Once in a lifetime event – Howdy, Modi!

Share

Narendra Modi – The one who singlehandedly transformed the image of India globally. Howdy Modi event ended yesterday with a strong note of unbreakable ties between India and the US. President Donald Trump and PM Modi were seen walking hand in hand around NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas.

This friendship between the two greatest democracies have ear-splitting cheers and traditional Indian drums welcoming President Trump to Houston on Sunday at an event dubbed “Howdy, Modi,” in honour of India’s visiting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Most of the crowd among more than 50,000 registered attendees were Indian-American and they dressed in vibrant traditional garb. The stadium was decorated with Indian and American flags. Earlier, when Modi’s Madison Square Graden event took place in NYC, the crowd was said to be massive. But yesterday’s event had three times the size of the crowd compared to five years ago.

“Trump’s name is familiar to every person on the planet. His name comes up in almost every conversation in the world on global politics,” Modi started off his speech on the dais.

“He was a household name and very popular even before he went on to occupy the highest office in this great country”, he said. Netizens thank Modi for bringing a huge positive change of the country global wide and poured in a lot of praises for being the only Prime Miniter to do so. In fact, even US citizens tweeted saying that they have put so much energy to welcome Modi to their country and humbled to share the platform with Indians.

India’s national anthem was heard singing by an unbelievably massive crowd in the US and it was less of an event and more of a grand festival. Beyond Spectacular! On the other hand, Trump said that he is happy to have an Indian-American community in his country and his administration is working for their betterment.

Get ready for 11-digit mobile numbers

Share

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is considering changing the numbering schemes for Indian mobile phones, keeping in mind, the rise in demand for telecom connections with the growing population. To address the issue, TRAI is planning to change the digits in a phone number to 11 from 10.

The rise in demand for telephone numbers has been unimaginably vast and the options are needed to pacify it. Hence, choosing options like changing the numbering system for a phone number is the key. It is reported that all the numbers (10-digit) starting from 9,8,7 can grant 2.1 billion connections.

A 13-digit number series have already been commenced by the government for the Internet of Things and machine-machine communications. But by 2050, more than 2.6 billion numbers would be required to cater to need of the country. As we know, earlier in 1993 and 2003, in a gap of ten years, India has reviewed its numbering plans.

However, the present availability of numbering resource is vulnerable due to growth in population and the need for connections. As estimated, India will reportedly become the most populous country in the world by 2027 that is surpassing China(1.64 billion). Currently, in India, we have 1.2 billion telephone connections.

TRAI believe that by 2050, India will have a number of mobile telephones working is likely to be nearly 3.28 billion. The 11-digit scheme is a great alternative for mobile and continuing with 10 digit numbering for fixed-line services; shifting data only mobile numbers (like dongle connections) from 10 digits to 13 digit numbering, and vacating a number series starts from 3, 5 and 6, etc. The regulator has fixed the deadline of October 21 for public comments and November 4 for counter comments.

“21 years ago on this day, my government laid the foundation for Cyber City in Hyderabad. From its humble origins, it became a landmark of the city, of the state, and of India itself. It still shines as a beacon of India’s success story as an IT superpower,” tweeted Naidu and he got little nostalgic for obvious reasons.

Be Honest, Chandrababu Writes Letter To YS Jagan

On Sunday, Chandrababu Naidu wrote a letter to Jagan, asking to cancel the ongoing village secretariat exams. He elaborated the value of good administration and said that the alleged leakage of village secretariat exams papers is a concern. He demanded to cancel and start the exams all over again with transparency and see that eligible persons are recruited.

Babu also recalled in the letter how some places have faced a similar situation and some of their Chief Ministers resigned from their posts as a moral responsibility. He said since the government is taking this as a small issue, he would leave it to Jagan whether he sticks to his earlier statement and resign or ask his Panchayat Raj and Education Ministers to resign.

The paper leakage allegations left nearly 19 lakh candidates upset and anxious. Along with these, Chandrababu also brought in how difficult it is to implement good governance, but the new government focused on revenge politics for four months. He went on to say that there was no response from helpline when candidates called them.

He called the whole situation a disgrace. He also advised the government to run the administration honestly and with dedication. The lack of experience is leading the state in the wrong direction, he claimed.

Acting in Sye Raa Is Like Winning Oscar Award’

After joining in YSR Congress, there are some frictions between Comedian Prithvi and mega fans, as everyone knows the fact that it is Chiranjeevi who encouraged Prithvi in films thereby resulting him in getting a break.

Some rumours are spread by few anti-Chiru campaigns that Prithvi is banned from all mega movies and he’s not getting chances in Telugu industry. Though Prithvi clarified that his role in Khaidi No 150 might have got cut due to other reasons, Chiranjeevi is his god.

Reiterating the same faith and explaining the greatness of Chiranjeevi, Prithvi told other day at Sye Raa pre-release event that he can’t thank Megastar enough even if he skins out himself and makes chappals out of it for the star hero. “Megastar Chiranjeevi told me that Madhavayar character will come to the artist whose name is written for it. You got the chance, so do it. Acting in Sye Raa is like winning an Oscar award” said Prithvi.

Later he added, “I’ve got such a character that allows me to tell the greatness of Annayya (Uyyalawada here) during the interval block, which really made me think that this role is enough for my career”.

Also, Prithvi revealed a dialogue from Sye Raa movie where he praises Chiranjeevi during the interval which is roughly like this: “When atrocities of demon Hiranykashipa reached peaks, Narasimha Swamy descended on earth to kill him. And now, this Narasimha Reddy is descending upon Britishers to mark the beginning of their ending”.
