Congress Party Is Unpredictable: Revanth Reddy

Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy has made unsettling remarks against Telangana Congress leaders and this has caused for a debate. On Wednesday, Revanth reached the Assembly and found fault with Congress MLAs for not being present in the house during the debate on electricity.

‘Just to ask why my party MLAs were not there when Assembly is debating about electricity. Also as per the Assembly book rules, the budget sessions should last for 14 days if not, they are not valid. It is unacceptable also if only two parties agree on budget sessions,’ said Revanth.

Then Revanth said that he had no clue and information about Congress leaders meeting Governor and so he was not there. On the Huzurnagar by-election, Revanth said that Congress high command did not finalise any candidate but he proposed Shyamala Kiran Reddy’s name. On the contrary TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy has announced that the ticket is being allotted to Padmavati.

‘Congress party is unpredictable. Who will get post and who will face the axe is never known to anybody,’ added Revanth and made satirical comments on Congress leader S A Sampath Kumar. ‘Sampath doesn’t even know ABCD on Uranium and its mining. So I will not bother about this comments,’ stated Revanth.

Well, Revanth is in contention for the TPCC chief post and looks like he started dominating the party even before becoming the chief. Let’s wait for Congress leaders reaction as they still feel he is an outsider.

Nani’s Film With Young Hero: Not Immediately

Apparently, there is buzz everywhere that natural star Nani, who is heading to Bangkok very soon to join the shoot of his upcoming film “V”, is all set to produce a film with a young hero. A dig into the buzz revealed that it is too early to talk about this project.

Young chap Vishwaksen who made debut with the film Vellipomake and later appeared in Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi has turned into a director with Falaknuma Das. However, he garnered more name for his arrogant blastings in media meets rather than as an actor and director. Now the buzz has that Nani will be producing his next film, which features Vishwak in the lead as well.

Sources close to these two, however, revealed that this is not going to happen immediately. Because Viswaksen is right now doing almost four films, out of which Pagal is a big-budgeted one. All these films will see him as an actor and has newcomers as directors. They will be taking at least a year more to get wrapped.

And if Vishwaksen is ready with the script of his next, then the film might take off in Nani’s production house, but only after he wraps those commitments in hand.

Bigg Boss: Srimukhi Instigates Baba; Himaja in Danger

Naidu Going Overboard On Kodela’s Death!

Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who had been waiting for a serious issue to rejuvenate the party which was down in the dumps after the recent election debacle, seems to have found one in the tragic suicide of senior leader and former Andhra Pradesh speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao.

After ensuring that it was indeed a suicide, Naidu started enacting a big drama right from Monday evening and dragged it on for three days so as to gain the maximum political mileage.

In fact, Kodela’s body was handed over to the family on Monday evening itself. Instead of shifting it to Guntur on the same night, the TDP chief kept the body overnight at NTR Trust Bhavan, despite the fact that all the followers of Kodela are in the Palanadu region.

The body was taken to Guntur in a procession from Hyderabad, where it was kept the whole day, instead of being taken to Narasraopet for cremation on Tuesday itself.

In fact, Kodela’s son Shivaram came to Guntur in the early hours of Tuesday and there was no reason why it was kept in Guntur party office the whole day.

And on Wednesday morning, too, the funeral should have been completed in the morning, but Naidu chose to come late to Narsaraopet so that the saga is dragged till evening.

So, for three days, Naidu ensured that there is no other issue in the media than Kodela’s death.

His idea is very simple: to give a new lease of life for the TDP cadre and also blame the YSR Congress party and its government for three consecutive days!

Kodela spoke to doctor before suicide?

The mystery over former Andhra Pradesh assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao’s last phone call before he committed suicide on Monday seems to have been cracked.

Sources in the police said Kodela had a lengthy talk with Dr Sunitha in Basavarama Tarakam Cancer Hospital at around 10 am, before he went into the bedroom to commit suicide.

The police came to the conclusion after going through the call data of Kodela.

However, the details of what he had spoken to the doctor and whether it was the immediate cause for the suicide are yet to be known. The police are cracking the conversation, sources said.

The police are also suspecting that the mobile phone of Kodela, which was said to be missing since Monday evening, is with the family members.

Once the last rites are over, the police might take it up with the family and take possession of the phone, his diary and other objects.

The post-mortem report reportedly revealed that Kodela had used a cable wire to hang himself from the ceiling.

Apparently, he tried to hang himself with his lungi first, but he found it to too short to tie to the ceiling fan. So, he found the cable wire of the television and used it to kill himself, the sources said.

The police seized the wire, lungi and other objects from the room. He had used three chairs to reach the fan for tying the wire.

The police said they were questioning all those who were connected with Kodela and his family.

“So far, 12 persons were questioned and recorded the statements of all the family members. We are yet to question Kodela’s son Shivaram. We shall complete the investigation soon,” a senior police official, probing the case, said.

Modi Cares A Straw For Naidu, Lokesh!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his birthday on Tuesday and birthday wishes had been pouring in lakhs from all sections of people, including politicians, film celebrities, industrialists etc.

Though it was difficult for Modi to respond to everybody personally, he sent “thank you” messages to all those who he had felt very important, apart from those who he knew, as a matter of courtesy.

For example, from the Telugu states, he reciprocated through his twitter handle to the greetings from Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, his son K T Rama Rao, Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, governors of both the states and quite a few others.

But there were two persons, whose birthday greetings Modi had chosen to ignore. They were: Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh.

Though both Naidu and Lokesh also extended birthday wishes to the Prime Minister through their twitter messages, they did not get any reply from Modi as a reciprocating gesture.

In fact, when Naidu was in power, Modi used to wish him on the former’s birthday and also reciprocate Naidu’s greetings on his birthday.

But, after Naidu started treating Modi as an enemy, the latter too has been ignoring him.

Now that Modi is back to power in Delhi, Naidu might have thought to get into the former’s good books through such birthday greetings, but the Prime Minister is clever enough to keep Naidu at a distance!

Ban on H-4 work visas unlikely to be enforced

In a big relief to thousands of spouses of H-1B visa holders, most of which are Indians, the proposal by the Donald Trump administration to ban spouses of H-1B visa holders from working in the United States may not be implemented until next year

The US Department of Justice (DoJ) on Monday told a US court, which is hearing a challenge to the work authorisation granted to H-1B spouses in 2015 by the former Barak Obama administration, that the earliest possible publication date for the latest rule is spring 2020 or between March and June next year.

“As previously indicated, DHS’ (Department of Homeland Security’s) intention to proceed with publication of the H-4 EAD (employment authorisation document) proposed rule remains unchanged,” the DoJ told the District of Columbia Circuit, in Washington DC, according to a leading business daily. The “proposed rule is currently undergoing the inter-agency process”.

Worth mentioning here is that when Homeland Security first announced its plan to strip H-4 holders of the right to work in 2017, it had set February 2018 as the publication date for the new rules, but it has been delayed since then.

Foreign nationals, mostly qualified Indian women, have been the primary beneficiaries of the H-4 EAD. Since 2015, 90% of the 1.2 lakh visas issued are to Indian women, the publication mentioned.

The publication, citing Vivek Tandon, CEO of EB5 BRICS, a visa consultancy, warned that deferring the proposed ban to next year only offers “minor relief ”. “Spouses of H-1B holders still don’t have any clarity on EAD status. Employers in the US are likely to avoid hiring H-4 visa holders until a final decision is taken,” he said.

US technology companies mostly use H-1B visa to attract talent to work and settle in the US. Experts say if US revokes the H-4 EAD visa then this will affect the ability of US companies to attract and retain skilled workers in the country.

It may be noted that former technology workers in the US had filed a lawsuit against Homeland Security claiming that they were replaced at utility Southern California Edison by H-1B workers and that H-4 holders compete against the tech workers in the job market, without statutory authority to work.

According to the latest memo issued by Homeland Security, it wants oral arguments in the case to be put on hold as it brings the proposed work-ban rule to publication stage. Publication is expected to trigger a public-comment period.
