Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati, which was initially set for a July release, has been postponed, and the team is yet to officially confirm a new release date. However, with major films like Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Kingdom, War 2, and Coolie lined up until the end of August, the makers of Ghaati are now eyeing the first week of September. If reports are accurate, the film might hit theaters on September 5th, potentially clashing with Rashmika Mandanna’s Girlfriend on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, who stepped away from Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Ghaati stars Anushka Shetty in a pivotal role. Though the film’s shoot has been completed, post-production faced several delays, causing the release to be pushed back multiple times. Now, the team is working towards finalizing the September 5th date, hoping to release it before the festival season begins and other big-ticket films dominate the screens.

Meanwhile, Rahul Ravindran’s directorial Girlfriend, featuring Rashmika Mandanna, is also being prepared for a September 5th release. The team has already begun promotional activities, setting the stage for what could be an exciting box office clash between Tollywood’s Lady Superstar and the National Crush.

Additionally, Teja Sajja’s Mirai is tentatively locked for the same date, but with the current competition and uncertainty, there are speculations that the film might reconsider its release plans. An official update on Mirai is expected soon, which will clarify the release schedule for these competing projects.
