Viral Pic: PM Modi had birthday lunch with his mother

Share

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is celebrating his 69th birthday today, has met his mother Heeraben(98) in Gujarat. In spite of his busy schedule, Modi went on to seek his mother’s blessings, who lives in Raisin village with younger son Pankaj Modi.

The picture of Modi with his mother are doing rounds on the internet and some pictures show that he had a birthday lunch, a traditional thali, with Heeraben. He also went on to meet his acquainted neighbours before leaving.

It is always explicitly seen that Narendra Modi gives a lot of importance to his mother and never fails to meet and take her blessings on significant days. In a world where young people lead transactional lives, Modi’s meet with his mother is an example of how one should value traditions.

Earlier this year too, Modi met her to share the happiness after winning a massive mandate for a second term in national elections. Today, after meeting his mother, PM Modi flew from Gandhinagar to Kevadia in Narmada district to review programmes and projects which also included the Statue of Unity and the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the river Narmada.

On the other hand, a bakery in Surat had made a 700-ft cake which weighed 7,000 kg to mark PM Modi’s 69th birthday. Also, in Delhi, a bike rally took place which started from Delhi to his birthplace Vadnagar in Gujarat, by BJP MP Vijay Goel. Led by ace biker Raj Luxmi, the rally will cover a distance of 1,200 Km

Botsa, The Mouthpiece of Jagan?

Share

Be it about the possible shifting of Amaravati capital city or the suspicions raised in Kodela Siva Prasada Rao’s unnatural death, Botsa Satyanarayana is the first and only one in YCP to speak about such crucial and controversial issues without any hesitation. Botsa is highly vocal-like never before and he is hinting the policy decisions of Jagan’s administration. And in both matters, Jagan remained silent indicating his nod with Botsa’s statements.

In fact, it was Botsa who had proposed Jagan’s name as the leader of YSRCP Legislature Party and Jagan had unanimously elected as YCP Legislature Party Leader.

Botsa is not just a senior leader, but he is calling the shots in YCP second to Jagan. Even in the tickets confirmation before general elections, Botsa had played a crucial role and ensured that his followers and all his family members get MLA tickets. While many feel that Vijay Sai Reddy is Jagan’s right-hand man, Botsa is now emerging as the mouthpiece of Jagan in his government. So, even in cabinet and even in government, Botsa’s word has garnered a lot of significance. With Vijay Sai Reddy confined to Rajya Sabha and serving as YSRCP Parliamentary Party Leader and Jagan’s uncle YV Subba Reddy has been made TTD Chairman, Botsa has no stopping in the government and administration. Also the fact that he is holding the key portfolio of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, it has come in handy for Botsa and Jagan.

The moot question is that is Jagan behind Botsa’s comments? Prima facie looks so!

Pic Talk: Kangana Looks A Tone In Dazzling Saree

Share

One of the most sexiest sirens Bollywood has ever seen is none other than Kangana Ranaut who has rocked the glamour boat big time. And other day, once again she proved why she is called a diva in this arena.

Attending an awards program held in Thailand, Kangana gave a peek of her sensuous look yet again. She has dressed up in a dazzling gold saree and put up terrific glamour on display as she slipped into a sleeveless blouse underneath it. Needless to say, the Queen siren made her presence radiated as she walked down the red carpet like a swan.

This is not the first time Kangana surprised everyone with her glamorous treats, as she is always known to give such. While she picks patriotic and empowering stories as subjects of her films, she makes sure that spicy appearances in public and magazine covers play to galleries.

On the films front, the actress will be seen in Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s Pangaa and Jayalalitha biopic Thalaivi very soon.

Errum Manzil case, a slap on KCR’s face!

Share

The judgement delivered by the Telangana high court striking down the decision of the Telangana cabinet headed by K Chandrashekar Rao to demolish the 150-year old heritage structure Errum Manzil to build a modern Legislative Assembly complex in Hyderabad, came as a slap on the face of KCR.

The HC declared a June 18th cabinet decision on this invalid. Bharatiya Janata Party state unit welcomed the high court’s decision stating that it should be an eye opener to the KCR government, which thinks it can do anything because he has got majority.

“The irresponsible adamance to demolish a heritage building by the TRS Governme has been neutralized by the high court. It’s a victory of citizens of Hyderabad over an insensitive and irresponsible government,” BJP spokesperson K Krishna Sagar Rao said.

However, he said, the BJP doesn’t believe that KCR will learn any lessons from the high court order.

“There has been a pattern set by the state government in the last six years, that it will take knee jerk decisions with no application of mind, legality or constitutionality,” he said.

BJP warned KCR government to get its act together and deliver on the promises made to people.

The chief minister wanted to build a new assembly complex on the lines of Parliament House in place of Errum Manzil of Nizam’s period.

The High Court found fault with the government for removing the monument from the list of heritage structures under the Telangana Heritage (Protection, Preservation, Conservation and Maintenance) Act of 2017, by ignoring several aspects.

“Dismantling heritage structures is dismantling the people’s existence and erasing the recognition of the city”, the bench said, adding that protection of the heritage is as equally important as preparing plans for the future.

Why this sudden love for dad-son on CBI?

Share

No doubt, it is a big tragedy that a senior politician like former Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao committed suicide by hanging himself to death at his Hyderabad residence.

The Telangana police have taken up investigation by constituting three special teams, who are looking into all angles of the causes that promoted the senior Telugu Desam Party leader to take to the extreme step.

Some people might even agree with TDP president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to make allegations against the YSR Congress party leadership saying Kodela had committed suicide due to harassment by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government in the form of cases and theft allegations.

In politics, one can expect leaders to make such comments in a fit of anguish and also to gain political mileage of such incidents.

The YSRC also chose to shot back at the TDP and its president for making such wild allegations and wanted the Telangana government to conduct an investigation into Kodela’s death.

But what surprised everybody is that Naidu has demanded a probe by Central Bureau of Investigation into the death of Kodela.

First of all, it is not a murder but a suicide as was clearly revealed in the post-mortem. The cases filed against Kodela and his family members are pending in the court. So, what can CBI do in this case?

Secondly, the TDP chief has no moral right to demand a CBI probe, because he himself had banned entry of the CBI and other central investigation agencies from entering AP when he was the chief minister.

He openly said several times that the CBI had lost its credibility and was full of scamsters, working under directions from Narendra Modi.

Similarly, Naidu’s son and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh also demanded a CBI probe into the murder of former MP and Jagan’s uncle Y S Vivekananda Reddy. Lokesh was also critical of CBI in the past.

So, why are they demanding the CBI probe now into Kodela’s death? It clearly shows how Naidu can take U-turns even on his own words!

BJP min asks Telugu filmmakers to plan shoot in J&K

Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines Ministry Pralhad Joshi is in Hyderabad today and he was called on by ace Tollywood producer Ashwini Dutt and ‘Mahanati’ director Nag Ashwin.

During their interaction, the BJP minister informed the producer and director that the ‘Article 370’ from Jammu & Kashmir was revoked and filmmakers could shoot in the valley without any restrictions.

On this occasion producer Ashwini Dutt recalled few bitter incidents of his past movies. He shared that when his films were shot there, few local people would raise objections and would ask them to go back.

Responding positively both Ashwini Dutt and director Nag Ashwin acknowledged minister’s proposal and assured that they will definitely plan the shoot in Jammu & Kashmir for their future projects.

After the abrogation of ‘Article 370’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi has indeed invited the whole Indian film industry to shoot in J&K which has some stunning locations and beautiful landscapes.

Hyd Merger Day celebrated with unfurling national flag

Share

Hyderabad: Hyderbad Merger Day was marked here on Tuesday with unfurling of the national flag at political party offices and recalling of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters who fought against the Nizam of the erstwhile Hyderabad state.

While the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), the opposition Congress and other parties celebrated the occasion as Merger Day, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) commemorated it as ‘Telangana Liberation Day’.

It was on this day in 1948 that then princely state of Hyderabad merged with the Indian union following “police action”, as the Indian military operation against Nizam’s army is popularly called.

The celebrations at Telangana Bhavan, the TRS headquarters, were led by party working President and Minister K. T. Rama Rao. He hoisted the national flag and garlanded the statues of ‘Telugu Talli’ and Telangana ideologue Professor Jayashankar.

Ministers Mehmood Ali, Malla Reddy, Srinivas Goud, MPs, state legislators and other leaders participated in the programme.

“Sept 17th: The day Hyderabad was merged with Indian Union – Remembering the countless sacrfices & saluting the martyrs,” Rama Rao later tweeted.

BJP celebrated ‘Telangana Liberation Day’ across the state with its leaders hoisting the national flag. They also took out ‘tiranga ralliesa’ and demanded that the day be celebrated officially.

Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Prahlad Joshi unfurled the national flag at the BJP state headquarters in Hyderabad.

Union Minister of State for Home G. Kishan Reddy, former Maharashtra Governor Vidyasagar Rao, state BJP chief K. Laxman and other leaders attended the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Laxman alleged that the TRS government is not celebrating the day officially under pressure from its ally All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).

Laxman claimed that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao had promised to celebrate the day officially during the Telangana movement but went back on his word after coming to power.

Kishan Reddy said the TRS government was scared of AIMIM and demanded that the history of Telangana’s liberation be included in text books so that the future generations know about the sacrifices made by their forefathers.

The Central ministers and BJP leaders are scheduled to address a public meeting at Patancheru near Hyderabad later in the day.

Telangana Merger Day was also celebrated at Gandhi Bhavan, the state headquarters of the Congress party. State Congress chief Uttam Kumar Reddy unfurled the national flag.

He said that Hyderabad merged with India thanks to the efforts of Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He claimed that the Congress and the Communists fought against the Nizam, who wanted to join Pakistan.

The Congress leader said the fight against the Nizam had nothing to do with religion but by linking it with the religion, the BJP was trying to distort history.

The day was also celebrated at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office. Party leader Ravula Chandrashekhar Reddy hoisted the tricolor at NTR Trust Bhavan.

BJP has been demanding for last two decades that the day should be officially celebrated like in some districts of Maharashtra and Karnataka, which were part of Hyderabad State.

Like the previous governments in undivided Andhra Pradesh, the TRS government in Telangana has rejected demands for officially celebrating the day. TRS leaders accused BJP of indulging in “divisive politics”.

Muslim groups have been opposing any celebrations as they say that Muslims were massacred during the “police action”.

AIMIM maintains that there is only one Independence Day for the entire country and hence there is no need for separate celebrations in Telangana.

Nani’s Gang Leader Collections Come Crashing Down

Share

Nani’s Gang Leader that enjoyed superb first weekend is now struggling at the box-office.

The film crashed out on the first-weekday post-weekend, making Rs 1.15 crore on Monday, nearly 65% drop.

The early trends suggest that Tuesday is witnessing a similar trend. The film has collected about Rs 12.90 Cr in four days in Telugu states.

Vikram Kumar’s crime comedy didn’t receive good ratings but it performed during the first weekend. Trade hoped that it would continue the same run but its fall is huge.

Except in Hyderabad, all areas have seen a huge decline in collections. It is unlikely that it will see growth next weekend since Varun Tej’s “Valmiki” is hitting this Friday.

“Nani’s Gang Leader” did a pre-release business of Rs 29 Cr worldwide with Rs 21 Cr business in AP and Telangana.

It has to be seen whether this movie would reach the break-even stage as the movie crashed out.

Of late, Nani’s movies are not posting big numbers.
