Pawan Targets Entire Mega Family
After the huge disaster of ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ movie, Power Star Pawan Kalyan has bid his goodbyes to films and has been concentrating on politics. Despite losing in the 2019 elections, the actor and politician wants to stay in politics.
It is known that Pawan Kalyan seriously needs money for his political works right now. So, he is going to revive his production banner Pawan Kalyan’s Creative Works. As per the latest reports Pawan Kalyan is going to kick start bankrolling movies on that banner very soon. On an interesting note, Ram Charan has already accepted a movie under Pawan Kalyan’s banner. Even other mega heroes like a Varun Tej and Sai Dharam Tej also gave their nods for this banner. But, it is known that Pawan Kalyan has been struggling to pick good scripts these days. So, he is going to take help from his brother Megastar Chiranjeevi.
So, from now on even though we can’t see Pawan Kalyan’s name as a hero, we can see him as a producer and the fans are very much excited to to see the Mega Hero movies under this banner.
BJP shaming itself by approaching ‘outdated’ leaders in TS!
The BJP in Telangana got a major boost and good image after it achieved surprising results in recent Lok Sabha polls.
BJP, which contested alone in Telangana for the first time, won four Lok Sabha seats proving all pre and post poll surveys wrong and beating all the expectations.
More than winning four seats, the major achievement for BJP was trouncing TRS chief and TS CM KCR’s daughter Kavitha in Nizamabad and KCR’s close aide B Vinod Kumar in Karimnagar.
More importantly, the BJP has shed its image of a party with presence in only GHMC limits. BJP made inroads into Northern Telangana districts, known to be citadels of TRS, namely Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Adilabad.
The winners from all these four seats are first-timers and purely belong to BJP.
Instead of cashing in on these factors to expand its base and become an alternative to TRS by 2023 Assembly polls by developing its own leaders, the BJP is relying on ‘outdated’ and ‘third-rate leaders’ from other parties to become stronger in TS.
The BJP is holding talks with former Congress MPs Sarvey Satyanarayana and Balram Naik, who are outdated, famous for abusive language and rated as a third-rate politicians who have no credibility or respect among people.
The BJP is also looking at few more ‘outdated’ leaders in TTDP like Peddi Reddy, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, L Ramana etc, who are not capable to win direct elections.
If BJP thinks that just by admitting so-called senior leaders of other parties, it can beat TRS in Telangana, it will end up as a laughing stock.
These outdated leaders will only harm BJP and benefit TRS with their third-grade politics.
People voted for Bandi Sanjay, D.Arvind, Soyam Babu Rao and G Kishan Reddy as MPs because they are real BJP leaders and not defected leaders.
By inviting outdated and third-rate leaders from other parties, the BJP is only shaming itself after achieving decent results in recent LS polls.
Junior Deverakonda Signing More Films
Vijay Deverakonda’s younger brother Anand Deverakonda is debuting in “Dorasani”, a period love story that also introduces Rajasekhar’s younger daughter Shivathmika as the actress. The film will release on July 12, 2019.
Even before the movie’s release, Anand Deverakonda is getting good offers from new directors. He has already signed two films and one of them has already begun pre-production.
The other film will go to the sets in August. Getting two films even before the release of first film is a huge achievement.
Unlike his brother Vijay Deverakonda, Anand Deverakonda wants to speak neutral Telugu accent in his next films.
Although he will speak Telangana accent in “Dorasani” as the film is set in rural Telangana, his next love story is set in Guntur.
Interestingly, Vijay Deverakonda is not promoting his brother’s debut movie. He wants his brother come up independently. His support will be there but he will not promote this film.
5th International Yoga Day at Gandhi Memorial
Dallas, Texas: More than 300 NRI’s participated at the “5th International Day of Yoga” hosted by Mahatma Gandhi Memorial of North Texas (MGMNT) in association with Consul General of India, Houston at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial on June 22nd.
Irving City Mayor Rick Stopfer attended the event as Chief Guest of Honor and Consul Rakesh Banati from Consul General of India, Houston as a Special Guest.
MGMNT Secretary Rao Kalvala in his opening remarks welcomed the gathering and stated it is very apt to conduct yoga day at Gandhi Memorial as Gandhi himself was an ardent yoga practitioner.
MGMNT Co-Chair B.N.Rao said it is heartening to see hundreds of NRI’s in all age groups gathering at this Gandhi Memorial to learn and practice yoga with passion.
MGMNT Founder Chair Dr. Prasad Thotakura asserted that yoga is not spiritual but should be everyday ritual. Yoga keeps body fit and mind alert. Sound body and sound mind make a healthy society. There is no age restriction, racial discrimination, cultural or language barriers to practice yoga.
The art of yoga is a great gift given by India to the world. It is very impressive to see millions of people in more than 170 countries celebrating June 21st as Yoga Day that was declared by UNO.
Dr. Thotakura requested Mayor Stopfer to introduce Yoga as an extracurricular activity in all schools at all levels in the City of Irving to which Mayor responded positively.
Chief Guest Mayor Stopfer in his message articulated the enormous benefits of yoga, welcomed all participants to Yoga Day and thanked MGMNT Board for hosting such an important event.
Consul Rakesh Banati reminded the gathering that Hon. Prime minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi initiated and introduced June 21 as International Day of Yoga 5 years ago which was unanimously resolved by UNO.
Dr. Prasad Thotakura introduced 92nd Scripps National Spelling Bee three champions who are from Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.
The winners Abhijay Kodali, Sohum Sukhatankar, Rohan Raja along with their parents were felicitated by MGMNT Board and the Guests.
MGMNT presented $2,000 annual scholarship to University of Texas at Dallas, Richardson to Monique Wedderburn, Director, Asia Center through Mayor Rick Stopfer.
Yoga instructors Vijay and Peggy demonstrated the techniques and intricacies of Yoga that was followed by hundreds of NRI’s who practiced for almost 2 hours with passion.
MGMNT Treasurer Abhijit Railkar in his closing remarks thanked all the volunteers, Kamal Kaushal, Dinesh Hooda, Sailesh Shaha, attendees, guests, Media partners, Music Masti Magic for A/V, Bombay Studio for Photography, Sarigama restaurant for providing water bottles.
MGMNT presented Participation Certificates and served Breakfast to all attendees.
US Box-Office: Agent Scores in Dull Phase
Dull phase at overseas box-office is continuing. Even Mahesh Babu’s “Maharshi” didn’t set cash registers ringing in USA.
“Maharshi” was huge in domestic market but was a flop in USA. All other Telugu movies followed the same trend thereafter. The dull phase is continuing in overseas market.
Despite such bad phase, “Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya” a film with no known faces and new director has surprisingly taken decent numbers.
The film took in more than $130k in its opening weekend making it already a huge profitable project for the distributor.
Since the cast and crew is unknown to the general public, the distributor snapped the rights for paltry amount. Good reviews and word-of-mouth has helped the movie taking in such decent numbers in first weekend.

The other release “Mallesham” has failed to bring in audiences though it saw some growth on Saturday.
The film featured a well-known comedian Priyadarshi in the lead role but audiences show didn’t much interest due to its serious content. The off-beat movie is heading towards flop.
Rang De Is The Title For Nithin – Venky Atluri Film
Nithin, who took a long break after three back to back flops, is on a signing spree now.
His upcoming film Bheeshma with Venky Kudumula was recently launched and pooja ceremony was held for his next film with Chandrasekhar Yeleti on Sunday. Rakul Preet and Priya Prakash are the female leads in it.
Now the title for his movie with Venky Atluri is announced. It is titled Rang De and will be produced by Sitara Entertainments.
The title has been taken from the pallavi of super hit song from Nithin’s A Aa. It is a romantic entertainer and will be launched shortly.
Nithin will not be taking one day leave until he is done with these three films. He has taken enough time to find the right scripts to bounce back from the hat-trick flops.
Nagarjuna Asks Not to Reveal Remuneration
Nagarjuna will host the season 3 of “Bigg Boss”, the popular reality TV show. Then how much he will get as remuneration for this show?
Star Maa and Endemol India have made a contract with him for the season 3 and as per the contract his remuneration should not be revealed to the public.
Nagarjuna will get the same remuneration that NTR Jr received for the first season. But Nagarjuna doesn’t want this news to be out. He doesn’t want comparisons with any actor regarding payment.
Kamal Haasan has been hosting the show in Tamil for the three seasons. He is said to be getting huge remuneration. It is not clear whether Nagarjuna is receiving on par with Kamal Haasan or less than him.
Small screen is not a new zone to Nagarjuna as he had already hosted “Meelo Evaru Koteeshwarudu”, Telugu version of “Kaun Banega Karodpati” successfully earlier.
Promos are being aired on Star MAA. The promos are not revealing the face of Nagarjuna yet though he has starred in them.
It is a promotional gimmick to create suspense and interest in audiences.
He will meet the press next week to announce his decision to host this show which was earlier presented by NTR and Nani for the season one and season two respectively.
Burrakatha Trailer: One Man, Two Brains!
Burrakatha is the story about a young man who has two different minds working in tandem. The concept is somewhat similar to Naga Chaitanya’s Savyasachi.
Directed by Diamond Ratnababu, the concept of Burrakatha looks unique, but looks like it has regular commercial format with all the elements of a commercial entertainer.
Aadhi Sai Kumar performance is similar to his previous movies like Lovely and Prema Kavali.
There is Rajendra Prasad playing his father role and Prudhvi spoofing the dialogue of Prabhas from Saaho teaser!
Burrakatha trailer doesn’t have anything exciting except for its concept. Even the comedy looks dull and dated.
Mishti Chakraborthy and Naira Shah are the female leads in it. The film is produced by HK Srikanth Deepala and Kishore on Deepala Arts.
Let’s see if this concept based commercial film gives the much needed break for Sai Kumar’s son.
Only Factor That Might Hurt Saaho!
After the teaser proved its mettle, the arrival of Ghibran as composer aboard has made “Saaho” more interesting for the audiences across India. And then, everyone is waiting for the film’s trailer to hit the marquee such that they could enjoy the film more after it hits cinemas on August 15th.
Currently, the film is enjoying its hype due to the presence of super talented Prabhas, Bollywood diva Shraddha Kapoor and its mind blowing visuals. However, if looked carefully, some of the computer generated effects are looking quite poor and like a mismatch. Without realistic rendering, these graphics pose a huge threat to a film’s success.
In recent times, despite the fact those films have good content, movies like Rudramadevi suffered at the box office due to bad quality visual effects. For the now, the only factor that could hurt Saaho is this VFX portion only. Some say that they have rushed with the output of teaser, hence that little jitter in some shots, but inside the final output of the movie, graphics will be top notch.
Directed by Sujeeth, Prabhas’ Saaho is being produced by UV Creations and T-Series together.
Kabir Singh beats Arjun Reddy’s lifetime business in 2 days
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2017 Telugu hit Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey was a massive success upon its release and had turned out to be a sensation.
Now, its Hindi remake Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani is turning out to be an even bigger success with collections going over Rs 20 crore mark for two days in a row.
While the movie opened to a record-breaking Rs 20.21 crore on day one, the day 2 collection is estimated to be even higher.
According to a report in Box office India, Kabir Singh has seen a little growth in its collection on day 2 as it earned in the range of Rs 21 crore-22 crore nett figures.
For a movie that is A rated and opened huge, the day 2 collection is commendable and establishes the fact that it’s going to be a huge success at the box office.
The two days nett figures of Kabir Singh are now estimated to be in the range of Rs 41 crore-42 crore.
The report further claims that Arjun Reddy had grossed Rs 49 crore in its lifetime run at the time of its release in 2017 and Kabir Singh has beaten that figure in just two days of its release as its nett figure maybe in the range of Rs 42 crore but when we take into consideration the gross collection, Kabir Singh hits Rs 50 crore mark.
Again, this is all just early estimate but one thing is for sure the final day 2 collections are going to be huge and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga will be a happy man as his remake has become a nationwide sensation now.
There are chances that the film will become the highest Shahid Kapoor solo grosser in just three days.
