Will This Telugu Girl Gets Second Break?
Despite the fact that she is a native Telugu speaker and more glamorous than many other heroines out there, somehow Razole beauty Anjali is not able to get the much needed high from Telugu film industry.
Though she acted in numerous films, Anjali is not well-known heroine until the Tamil flick “Journey” succeeded big time in Telugu as well. That gave her the first break. Since then she’s part of some hits like Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Geethanjali, but nothing worked big in her favour. That made her push herself to Kollywood again.
Now that Anjali is coming up with “Lissa 3D” movie, not only she has lost oodles of weight but is looking more refreshing and hot. And the film is a time-tested formulaic ghost movie, which could work if engagement is done well. And in the end, it has to give much needed second break to Anjali in Tollywood.
Some say that had Anjali not be struck with personal issues, she would have become a superstar by now.
Hero, Heroine’s 2 Films To Release On Same Date!
It is once in a blue moon that two films belonging to same hero releasing on the same date. In 90s Nandamuri Balakrishna has done with ‘Nippu Rava’ and ‘Bangaru Bullodu.’ Years later Ravi Teja and Nani have done this unique feat. Probably for the first time, two films belonging to same hero and heroine are releasing on the same date which is whole together a rare feat.
The achievers are Indian Michael Jackson, Prabhudeva and Milky beauty Tamannaah. The lead pair’s films ‘Devi 2’ (Abhinetri 2 in Telugu) and ‘Khamoshi’ are likely to share same release date. Coincidentally, both the film’s genre is also similar which is horror backdrop.
‘Devi 2’ was supposed to hit the screens on May 1st but due to the storm of ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ the release was pushed. Now we hear from the makers that they are considering May 31st as the new release date. Then came ‘Khamoshi.’ The producers of the film have locked May 31st too as the release date. The child artist in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Sagara Sangamam’ Chakri Toleti has directed ‘Khamoshi.’ He is attempting a horror genre for the first time.
While the release dates of the above two films are almost confirmed, Prabhudeva and Tamannaah are not intervening in the issue. Nevertheless, the producers are the ones who are responsible and are supposed to take a call on clash and avoid it. For now there is no sign from producers of either films but we hope they really work on it.
When Film Is Average, Stars Matter!
A film has turned to be pretty average and still it could collect crores. Take the case of DJ Duvvada Jagannadham, Geetha Govindam or the recently released Maharshi. But such things won’t happen for other films, even if they followed same post-release publicity plans.
Recently we have seen how Maharshi movie got an average talk on day one, and then the team pulled off a mega stunt. Including Mahesh Babu, other big cast like Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh joined Dil Raju and Vamsi Paidipally in giving a lot of promotional interviews, holding success meets and promoting the film extensively on day to day basis. That worked big time for them.
But then, when the team of Allu Sirish’s ABCD or earlier Sai Dharam’s Chitralahari tried to do the same, they didn’t get good results. While Chitralahari’s acts worked a bit, ABCD’s acts failed massively as the film is witnessing major drop in collections on first Monday.
Simply put, when big stars like Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu promote an average film excessively, there will be more footfalls. And if upcoming stars like Allu Sirish do, there will not be of much use. They have to depend only on content. Also that explains what ‘stardom’ actually means.
Satire On Maharshi Led To DSP’s Walk Out?
Apparently, top music director Devi Sri Prasad is completely out of form and the songs he composed for latest big budgeted films are neither catchy nor stunning. And recently he got ousted from “Valmiki” movie that features Varun Tej in the led. They say that DSP himself has walked out of the film for unknown reasons.
A rumour is doing rounds that satires on Maharshi movie have really upset Devi Sri Prasad and hence he walked out of this Harish Shankar film. The rumour is that a crucial member from Valmiki team has asked DSP to give some stunning tunes for the film, unlike Maharshi whose tunes we can’t remember and sing after coming out of theatres.
While DSP is celebrating Maharshi success big time by attending each and every possible press meet and celebration of the film, Valmiki team saying that Maharshi got weak music has hurt the talented composer, they say. Anyway, Valmiki will now feature another talented musician Mickey J Meyer scoring for it.
Why is KCR silent after exit polls?
Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has proved to be a practical leader, unlike his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu.
Though he had been trying to bring all the neutral regional parties together to form a federal front to enable it to bargain for power at the Centre, he has maintained a very low profile.
The moment he has realised that there are not many takers for his federal front proposal, KCR dropped hints that he was to join hands with the Congress-led coalition, subject to the condition that Rahul Gandhi should not be in the driver’s seat.
At the time, he also kept the options open for extending support to the NDA if such a situation arises.
But whatever the TRS president is doing, he has done it in a planned way, without disclosing his strategies to anybody, unlike Naidu, who has been running from pillar to post in the name of building an anti-BJP coalition.
However, when the exit polls conducted by various agencies and national media houses revealed that the BJP is coming to power on its own without anybody’s support as had happened in 2014, KCR quickly retracted himself into the shell.
The TRS chief is said to be planning to continue his stand of maintaining equi-distance from the BJP and the Congress. He will come out with more clarity after the election results on Thursday!
Naidu’s build-up for two more days!
Almost all the national survey agencies and media houses have predicted that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come back to power for a second term.
The numbers might be slightly different, but it is almost certain that the BJP will be back in the hot seat in Delhi.
Even the opposition parties including the Congress, Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and others are understood to have lost their hopes as there are nowhere near the magic figure even if all the parties come together.
Yet, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is trying to give a build-up that he will stitch together all the opposition parties under the auspices of the Congress and bring them to power.
After repeated visits to Delhi, he went to Lukcknow to meet Akhilesh and Mayawati. On Monday, he left for Kolkata to meet Mamata Banerjee to discuss the post-poll scenario.
In fact, the TDP chief is very much aware that he is going to face a miserable defeat it the assembly elections in the hands of YSR Congress party led by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. Even in the Lok Sabha elections, the TDP is unlikely to get more than a half a dozen seats.
It is not that Naidu is not aware of the ground reality. But as long as he is in the chief minister’s chair, he has to protect his image and cannot concede defeat just like that.
So, he is running from one state to the other in the name of forming the grand alliance only to get the image that he is playing a key role at least at the national level.
However, analysts say, Naidu can sustain this drama only for another 48 hours. After two days, he will have nothing to do in Delhi as the BJP is most likely to come to power and also in AP, where he is going to concede power to YSRC.
KCR ‘celebrated’ Naidu’s defeat in exit polls!
TRS chief and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao is learnt to have celebrated the defeat of TDP chief and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu in the exit polls released by various national and local agencies.
KCR, who visited Kaleshwaram temple and Kaleshwaram irrigation project on Sunday came straight to Pragathi Bhavan by 6 pm to watch exit polls results in various TV channels from 6.30 pm.
According to TRS sources, KCR watched the exit polls results of AP Assembly polls than Telangana Lok Sabha polls with a confidence that TRS will anyway sweep the Lok Sabha polls with a thumping majority,
By 8 pm, when all the major exit polls hinted at TDP’s defeat and YSRCP victory in AP Assembly polls, KCR jumped with joy and ordered his staff to serve sweets and snacts to all the TRS leaders, few ministers and others present in the Pragathi Bhavan.
KCR is learnt to have told TRS leaders that with this defeat Chandrababu’s political career will hit dead end and both Naidu and TDP will become a history by 2024 general elections.
KCR is learnt to have expressed joy saying that TDP which was already wiped out in Telangana and will now face similar situation at the hands of Jagan.
KCR is learnt to have also reminded about his ‘return gift to Naidu’ saying that the return gift has been delivered with exit polls and will reach Naidu on May 23 in the form of big defeat at the hands of Jagan when results will be announced.
KCR is upbeat that TDP will never recover in Telangana with defeat in AP and it will vanish in both the states very soon with leftover leaders and cadrein TDP in both the states will migrate to other parties.
Top 5: Maharshi Retains Top Spot For Second Weekend
1) Maharshi: Maharshi retained its top spot for second consecutive weekend at box office.
The new releases couldn’t impact Maharshi much as it continued to enjoy decent run at ticket windows.
The makers have been releasing hyped numbers, but that aside, Maharshi has done well so far for its content and average reports. It is a goner in overseas markets though.
2) ABCD: Allu Sirish’s hopes of scoring a big hit with the remake of Malayalam hit ABCD came crashing down as it got the collective thumbs down from critics and audiences alike.
It has opened well on its day 1, but crashed from day 2 due to below par reports.
Team ABCD tried to pull off Maharshi’s feat by conducting success meets in the first weekend itself, but there isn’t any growth in its collections.
3) De De Pyar De: Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Rakul Preet starrer De De Pyar De opened to mixed reports and decent openings.
Ajay’s triangular romance as a middle aged man needs to hold well in the week days to be a safe venture.

It is still trending top with decent returns on weekends.
