recent interview that Fahadh was on board purely based on that initial meeting, adding a layer of intrigue to how the character’s trajectory eventually diverged from expectations. While it’s likely that Fahadh was later briefed on the role in greater detail, it appears creative shifts during production played a part in how things unfolded.

Fahadh’s remarks reflect a broader reality in the film industry — that even seasoned actors can find themselves in situations where the final outcome doesn’t align with initial promises or artistic intent. His candidness has reignited discussions around script choices and the importance of creative agency for actors.

Meanwhile, Fahadh was last seen in the Tamil film Mareesan, which is currently running in theatres.

HHVM Stumbles as Saiyaara and Mahavatar Narsimha Shine at Box Office

Share

Despite a fair amount of buzz on its opening day, Hari Hara Veera Mallu (HHVM) appears to have quickly lost momentum at the box office. While there was a modest uptick in bookings over the weekend, particularly on Saturday and Sunday, the overall performance remains underwhelming. The early signs indicate that audience interest is waning rapidly, casting doubt on the film’s ability to sustain its theatrical run in the coming days.

In contrast, two other films—Saiyaara and Mahavatar Narsimha—are currently capturing audience attention across regions.

According to social media trends and advance booking reports, Mohit Suri’s Hindi film Saiyaara is seeing a strong surge in ticket sales. Remarkably, the film, featuring relatively lesser-known actors, is inching closer to the ₹500 crore gross mark. Suri’s deft storytelling and his ability to connect with Gen Z and younger audiences appear to be paying off in a big way.

Meanwhile, the Telugu-dubbed animated feature Mahavatar Narsimha is performing exceptionally well among family audiences and children. Its 3D format, coupled with familiar mythological storytelling, has made it a popular weekend choice. Despite the well-known narrative, the visual spectacle and immersive experience continue to draw crowds, especially in the regional markets.

The contrasting performances highlight a recurring pattern in Indian cinema: audiences are eager to visit theatres, but only when the content resonates with them. Lavish productions and star power alone are no longer enough. As HHVM struggles to find its footing, it underscores a critical lesson for filmmakers—today’s audience values strong storytelling and meaningful cinematic experiences over mediocrity wrapped in grandeur.
