బాలీవుడ్‌లో ప్రత్యేకమైన ముద్ర వేసుకున్న నటుల్లో జాన్ అబ్రహాం ఒకరు. మోడల్‌గా కెరీర్‌ ప్రారంభించి నటుడిగా ఎదిగిన అతడు, ఇండస్ట్రీలో పోటీ ఎక్కువ ఉన్నప్పటికీ తనకంటూ ప్రత్యేక స్థానం ఏర్పరుచుకున్నాడు. మంచి హిట్ సినిమాలతో స్టార్‌డమ్‌ను దక్కించుకున్నాడు.

అయితే జాన్‌ వ్యక్తిగత జీవితం కూడా చాలా మందికి ఆసక్తికరమైనదే. ఒకప్పుడు సహనటి బిపాషా బసుతో దాదాపు 10 ఏళ్ల పాటు డేటింగ్ చేసినప్పటికీ, ఎప్పుడూ పెళ్లి చేసుకుని కుటుంబాన్ని ఏర్పరచుకోవాలన్న ఆలోచన లేదు. కొన్నాళ్లకే వారి రిలేషన్ ముగిసిపోయింది.

తర్వాత ప్రియా రుంచల్ అనే ఫైనాన్షియల్ అనలిస్టును ప్రేమించి, 2014లో పెళ్లి చేసుకున్నాడు. కానీ పెళ్లయి 11 ఏళ్లు దాటినా కూడా జంటకు ఇప్పటికీ పిల్లలు లేరు. దీని గురించి తరచూ మీడియా, అభిమానులు ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నారు. దీనిపై స్పందించిన జాన్‌… “ప్రస్తుతం నా దృష్టంతా కెరీర్ మీద ఉంది. నా సంస్థలు, నిర్మాణ కంపెనీ, ఫుట్‌బాల్ టీమ్ (నార్త్ ఈస్ట్ యునైటెడ్ FC) అన్నీ నా సమయాన్ని ఎక్కువగా తీసుకుంటున్నాయి. కుటుంబాన్ని పెంచుకునే ఆలోచనకు ఇప్పట్లో టైమ్ రావడం లేదు” అన్నారు.

అలాగే, “నేను పరిపూర్ణ వ్యక్తిని కాదు. నా భార్య ప్రియా ఎంతో సహనంతో, తెలివిగానే వ్యవహరిస్తుంది. ముందుగా నా బిజినెస్ వ్యవస్థలను స్థిరపరిచి, తర్వాతే ఫ్యామిలీ గురించి ఆలోచిస్తాను” అన్నారు జాన్.

ప్రస్తుతం జాన్‌ అబ్రహాం సినిమాలు, నిర్మాణ కార్యక్రమాలతో పాటు వ్యాపారాల విస్తరణలో బిజీగా ఉన్నాడు. చివరిసారిగా ‘ది డిప్లొమాట్’ సినిమాతో ప్రేక్షకులను పలకరించాడు. ఈ సినిమా విమర్శకుల ప్రశంసలు పొందడమే కాదు, బాక్సాఫీస్ వద్ద మంచి కలెక్షన్లను రాబట్టింది.

2022లో ‘సీతా రామం’ సినిమా ద్వారా తెలుగు ప్రేక్షకులకు పరిచయమైన మృణాల్ మొదటి సినిమాతోనే స్టార్ హీరోయిన్‌గా గుర్తింపు పొందింది. తక్కువ సమయంలోనే టాలీవుడ్‌లో మంచి అవకాశాలను దక్కించుకుంది. కానీ బాలీవుడ్‌లో మాత్రం మృణాల్ ఇప్పటికీ సరైన బ్రేక్ కోసం ఎదురుచూస్తోంది.

2014లో ‘హలో నందన్‌’ అనే మరాఠీ సినిమాతో సినీ రంగంలోకి వచ్చిన మృణాల్, ‘లవ్ సోనియా’ ద్వారా బాలీవుడ్ లోకి ఎంట్రీ ఇచ్చింది. ఆ తరువాత వరుసగా హిందీ సినిమాలు చేసినా, ఆమె ఖాతాలో మాత్రం ఇంకా సరైన కమర్షియల్ హిట్ పడలేదు. తెలుగు ఇండస్ట్రీలోని స్టార్‌డమ్‌ను హిందీలో మాత్రం రిపీట్ చేయలేకపోయింది.

ప్రస్తుతం మృణాల్‌ చేతిలో నాలుగు హిందీ సినిమాలు ఉన్నాయి. అందులో ‘సన్నాఫ్ సర్దార్ 2’ కీలకం. అజయ్ దేవగన్ హీరోగా నటించిన ఈ సినిమా ఈ నెల 25న విడుదల కాబోతుంది. ఇప్పటికే ఈ సినిమాపై మంచి హైప్ క్రియేట్ అయింది. గతంలో వచ్చిన ‘సన్నాఫ్ సర్దార్’ భారీ విజయాన్ని సాధించగా, ఇప్పుడు ఆ సినిమా సీక్వెల్‌ కూడా అదే స్థాయిలో అంచనాలు పెంచుకుంది. ఇది రాజమౌళి తెరకెక్కించిన ‘మర్యాద రామన్న’ హిందీ రీమేక్‌ కాబట్టి, సీక్వెల్‌పై ఆసక్తి ఎక్కువైంది.

ఈ సినిమాలో మృణాల్ ఠాకూర్‌ ‘రబీయా అక్తర్‌’ అనే కీలక పాత్రలో కనిపించబోతోంది. ఇప్పటికే విడుదలైన ప్రమోషనల్ వీడియోల ప్రకారం ఆమె పాత్రకు మంచి ప్రాధాన్యత ఉందని తెలుస్తోంది.

Lokesh Clarifies Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Leo’ Comment

Top Indian filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj has clarified recent remarks made by Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt about his role in the Vijay-starrer Leo. Sanjay Dutt had jokingly said that Lokesh “wasted” him in the film, but Lokesh revealed that Dutt personally called him to clarify that the comment was made in jest and was taken out of context when quoted by the media.

For those unaware, Sanjay Dutt made the statement while attending the Tamil teaser launch of the Kannada film KD – The Devil in Chennai. During the media interaction, he was asked about his experience working with Tamil actors and his rapport with them.

Dutt responded, “I respect Rajini sir and Kamal sir immensely. They are my seniors, and I’ve learned so much from them. I’ve worked with Rajini sir in multiple Hindi films — he is the most humble person I’ve ever met.” Speaking about Vijay, he added, “I have worked with Thalapathy Vijay and loved it.” On a lighter note, he remarked, “I am angry with Lokesh because he didn’t give me a big role in Leo. (Laughs) He wasted me.”

Lokesh, in a recent video interview with a leading publication, said, “Sanjay Dutt sir called me right after that media session. He said, ‘I made that comment playfully but the media just cut that part and made it look awkward. I didn’t mean it seriously.’ I told him, ‘No problem sir, I understand.’ I’m not some genius or the world’s greatest filmmaker — I may make mistakes, and every film is a learning process.”

Lokesh also hinted that the trailer of his much-awaited film Coolie is on the way, keeping fans excited for what’s next.

Veteran Actor Dheeraj Kumar Passes Away

It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of veteran actor, producer, and director Dheeraj Kumar. He succumbed to cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at Kokilaben Hospital in Andheri West, where he was on ventilator support. After his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to the ICU, where he sadly breathed his last. His family and production team had earlier appealed for prayers, hoping for his recovery.

The entertainment industry is mourning the loss of a versatile and dedicated artist whose contributions left a lasting impact. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

Dheeraj Kumar’s journey in showbiz began in 1965 when he emerged as a finalist in a talent competition alongside Subhash Ghai and Rajesh Khanna. From 1970 to 1984, he starred in 21 Punjabi films, leaving his mark on regional cinema. Later, he showcased his entrepreneurial acumen by founding Creative Eye, a production house where he served as chairman and managing director until his passing.

His legacy in cinema and television will be fondly remembered. May his soul rest in peace. RIP Dheeraj Kumar.
