After the release of her last 2 movies Singam 3 and Katamarayudu a couple of years ago, a lot has happened in Chennai beauty Shruti Haasan’s life. Shruti fell in love with a London-based Italian theatre actor named Michael Corsale. She took a long break from movies and concentrated on her music career in London.

However, Shruti returned to Chennai after she broke up with Michael earlier this summer. Since then, she has been on a look out for the right scripts for her acting comeback. Now, it’s been learned that Shruti is keen to follow the footsteps of heroines like Nayanthara, Anushka, and Taapsee.

Apparently, the Haasan girl is on a hunt for female-oriented scripts which can be simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil. She is even said to have rejected a couple of Telugu scripts in the process. She recently signed a project each in Tamil and Hindi opposite Vijay Sethupathi and Vidyut Jammwal respectively. Whether her dream of doing a solo lead will come true in the near future remains to be seen.

Centre to probe data theft by KCR government

The National Democratic Alliance government at the Centre will initiate a probe into the complaints of illegal accumulation and integration of personal data pertaining to citizens of Telangana by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government through ‘Samagra Vedika’ initiative.

An assurance to this effect was given by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy to a delegation of Congress leaders from the state led by AICC official spokesperson Dasoju Sravan, who alleged that the data was being misused by TRS party for political gains.

He pointed out to a recent speech by IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan in which he had confessed that the State Government was using an algorithm which gathered the private data pertaining to various citizens available with various departments of the State and otherwise.

“The statements made by Jayesh Ranjan clearly reflect that the Government of Telangana has illegally indulged in secretive collection, integration and storage of data, more particularly, private and personal information of the citizens without their permission or consent,” he said

“It is apparent that the Government of Telangana is literally tracking every digital transaction of citizens from various government departments, private organisations and banks and financial institutions including personal emails, passwords etc,” Sravan said in the complaint.

Sravan alleged that the Telangana Government appeared to have dubious intent to utilize this massive people’s data for political or private purposes and hence, without any prior consent or without any specific reason has indulged in collation and storage of large amount of private information of individuals/citizens.

Describing the initiative as completely arbitrary, illegal and contrary to the law established by the Supreme Court, he said that the Supreme Court, in its judgement pertaining to Aadhar Law delivered in September 2018, had categorically opined that the right to privacy can’t be impinged without a just, fair and reasonable law.

Narasimhan To Administer J&K?

If the reports coming from New Delhi are to be believed, Telangana Governor E S L Narasimhan is likely to be appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.

On Monday, the NDA government took a historic decision revoking Article 370 that granted autonomous status to Jammu and Kashmir as an independent state and declaring it to be an integral part of India.

The Centre also issued a gazette notification declaring Jammu and Kashmir as two separate Union Territories – Jammu and Kashmir region as UT with legislature and Ladakh-Leh region as another UT without legislature.

Following this, the Centre is planning to appoint a Lt Governor for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sources said the Home Ministry has zeroed in on Narasimhan for the job. Orders to this effect are likely to be issued shortly.

Apparently, the Centre felt Narasimhan is the most suitable person for the Lt Governor post for various reasons.

First, he is a retired IPS officer who had worked as Intelligence Bureau chief and in other capacities in the Ministry of Home Affairs. Secondly, Narasimhan is also a close associate of National Security Advisor Ajit Dhoval.

Thirdly, Narasimhan had a fair understanding of controlling the law and order, as he had worked in the dreaded Maoist regions like Chhattisgarh.

Fourthly, he also has a fair understanding of the issues emerging out of the formation of a new state or UT, as was evident from the issues he had handled during the bifurcation of combined Andhra Pradesh state.

Mojo TV ex-boss swindled Rs 5 cr staff money?

It is now official. Employees of Mojo TV, which created a sensation in the Telugu electronic media circles for over a year with its mobile journalism, issued a statement that the channel is being wound up.

According to the statement, the new management of the channel assured to give three months’ of salary to all the employees and also to accommodate them in other channels depending on the requirement.

But what was shocking in the statement that the “working journalists” of Mojo TV, blamed it on former chief executive officer of popular news channel TV9 V Ravi Prakash and former CEO of Mojo TV Revathi for the sorry state of affairs in the channel.

According to them, Mojo TV was founded by Ravi Prakash and his associates from the money siphoned off from TV9 illegally.

“We all thought Mojo TV was being run from out of the profits of TV9. But now, we have realised that it was established on a fraudulent foundation. We should have suspected the foul play when we were paid salaries in cash, instead of through bank transactions,” the statement said.

It also further alleged that the ex-CEO of Mojo TV had swindled Rs 5 crore money to be paid to the staff towards three months’ salary.

After Ravi Prakash’s scam was exposed, the ex-CEO of Mojo TV approached the new management of TV9 and admitted the fraud in launching Mojo TV.

She said she would convince the staff to wind up the channel by paying them three months’ salary.

“Accordingly, she collected Rs 5 crore from the management but did not inform the same to the staff. When the deadline ended, the management insisted us to quit the jobs. When we demanded three months’ salary, the management clearly told us our accounts had already been settled through the ex-CEO. It was a shock to us,” the statement said.

Finally, the management showed a lot of concern to us and agreed to pay us our dues, the staff said.

Other day Janasena president Pawan Kalyan has toured Bhimavaram and conducted a parliamentary constituency meeting in Narsapuram will all the leaders and cadres of the party. But the one person who is missing in action at this meeting is mega brother Nagababu.

For the uninitiated, Nagababu contested in the recent election as Janasena party’s MP candidate from Narsapuram and got defeated by YSRC candidate. Since then, the mega brother is not so active in politics and is not seen anywhere in Janasena meetings too. But he was supposed to attend the review meeting conducted by Pawan Kalyan, isn’t it?

Going by the pictures of the event, Nagababu couldn’t be seen at the event and wonders if he missed it due to other commitments or skipped it intentionally.

The latest development from the national capital is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is heard to have personally called the Chief Ministers of all the states in the country and informed about the union government’s decision on Kashmir issue. Also Modi asked about the law & order issue in the respective states and told them to be cautious.

On the other hand, the Centre is swiftly doing its work on the Kashmir issue. Principal Secretary of the Home Ministry will be flying to Srinagar later in the day and he will take a look at the security arrangements being made in the Kashmir valley. Apart from the valley, the centre has issued advisory in sensitive states like Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Odisha.

In his first-ever public visit after the poll defeat, Pawan Kalyan looked composed in Bhimavaram. However, he made some interesting political comments during his meeting with party leaders.

Pawan claimed that YSR Congress Party won because of Janasena as his party had contested alone. Pawan indicated that YCP would have lost had TDP and Janasena would have contested together in 2019 polls. Pawan also vowed that he would not merge his party with BJP under any circumstances. Pawan also denied having any secret pact with TDP in 2019 polls. Reasoning that he wouldn’t have lost in Bhimavaram or Gajuwaka, had he had a secret understanding with TDP, Pawan said he would have got a weak candidate from TDP in Bhimavaram, Gajuwaka if he had any secret alliance with TDP.

Talking about his defeat in Bhimavaram, Pawan said he is proud of his defeat. He said he was never after winning. Pawan said had he wanted to win as MLA, he said he would had contested on PRP ticket itself in 2009 itself. He also thanked everyone who voted for Janasena for believing him and the party.

Pawan also criticized CM Jagan’s decisions on liquor ban and pensions. Citing that the prohibition was a failure in the US and it led to the rise of drugs, Pawan asked Jagan to consider all the consequences before taking a decision. Pawan also criticized Jagan for not keeping his word on pensions. “Rs 3000 pension was promised. Whereas the government has increased only Rs 250 now. Even that pension is also not reaching to all on time,” Pawan commented.

At the same time, Pawan has taken a dig at TDP. He said he wouldn’t talk, criticize the government like how TDP is doing. Pawan said he would like to respect people’s mandate and would like to give some time to the newly elected government.

Meanwhile, Pawan inspired the party leaders and workers by instilling confidence. He said he is inspired by socialist movements and its leaders. Pawan is hopeful of Janasena playing an active role in future politics. He said failures and success are part and parcel of life. Pawan said he has come into politics to serve people. He said he hasn’t come into politics for his individual growth, development. Overall, Pawan’s visit and speech were a big hit. The Bhimavaram Janasena leaders are quite happy with Pawan’s words.

No one spoke openly about the politics that are getting piled up inside the Bigg Boss house until the exit of TV9 journalist Jaffer. After his eviction from the show, Jaffer openly criticised this group and exposed it to the public as well.

With tears rolling from his eyes, as he is about the catch the exit door, Jaffer uttered in a low voice, “Varun, don’t ever say that Baba Bhaskar is doing politics, don’t say that”. And then, he also commented in that sobbing voice, “Vithika, don’t ever bash Sreemukhi like that”. Later after reaching the stage, upon the insistence of Nagarjuna, Jaffer has further questioned Varun Sandesh about the groupism.

Jaffer revealed that Varun is leading a faction that has Rahul Sipligunj as the vice-captain while Vithika is the de facto leader who operates through the back of her husband. Now that this group is exposed, there is another girl-group that has V6 Savitri (Siva Jyothi), Himaja, Ashu Reddy and Rohini as the participating members.

Last year, Samrat is the one to establish such a group in the Bigg Boss house and that didn’t click with the audiences. We have to see what happens to Varun Sandesh’s group this year.

‘Lust Stories’ is one of those films that popularized the concept of Anthology movies in India though such experiments are made much early in Bollywood. An anthology film will have 4-5 segments and each one will be directed by a different director. For the kind of content Lust Stories had, it surely got the acclaim.

And now, we hear that four Telugu directors are joining hands to make a similar anthology film for Netflix. They are none other than Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Nandini Reddy, Tarun Bhaskar and Sankalp Reddy. While Nandini and Tarun are known for their rom-coms, Sandeep’s Arjun Reddy is so big that all the tinsel towns in India are eagerly looking for his next. Then we have Sankalp Reddy who came up with India’s best underwater and space movies.

Now that these four are joining hands, one wonders what could be the concept of the movie that will be directed by them for Netflix. Rakshasudu had a fairly good first weekend despite rains. However, it will need to hold well for a week or two to be a profitable venture for its buyers.

2) iSmart Shankar: iSmart Shankar continued to do well on the weekend despite many new releases. It is one of the true blockbusters of the year.

It is likely to run for fifty days in major centers across Telugu states.

3) Hobbs and Shaw: The new action adventure from Fast and Furious series has taken Indian box office by storm.

It had a very good first weekend at the box office despite underwhelming reviews. It is getting the thumbs up from filmgoers.

4) Guna 369: Karthikeya’s new film isn’t a damp squib like Hippie, but it isn’t a blockbuster like RX 100 either.

It had a pretty ordinary weekend and needs to recover a lot in the coming days.

5) Dear Comrade: Vijay Deverakonda’s film crashed at the box office in its first week itself. It ran into deficits on weekdays, which means its business has come to a close on Sunday.

Jagan shows India how govt jobs can be created!

When all the state governments and Chief Ministers of respective states in the country have stopped ‘mega recruitments’ in government sector, saying that there are already ‘excess employees’ and there is no further scope for creating ‘new vacancies’ in government departments, AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has shown the way pf how new jobs could be provided.

As the saying goes ‘if there is a will, there is a way’, Jagan proved within two months of coming to power that if a CM has a will to provide government jobs to unemployed, it can be done without any difficulty.

Jagan successfully created 3.11 lakh jobs in government sector in AP within two months, for which students from Intermediate level to PG-level are eligible, a record of seats, achieved by any CM in the country.

No CM of a state could ever think of bringing a new administrative system called ‘Village/ Ward Secretariat’ to deliver better services to people. Jagan did it which created 1.27 lakh jobs for unemployed.

Also, no CM of a state thought of bringing ‘Village/ Ward volunteers’ system to ensure effective delivery of government schemes to genuine beneficiaries. This created 1.85 lakh new jobs in government sector.

Normally, the state governments take years together to fill even meagre number of vacancies in government departments, that are notified very rarely.

But Jagan has planned these recruitment drives in such a meticulous manner that the recruitments will be completed within two months by next month in September.

AP officials were initially shocked at Jagan’s decision to fill over 3.11 lakh jobs within two months. They even mocked and fired satires at Jagan in their internal discussion saying him ‘inexperienced’ and has no ‘administrative skills’.

Despite this, Jagan went ahead and made it a reality which forced the officials to change their opinion on Jagan.

Officials now believe that it’s possible to make this ‘impossible’ a reality in two months, if there is a CM who has a will to give government jobs to unemployed.

This “Jagan model of recruitment’ has now become not only ‘talk of AP’ but the ‘talk of entire India’, with CMs of various states keenly observing and appreciating Jagan for his innovative thoughts and ideas in job creation in government sector.

Clearly, Rakul wants to start her busy working day with a colour that makes her happy and we can bet that she looks absolutely stunning.

The 28-year-old was last seen in May alongside Ajay Devgn in the Bollywood rom-com “De De Pyaar De”. The actress is simultaneously working in Tamil,. Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films.

Rakul will next be seen in Milap Zaveri’s “Marjaavaan”, which also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria. The action drama is slated to hit theatres in October.
