JanaSena Collecting Funds

Share

We will drive out money politics from Andhra Pradesh is what Pawan Kalyan has been proclaiming ever since he formed Jana Sena party in 2014. But the real picture far from it.

In fact, Jana Sena is aggressively collecting funds from donors since the party has entered into the poll fray for the first time.

Insiders say the party has already collected more than Rs 60 Cr from its supporters and sympathisers.

Bunny Vaas, who produced films such as ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’ and ‘Geetha Govindam’, is a trusted man of Allu Aravind. He is now overseeing all finances and collecting funds of Jana Sena from businessmen, fans, and NRIs.

Small-time traders and businessmen belonging to Godavari districts are reportedly giving good funds to Jana Sena now.

This job was earlier done by Sharat Marrar but he left Pawan Kalyan due to differences with him. Now Bunny Vaas has taken up the responsibility till the election process ends.

Jagan’s ‘Sakshi’ Media Group For Sale?

Share

Rumour mills are abuzz that “Sakshi” media group owned by YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy has been put up for sale.

This deal is rumoured to be the ‘biggest deal’ in the media field.

Reliable sources in the media industry said Jagran Prakashan Ltd (JPL), the publisher of the country’s largest daily Dainik Jagran, is keen on acquiring Sakshi group.

Sources said the negotiations between the managements of Sakshi and JPL groups are already on and a deal is expected to be finalised soon, anytime before the announcement of AP Assembly and Lok Sabha results on May 23.

Speculations are rife that Jagan decided to sell off Sakshi to raise funds for his political activities, party and election expenses.

Sakshi started by Jagan in 2008, emerged as the leading newspaper in Telugu States within no time ending the monopoly of “yellow media” represented by Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy.

Jagan soon launched Sakshi TV, which too emerged as one of the leading regional news channels.

Sakshi group also established its mark in digital media with online news portals in all languages.

Sources revealed that Jagan feels time is ripe to sell off Sakshi at this stage as the Sakshi enjoys enormous brand value which will fetch huge money for him.

Jagan is learnt to be expecting Rs 1,500 crore through this sale.

Jagan is also learnt to be fully confident of becoming CM of Andhra Pradesh after poll results on May 23 with all surveys predicting “YSRCP wave” in AP.

Jagan wants to focus on politics full-time as CM and want to exit from the media field for which he cannot devote time later.

Jagan strongly believes that if he becomes CM this time, he would remain in the post at least for the next 20 years since there will be no strong Opposition in AP as Chandrababu will also quit politics by then due to his old age and Lokesh or Nandamuri clan are not capable enough to bring TDP back to power in AP.

In this scenario, Jagan wants to devote complete time to politics.

Moreover, Jagan feels that as a ruling party, YSRCP will definitely has the advantage of utilising all the media groups in AP as they want and as such there was no need for him to run his own media group then.

A final announcement on Sakshi takeover is expected very soon.

In April 2010, Jagan sold his 51 per cent stake in Bharathi Cement to French Cement Company “Vicat” for nearly Rs 2,500 crore.

Jagan still holds 30 per cent stake in Bharathi Cements, which is worth nearly Rs 1,500 crore.

Jagan wants to rake in moolah through sale of Sakshi.

The movie’s trailer and songs have garnered good response.

Kangana and Baahubali Writer’s Special Bond

Share

Kangana spit venom on director Krish after he made strong comments on her directorial skills.

Both Kangana and Krish had a huge fallout over the final cut of “Manikarnika”, a film on Jhansi Rani that starred Kangana in the title role.

When Krish left for NTR Biopic movies, Kangana took the project in her hands and reshot the most of the film and took the credits for direction. “Manikarnika” was a decent hit at the box-office.

While “Manikarnika” turned out to be successful, Krish directed NTR Biopic movies (NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu) became disasters. Krish lost all his good name.

Kangana has cut off total ties with Krish but she still is continuing her working relationship with writer Vijayendra Prasad.

It was Vijayendra Prasad who brought Krish on board for “Manikarnika”. Kangana is treating Vijeyendra Prasad, who penned many blockbusters such as “Baahubali”, as her guru.

The famous writer is now scripting biopic of Jayalalitha and he has convinced Kangana to act in this film. The film will be produced by Vishnu Induri, who is partner in NTR Biopic movies.

Though Kangana has problems with Krish, she doesn’t have any issue to work with Vishnu Induri and Vijayendra Prasad.

Interestingly, Rajamouli’s father Prasad will also be penning biopic of Kangana Ranaut soon. They have developed a good bonding of Guru-Sishya.

Pawan Kalyan Singing Naidu Tune!

Share

For quite some time, there have been allegations that power star and Jana Sena party president Pawan Kalyan has been indirectly helping Telugu Desam Party in the ongoing elections in Andhra Pradesh.

It is pretty evindent from the way, Pawan was singing the tune of TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Bhimavaram on Friday.

There have been reports of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao intimidating leaders of rival parties in Andhra Pradesh to join the YSR Congress Party.

For the last couple of days, Naidu has been harping on these allegations to allege that TRS is helping the YSRC to defeat the TDP.

Now, Pawan took up the cudgels against YSRC president Jagan in support of Naidu.

He went a step ahead and said KCR was threatening to create troubles for the people of Andhra, having properties in Hyderabad and driving them away.

“Hyderabad is not Pakistan for us to be afraid of security of our assets there”, he thundered while addressing an election rally in Bhimavaram, where from he is contesting for Andhra Pradesh.

Pawan told the TRS leadership to set up its party in Andhra Pradesh and directly participate in elections.

“But, the TRS is trying for control over Andhra Pradesh through Indirect means. It is supporting the YSR Congress. KCR works for the YSRCP behind the curtains. His minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav comes to Andhra Pradesh on mission to bring in caste division among us”, Pawan charged.

He revealed to the audience that a group of people had approached him a month ago seeking to join Jana Sena. But, a few days later, they joined the YSRCP. My enquiries revealed that they were threatened with harm to their properties if they don’t give up the idea of joining JSP instead join the YSRCP.

Pawan’s attack on KCR and Jagan clearly shows he is indirectly working for the TDP victory.

Spotlight: YSRCP Making A Huge Blunder

Share

Even as the TDP is making ample use of the television media with its political ads, the YSRCP has shockingly failed to come out with even a single advertisement till date.

For the record, the Party has actually had ads shot by Mahi V Raghav (Yatra director) and director Sudhir Varma. However, the Party has not used them mystifying supporters.

Prashant Kishore is said to be the reason behind this. Apparently, Prashant Kishore believes based on his experience that television ads will not have much of an impact on voting decisions.

Whether his thinking is right or wrong, in a political campaign, nothing can be left to chance.

Why a voter has voted for a particular Party might not be known even to himself. There are myriad factors at play and eventually, a proper campaigner will adopt a 360 degree approach.

Against this backdrop, leaving out a major medium like television especially when the TDP has earmarked a budget of Rs 1.5 crore for social media advertisements alone and a mammoth budget for television advertising, is nothing but sheer stupidity on the part of YSRCP.

There is also no proper co-ordination between IPAC and the other functionaries of the Party and YS Jagan in the thick of action cannot get down to sorting out the chain of command at this point in time. This was where KVP Ramachandra Rao proved to be such an asset.

KVP would take care of all the back-end work leaving YSR free to concentrate on policy-making and being among the people.

It’s high time the YSRCP got its act together as the Party cannot afford another electoral debacle.
