The new challan rules and the new Motor Vehicle Act has been creating a lot of buzz among the public, calling it the most upsetting regulations ever. The huge penalties and hefty challans have turned worrisome for people on the road. While the fear of getting stuck in a frightening amount of loss, people are also questing the maintenance of roads to the government.

The debate is not stopping anytime sooner on new traffic rules. In the midst of the concern, comes a new case where a man sets his bike on fire after he was caught by traffic police on a drunk and drive case. The man had been issued a challan for drunk driving at Triveni complex in Chirag Delhi.

The biker, Rakesh, was stopped after suspecting his body language and he was found under the influence of alcohol. After his bike was seized, Rakesh, out of anger, set fire to the motorbike. A case has been registered under the IPC in this regard.

Just a few days ago, another case where a rickshaw driver was caught and issued a challan of Rs 42000 has created a huge buzz. The driver who said that he bought the auto at the rate of Rs 25k just seven days ago, went into shock when he heard the challan fees. He said it is just unfair to him.

The strict rules have triggered both hilarious memes on social media and anger reactions on the road from the public. With a spectrum of emotions and reactions, the public raises a lot of questions to the government and looks like the new traffic violation rules are unacceptable to many.

‘Fake NRI’ shocking Kidnap drama to his parents

On Wednesday, the elderly couple from Hyderabad called the Cyberabad police on their 100 helplines and said that their son, who is 32-year-old has been kidnapped. The victim is said to a London-based NRI and the couple said he was abducted from a cab near Hyderabad airport.

Hearing this, the cops commenced the massive search operation for the suspects and victim. But, after a thorough investigation, the information that they got has shocked the cops.

It is reported that the NRI lied about the kidnap to his parents. The story goes like – The man told his parents that he got into the car at the airport and the cab driver physically assaulted, followed by snatching Rs.2 lakh from him which he had at that time.

The inspector said that they have investigated his flight details and his phone calls. The investigation spilt the truth that there was no passenger in the London flight with the mentioned name at all.

When traced his number, police found that the man is in Chennai, where he was working in the hospitality sector. Later, the cops concluded that the whole story has been made up to his parents.

In fact, he even lied about his job and the place from the last two years. It is true that the man said he was leaving for London for a job to his parents but he lived in Chennai all this while. His parent believed otherwise.

On the other hand, the man also took a loan of Rs 50 lakh. He was supposed to get married in the next 15 days and clear the debts. But he had no money which made him create the whole drama. In conclusion, the police did not file any case on the man as he was already disturbed and the family was informed about the fake story. Hearing this, the parent withdrew the complaint.

Chandrayaan 2: Lost Communication with the Lander, ISRO Confirms

The most awaited Chandrayaan 2 landing on Moon’s lunar surface might not have happened as expected as there were updates till the last few seconds and when it was time to hear about safe landing, ISRO lost communication with the lander.

Scientists are suspecting the crash landing as the lander module appears to have crashed. PM Modi urged scientists not to lose hope and he said ‘I’ll be proud of you either way’ to Dr K Sivan.

And while addressing the crowd, Modi said that has been accomplished so far is not a small feat and it is an incredible serve to scientists and to the world. Our mission will go on whether we get a good news or bad.

The descent of Vikram Lander was as per plan and went normal upto 2.1km from the lunar surface and the communication link of Lander with ground station was lost then. ISRO Chariman conveyed the same and said they are currently analysing the data.

The deviation we saw on the graph during the last few seconds was unexpected and it appeared to have gained speed as it lost altitude.

Stop Barking Like Dogs: Pawan Kalyan

YSRCP leaders’ main allegation on Pawan has been his alleged shady deals and close ties with their arch-rival and former AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu. It looks like Pawan has finally decided to give a fitting retort to all the allegations.

In his speech during his visit to Dindi yesterday, Pawan lashed out at the ruling party leaders over their constant allegations that he took crores of rupees from Chandrababu. “Don’t just bark like dogs. Your party is in power. Go ahead and prove that I took money from any party. I will bid goodbye to politics if you prove that I took even a single penny or any post from anybody,” Pawan said.

Well, Pawan definitely put his point across and the ball is now in YSRCP’s court. Will Jagan and his partymen go all-out and prove Pawan’s corruption or ignore his challenge and continue to target him with baseless allegations?

But Baba Bhaskar also asked the ladies of the house to not wear short-pants and tight-shorts during his tenure. This is quite absurd and regressive, and if people noticed his words carefully, surely he’s going to be out from the house soon if he faces elimination at any time.

Despite the aggressive postures adopted by Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu against the YSR Congress party, he is not able to stem the rot in the party.

Apparently lost hope on the revival of party’s fortunes, the TDP leaders are looking for greener pastures.

While many leaders are looking up to the Bharatiya Janata Party, some others feel the YSRC is the best bet to safeguard their political future.

Close on the heels of Visakha Dairy chairman Adari Anand and his followers who chose to dump the TDP and defect to the YSR Congress party, another senior TDP leader and former MLA from Ramachandrapuram Thota Trimurthulu is also planning to call it quits to the party.

Trimurthulu abstained from the TDP review meeting conducted by Naidu for East Godavari district at Kakinada on Thursday.

Though Naidu personally called Trimurthulu over phone and asked him to attend the meeting, the former MLA preferred to skip the meeting.

Apparently, Trimurthulu already had a talk with YSRC president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy recently and cleared the decks for his entry into the party. Jagan is learnt to have offered YSRC district president post to Trimurthulu.

Similarly, another former MLA and senior leader Vangaveeti Radhakrishna from Vijayawada also is getting ready for defection.

He, however, is jumping into Jana Sena Party of actor Pawan Kalyan. Radha met Jana Sena leader Nadendla Manohar at Dindi and held discussions with him.

Interestingly, all these are prominent Kapu leaders in their respective districts. Many more Kapu leaders are expected desert the sinking TDP ship to jump into safer boats shortly.

The latest buzz in the industry is that Chiranjeevi has sent a message to Rajamouli through his son Ram Charan to watch the film before finalizing the total runtime of the movie.

Chiranjeevi wants to take his inputs for this mega period drama made with whopping Rs 225 Cr.

As Rajamouli is an expert in handling mammoth projects, Chiranjeevi wants his second opinion on the final cut made by director Surender Reddy.

At present, the re-recording work by Julius Packiam is underway. Julius is famous for providing BG score for Bollywood biggies such as “Bhajrangi Bhaijaan” and “Bharat”.

Although Chiru and Ram Charan are super confident and extremely happy with the total output, they are seeking Rajamouli’s inputs for making it tighter and correct any loose ends.

Rajamouli will return to Hyderabad next week from a foreign schedule of “RRR”. He may watch the output once he returns.

It should be remembered that Rajamouli had also seen “Saaho” when it was in the post-production stage and gave his inputs but the team could not implement all the suggestions he had made due to time limitations.

On the other hand, the film’s trailer is also being readied which will be unveiled on the 15th of this month.

In a continuation of our us series of Inside Celebrity offices, we went to look at the newly designed office of hero Naga Shourya’s production house Ira Creations.

This office in Hyderabad serves as a basis for their production activities as well as for his creative space.

The first thing one notices in this office is a quote on the wall – “F*ck Average, Be Legendary.” Well, he doesn’t like to be an average hero. He has set eyes on the higher position.

After buying a complete floor in a building, Naga Shourya brought in interior designers and made them convert the open space into a creative den filled with movie-related themes.

Walls are decorated with Oscar statute replicas movie posters. Hulk figurines, film rolls, and cameras are everywhere adding the feel of a movie studio.

Naga Shourya is now busy with as many five movies and several of them are being made on their banner.

The young star needs a place to interact with various filmmakers in a lavish space. This office is one of the best-designed film offices in Hyderabad.

ISRO chief breaks down, Modi hugs, consoles him

Bengaluru: Years of hard work literally came to naught for ISRO on Saturday after it lost communication with Moon lander Vikram, and no amount of words could put it right for the scientists at ISTRAC here.

Despite a motivational speech by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had rushed in to watch the mission’s success late last night and then again was with the Team Chandrayaan-2 to speak to them, ISRO Chairman K. Sivan could not hold his tears and broke down as the PM was about to leave.

In a very visible emotional outburst, Sivan was seen in tears. Modi who was being accompanied by the scientist on his way out, immediately hugged him and held him. Words were exchanged as a disturbed and disappointed Sivan took time to gain his composure.

Did Vikram lose control and crash land on the moon?

Did India”s first moon lander Vikram crash on to the lunar surface resulting in the sudden snapping of the communication link with the Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter?

All was going well with the 1,471 kg Vikram that began its descent at about 1.38 a.m. on Saturday from an altitude of 30 km at a velocity of 1,680 metres per second.

Announcing the snapping of communication links, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman K. Sivan said that the performance of the lander was as per the plan till it was 2.1 km from the moon surface.

The communication link got snapped after that, he added.

In an official statement, the ISRO said: “This is Mission Control Centre. Vikram lander descent was as planned and normal performance was observed up to an altitude of 2.1 km. Subsequently communication from lander to the ground stations was lost. Data is being analysed.”

On the screen at ISRO”s telemetry, tracking and command network (Istrac) centre, it was seen that Vikram slightly changed from its planned path and then the communication link got snapped.

The lander was smoothly coming down with the ISRO officials applauding at regular intervals and their faces beaming with pride.

The lander successfully completed its rough braking phase with its descent speed going down well.

So what went wrong at the last moment?

According to an ISRO official, the lander could have lost its control when its thrusters were switched off during its descent and crash-landed snapping the communication links.

Meanwhile all is not lost as far as the Rs 978 crore Chandrayaan-2 mission is concerned.

“Only 5 per cent of the mission has been lost – Vikram the lander and Pragyan the rover – while the remaining 95 per cent – that is the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter – is orbiting the moon successfully,” an ISRO official told who did not want to be identified.

With a mission life of one year, the Orbiter can take several pictures of the moon and send it to the ISRO.

The Orbiter can also take pictures of the lander to know its status, he added.

The Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft comprised three segments – the Orbiter (weighing 2,379 kg, eight payloads), ”Vikram” (1,471 kg, four payloads) and ”Pragyan” (27 kg, two payloads).

On July 22, the Rs 978 crore Chandrayaan-2 was launched into the space by India”s heavy lift rocket Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle-Mark III (GSLV Mk III) in a text book style.

After five earth-bound orbit raising activities, Chandrayaan-2 was inserted into lunar orbit. On September 2, Vikram separated from the orbiter.

Sujeeth Down With Dengue

It isn’t easy being Sujeeth Reddy at the moment. The amount of malevolence thrown his way for making Saaho into what it has shaped into, is not only unfair but also an indication of how we love to seek a scapegoat to justify a disastrous outcome, although it is, and should be, a collective responsibility.

Sujeeth who has gone into a shell after the ceaseless attack is now down with dengue fever.

The young director who was suffering from feverishness for a week, finally got medical tests done, and it is indeed, dengue. The blood test showed a marked decline in platelets.

Treatment for dengue is on. And Sujeeth is recuperating at home with his mother to take care of him.

In the meanwhile we suggest the haters simply back off. Portraying the leading man as the victim and the director as the culprit is not just unfair it’s a sickeningly biased attitude.

Superstar Trolled for Smoking at Ganesh Utsav

Recently, a video of Salman Khan, in which the actor is seen smoking a cigarette on the sidelines of a Ganpati utsav, has gone viral on social media and has attracted a lot of criticism for him.

Salman participated in the Ganpati celebrations hosted by his sister Aprita. The actor danced his heart out during the celebrations and later went to a separate location to have a smoke while the celebrations continued.

While Salman was earlier praised for participating in the celebrations with such enthusiasm, he later became the center of criticism when the video of him smoking surfaced online.
