40 Crs For Devarakonda Is A Joke!
Apparently, the news is doing rounds everywhere that sensational star Vijay Devarakonda has refused to star in the Hindi remake of Dear Comrade at the cost of 40 crores remuneration. Now that is something for cinema lovers to chew on. So what might have happened?
Despite all the hype created, ‘Dear Comrade’ ended up as a loss venture for distributors as the film might see almost 10-15 crores loss overall if the pre-release figures are anything to go by. And to promote the film on a big level, the makers have first unveiled the news that Karan Johar got the rights and later shared a pic with him. After the release, it looks like they want to add more spice to the promotions and hence the PR teams created the news of Devarakonda rejected Bollywood offer.
Okay, he might have rejected it, but the figure 40 crores is what makes the news sound like a fake one. When the likes of Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan are taking 50 crores, who would anyone pay 40 cr for this newcomer (in Hindi)? Karan Johar makes flop movies many times, that doesn’t mean he is foolish.
Day 1: Good Talk, But Bad Collections!
Other day Tollywood has witnessed the release of Bellamkonda Srinivas’ film Rakshasudu, which got average to above-average reviews from critics. Going by the word of mouth, surely many expected that the film will become the biggest opener for the young hero.
Surprisingly Rakshasudu posted only 2 crores share on its first day from the Telugu states, while overseas is also not that encouraging. Back in the day, Srinivas’ flop film like Kavacham made 1.75 crore share from the two states of AP and Telangana even though it got a disastrous talk on the first day. Going by that, Rakshasudu should make 3-4 crores easily. So what went wrong?
Some say that back to back flop films have affected the credibility of Bellamkonda’s movies. And then, lack of mass elements are not helping this film storm into B & C centres big time. Also, the rain added to the woes as the incessant monsoon is not making many rushes to theatres. All these factors might have combinedly affected Rakshasudu.
On the other side, trade circuits are eagerly waiting to see the raise in Saturday and Sunday collections.
Meet The Press: Is Saaho Director Unprepared?
While the makers of Saaho are usually releasing a teaser poster to announce the date as to when the teaser poster of the main poster will release, they have other day surprised with the director’s meet the press program. Without any hungama, they made director Sujeeth interact with the media.
Guess what, Sujeeth has come up quite unprepared for the questioning, as he couldn’t give some solid answers for few of the questions posed. While he stated that Visual Effects is the reason for the delay of the film and postponement from August 15th to 30th, he actually evaded giving direct answers to certain questions.
As media is quick to ask why Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy got exited from the project, Sujeeth hasn’t addressed it but stated that roping in four composers for four songs in a film is not a new thing. At the same time, he has dodged questions related to Saaho budget and the nativity of the film as many are feeling like it is looking like a dubbed Hindi movie.
Maybe the young director should come more prepared for the media because, in the coming few weeks, these questions will keep raining on him.
My Wife Is Highest Tax Payer, PVP – Nani’s War Gets Personal
Entrepreneur, film producer, and YCP leader PVP is back in news. He has been targeting his opponent and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani every now and then. PVP, who lost to Nani with a tender majority, has shared that his wife is the highest tax payer in AP and took potshots at Kesineni Nani.
Stating that his wife Jhansi Sureddi has paid a whopping Rs 44.78 Crore tax on 31st July which is highest in Andhra Pradesh, PVP in a post on his social media page hit out at his rival Kesineni Nani and challenged him to be a role model tax payer. Along with this, a picture of the tax receipt was also posted by PVP.
The verbal war between PVP and Kesineni Nani has become personal with each taking pot shots at one another. In his FB post, PVP said, “The tax paid by your dad, his dad and you together in the last 90 years would be lesser than the tax I have paid in a year. If you are a man, be a role-model tax payer.”
These comments have been directly indicated at Kesineni Nani whose father, fore-father have been in the transport business. Nani and his aides are said to be fuming over PVP for his post and waiting for a perfect time to give a befitting counter. Nani had leveled severe allegations against PVP and his alleged financial fraud during 2019 poll campaign. Since then the war of words between PVP and Nani continues to take place every now and then
Nimmagadda Gets Bail, Can’t Leave Serbia
Industrialist and film producer Nimmagadda Prasad, who was detained by Interpol in Belgrade of Serbia, has been released on the condition that he is not permitted to leave Belgrade as the matter is in court. Nimmagadda is a key accused in the corruption cases being probed against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Vadarevu-Nizampatnam Port and Industrial Corridor (Vanpic) project. He has been charged under various codes by UAE Federal Criminal Code under Article 5/5, 44, 225, 227, 228, 230, 399.
Interpol had issued a Red Corner notice on September 5, 2016 in the case following a request from the country Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) who had urged for Nimmagadda’s posession in the above case. After issual of Red Corner notice, Nimmagadda had traveled to Britain, Singapore and other countries but no where he was detained. But when he is in Serbia, Serbia police had detained him on July 27 and took him into their custody. Nimmagadda was produced in the High Court of Belgrade and the court has permitted the detaining of Nimmagadda.
“The detaining comes into force from July 27, 8.20 Am on wards. The court will review the matter for every two months and likely to extend the detention orders up to 1 year. The UAE should initiate the process and take the accused in a year,” opined the Serbia court.
The court said detention is allowed in their country without hearing the accused’s version. It further said that Serbian laws are strict and won’t allow an accused to stay in their country. However, the court has released Nimmagadda on the condition that he cannot leave the country. It is still not clear whether Nimmagadda was released on conditional bail or was he released upon the intervention of Indian Foreign Ministry.
Meanwhile, Nimmagadda Prasad has informed the CBI court in Hyderabad about his inability to attend the CBI court on Friday. Nimmagadda, who was granted bail by the CBI court, had informed the court about his Europe visit and he was detained in Serbia by the local police. Interpol has been informed about Nimmagadda’s detention.
Jagan’s Silence
TDP leaders are demanding CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to break his silence on Nimmagadda’s arrest in Serbia in related to the cases against Jagan. Ex-Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has challenged Jagan Mohan Reddy to reveal his business deals with Nimmagadda Prasad related to the Vanpic. He demanded Jagan to break his silence on Nimmagadda’s arrest. “Vanpic is a Rs 16,000-crore international scam. The then government, headed by Jagan’s father, gave 28,000 acres to Nimmagadda and, in turn, the latter invested Rs 850 crore in firms owned by Jagan under quid pro quo. Jagan should reveal all the facts,” Yanamala said in his statement.
Kesineni & Vallabhaneni Missing In TDP?
Telugu Desam has been holding coordinating committee meetings so that leaders can get in touch with party workers, supporters and sympathizers. Post the election results, many such meetings were held in various districts and on Saturday it was the turn of Krishna district.
However, two important leaders have skipped this key meeting which has become a talking point now in TDP sources. They are Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani and Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi. Why these two elected representatives skipped the meeting and what are the reasons behind their absent, are the things TDP sources widely debating.
At a time when BJP is doing ‘Operation Akarsh’ in the state, did these two give any hint of quitting TDP is a million dollar question. Especially Kesineni Nani who is very aggressive these days. He is not hesitating to criticize leaders within TDP who according to him are doing silly politics.
In the coordinating committee meetings, TDP is discussing about strengthening the party from grassroot level and also present political scenario in the country.
Big Twist: Devineni Avinash To Quit TDP?
Devineni Avinash who unsuccessfully contested from Gudivada assembly constituency on behalf of TDP is set to join YSR Congress party. This young leader is said to have received a proper assurance from the ‘FAN’ party that he would be given a prominent position.
Along with Avinash, Kadiyala Buchibabu, former MPTCs, and ZPTCs are also likely to leave TDP and join YSRCP. We hear that Avinash will join YSRCP in the presence of CM YS Jagan and date will be finalized very soon. Jagan is occupied with multiple works in this month. After returning from Jerusalem, Jagan will fly to the US for a week. Probably after that Avinash would take up FAN flag.
According to YSRCP sources, Avinash is likely to given the charge of Vijayawada East constituency but we are yet to get a confirmation. Meanwhile, when the media tried to contact Avinash for a comment, he remained unavailable.
Fresh rumours on Prabhas wedding
We all know Young Rebel Star Prabhas is the most eligible bachelor and over umpteenth time, there came rumors in the media about his wedding. It is said that Prabhas’ family is searching for a suitable girl since very long time and we have a fresh unconfirmed report yet again.
As per the rumors doing rounds, Prabhas is likely to tie knot with an NRI girl. The wedding is expected to take place after the release of ‘Saaho’ which is scheduled on August 30th. The report further added that girl’s family resides in the United States and holds multiple businesses in Telugu states as well as in the US. The family members of Prabhas and the girl have already held talks and very soon they would take thing forwards.
But how authentic these reports are is something yet to be known. Prabhas always keeps mum when it comes to his personal space while his PR team too doesn’t give much importance unless it gets a nod from Prabhas himself.
So we need to wait for an official announcement from Prabhas or his family. Till then we have let go these rumours.

Finally, the so called female-centric movie of Payal Rajput got a title and the first look of the film is launched by none other than her Venky Mama co-star Venkatesh today. ‘RDX Love’ is the title of the movie and the poster has this RX100 beauty oozing loads of sex appeal.
In the poster, while Payal stands in a curvaceous stretching pose, the hero is seen holding her leg over his shoulder. When Kriti Sanon did a crawling act at Mahesh Babu’s legs, the likes of Samantha has termed it a regressive one. Manchu Lakshmi and Rakul Preet fired on Fashion Designer S/o Ladies Tailor poster where the hero is measuring the circumference of heroine. And now that a hero is doing the same thing, this time holding a girl’s leg, will they make similar comments is the question now.
While feminists are of the opinion that the poster is looking sexy, those trollers who have back then fired at Samantha, Rakul and Manchu Lakshmi are now looking forward to their response over this poster.
On the other hand, one wonders if Payal keeps on doing the similar glamour stuff all the time as her RX100 feat is no exception from this.
Pic Talk: Mahesh’s Train Love Story Begins
Leaving no stone unturned and taking no breaks, Mahesh is quickly wrapping his upcoming film Sarileru Neekevvaru under the direction of F2 maker Anil Ravipudi. Here comes another interesting pic from the shooting spot of Sarileru Neekevvaru as they have started their journey yet again.
Like we said already, the first half of this episode is filled with a train journey which happens to be both a laugh riot and also a cute love story. Apparently, this episode involves Mahesh coming home from Kashmir to Kurnool via train, and that’s where he meets heroine Rashmika Mandanna and her family. They say this episode is going to be a laugh riot in theatres as the laughter express has no brakes at all.

Non-Bailable Arrest Warrant Against Hero Vishal
In a shocking development, a non-bailable warrant (NBW) has been issued against actor Vishal. The arrest warrant was issued by a local Chennai court in the case filed by the Income Tax Department over the non-payment of TDS by his production house Vishal Film Factory for a period of five years.
Apparently, Vishal was summoned to appear in front of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court-II (ACMM-II) and the actor failed to appear before the judge in related to case. With this, justice S Malarmathi has issued an arrest warrant against Vishal.
Vishal’s counsel submitted to judge Malarmathi that the actor did not received any summons in connection to the case, the public prosecutor for Income Tax department Sheela argued that how did the accused’s counsel file a memo of appearance and a petition to condone the absence of the accused.
Public prosecutor Sheela has also submitted the acknowledgment for the receipt of summons by accused Vishal and argued that this was the second such summon sent to Vishal and still he has avoided to attend.
Income Tax Department’s counsel has urged for the issue of a non-bailable warrant against the accused. The court recorded the submissions of both the counsels and concurred with the submissions of public prosecutor M Sheela and issued the NBW against Vishal.
According to Income Tax Department, Vishal-owned Vishal Film Factory located in Vadapalani had deducted TDS from the employees and it hadn’t remitted the deducted TDS into the government account for the last 5 years. The IT department had carried out a raid in 2017 against Vishal Film Factory.
It is learnt that the Income Tax department had sent several notices to Vishal to appear before it but the actor failed to do so. With this, finally, the IT department knocked the court’s door and issued summons from the court on July 24 by ACMM. Now, justice has adjourned the case to Aug 28.
Allu Arjun Targets Rangasthalam Record?
Allu Arjun who is teaming up with Sukumar is eyeing for Rangasthalam record. Apparently, Bunny wants to break Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam’s Box Office record with one of his next films – AA19 or AA20. As he teamed up with Trivikram and Sukumar respectively, Bunny is said to be keen on the films he has chosen and wants them to have a good release with proper planning to score BO records.
Inside buzz is that Bunny doesn’t want Sankranthi release for AA19 as he wants a solo release of his film. Bunny is aware that Sankranthi is big festival and has good advantage but at the same time he is aware of the clash and how it would eat into the openings and the BO numbers.
Given this, Allu Arjun wants Trivikram and producers to rethink on Pongal release. Already, the film’s shooting got delayed with Rao Ramesh’s exit owing to dates issue. Given this situation, it needs to be seen whether Trivikram would wrap up the film on time and can get the film ready by Pongal.
On the other hand, Allu Arjun will start his up next film with Sukumar simultaneously. The film is set against red sander smuggling and Sukumar’s trademark elements are going to give it a new tinge.
Let’s see whether Allu Arjun would beat Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam or not.
