#BiggBoss3: When Contestants Failed, Nagarjuna Performed

Share

Compared to the first two seasons, definitely Bigg Boss 3 is not leaving that lasting impact for the kind of contestants, situations and the tasks. With almost every content traying to rain on someone else’s parade, audiences lost the kick over this show. That’s when Nagarjuna arrived.

When the so-called shoe polishing task sparked a huge debate, Nagarjuna has shut all the mouths by polishing a shoe himself. Though that is his own shoe or he polished an already clean shoe are something different, but a star hero of his stature taking up such task is the kick-giving point here.

Then the way he spoke to super arrogant Punarnavi, tamed Sreemukhi and appreciated Varun Sandesh while taking a jibe at Vithika, made the last weekend’s two episodes of #BiggBoss3 worth a watch. We must say that when contestants failed to deliver, Nagarjuna rose to the occasion and performed.

As the show crossed 50 days run already, we have to see if Bigg Boss also gives some really challenging tasks, contestants put a real fight with gaming spirit and make the reality show more interesting.

Charan Spent Rs 45 Crs On Sye Raa VFX?

Share

Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is this year’s most anticipated film and the film carrying mammoth expectations. Here is the update about the film’s extravaganza budget.

The historical biographical film has extensive use of visual effects. It is learnt that the visual effects alone have costed a whopping Rs 45 Crore.

17 VFX companies across the globe have worked on Sye Raa and the film boasts massive VFX and it said to have costed Rs 45 Crore. And the total budget of the film is estimated at Rs 270 Crore.

As the film is set in 1880s where Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy fights the British East India Company, the makers have recreated the life and times of Narasimha Reddy.

Meanwhile, the film’s trailer is expected to be unveiled at the film’s grand gala pre-release event scheduled to take place on Sep 18 in Hyderabad. Big B Amitabh Bachchan, who plays Narasimha Reddy’s Guru in the movie, is likely to be the special guest for the event.

The film also features Nayanthara, Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathi Babu, Tamanna, Anushka Shetty, Ravi Kishan and Niharika Konidela. The film is produced by Ram Charan and presented by Surekha Konidela under Konidela Production Company. The film is all set for Oct 2nd release.

Saaho Should Have This ‘Gang Leader’ Like Sequence

Share

Some films are bigger in budgets but will have poor sequences and some films are smaller in terms of scale but still, they will have intelligently carved stuff. Recently released film, Nan’s Gang Leader created a similar feeling and there it is no exaggeration to say that some of its scenes should have found a place in films like Saaho.

Apparently, the opening sequence of Gang Leader, a bank robbery that was filmed in a slick manner along with some stylish visuals has created a huge impact. Though some logics went for a toss, the presentation is very impressive and the presence of such a scene in a film like Saaho would have received an earth-shattering response.

Also, some of the car racing scenes, though a big race is not shown, the whole setup gave a terrific feeling, thanks to Kuba Miroslaw’s cinematography. Such a kind of scene would have helped Saaho’s proceedings go high but the makers of Prabhas starrer focused more on VFX than thrill and drama.

At the same time, we must also comment that if Gang Leader has some high octane thrill sequences as it boasted about at the beginning of the film, the result would have been much different.

Sam & Varun Tej Join Lakshmi Manchu In Bed

Share

Some celebs get interviewed on the couches and some get interviewed while they are jogging or working out. But there is this interview show called “Feet Up With Stars” where the host joins the celebrity in a bed and brings certain interesting things out.

Right now the Telugu version of this particular interview show found their host in the form of Lakshmi Manchu. After running interview shows like Lakshmi Talk Show for a while and later moving on to social concern shows like Mee Kosam, she has now taken the mantle of bringing the bedroom (and bed) secrets of stars.

Guess what, the first two stars who are interviewed by Lakhsmi for this program are none other than queen bee Samantha and rising mega hero Varun Tej. Already the pictures of Lakshmi-Samantha in bed and Lakshmi-Varun are doing rounds everywhere, giving a surprise to Telugu audiences who have never seen such stuff.

The interviews will be available from September 23rd on an OTT platform and we wonder which other celebrities are going to join Lakshmi Manchu in the bed.

‘Revenge politics forced Kodela to commit suicide’

Share

The passing away of former AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad came like a shocker for the political circles and it is still unclear whether he committed suicide or suffered a hear stroke.

TDP leaders are deeply pained by Kodela’s sudden demise and are reaching Basavatarakam hospital in Banjara Hills. Speaking to the media, few leaders said, revenge politics might have forced Kodela to take such a drastic decision.

“He is a senior most leader and served TDP for four decades. But the YSRCP government tried to defame him with false cases. This has led him to go in depression and eventually it cost his life,” said Butchaiah Chowdary.

Media reports claim that around 10:30 AM this morning, Kodela attempted suicide and his residence being close to Basavatarakam hospital, he brought there. At 10:45, Kodela was admitted in hospital but the doctors efforts went in vain.

Telangana CM KCR, Telangana TDP president Ramana have expressed their condolences to Kodela’s family.

KCR: Healthy to Rule for 10 More Years

Share

Hyderabad: Hitting out at Opposition parties for carrying out a ‘false campaign’ on his health, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday said that he would not hand over power to son, KT Rama Rao.

KCR, who addressed the Assembly during the ongoing Budget session, said he was not ready to anoint KTR as his successor.

The TRS supremo said that he was 66-year-old and would remain healthy for at least 10 more years.

“I am capable of working as the chief minister at least for another 10 years,” he said.

Taking a jibe at the Opposition for carrying out a false campaign that his health was deteriorating, KCR said he was very much healthy and he would continue to lead his party to victory for the next three terms.

He said curses of Opposition parties would work as a boon for him and take the state to new heights of development.

“People gave us a mandate for the second time and we will complete projects that would turn the state green and push agriculture and rural economy,” he added.

Ground Report: Big failure by govt media wing!

Share

The Sunday’s boat tragedy in Godavari river at Kachaluru of Devipatnam mandal in East Godavari district has shaken both the Telugu states.

The Andhra Pradesh government headed by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has, no doubt, quickly got into action to take up rescue operations by pressing into service Navy chopper, national and state disaster response forces, tourism boats and other machinery.

So far so good. But the government machinery has failed to disseminate proper information with regard to the actual number of people travelling in the ill-fated boat, how many people were rescued and how many died.

Till late in the evening on Sunday, there was complete chaos in providing proper information to the media. Added to this, the ministers in Jagan’s cabinet were giving different figures to different media channels.

Tourism minister Avanti Srinivas said on Sunday that there were 61 passengers on board. On Monday morning, he changed the figure to 73. Another minister Alla Nani said there were 70 people on the board.

The officials told some channels that 11 dead bodies were recovered and some other channels reported that 12 bodies were recovered and 38 were still missing.

At the end of the day, an official release from the chief minister’s office says only eight bodies were recovered. It says there were only 60 people on the board.

Even with regard to number of people who survived, there was confusion.

While the official note says 27 people were rescued, the minister said on Monday morning that only 26 were rescued. So, what happened to another person who was rescued?

The East Godavari district collector and superintendent of police were not available to the media for quite long time and the channels, particularly the national media, had to wait for the official info.

There was no centralized mechanism to disseminate information to the media and the common people.

While the media persons were getting calls from the families of victims stating that their family members went on a boat ride in Godavari and were not responding to the phone calls, there was none to pass on the info from the publicity wing of the state government.

There should be one-point information source for all the media and the ministers are not supposed to give whatever figure that comes to their notice.

Secondly, the exact number of passengers would be known if the boat operator is taken into custody and his ticket sales are verified. By that figure, it would be known how many dead bodies were recovered, how many were saved and how many are still missing.

The inexperience of the ministers was clearly evident with the Godavari boat tragedy.

The CM’s publicity wing should be more alert in sending the right information to the media from time to time, rather than confining to sending pictures of Jagan’s aerial visit.
