Charan & Bunny’s Movie Goes To Bollywood

A recent thing is, even when Naga Chaitanya’s super flop movie Sailaja Reddy Alludu was dubbed into Hindi as Tadakha 2, the film garnered 15 million views. And that explains how much the North audiences are loving the action content of south films.

Keeping that in mind, now director Milap Zaveri of Hate Story 4 fame is said to have watched all of Ram Charan’s mass movies and he got impressed with Yevadu movie. In a bid to remake it in Hindi, he approached producer Dil Raju along with Hindi producer Nikhil Advani. Now Dil Raju has come aboard for the remake and soon the Hindi version will be launched says a source.

Yevadu movie clicked well in Telugu majorly because of Allu Arjun playing that cameo, while the likes of Kajal Agarwal, Shruti Haasan and Amy Jackson provided superior glamorous relief. In the whole story, actually, Ram Charan’s character with twin shades keeps the audience engaging, though it has some routine moments. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, the film turned decent hit at box office.

We have to see how this film will fare in Bollywood and which star heroes and heroines will take up the job. And the twist is, Charan’s Yevadu Hindi dubbed version is on YouTube already and it made 40+ million views too.

Bringing back the pair of super hit ‘Queen’ on back, not only director Raghavendra Rao’s kodalu Kanika Dhillon wrote a crazy story, she got her husband, KRR’s son Prakash Kovelamudi to deliver a knockout punch. And here comes the much awaited trailer of “Judgemental Hai Kya”.

After facing flak from a few sections of society, the title of this Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Rao starrer got changed to ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’. Going by trailer we have to say that it is a crazy movie where the leading lady Kangana gets obsessed after watching her neighbour Rajkumar Rao indulging in passionate affairs with his girlfriend, played by Amyra Dastur.

The twist comes when the two are accused of a murder and the whole film is about solving that mystery. While Kanika packed another punch as a writer, surely Prakash took it to the next level with his stylised conceiving of scenes. And both Kangana and Rajkumar stunned in the roles of Bobby and Keshav, like they do all the time.

Let’s hope this film gives the first ever big break for Raghavendra Rao’s son Prakash, who is trying to prove his mettle as a director from some time. The film is hitting cinemas on July 26th.

All said and done, in Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh movie, there is a direct mockery of hero Rajasekhar and his antics. Whether that is an idea of Harish Shankar or Pawan Kalyan is not known, but both Pawan and Ali joined hands to imitate Rajasekhar and Jeevitha. The Rajasekhar-Jeevitha couple spoke about this in a couple of interviews too.

Especially the ‘Em Septiri, Em Septiri’ satire on Rajsekhar in Gabbar Singh, imitating the hero’s Tamil accent laced Telugu, has worked well with the audiences too as they have laughed to the core. And now in the latest movie Kalki, Rajasekhar himself used the dialogue Em Septiri Em Septiri, a couple of times, which sounded like taking a dig in the reverse.

Talking about the same, Rajasekhar didn’t open up on the talk that he has taken a dig at Pawan Kalyan this way by using the same actor who imitated him in Gabbar Singh and hitting him as well. “When I used that dialogue for the first time, I didn’t know that it is my own line. But when I’m shooting for a scene with the same dialogue again, Jeevitha is there on sets and reminded me that it is my dialogue only. People are enjoying that dialogue” he says, avoiding any negative talk.

It looks like the senior hero doesn’t want to get into any controversies at a time when his film is running and also his daughter’s movie up for release.

Taapsee To Play Cricketer Mithali Raj

Taapsee is all set to play cricketer Mithali Raj in her biopic. Taapsee will be seen as the captain of Indian women’s cricket team Mithali in the sports biopic. It is buzzed that Viacom 18 will bankroll the movie in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.

Taapsee has agreed to do the film and given her consent for the project. However, she is yet to sign the film on the dotted line. The producers are looking out for a director to handle the movie. Once the director comes on board, the film will go onto the floors.

Born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Mithali’s father is an officer in Indian Air Force and her mother is from Tamil Nadu. Mithali started playing cricket at the age of 10 and she was selected for Indian women’s cricket team at the age of 17. Mithali lives in Hyderabad. She went to a girls school in Secunderabad and studied her intermediate in girls college in Secunderabad. She underwent cricket coaching in Secunderabad. With Telugu connect and Taapsee being the lead, the makers are hoping that the film will also work in Telugu.

However, Taapsee’s last film Game Over that garnered unanimous positive reviews failed to rake in the moolah. With the story of women cricketer Kousalya Krishnamurthy is already gearing up for release, Mithali Raj biopic may not be interesting for the regional audience. Let’s wait and see, what is in store.

Saaho Update Looks Like Tourism Ad!

Prabhas’ upcoming Saaho is all set for a massive release on August 15th and the makers have for the first time given an update about the shooting of the movie as it is into the last schedule. But the update actually looked like a promotion of tourism in one particular country.

The update is regarding how the shooting is going on the European country of Austria, where they have shot at Innsbruck and Tirol regions. And they have given a detail of which towns, which locations and which dancers are used for the songs shoot and to cane other scenes. Going by the details provided in the press note, one wonders why such a detailed presentation for Austria.

Some say that the team of Saaho is actually getting some financial cash-backs for doing this as many countries are offering a 50% discount on the total budget incurred for a movie if their country is well promoted. Whatever it may, Saaho is the first film to announce about the various list of locations they have shot at, in a particular country.

On the other hand, Saaho makers confirmed that two songs are finished in the Austrian schedule while some spectacular other scenes are also canned. But this seems to have not impacted the plans of Pawan of making big in AP politics in near future.Pawan is learnt to be making swift moves to emerge as “Main Opposition” party to YSRCP in AP.

This is because the main opposition party TDP is in doldrums and not in a position to fight against YSRCP as TDP itself is struggling to keep its house in order.TDP is facing threat from YSRCP and BJP as TDP leaders and cadre are planning to quit party and join either YSRCP or BJP.

This left a vaccum for main opposition in AP which Pawan Kalyan wants to exploit.According to Jana Sena sources, Pawan Kalyan is planning to hit the roads against the failures of CM Jagan and YSRCP government.

Pawan Kalyan is planning to get closer to farmers by launching series of agitation programmes against failure of Jagan in ensuring adequate fertilisers and seeds for farmers though Kharif season has begun.

Farmers are forced to queue up before shops for seeds and fertilisers and this has been leading to farmers protests and violent incidents in all the districts in AP.Instead of addressing this issue, YSRCP government is putting blame of previous TDP government for shortage.

Pawan is questioning Jagan what prevented him from taking rectification measures since he became CM one month ago.Pawan is asking Jagan to focus on addressing people’s issues first who voted him to power instead of engaging himself on insignificant issues like demolishing Praja Vedika, digging up old cases against previous TDP government and making attempts to send Chandrababu Naidu to jail.

Pawan also wants to take up the issue of delay in implementing Navaratnalu and lack of clarity on how required funds will be mobilised for Navaratnalu while AP is facing severe financial crisis.
Pawan wants to remain in the public for the next five years highlighting the failures of Jagan and simultaneously replace TDP as main opposition in AP and project Jana Sena as better alternative force for YSRCP.

Pawan is planning to hit the roads anytime after August 15 and is confident that several of the TDP and Congress leaders will soon join Jana Sena to take on YSRCP in the next Assembly polls.

4 Indian-Americans Arrested In US For H1B Visa Fraud

WASHINGTON: Four Indian-American executives from two IT staffing companies have been arrested on charges of fraudulently using the H-1B visa programme to gain an unfair advantage over their competitors, a US attorney has said.

The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows US companies to employ foreign workers in speciality occupations that require theoretical or technical expertise.

Vijay Mane, 39, Venkataramana Mannam, 47, and Fernando Silva, 53, from New Jersey while Sateesh Vemuri, 52, from California were each charged by complaint with one count of conspiracy to commit visa fraud, the Department of Justice said on Tuesday.

Mr Vemuri made his initial appearance on July 1 before the US Magistrate Judge Steven C Mannion in Newark federal court while Mr Mannam and Mr Silva appeared before the US Magistrate Judge Leda Dunn Wettre in Newark federal court on June 25. Mane appeared before Judge Wettre on June 27.

All were released on $250,000 bond, the Department of Justice said.

The conspiracy charge carries a maximum potential penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

According to the Department of Justice, Mr Mane, Mr Mannam, and Mr Vemuri controlled two IT staffing companies– Procure Professionals Inc and Krypto IT Solutions Inc– located in Middlesex County, New Jersey.

Similarly, Mr Silva and Mr Mannam also controlled another New Jersey staffing company, referred to in the complaint as “Client A.”

They used Procure and Krypto to recruit foreign nationals and sponsor them for H-1B visas, which allow recipients to live and work temporarily in the US in positions requiring specialised skills.

To expedite their visa applications, the defendants caused Procure and Krypto to file H-1B applications falsely asserting that the foreign worker/beneficiaries had already secured positions at Client A, when, in reality, no such positions existed, federal prosecutors alleged.

Instead, they used these fraudulent applications to build a “bench” of job candidates already admitted to the United States, who could then be hired out immediately to client companies without the need to wait through the visa application process, giving the defendants an advantage over their competitors in the staffing industry.

Kohli, Shastri wanted Mayank as replacement

Birmingham: The sudden news of all-rounder Vijay Shankar being ruled out of the 2019 World Cup with a toe injury before the Bangladesh game and the move to bypass the list of reserves and name Mayank Agarwal as replacement definitely raises eyebrows.

To think that despite naming Ambati Rayudu as a batting reserve when the selectors — led by M.S.K. Prasad — announced the 15-member squad for the showpiece event and to then ignore him and fly in Mayank surely raises questions as to what made the national selectors change their mind.

Speaking to IANS, sources in the know of developments said that the call to pick Mayank and not Rayudu was in fact made by the team management and not the five-member selection panel.

“The team management had made it clear that they wanted Mayank as replacement for the injured Shankar. There was no question of the selectors debating that,” the source said.

While it is no secret that Mayank has had a brilliant start to his India career as he impressed in the Test series Down Under, the fact that the Karnataka batsman can bat at the top of the order against the moving ball and K.L. Rahul can return to his preferred number four slot can also be a consideration behind the move to pick Mayank.

But the source added that Mayank’s show in the tri-series against the England and West Indies ‘A’ teams in the summer of 2018 was also one of the reasons why the team management felt it was best suited to get him to join the team at Leeds on Wednesday.

“If you see the record he had during the one-day series against the ‘A’ teams, you will see that he scored 287 runs in four innings with two hundreds. Not to forget his 151 against Leicestershire in the warm-up game. That series was also played in June and July and the general thought is that he is versatile and can adapt well,” the source pointed.

While this once again shows the need for a chairman in the selection panel who can put his foot down and make calls, it also makes one wonder as to why did the team management play Shankar in the game against West Indies if he was already carrying a toe injury after being hit by a Jasprit Bumrah yorker in the nets ahead of the game.

Also, why was Shankar made to run in and serve drinks to the Indian players during the England game? Clearly there is more to this than meets the eye.
