Mani Ratnam Gives A Negative Role for Beauty Queen?

Former Miss World and the most beautiful actress, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, is all set to reunite with the ace director Mani Ratnam for his next project called Ponniyan Selvan. It is a period drama set in the 10th century. The movie is said to be an iconic flick coming from the legendary filmmaker and the story is all about the life of Chola Emperor Arulmozhi Varman.

Thr role of Aishwarya is said to be a very challenging one. Post her wedding with Abhishek Bachchan in 2005, this gorgeous lady has been doing selective and unique movies. Now, she chose to play a negative role as Nandini in Ponniyan Selvan. The character Nandini is extremely beautiful yet she is manipulative and condescending, trapping people for self-satisfaction.

The movie will also have Vikram, Simbu, Jayam Ravi in the main roles. Actress Amala Paul will play a pivotal role. Aishwarya, as a manipulative wife of the emperor(Periya Pazhuvettaraiyar), will certainly lead the story with her exceptional acting prowess. Mani Ratnam is planning to take this multi-starrer film on floors by the end of this year.

YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s childhood friend and the former Union Minister Sai Prathap Reddy has turned emotional and returned to Congress. He has joined Congress in the presence of AICC Secretary Mayeppan, AP PCC chief Raghuveera Reddy, AP PCC vice president Tulasi Reddy and other Congress leaders in Kadapa yesterday.

Sai Prathap Reddy expressed his regret over quitting the Congress. He stated that he will remain in Congress till his last breath and asked them to cover his mortal remains with Congress flag when he dies.

Sai Prathap Reddy had quit Congress over the bifurcation of the state. He had later joined ruling TDP in March 2016 in the presence of Chandrababu Naidu. However, he was unhappy over the treatment in TDP. He was upset that he was denied Rajampet Parliament seat from where he represented Lok Sabha for six terms. He had quit TDP in March 2019.

Finally, Sai Prathap Reddy returned to Congress fold. He paid floral tributes to Indira Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi and YSR’s photographs. He said good days are ahead for Congress in AP. Sai Prathap also wished to see Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister.

The moot question is that why Sai Prathap hasn’t opted for joining YSR Congress party.

Tamil star Dhanush has been ranked at 43.

Charmme Bids Goodbye to Acting

She has announced it herself that she will not take up acting assignments further.

In an interview to GreatAndhra.com, the actress, who celebrates her 32nd birthday on May 17, has revealed that she has decided to retire from acting three years ago. But she has not made it public until now.

She has done 55 films as actress in her nearly 15-years long career. Charmee is now into film production.

“Since I hail from business family, I am more enterprising and want to continue as producer,” she declared.

Charmme also made it clear that she would not take up item songs or character roles.

Ceded being the mass-dominated territory, Jersey struggled to reach the breakeven mark as it got stiff competition from pucca mass entertainer Kanchana 3 that also released on the same day as it.

Ceded distributor has lost around Rs. 65 lacs and the Nizam distributor is the biggest benefiter. In Nizam, Jersey made around Rs. 3.75 crore profits.
