K’taka IAS officer Rohini to join Jagan govt?
Firebrand IAS officer of Karnataka-cadre Rohini Sindhuri is all set to join the YSR Congress party government in Andhra Pradesh headed by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy shortly.The chief minister is understood to have written to the Karnataka government to send Rohini Sindhuri on deputation to Andhra Pradesh.
She is likely to be relieved shortly and is expected to join the chief minister’s office in AP, sources said.Rohini, a Telugu officer belonging to 2009 batch was born in Rudrakshapalli in Khammam district.
She had completed her entire education in Hyderabad and had done her B Tech in Chemical Engineering. She got married to Sudhir Reddy, an industrialist from Nellore and they have a son.At present, Rohini is working as district collector in Hasan district.Known for her straightforwardness and integrity, she got transferred several times in a short span of her career. She had to fight legal battles to avoid being transferred frequently.
Finally, the Kumaraswamy posted her back to Hassan after the court orders.
Y V Subba Reddy’s ‘power play’?
Chairman of TTD YV Subba Reddy has raked a controversy with his decision to have the TTD camp office at Tadepalli.He has got a GO passed to this effect. Opposition Parties BJP and TDP have been quick to seize on the opportunity and are questioning the motive behind such a move.
“When the Lord is in Tirumala, why does Subba Reddy need his office headquarters in Tadepalli?” is the question on everyone’s mind.Even YSRCP MLAs are said to be miffed with Subba Reddy for cancelling the L1, L2, L3 darshan.
This means that MLAs can no longer give recommendation letters to someone for darshan. Instead, they will now have to request YV Subba Reddy for that and this precisely seems to be Subba Reddy’s plan.By having all MLAs come to him for TTD related matters, he will be at the focal point in YS Jagan’s regime and hence the decision to have the camp office at Tadepalli.
Incidentally, YS Jagan is also keeping Subba Reddy at a distance and was forced to give him the TTD Post out of family obligations.Knowing this, Subba Reddy wants to stay politically relevant by moving to the epicenter of Andhra politics rather than utilize the ‘once-in—lifetime’ opportunity of serving the Lord.
Nani Keeping an Eye on Prabhas
When media wrote that Nani’s “Gang Leader” got postponed from its date of August 30, Nani in his typical overenthusiastic manner exerted pressure on producers without knowing what is happening in the industry to announce that the film is very much on schedule.
Nani believes that he knows everything. He made a video and posted that the promotions of “Gang Leader” are commencing in a hurry on social media and the film would hit on August 30.
His happiness has lasted two days.
Now, the biggest of biggest project “Saaho” has been postponed from August 15. The next possible date, the team of “Saaho” is looking at August 30.Though it is not yet official that “Saaho” would hit on that date but the makers are toying with this date.
Given the pending work, it is not possible for “Saaho” to reach to this date as well but if the work gets finished they would definitely lock on August 30, hardly caring about Nani.Now, Nani and his team of “Gang Leader” are worrying about the release date. The team will now postpone all the promotional hungama.
MS Dhoni’s parents want him to quit cricket
Speculations are rife over the future of MS Dhoni. Reports are doing the round that MS Dhoni’s retirement is very much on the cards and the former India skipper can wave goodbye to international cricket anytime soon.MS Dhoni has been under pressure to quit for quite some time now and the pressure has only increased after the World Cup.
The veteran wicket-keeper batsman has been one of the greatest servants of the game India has ever seen but his last wish of winning a third World Cup title for the country remained unfulfilled after India lost the semi-final against New Zealand.

There are now talks that MS Dhoni’s retirement is just a matter of time.His struggle against spin was exposed on quite a few occasions but despite all the criticism being thrown at him, the 38-year-old played a vital role in India’s campaign.
He notched up 273 runs in eight games for the Men in Blue which was the highest by any Indian middle-order batsmen. However, his ‘intent’ and uncanny approach was questioned throughout the tournament.Ahead of the selection committee’s meeting on July 19, Dhoni’s parents have expressed their thoughts on his retirement.
According to the 38-year-old’s childhood coach Keshav Banerjee, Dhoni’s parents want him to quit cricket and live with them in Ranchi.Banerjee, who first noticed Dhoni’s talent as a good catcher of the ball, played a huge role in transforming him from a goalkeeper to one of the finest wicket-keepers the game has ever seen.
“I went to Dhoni’s house on Sunday and talked to his parents. They said that Dhoni should leave cricket now. I said no, he should play for one more year. It would be better if he leaves after the T20 World Cup. They protested by saying that ‘no who would take care of this big house’. I said when you have taken care of the house for this long, then wait for another year,” Banerjee said in a video interview.
The selectors will meet on Friday to announce the squads for the West Indies tour and Dhoni is likely to be rested if he opts against retirement.
However, there have been reports claiming that Dhoni might not be an automatic selection in the team in the shorter formats as the selectors are looking to plan ahead for the ICC World T20 by giving chances to some of the promising youngsters.
Dhoni is yet to travel back to India after the Men in Blue’s heartbreaking exit from the ICC World Cup 2019. As per reports, he has not told the team management or the selectors anything regarding his future.

When YSRCP won the Assembly elections with a staggering majority, it was a foregone conclusion among the public and politicians that the TDP would now be at the receiving end.After all, for five years, they had subjected YS Jagan and his men to immense torture and never gave him due respect as an Opposition leader then.
