RX100 Director’s 3rd Film Announced, What About 2nd?
In the wake of rumours coming up with RX100 fame director Ajay Bhupathi is being pressured by the producers of Mahasamudram to return their advance back as the film with Ravi Teja got cancelled, today both the director and the producer tried to clean it off.
Other day it was announced that Ajay Bhupathi and Bhavya Creations will be partnering for the director’s third film very soon. And some gossip mills have even confirmed that hero Ram Pothineni will be playing the lead in that film. Well, first of all, what happened to this director’s second movie?
There are reports that as news of Bhavya Creations demanding to return their advance check given for Maha Samudram, director Ajay is said to have made a deal with them after consultations, and made the producers announce his third movie even without any story, script and cast in hand.
Anyway, with Raviteja walking out of Mahasamudram, we have to see which hero will jump into his shoes. Earlier the likes of Ram, Nithin, Bellamkonda Suresh and Naga Chaitanya have opted out of this film after initially agreeing to do the role.
MSD Retirement Rumors: Sakshi Gives the Answer
From last few hours, speculation is that Former Indian cricket team skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is likely to announce his retirement for all forms of the game. MSD was also not selected for the T20 series against South Africa. The rumours about MSD hanging up his boots are rife since team India lost to New Zealand in the World Cup.
After World Cup, India toured West Indies but Dhoni decided to opt of the series and he has served Indian Army for a couple of months. But the speculation about his retirement is back in discussion after Dhoni’s name wasn’t found in T20 squad, for series against South Africa. So, sports enthusiasts are expecting him to bid an adieu at any time soon.
MS Dhoni might be laughing off those rumors but his wife Sakshi seems to have decided to put an end to them. Sakshi, on her Instagram story posted a picture with words ‘Its called Rumors’ on it and nothing else. She indirectly rubbished these rumors of Dhoni’s retirement this way.
Recently, Dhoni spoke to media and expressed his liking for home state Jharkhand. After that, a major discussion among political circles was about MSD would join BJP to heat up politics of the state. Rumours also suggest that Dhoni will contest in the Jharkhand assembly elections as a BJP candidate.
Under his captaincy, Indian team won both T20 and ODI world cups and also achieved No.1 position in Tests. Dhoni is considered to be one of the finest captains that Indian team ever had. In 2014, he announced his retirement from Test cricket, but he continued to play other forms of game including IPL. Let us wait and see if the buzz around Dhoni’s retirement will turn out to be true!
Two goats ‘arrested’ in T’gana for grazing on saplings
Hyderabad: Can animals also commit crimes? The answer of Telangana Police appears to be in the affirmative as they “arrested” two goats for grazing on saplings planted by a NGO.
The bizarre incident occurred in Huzurabad town of Karimnagar district after the activists on Tuesday caught the culprits’ “red-handed” and handed them to police. The goats were brought to the police station and tied to a pole in the premises.
Police Inspector Vasamshetty Madhavi told IANS that the goats were released after their owner paid a Rs 1,000 penalty to municipal authorities on Wednesday.
The police took the action on a complaint by activists of ‘Save the Trees’ that goats grazed about 150 saplings planted on the premises of a government-run hospital.
The police official, however, clarified that it was not an arrest as there is no section in the Indian Penal Code to arrest or punish animals.
“We handed over the goats to the owner after he paid the penalty and also warned him not to graze his goats on the saplings planted in public places,” she said.
While this is the first incident of “arrest” of goats, the officials have been imposing fines on owners. A goat-rearer was fined Rs 10,000 after his goats were caught grazing on the saplings planted under ‘Haritha Haram’, the massive plantation programme taken up by the state government. The incident occurred on Wednesday in Narayanpet when District Collector Venkata Rao found the goats grazing on the saplings on the outskirts of Makthal town.
Last week in the same town, municipal authorities had caught a goat for eating away the saplings planted under ‘Haritha Haram’. The goat was tied in Mandal Parishad Development Office premises. A board was also hung around its neck, displaying Rs 2,000 fine against its owner.
In another incident in Sangareddy district, officials imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 on the owner of the goats which grazed on the saplings in Muttangi village.
In Vikarabad district, a village head punished a goat owner by making her plant 20 saplings. Her goat had eaten one plant.
The officials said they were forced to impose fines to discipline goat owners as they were allowing their animals to graze on the saplings planted under the plantation drive.
The government has made the authorities at the town and village levels responsible for protecting the saplings.

She Is Truly Happy With The Result Of Saaho
Well, Superstar Prabhas latest film “Saaho” hasn’t met the expectations of people who went crazy for his Baahubali. But the film has impressed certain sections of the society and perhaps that is the reason why it made so much money at Bollywood box office despite poor reviews from critics.
Though Prabhas stated through his social media page that he is happy with the result, neither him nor the producers or the director of the film have come out in the open, to talk about the film post release. But Bollywood starlet Shraddha Kapoor, who is busy promoting her other release Chhichhore, is facing questions from media regarding Saaho.
Talking about the same, Shraddha expressed that she is the happiest girl on earth for the result of Saaho. “Saaho is the biggest grosser of my career as it touched already 150 crore mark in Hindi. So I’m very happy for the happening and now that Chhichhore is also doing well, I’m just in heaven” said Shraddha.
Perhaps the only celebrity who is expressing her views openly on Saaho result is Shraddha and her positive words are giving quite a solace to fans of the film.

‘Tough To Survive Without Praising Chiru?’, IAS Asks Priyadarshe
Other day comedian Priyadarshe who has met Megastar Chiranjeevi at his residence has shared a picture about it, as he ecstatically states, “I’m always your disciple Chiranjeevi garu”. And this comment invited criticism from a Telugu IAS officer who was rated as one of the 10 most inspiring IAS officers in India.
As Priyadarshi wrote that he is the Ekalavya Sishyudu of Chiranjeevi, an IAS officer named Parikipandla Narahari who hails from Karimnagar of Telangana, responded from his official Twitter handle, asking if surviving in Tollywood is possible only through praising Chiranjeevi.
His tweet read, “Brother Priyadarshi! After watching Chiranjeevi garu’s Rudraveena, I’ve decided to become an IAS officer. You too became an actor and proved it with Mallesham movie. Congratulations on that. But, is it tough to survive in Cinema Field without praising Chiranjeevi?”.
Well, how the comment is sounding is something we could leave it to the IAS officer itself, but frankly speaking, there is nothing like surviving in Telugu industry if you don’t praise Chiru or anyone. All the people with real talent and a bit of smartness, surely succeed here. Maybe Narahari has criticised the flattery Priyadarshi undertook.
Currently, this IAS officer works as Commissioner of Urban Administration Department, Madhya Pradesh and won many awards for his excellence in his capacity.
Singapore Loses Hopes On Amaravati!
It looks like Singapore government, which had played a major role in preparing the master plan and also taking up development of core capital in Amaravati, has lost its hopes on the revival of the project.
According to a report published in a Singapore daily, prospects for the revival of the stalled capital city of Amaravati appears to be dire.
The project came up for discussion at the India Singapore Business and Innovation Summit held a couple of days ago.
Singapore’s ambassador-at-large Tommy Koh sought to know from Indian foreign minister Subrahmanyam Jayashankar whether Amaravati project was “sick, very sick or dead.” But the foreign minister evaded an answer, saying it was the decision of the state government.
Andhra Pradesh finance minister Buggana Rajendranath did not make any mention of the proposed city, a pet project of the previous government, in his speech at the summit at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre.
Buggana, however, made it clear in an interview to Singapore daily The Straits Times, described Amaravati as something of a damp squib that did not figure high in the priorities of the state government, which is struggling to build an industrial base and generate revenue.
“We don’t have the money to build a city. Our priority is bringing up the standard of living, providing equitable development to the entire state, providing an infrastructure for creating a manufacturing base, rather than to build a single city,” he said.
“You have all of these lined up against that one issue. You can have this or that,” Buggana commented.
Singapore has been involved in the project since its start in 2014, when Andhra Pradesh embarked on the venture because it lost its capital city Hyderabad to the newly created state of Telangana.
Surbana Jurong submitted the city’s masterplan in 2015, and a consortium of Ascendas-Singbridge and Sembcorp Development was announced in 2017 as the master developers. It was conceived to be 10 times the size of Singapore, requiring an investment of billions of dollars.
Senior IAS officers P V Ramesh and S S Rawat also made it clear that Amaravati might not be abandoned, but a decision on it may yet take months.
They said the state was in favour of developing a decentralised urban environment rather than concentrating all development in a single, large city.
Kavitha’s close aide to join BJP!
For the first time, a Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA staged a revolt against the party and is all set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party, triggering a sensation in the Telangana political circles.
Mohammad Shakeel, representing Bodhan assembly constituency in Nizamabad district, gave a rude shock to the party on Thursday by meeting BJP MP from Nizamabad Dharmapuri Aravind at the latter’s residence. Both of them discussed the political scenario in the state and the country.
Shakeel was known to be a close associate of former MP and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha.
In fact, during the recent Lok Sabha elections, Kavitha got majority only in Bodhan constituency. However, it is not exactly known why Shakeel has lost the confidence of the TRS leadership.
Shakeel told reporters later that he was ready to resign from the TRS if necessary. He, however, did not immediately disclose anything on his joining the BJP.
“I will hold a press conference in a couple of days and reveal my plans. Till such a time, I will neither confirm nor deny the reports of my joining the BJP,” he said.
The TRS MLA, who is the only Muslim from the party in state assembly, made some sharp comments against the party and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
“Where is the 12 per cent reservations for Muslims as promised by KCR? Even the budgetary allocations for Muslims has not been spent completely. And this year, there is a 40 per cent cut in the minority budget,” he alleged.
He also accused the chief minister of dancing to the tune of the MIM.
“He is only favouring the MIM and not the Muslims,” Shakeel alleged.
Milk Price is Costlier Than Petrol There
In a shocking development, the milk price in Pakistan has surpassed the cost of petrol and diesel. As Muharram was celebrated, the cost of milk has shot up due to its huge demand. The milk was sold at whopping Rs 140 per litre in Karachi and other major cities of Pakistan.
While Petrol is priced at Rs 113 per litre and diesel was priced at Rs 91 per litre, milk surpassed and was sold between Rs 120 per litre and Rs 140 per litre depending on the city. In parts of Sindh province, it was sold for Rs 140 per litre.
During Muharram, Sabeels (stalls) were set up in different parts of the city to offer milk, juices and cold water to the participants of the holy month’s processions. For this, there is a huge demand for milk. Due to the sharp increase in demand, the milk prices have shot up and touched new high. Residents of Karachi, Sindh have rued that they have never seen such huge price for milk in their lifetime.
However, the official price of milk put by the Commissioner’s office is Rs 94 a litre. According to media reports from Karachi, Karachi commissioner Iftikhar Shallwani, who is responsible for controlling the price of milk, couldn’t do anything about the exorbitant rates at which milk is being sold.
Traffic Challans: States Shocks Modi
The new Motor Vehicle Act 2019 that was introduced brought uproar from all corners of the country. Commuters are demanding the government to lay some quality roads and then collect the penalties from traffic offenders.
Right after it was implemented in few states, commuters expressed anger for taking thousands of Rupees in the form of challans. The respective state government has brought this to the notice of the centre but as the government is in no mood to change the rules, the states are amending the law on their own terms.
PM Modi’s own state Gujarat is the first state in the country to introduce a law to bring down the penalties by nearly ninety percent. This brought an embarrassment to the Modi government in New Delhi. Then West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said that her government will not carry out this law in her state.
However, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari is unimpressed with state governments. “To those states who are refusing to enforce the fines, isn’t life more important than money? This was done to save lives,” said Gadkari. Defending the huge penalties, he further said people need to have fear of law but left the option to state governments, whether to implement new Motor Vehicle Act.
