The tragic death of stunt master Mohan Raj during the shoot of the Tamil film “Vettuvam” has deeply shaken the entire film industry. The film, starring Arya and directed by Pa. Ranjith, was being shot near Nagapattinam when the fatal accident occurred. Mohan Raj was performing a car flip stunt when the vehicle overturned multiple times, leading to his death. A video of the accident has since gone viral on social media.

After watching the video, netizens have expressed strong anger towards director Pa. Ranjith, questioning why such dangerous stunts are being performed practically despite the availability of advanced technology and visual effects. Allegations of negligence have emerged, prompting the Keezhaiyur Police to register a case against Pa. Ranjith, Assistant Director Raj Kamal, the vehicle owner Prakash, and shoot manager Vinod.

Mohan Raj had been working as a stunt trainer for many years. Though there were no visible injuries on his body, the post-mortem revealed that he died due to internal injuries and brain hemorrhage. The crew had rushed him to the hospital immediately, but doctors confirmed that he had already passed away.

Actor Vishal expressed deep grief over the incident, stating that he had known Mohan Raj for 20 years. He mentioned that Raj is survived by two children, and assured that the film industry will stand by his family.

Vishal also revealed some crucial details about the stunt. He shared that stunt choreographer Dilip Subbarayan had advised Mohan Raj against performing the risky stunt himself. However, Raj insisted on doing it personally, which ultimately led to his tragic death. Vishal added that this reflects the dedication of stunt artists, who often downplay their injuries fearing that they might not be called for work again if they express their pain.
