South Superstar Rajinikanth whose previous outing ‘Petta’ turned out to be a super hit in Kollywood is now going to come up with his upcoming movie ‘Darbar’. AR Murugadoss is helming this project.
The movie is set with Mumbai backdrop and Rajinikanth will be seen playing the role of a sincere cop in the film. Nayanthara is playing the female lead in this movie. As per the latest reports, the makers have dropped in a transgender actress to play a crucial role in this movie. Jeeva, a transgender actress is a well known face in Kollywood. She previously acted in Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Dharma Durai’ movie. Now, the actress is going to share the screen space with Rajinikanth in ‘Darbar’. The netizens are appreciating AR murugadoss for his decision to rope in Jeeva.
Niveda Thomas and Prateik Babar are playing vital roles in this movie. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring music for this film and Santosh Sivan is cracking the camera for the film.

As the actors have to be informed early enough about every press tour and take dates for every single meeting that producer wants to conduct, post release press meets and success meets are planned well in advance.
These used to be a great strategical meets as people used to feel that the mouth talk they heard from their friends group could be false and someone somewhere is watching the film.
Today, they have become an extension of promotions and off no meaning. ANR and NTR used to visit theatres only when their films crossed 100 or 150 days of exhibition that too at special requests.
During Krishna and Chiranjeevi time, success tours of landmark hits used to be very common. They went a step ahead in late 80’s and conducted public success events on large scale until there used to be closed door parties and rare visits to special theatres.
During 90’s every producer started organising success tours after 3rd or 4th week, when collections used to take a dip for a film that managed to become a hit. In 2000’s again this became rare as stars did not want to be so visible and easily accessible.
But in 2010’s, the post release success meets have become a big deal. They have become a compulsion to such an extent that until hero or producer cancels the event, press is invited to them and there will be tours to theaters, no matter however the movie is performing.
It genuinely started as a “Thank You” to audiences and fans of the films and now they have become “Compulsion” meets. You see all of the young actors ready to take off clothes on stage if it helps to promote their film and post release success meets and tours for even small films seem just an abuse of strategy than showing the worth of the film.

Not appropriate to demolish Praja Vedika: Chandrababu
TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu who returned from his vacation, met key leaders of his party and discussed about the latest political developments in AP state. Chandrababu is said to have commented on Praja Vedika which is likely to get demolished tomorrow after the announcement came from AP CM YS Jagan.
”It’s not appropriate to demolish Praja Vedika. The AP government should reconsider their decision,” said Chandrababu and he reminded that many statues of YS Rajasekhar Reddy were established without permission but TDP government did not touch them.
Also the opposition leader found fault on the attacks being happening on TDP workers all over the state. ”Ever since YSRCP came into power, 130 incidents took place. This shows the law & order got disturbed in the state,” aaded Naidu and also mentioned that the security to his family members is removed without any notice.
Jagan cuts down Naidu family’s security
AP CM YS Jagan is cutting down all the privileges to opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu one by one. A day after announcing the demolition of Praja Vedika, Jagan led YSRCP government has once again reduced the security. Already right after taking oath as CM, the convoy size of Naidu was decreased and now the TDP chief’s family members security is brought down.
Along with Chandrababu, Nara Lokesh is also in the Z Plus category list and he used to have 5+5 security. This has been reduced to 2+2 gun mans while the security to rest of the family members is completely removed. This did not go well with TDP sources and they lashed out at YSRCP government for failing to communicate and inform before removing the security.
Meanwhile Chandrababu who went on a vacation last week, returned to the city on Monday morning. TDP key leaders will meet and Naidu and they would discuss about the MPs who have defected to BJP. After this meeting Chandrababu might call the media and make a comment.
Merger of 12 Congress MLAs with TRS ‘illegal’: Acharya
New Delhi: The merger of 12 Congress MLAs in Telangana with the TRS and the merger of four TDP Rajya Sabha members with the BJP are “illegal” as they violate the law, said former Lok Sabha Secretary General P.D.T. Acharya.
In an interview to Karan Thapar, Acharya said: “Yes, the merger of the 12 Congress MLAs in Telangana with the TRS and the merger of the four TDP Rajya Sabha MPs with the BJP are illegal as they are not in accordance with the law.”
He said the so-called mergers were “certainly illegal” and not in accordance with the 10th schedule of the Constitution.
He said that for a merger, a party has to merge with another political party and its MLAs or MPs have to agree to the merger.
“But in these two cases the original parties have not merged while their legislators and the MPs have merged,” he said.
He said if the two original parties do not merge, then there is no merger.
Acharya said that under law, a person who defects to another party is saved from disqualification if he claims that his original party has merged with another party and that two-third of the members of the party and the legislator have agreed to the merger.
“So these are the two conditions,” he said. “…the merger has to take place first.”
If the two parties do not merge, then there is no merger, Acharya replied. “There is no merger in the eye of law.”
Woman hangs self after YSRCP-TDP clash in Andhra
Amaravati: A woman worker of opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) committed suicide after an alleged attack by a group belonging to ruling YSR Congress Party (YDRCP) in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in Rudramambapuram village in Chinnaganjam ‘mandal’ (block) of Prakasam district.
B. Padma (28) was injured in the alleged attack by YSRCP workers on her house. Upset over the incident in which an attacker slapped her, she hanged herself to death in her house.
The incident is suspected to be a sequel to a clash between the two groups in the recent elections.
The incident led to tension in the village. Senior officials visited the village to review the situation.
Parts of the state have been witnessing post-poll clashes between YSRCP and TDP workers for more than a month.
Simultaneous elections to state Assembly and Lok Sabha were held on April 11 while the results were declared on May 23.
Meanwhile, Director General of Police Gautam Sawang asked police force to be alert in view of the current post-poll clashes and upcoming local body elections.
“We still have simmering issues emerging but we anticipate them not to be organized but localized. We will very soon contain them but as long exist they will cause disturbances in society,” the police chief told the police officers during the conference of district collectors in the presence of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday.
