Vijay Devarakonda Not Interested In Brother’s Dorasani?
For their good friend, Naveen Polishetty who has acted in Sekhar Kammula’s Life Is Beautiful movie, actor Vijay Devarakonda and director Nag Ashwin are busy promoting him for his upcoming film “Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya”.
Other day, Vijay Devarakonda tweeted, “There ain’t No bonding like struggling together. Naveen Polishetty.. your timing, your talent and your persistence to follow your heart always inspires me. When you quit your UK IT job to come to do this, you made the right decision. You are made for this”.
Well, while the tweet is getting all the attention and appreciation, many are wondering why Mr Devarakonda hasn’t spoken a single word about his own brother Anand Devarakonda’s debut film “Dorasani” teaser. He neither spoke about it, nor he tweeted the teaser.
Fans of the actor are saying that Vijay doesn’t want to promote his brother a lot because it looks like he is endorsing nepotism. Or something like the teaser hasn’t impressed the actor at all??
25-member Andhra Pradesh cabinet sworn-in
Amaravati: Nine days after taking over as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday constituted his cabinet with 25 ministers being sworn-in here.
Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers, including three women, at a ceremony held near State Secretariat at Velagapudi.
Jagan Reddy, who alone took oath on May 30, constituted his cabinet at one go.
While six ministers had served in the cabinet of Jagan Reddy’s late father Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy in undivided Andhra Pradesh, all others are first-time ministers.
The swearing in ceremony began at 11.49 a.m., the auspicious time set by Jagan Reddy’s advisors.
Dharmana Prasada Rao was the first to be sworn-in. Adimulapu Suresh and M. Goutham Reddy took oath in English while the remaining ministers took oath in Telugu.
Amjad Basha, the lone Muslim Minister, took oath in the name of ‘Allah’.
As announced earlier, five of the ministers will be Deputy Chief Ministers. In an unprecedented move, Jagan Reddy decided to have five deputies, each from the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, minorities and Kapus.
The names of Deputy Chief Ministers are expected to be announced later in the day.
Sixty per cent of the ministers are from SCs, STs, BCs and minorities. There are 11 ministers from upper castes – Reddys 4, Kapus 4, Kamma 1, Vyshya 1 and Kshatriya 1.
Botsa Satyanarayana, P. Subhash Chandra Bose, P. Viswarup, Mopidevi Venkatramna, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy and Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy had served as Ministers earlier in Congress government headed by Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
Of them Subhash Chandra Bose and Mopidevi Venkatramna were both defeated in Assembly elections. While Bose is a member of Legislative Council, Venkatramna is likely to be nominated to the upper House.
YSR Congress Party stormed to power last month with a landslide majority, winning 151 seats in 175-member Assembly.
Roja Switches Off Phone, YSRC in Jittery
Roja, the popular leader of YSRCP, has switched off her mobile phone after YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inducted 25 ministers in his cabinet.
She has refused to come into touch with the top brass of YSRC. Roja was hoping to secure a place in the first cabinet of YS Jagan but she got raw deal due to the caste equations.
Roja belongs to Reddy community. As Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy has been inducted into the cabinet from the Chittore district, Roja was excluded since she also hails from the same district.
But her cadre and fans were not happy with Jagan’s decision. Respecting the mood of her cadre, she didn’t attend the swearing-in ceremony of ministers today.
She and her assistants have now switched off the phones.
Roja fought like a lioness when Y S Jagan was in opposition and stood beside him like a rock.
She got humiliated by TDP leaders on several occasions during assembly sessions and was also expelled by speaker but she never went on back foot on attacking TDP.
Although she got flak for her abusive language, Roja has been very loyal to YS Jagan.
Katrina Kaif: Proving the critics wrong
In a “Zero” with Shah Rukh Khan and a “Bharat” with Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif has outshined the superstars and plots, say industry experts who feel the actress has come a long way and worked her way to be in top form.
During the initial years of her career in Hindi showbiz, Katrina was often criticised for her acting chops and her heavy British accent. But over the years, she has come into her own, proving that she can act, dance and do it well.
Katrina is currently being lauded for her role as Kumud Raina in “Bharat”.
Trade analyst Komal Nahta told IANS: “Katrina is extraordinary. Her hard work on improving her accent is clearly visible in ‘Bharat’. While protraying the old age scenes in the film, she has maintained her pace as well as accent. She is looking like she has never been seen before. In ‘Bharat’, she is beyond imagination.”
According to industry expert Vinod Mirani, the 35-year-old actress has outshined the film’s “poor plot”.
“There is nothing much in the movie. People are not liking Salman’s acting. Only Katrina along with Sunil Grover have managed to shine in the movie. Everybody grows, and Katrina is one of them. Her acting in ‘Bharat’ is clearly depicting that. She carries off her part with all sincerity.”
According to Zafar, who had directed the actress in “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” and “Tiger Zinda Hai”, Katrina is “blooming” as an actor.
“She has always been a big star, she has always been a big pull for the audience, but now she is just blossoming as an actor. There is a lot of trust that people are showing in her. They are writing roles for her and I think she is performing those roles with lot of confidence and craft,” Zafar told IANS.
Katrina has been grateful to fans for their response to “Bharat”.
“Thank you for all the love,” she wrote on Instagram as the film minted over Rs 42 crore at the box office on the first day of its release.
On her role, Katrina had earlier said: “I had the most incredible time working on this character, the whole journey has been the most exciting for me.”
Katrina — born of a Kashmiri father and a British mother — stepped into Bollywood with the 2005 film “Boom”, which was a dud at the box office.
But there came a phase in her career when she delivered back-to-back hits — “Namastey London”, “Welcome”, “Singh is Kinng” and “Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani”.
But despite the success rate, her accent and acting were commented upon.
Nahta feels Katrina has evolved as an artiste over the years.
He said: “She has shown remarkable improvement. After ‘Bharat’, I feel she should be offered substantial roles because she has shown she can do roles beyond her comfort zone. She deserves to be lauded.
“Producers and directors should take note that Katrina is more than a ‘glamour doll’ and take her seriously.”
Even netizens are appreciating Katrina a lot for her performance in “Bharat”.
One Twitter user tweeted: “Congrats Katrina for once again proving to the whole world that no challenge is too big for you. Let the praise boost your confidence and keep exploring your potential because you truly are capable of amazing things.”
Another user wrote: “Katrina is on top form. After such a long time, she is receiving such consistent positive words.”
Katrina is now all set to woo the audience with her role opposite Akshay Kumar in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film “Sooryavanshi”.
Hyderabad: Boy Knifed By Wife’s Father, Brothers
Even as the people of Telangana are yet to come to terms with the brutal killing of 24-year-old Pranay in broad day light in front of his carrying wife and old mother outside a private hospital in Miryalguda, here is yet another shocking and gruesome incident that took place in Telangana’s capital city Hyderabad.
In broad day light on a busy SR Nagar road, a young guy was attacked by his wife’s father and brothers. A 20-yr-old Imtiaz was dragged out of the car he was traveling and he was knifed, stabbed in front of his teen wife by his wife’s father and brothers. The video of the husband being stabbed has gone viral on social media platforms. The crime had taken place on June 7, 2019 (Friday) in the evening hours.
The onlookers were stunned and shocked by this sudden attack on road. While a few bystanders had tried to stop the attackers, the assailants were in no mood to calm down and repeatedly stabbed the guy with knife. The guy’s condition is said to be out of danger. More details are yet to be furnished.
Sonam Kapoor Trolled For Tweet On Brutal Murder
A couple of days ago, a little girl named Twinkle Sharma went missing in Aligarh and later her burnt body was found in a dumping ground. The 3 years old was brutally murdered by accused Mohammed Zahid because her parents owe him Rs 10,000 sum. So naturally what is Bollywood’s reaction to this is in the spotlight now.
Many heroines including that of Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar have hold placards and shared those pictures on Twitter, during the times of the brutal rape and murder of a little girl Asifa, with the tag #JusticeForAsifa. And now, as these heroines have simply put some tweets but no pictures, it looks like that is not going well with many, especially BJP folks.
As Sonam tweeted, “What has happened to baby twinkle is. Heartbreaking and horrific. I pray for her and her family. I also urge people to not make this into a selfish agenda. This is a little girls death, not a reason to spread your hate”, a lot of trolling followed.
BJP’s Priti Gandhi tweeted, “After shamelessly communalising the Kathua rape case she is now giving sermons to others to not spread hate! Your selective concern for the girl child depending on her religion & the timing of your movie release is so out in the open Sonam Kapoor!! #JusticeForTwinkleSharma”. Many other supporters of BJP and also some prominent authors like Shefali Vaidya questioned the likes of Sonam, “When you shamed Hindus after Kathua incident, where are your when a Muslim killed Twinkle brutally?”.
Though Sonam tried to tactfully avoid the situation by saying that she believes in Karma, trolling went to peaks until she went silent on Twitter.
What If That Scene Features Telugu Mass Hero!
In the wake of Telugu films like Hippi, Seven, Falaknuma Das and ABCD giving a headache to the audiences inside the theatres, they are actually waiting for the right film to happen to them. Though this film is not that great, it looks like masses are enjoying it.
‘Bichagadu’ fame Vijay Antony’s latest film “Killer” is out in theatres and the film has its moments when it comes to engaging the audiences big time. Though some logics went for a kaput in the second half, some thrilling elements have worked in favour of the film we have to say. And there is that interval scene which made many think, why Telugu heroes don’t get such scenes.
In the interval, when it is revealed that the hero is an IPS officer, the bang it gave to audiences and impact it created inside a theatre is humongous. If a similar kind of scene would have got featured in the film of someone like Allu Arjun, Jr NTR or Balayya Babu, it would have become terrific. In recent times, such a hair raising bang is not felt in any Telugu film actually.
On the other hand, Killer is not as kick-ass as Bichagadu for Vijay Antony and also the hero needs to work down a bit on his acting skills when he’s pitted opposite a star actor like Arjun Sarja.
Falaknuma Das sequel in 2020
Ever since the first teaser of Falaknuma Das landed on Internet, the film has been a subject of discussion or debate for various reasons. And the comments made by film’s director and lead actor Vishwak Sen in the recent past has made it even more noisy. Whatever, all of it added up as good publicity for ‘Falaknuma Das’ and it’s now helping the film earn good moolah at box-office.
Falaknuma Das is remake to super hit Malayalam movie ‘Angamaly Diaries’, which presents the story of a gangster who wants to emerge big in meat business. For presenting Hyderabad city in a totally different way, the film received a special appreciation from noted filmmaker Sukumar. To celebrate the successful run in both Telangana and AP, the makers of Falaknuma Das arranged a ‘success meet’ in Hyderabad on Friday.
Speaking at this event, actor Vishwak stated that he will come up with ‘Falaknuma Das’ sequel in 2020. Also, he went on to say that he’ll continue to stay in films either as an actor or director. ‘And I will try to be part of many more good movies in years to come,’ he said.
YS Jagan’s Shock To Roja
RK Roja has been playing an active role in YSRCP and she is two-time MLA from Nagiri. Ever since YCP got a thumping victory, it is buzzed that Roja would get one of the top ministries in Jagan’s cabinet. However, pouring cold water on all such hopes of Roja and her followers, her name is missing in Jagan’s 25 member cabinet. This is quite shocking as whenever YCP is heard, Roja’s name was strongly heard.
Of 25 members, Jagan has given opportunity to 3 women MLAs to become ministers. 31-year-old Pamula Pushpa Srivani, of Kurupam Assembly constituency in Vizianagaram district, 45-year-old Taneti Vanitha, of Kovvur Assembly constituency in West Godavari district, and 41-year-old Mekathoti Sucharita from Prathipadu constituency in Guntur district have got place in Jagan’s cabinet.
As Jagan has formed full-fledged cabinet, he has made it clear that there will be no changes in the cabinet for another 2.5 years. With this, Roja will be left with no cabinet post. However, Roja might be given any other key nominated post.
Roja hasn’t responded on not being made her minister. Looks like, Roja is in Jagan’s shock. So, will Roja be back to Jabardasth?
All Rumours Around Vamsi Paidipally Are Just Cooked
There are rumours all these days that the stupendous success of “Maharshi” in theatres has made Mahesh Babu sign his director Vamsi Paidipally for another film. After witnessing Mahesh’s kisses on Vamsi’s cheek, who wouldn’t believe that?

Mahesh Babu’s Aunty Going To The Gym
Unlike the publicity all these days, senior actress Vijayasanthi is not going to be seen as the mother of Superstar Mahesh in the upcoming film Sarileru Neekevvaru, which happens to be her comeback film after 13years of self-imposed exile.
We hear that Vijayasanthi will be seen as the mother of Mahesh Babu’s friend, who dies in the army. And she herself will be a retired major who served her time in the volatile Kashmir region throughout her career. Ravi Prakash Grilled For 7 Hours!
TV9’s former CEO Ravi Prakash, who has been accused of forgery, cheating, violation of agreement and causing loss to his former company Associated Broadcasting Company Pvt. Ltd (ABCL), has appeared before Banjara Hills police on Friday. The above charges have been filed against Ravi Prakash following a complaint by ABCL director P Kaushik Rao on May 16, 2019 against Ravi Prakash, former CFO MVKN Murthy, Mojo TV chairman Hari Kiran Cheriddy.
On yesterday (June 7, 2019), Ravi Prakash has been grilled by 7 long hours by the Banjara Hills police in connection with the case. The cops said to have grilled Ravi Prakash for long and summoned him to attend before them today (June 8) as well for a detailed probe.
Police questioned Ravi Prakash regarding the agreement between Sivaji and him over purchase of shares and the truth behind the deal. The cops said to have grilled RP whether the agreement was “real” or “fabricated” or “created”. The cops have also questioned RP over the sale of TV9 trademark logo for Rs 99,000 and the “truth” behind it.
Cops are investigating on if the documents are “not true”, then when they have been “created” and who are all “involved” in it. The cops are tallying Ravi Prakash’s answers with the documents that have been procured by police.
