Don’t Beg, Be Like King : Tammareddy to Jagan

Film director Tammareddy Bharadwaj has said YS Jagan has emerged as an undisputed politician not just in Andhra Pradesh but also in the country. Tammareddy expresses his opinion and views in his YouTube channel, ‘Naa Aalochanalu’ and shared his thoughts on Jagan.

“Despite the Modi wave in the country and TDP’s government, Jagan came to power. He fought really hard for the last decade,” said Tammareddy. But the director found fault in Jagan’s statements made in Delhi. Addressing the media in the national capital, Jagan said had BJP won 250 Lok Sabha seats, YSRCP had good chances of demanding ‘special status’ to Andhra Pradesh but BJP is the single largest party now and they will do whatever they want.

Tammareddy objected this statement and said Jagan should ask for ‘Special Status’ like King but not like a begger. “During the dominant Congress phase, Tamil Nadu’s DMK used to get things from Delhi. NTR and then YSR have ruled Delhi for sometime and Jagan has the capabilities to do. He has been on the roads for a decade and now people have given him a huge mandate. So the Telugu pride is in Jagan’s hand. He should fight for special status like King,” said Tammareddy.

After its unexpected defeat in the State Assembly elections, Telugu Desam Party Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has accepted the drubbing at the hustings. However, with 23 MLAs, while he may be the Opposition Leader in the Legislative assembly, he now also has the opportunity to create a record by becoming a pro-tem Speaker.

Chandrababu Naidu is the senior-most leader in the house with a career spanning four decades — a three-time Chief Minister and a two-time Opposition leader. Generally, the senior-most leader gets the opportunity to be a pro-tem Speaker who facilitates the swearing-in of all the legislators of the House, before a Speaker is chosen for the assembly.

Meanwhile, it is not clear whether Chandrababu will accept this opportunity. In such a case, the next leader in line is Ganta Srinivasa Rao who stands the chance of becoming a pro-tem Speaker. It is now left to the TDP leadership to decide what they would do with this. However, it would be a good chance for Chandrababu to clear air that he welcomes the new government if he decides to become a pro-tem Speaker.

Security Increased for Paritala Family, Jagan Hailed

Kurnool-range DIG Nagendra Kumar issued special orders increasing security to former minister Paritala Sunitha’s family. Eight more gunmen have been allocated to her family. It is learnt that with the YSR Congress coming to power in the state, the number of gunmen has been increased to avoid trouble to Sunitha’s family from the new government.

It is learnt that Sunitha expressed doubt over security to her family from the new government and the security has been heightened following it. The decision taken by Chief Minister designate Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is being hailed by the former minister’s followers.

Sunitha’s husband Paritala Ravindra was shot dead in broad daylight while coming out of TD party office in Anantapur on January 24, 2005. Ravi sustained a bullet injury in the head resulting in the instantaneous death while two others, his gunman and one of his supporters, were also killed in the shootout.

The accused escaped from the scene with some of their associates hurling bombs to facilitate their exit. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probed into the triple murder following allegations that former CM late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s son, Jagan Mohan Reddy, and minister J.C. Diwakar Reddy were behind the murder.

However, both of them were exonerated. It was concluded that age-old family rivalry between the families of Paritala Ravindra and Congress leader Gangula Surynarayana Reddy (Suri) led to the murder and that the latter hatched a conspiracy while he was undergoing sentence in the Jubilee Hills bomb blast case.

Jagan Paves Way For Ramana Deekshitulu’s Re-entry In TTD

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) former chief priest Ramana Deekshitulu is likely to re-enter Tirumala as it is learnt that YSR Congress president and Chief Minister-designate Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has given the nod. Jagan visited the Tirumala shrine on Tuesday evening. During the YSRCP Chief’s visit, Ramana Deekshitulu reportedly went to meet Jagan at Padmavathi guest house where he was staying but the CM designate told him that he would meet him in the temple on Wednesday.

Then Deekshitulu reportedly told Jagan that they were not allowing him to enter the temple and so would speak to him at the guest house itself. Ramana Deekshitulu left the place in happiness thinking that a green signal was being for his re-entry into the temple after Jagan reportedly told him that he would look into the issue and speak to him in the temple on Wednesday.

Recently, Deekshitulu met Jagan in Kadapa before the poll results were declared and blessed him. At the same time, he urged the YSRC chief to think his removal from the TTD. The TTD former chief priest hogged the limelight by making controversies statement and levelling charges against the government’s decisions. Later, he began targeting the Telugu Desam Party and took objection to the decisions taken by the state government.

Following the allegations on digging the premises of the temple, discrepancies in according traditional welcome to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah, repercussions after holding discussion with BJP MP Subrahmanyam Swami , the TDP government removed Ramana Deekshitulu from the post. At that time, the YSR Congress took serious objection to the removal of the TTD chief priest and stood in support to him.

TRS MLA Offers To Give Up His Seat For Kavitha

The humiliating defeat of Kavitha to BJP leader and son of D Srinivas, Dharmapuri Aravind has left TRS leadership in huge disappointment.

Amid huge discussion about her defeat in the political circles, a TRS party leader and Jagityal MLA Sanjay Kumar offered to give up his sitting seat for Kalvakuntla Kavitha and also expressed that he will also work for her victory. He added, “I will request Kavitha Garu to contest from Jagityal. High command will take the final call on my decision.” In 2018 assembly elections, Kavitha had put in all the efforts for Sanjay’s victory against Jeevan Reddy of Congress party. The TRS legislator won with a massive majority of 61,185 votes.

The defeat of Kavitha, daughter of Telangana CM KCR, has become a subject of discussion all over. In the meanwhile, a rumour in political circles is that she may contest as TRS party’s candidate from Huzurnagar assembly, where will fall vacant after Uttam Kumar Reddy submits his resignation. It is known that Uttam won as an MP from Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency.

However, Kavitha has clarified that she will not be fighting Huzurnagar by-poll.

Surely Telugu cinema is evolving big time and these type of films coming up from Telangana based filmmakers are winning hearts. After the likes of C/o Kancharapalem, Fidaa and Arjun Reddy, here comes another realistic entertainer in Tollywood which crafts a real story into a film.

If we have to go by the trailer, it narrates the story of Mallesham, who has started inventing a weaving machine for the sake of his ailing mother. Despite studying just 6th standard, Mallesham tries all means to build the machine. However, his family and life falls into miserable situation as he gets debt ridden due to his obsession to make that machine at any cost.

Playing the titular role, comedian Priyadarshi is quite impressive as he played the real life role of weaver Chintakindi Mallesham who has won Padmasri Award for inventing a machine yarn that weaves a Pochampalli saree in 1.5 hours, which actually takes 6 hours if done by hand. Also the female lead Ananya justified her part while Jhansi as an ailing mother took ‘Mallesham’ to another level.

The trailer depicts the journey of this ordinary man very well as director Raj R conceived the scenes quite brilliantly. Realistic cinematography by Balu Sandilyas and Mark K Robin’s intriguing background score have worked quite well. Seems like the film might get an extra-ordinary result, let’s hope for it.

Naidu may get a chance to become pro-tem speaker

Telugu Desam Nara Chandrababu Naidu has got a rare opportunity to create a record, but it is not clear if he will take it up.

Mr Naidu has been Chief Minister thrice and Opposition leader twice. There is a third, and important, seat in the Assembly, that of the Speaker which Mr Naidu has never occupied in his four-decade career. He now gets that chance.

In a new Assembly, the most senior legislator is appointed pro-tem Speaker, who swears in all the legislators and oversees the election of the Speaker.

Mr Naidu is the senior-most legislator in the House. If he does not accept it, TD MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao is next in line.

Ram Gopal Varma who is an atheist has now turned into a devotee of Lord Venkateshwara.

For the first time in his life, he prayed at Tirumala temple before commencing the shoot of “Lakshmi’s NTR”. Today (May 29), he again offered prayers to Lord Venkateshwara.

Ram Gopal Varma will soon be making a political movie named ‘Kamma Rajyamlo Kadapa Redlu’ using the current mood of YS Jagan’s rise as political leader.

Seeking blessings of Tirupathi God, he prayed along with YS Jagan and other YSRC MLAs.

20 TDP MLAs ready to join YSRCP! Jagan says no!

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is yet to recover from the shocking defeat at the hands of YSRCP in Assembly polls.

The TDP was confined to just 23 seats out of 175 in Legislative Assembly, the worst-ever number for TDP in its 37-year history.

But if YSRCP chief and AP CM designate says ‘yes’, then TDP will be confined to just three seats in Assembly, as 20 TDP MLAs reportedly started making attempts to join YSRCP anytime soon and sending ‘feelers’ to Jagan to this effect.

But Jagan is learnt to have rejected their offer saying that he is against encouraging defections from other parties.

These 20 MLAs propose to declare themselves as “real TDLP” (Legislature Party) and seek Speaker’s approval to merge TDLP into YSRCLP.

Speaker approving this is only a formality, as was done in Telangana Legislative Council where Congress MLCs merged their CLP into TRSLP.

If Jagan says yes to this proposal, these 20 MLAs will automatically become YSRCP MLAs and there will no be no risk of facing Anti-Defection Law.

TDP government encouraged defections from YSRCP to TDP by taking 23 YSRCP MLAs into TDP and even gave four of them minister posts in gross violation of norms, though they continued to be YSRCP MLAs.

YSRCPLP could not be merged into TDPLP then as it requires one-third of total MLAs to quit at a time and seek merger.

But in the latest case, TDPLP could be merged into YSRCLP and there will be no legal complications.

Despite this, Jagan reportedly said no to this saying that if he encourages defections, there will be no difference between him and Chandrababu Naidu.

Jagan has been maintaining ‘strict policy’ with regard to defections since he floated YSRCP in 2011. He took MLAs from other parties earlier, only if they submitted resignation to their posts and contest as YSRCP candidates.

Jagan says defections are unethical and God will punish those who resort to such unethical practices.

After YSRCP swept recent polls, Jagan said that God punished TDP and Naidu for taking 23 YSRCP MLAs and 3 YSRCP MPs into TDP and for that reason God gave only 23 Assembly seats and 3 Lok Sabha seats to TDP in recent polls.

Jagan reportedly told party leaders that he will not commit the mistakes of Naidu and encourage defections.
