‘Silence’ directed by Hemanth Madhukar is the upcoming flick of Anushka Shetty. Around 50 percent of the shoot is being wrapped up so far. First Look Poster could be unveiled in the near future.

Anushka Shetty surprised her Fans by sharing a working still of ‘Silence’ on her social media handle. It’s an attempt to gain acceptance from the Movie Buffs for the makeover she underwent. In the still, Anushka was spotted with short hair and holds a book in her hand. ‘Into The Spotlight Soon #SILENCE,’ she wrote.

Madhavan is playing the protagonist in ‘Silence’. Anjali, Shalini Pandey, Srinivas Avasarala and Subba Raju essay key roles. Hollywood Star Michael Madsen is also part of this project. People Media Factory and Kona Film Corporation has been jointly producing it.

At last, Telugu Desam Party general secretary and party president N Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh could find a reason for his own defeat in Managalagiri assembly constituency in the recent assembly elections.

No, it was not the inefficient and corrupt governance of his father nor was his own incapability in proving his leadership to the party.

It was not even because the people did not acknowledged him as a successor of Naidu.

But, according to Lokesh, the main reason for his defeat was his non-availability to the people of Mangalagiri.

“I did not get sufficient time to come closer to the voters of the constituency. My candidature from Mangalagiri was announced in the last moment and there was hardly any time to win over the confidence of the voters,” he said.

The TDP general secretary said it was unfortunate that the TDP had lost even in those constituencies where the previous government had developed tremendous infrastructure like roads and power, besides education and health sectors.

The reasons mentioned by Lokesh for his defeat are really silly. They might be excuses for other party candidates whose names were announced at the eleventh hour. But Lokesh is supposed to be a celebrity as he happens to be the chief minister’s son.

Secondly, he contested from the constituency that falls under Amaravati capital region which was nurtured by Naidu in the last four years. He claimed to have earned a lot of goodwill among the voters there. Yet, Lokesh had to bite the dust in the elections.

So, the problem is not with the timing of announcement of his candidature. The people wanted to get rid of the Naidu rule and hence, they voted against the TDP in most parts of the state!

Stop Polavaram, Odisha CM Writes To Modi

In what could be a major blow to the Andhra Pradesh government, Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging to him stop the construction of Polavaram project immediately. Right from the inception of the irrigation project, Odisha government is against it and even went on to file multiple petitions against the project in Supreme Court of India.

Last week the union government has cleared few issues pertaining to Polavaram project. After this, Odisha CM has made a request to PM Modi on June 1st. In his letter Naveen Patnaik mentioned that the project will cause permanent injury to Odisha and result in submergence of tribal villages in Malkangiri district and also flooding of fertile agriculture lands and large extent of forest areas.

The Odisha CM opposed the project design and a public hearing in Odisha on the project has not been held till date. He requested Modi to take the public opinion especially of the tribals who are likely to be severely affected.

Polavaram is granted by Godavari Water Dispute Tribunal. The project will irrigate three lakh hectares in AP and produce 960MW of hydropower.

The Andhra Pradesh government is yet to react on Odisha CM’s letter.

Jagan Starts ‘Reverse’ Tendering

Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan has once again opted for a strange decision and this time it is on housing scheme. In the urban region where housing is offered to the eligible, Jagan alleged that there is a lot of corruption and instructed the officials to go for ‘Reverse’ tendering. Also from Ugadi next year, the AP CM wants to distribute land papers and housing scheme for the poor.

On Tuesday Jagan held a review meeting on housing scheme and is considering to initiate CBI probe on the corruption allegations. Per square feet, it would cost around Rs 1,100 but the last government showed it as Rs 2,200 to Rs 2,300. This is deceiving the people and they should not take the burden of paying loans for 20 years. If needed, Jagan wants to wait till the investigation completes and officials should look into the sources where they can recover the funds which got looted.

For now, Jagan directed the officials to stop the works which are in pending while the ones which got completed can be handed over to the entitled.

The government is offering three types of housing and scrapping off this, Jagan questioned why is that few are being given large space and few less. For everyone make it common to 330 square yards, said Jagan to the officials. And as usual, the NTR Housing Scheme now turns into YSR Housing Scheme.

Call it Jagan effect, Opposition leader Chandrababu has cut down his lengthy speeches and has made his speeches short and straight. Earlier, when he was in power, Naidu was known for his lengthy speeches and hours of detailed meetings with officials. Post poll debacle, he has changed his functioning and is now said to be sticking to the point and is talking specific. TDP leaders are happy with the change in Naidu’s speeches and teleconferences aimed at improving party affairs.

Jagan’s speeches have a huge fan base and are instant hit with masses. Whereas Naidu’s speeches were dull and lack vigour and mostly targeted techies, employees. Taking queue from Jagan’s speeches, Naidu said to have decided to rediscover himself and change his speech style to attract masses. Media folks are also happy with this change in Chandrababu as they don’t need to spend lot of time at Naidu’s press conferences now.

Chandrababu is also spending a lot of time with party leaders these days and is focusing on strengthening the party at the grassroots. He is patiently listening to people and their problems unlike never before. TDP leaders are elated to see the huge change in Chandrababu after 2019 defeat. This is a welcome change in Naidu.

Revealed: Anushka’s Role In Sye Raa

In the name of Manikarnika, Bollywood starlet Kangana Ranaut has played the first ever larger than life role of her career as she slipped into the shoes of Rani Jhansi Lakshmibai. And then, this film “Manikarnika” got popular in Telugu as well not for its release but due to the controversy, Kangana created around the movie with director Krish’s name.

It looks like Megastar Chiranjeevi and his team have got the unique idea giving a twist to Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy’s life, adding that Jhansi Lakshmibai actually got inspired by Reddy’s daring acts regarding her fight for freedom. Yes, none other than Anushka will play the role of Jhansi Lakshmibai in Sye Raa, and she will be narrating the story of Uyyalawada to her wounded soldiers on the battleground to motivate them.

Reports are coming that already Anushka has completed the total part of her shoot and Sye Raa team is super happy with the output. This is the second time this heroine playing the role of a historical figure after she appeared as Rani Rudramadevi in Gunasekhar’s direction. However, the addition of Kangana would have given the real twist to Sye Raa thereby bringing some sort of authenticity, but Anushka is no less.

Directed by Surender Reddy and bankrolled by Ram Charan, Sye Raa is hitting cinemas on October 2nd.

Charan & Bunny’s Movie Goes To Bollywood

A recent thing is, even when Naga Chaitanya’s super flop movie Sailaja Reddy Alludu was dubbed into Hindi as Tadakha 2, the film garnered 15 million views. And that explains how much the North audiences are loving the action content of south films.

Keeping that in mind, now director Milap Zaveri of Hate Story 4 fame is said to have watched all of Ram Charan’s mass movies and he got impressed with Yevadu movie. In a bid to remake it in Hindi, he approached producer Dil Raju along with Hindi producer Nikhil Advani. Now Dil Raju has come aboard for the remake and soon the Hindi version will be launched says a source.

Yevadu movie clicked well in Telugu majorly because of Allu Arjun playing that cameo, while the likes of Kajal Agarwal, Shruti Haasan and Amy Jackson provided superior glamorous relief. In the whole story, actually, Ram Charan’s character with twin shades keeps the audience engaging, though it has some routine moments. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, the film turned decent hit at box office.

We have to see how this film will fare in Bollywood and which star heroes and heroines will take up the job. And the twist is, Charan’s Yevadu Hindi dubbed version is on YouTube already and it made 40+ million views too.

Bringing back the pair of super hit ‘Queen’ on back, not only director Raghavendra Rao’s kodalu Kanika Dhillon wrote a crazy story, she got her husband, KRR’s son Prakash Kovelamudi to deliver a knockout punch. And here comes the much awaited trailer of “Judgemental Hai Kya”.

After facing flak from a few sections of society, the title of this Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Rao starrer got changed to ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’. Going by trailer we have to say that it is a crazy movie where the leading lady Kangana gets obsessed after watching her neighbour Rajkumar Rao indulging in passionate affairs with his girlfriend, played by Amyra Dastur.

The twist comes when the two are accused of a murder and the whole film is about solving that mystery. While Kanika packed another punch as a writer, surely Prakash took it to the next level with his stylised conceiving of scenes. And both Kangana and Rajkumar stunned in the roles of Bobby and Keshav, like they do all the time.

Let’s hope this film gives the first ever big break for Raghavendra Rao’s son Prakash, who is trying to prove his mettle as a director from some time. The film is hitting cinemas on July 26th.
