It is known that Samantha Akkineni’s upcoming movie ‘Oh Baby is all set to hit the screens on July 5th. Directed by Nandini Reddy, Rajendra Prasad, Rao Ramesh, Naga Shourya etc are playing crucial roles in this movie.

Recently, during the pre release event of the film, Rajendra Prasad made some interesting comments about the movie which are now going viral on the Internet. “There are so many interesting elements in the story and screenplay of ‘Oh Baby’. I played the role of Baby’s boyfriend. Me and Lakshmi run a hotel. She calls me Chanti. One day, Lakshmi suddenly disappears and Samantha comes in front and calls me Chanti. You have to watch what happens next in the theatre only. I’ve already worked with the Bhanumathi garu in ‘Bamma Bata Bangaru Bata’, Anjali Devi garu in ‘Brundavanam’ and I am excited to work with Lakshmi garu in this film” said Rajendra Prasad.

“Director Nandini Reddy said that no one can justify Chanti’s role except for me. Samantha used to take suggestions from me in comedy scenes. There is a scene where she hits me and she acted very boldly. Also, our chemistry worked out well in the film,” added Rajendra Prasad.

Looks like the actor is promoting himself more than the film.

With the arrival of July month, many are eagerly waiting to see when will the reality show Big Boss actually take off. The Tamil version has already taken off and started creating superb interest as well due to its diversified contestants. So when is #BigBoss3Telugu going to get kick-started?

Reports are coming that the set construction work of Big Boss has almost come to an end, and there are only some final touches left. All the electronic devices are being tested now, as the various cameras need to be set up inside this new house erected at Annapurna Studios. And then, Nagarjuna has to come back to India as well.

While Nagarjuna comes back to India in a week or so, wrapping the Switzerland shoot of Manmadhudu 2, he will then start the promotions of the film as the film is set for August 9th. Recently when Samantha visited Tirumala to offer prayers to Lord Balaji before the release of Oh Baby movie, she was filmed by enthusiasts at every possible place, all the way from the point she started taking steps to her guest house. And at one place, she’s seen pushing her popped out Mangalsutra (it seemed like one) back into the dress and that became a sensation now.

Many videos have mushroomed now with clickbait headings where they ask the users things like ‘Do you know what Samantha did with her Mangalsutra?’. Except for the fact that she adjusted the gold ornament while taking the holy steps, there is no more content inside these videos.

One wonders what these YouTube channel owners think when it comes to cash on every single aspect of a celebrity’s life. Is this not looking so cheap?

Nadendla All Set to Join BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party is focusing on strengthening the party in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states with a big plan.

The party bosses are wooing all the prominent leaders belonging to Congress and Telugu Desam parties.

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nadendla Bhaskara Rao will be joining BJP in the presence of Union Minister for Home Amit Shah in Hyderabad. Amit Shah will be visiting Hyderabad on July 6.

Nadendla Bhaskara Rao joining BJP is sealed but BJP is set eyes on his son Nadendla Manohar. He is former speaker and is currently holding key position in Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena party.

Manohar may take decision of changing party if more pressure is exerted. Bhaskara Rao is already putting pressure on his son to join BJP along with him but Manohar is in dilemma.

Manohar will take a final call after returning from his USA trip. After Pawan Kalyan, Manohar is the most well-known face in Jana Sena but like his party’s president, he too lost in the recent Assembly polls.

BJP, on the other hand, is planning to become alternative political force to YSRCP in Andhra.

So, BJP is wooing prominent faces of other parties to their fold, it has not worried about their winning chances.

Director Prasanth Varma who shot to fame with “Awe” has admitted that his second film “Kalki” didn’t meet expectations of multiplex audiences in A Centers. He also agreed with the critics. “If I had to write the review of Kalki, I would have written the same way the critics wrote that the first half is not good but it came well in the second half,” he mentioned.

“Kalki” starring Rajasekhar in the direction of Prasanth Varma didn’t set cash registers ringing though both of their previous films “Garuda Vega” and “Awe” respectively were hits.

Prasanth also agreed that he re-shot Kalki many times to meet the market demands. It was originally developed as web series but he took this concept to Rajasekhar.“When the trailer and teaser were received great response, we shot again and had added more action stunts,” he explained. This overt commercialization was the main reason that critics didn’t like.

Prasanth Varma has hiked the budget of “Kalki” as well as “Awe” resulting strain on producers. He dismisses these allegations.“Kalki’s budget was decided collectively. So I should not be blamed for the budget hike,” he reasoned.

“I have already narrated couple of stories to various big heroes. My next film will start rolling within next two months,” he revealed.

Sarada peetham seer still angry with Naidu!

Visakhapatnam Sarada peetham pontiff Swamy Swaroopanandendra Saraswati appears to be more of a political guru, rather than a spiritual guru.

Whenever there is an occasion, this seer makes strong political comments like any other political leader, instead of preaching spiritual things to the people.

He praises some political leaders and attacks others as strong as any other political rival.

The way he has been pampering Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao and YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy makes one wonder whether a saint should have attachments to material things.

Swaroopanandendra calls Jagan as his “pranam” (life) and KCR as his “aatma” (soul) only to gain benefits from them.

Because of his political connections, he got lands at cheaper rates from the governments – very recently, KCR allotted him two acres of land at a nominal price of Rs 1 per acre at Kokapet, where the land value is not less than Rs 20 crore per acre.

When Telugu Desam Party led by N Chandrababu Naidu was in power, Swaroopanandendra did not get this kind of patronage, as Naidu used to encourage high profile corporate spiritual leaders like Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Jaggi Vasudev, Baba Ramdev and Mata Amritanandamayi etc.

So, naturally, Swaroopanandendra treats Naidu as a political enemy. On Wednesday, too, he made sensation comments against the TDP chief.

He alleged that the TDP government had wasted public funds in the name of Jala Harathi, Pushkaralu, and other schemes.

Demanding that Naidu owed an explanation to the people, he said he would meet Jagan Mohan Reddy shortly and request him to order a probe into the misuse of public funds by Naidu.

Rajamouli Not Attending TANA

Top director S S Rajamouli has made it clear that he is not attending TANA convention that is being held in Washington DC.Although Rajamouli is now in Washington on another work unrelated to TANA 2019, he wanted people get clarity that he’s not attending.

His brother M M Keeravani is holding musical show during this convention.Probably, Rajamouli might have felt that he would be branded as casteist and is staying away from this convention.

“Friends, I have come to Washington on a personal work. Not for TANA convention. I might not even attend peddanna’s musical show. I do not want people to expect me at the convention and get disappointed. Hence the clarification,” he tweeted.

Rajamouli is now directing “RRR” with NTR and Ram Charan. Some of the CG work is being done in USA.The film’s shoot has been stalled for now. New schedule will commence later this month.

As ‘sword of arrest hangs over Naidu’, his 18 MLAs approach BJP

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) seem to be on the verge of collapse, as more than two-thirds of party MLAs have approached the state BJP leadership in Andhra Pradesh.

After a major defection in the Rajya Sabha, where four out of six TDP MPs defected to the BJP, the developments in Andhra Pradesh seems set to deliver a big jolt to TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu who is making last ditch efforts to prevent party legislators from pulling off another defection on the lines of the one in the Rajya Sabha.

Talking to the IANS, BJP National Secretary and co-in-charge of Andhra Pradesh, Sunil Deodhar said that around 18 MLAs were in touch with his party.

At present TDP has 23 MLAs in the 175 members Assembly of Andhra Pradesh.

“The MLAs are well aware that TDP boss Naidu will soon be in jail on (alleged) multiple charges relating to corruption. Several close aides and family members of Naidu are also involved in corruption. It is for this reason that MLAs are approaching us. They realise that TDP’s image of a clean party has taken a beating,” said Deodhar who is also BJP’s state in-charge for Tripura.

Upbeat about political developments in the state favouring BJP, the party is launching one of its biggest ever membership drives in Andhra Pradesh which will begin simultaneously from all Dalit settlements in each district of the state.

“Our focus is to reach the poorest of the poor. We are targeting at least one lakh new members in each Lok Sabha constituency. Beside this programme , the party is also preparing for the all important annual three-day meet of top RSS leaders beginning July 11 in Visakhapattnam,” said Deodhar, a full-time pracharak of RSS in the northeast, who later joined as national office-bearer of the BJP.

Deodhar also informed that on July 6, RSS Sarsanghchalak (Chief) Mohan Bhagwat will be present in Guntur for a gurudakshina programme. Several senior BJP leaders are expected to join this function.

Commenting on the TDP’s dismal performance in the recent state assembly polls, Deodhar said that Naidu threw norms of propriety to the wind as his government indulged in gross financial irregularities.

“TDP is now a party with no future as Naidu’s misdeeds and acts of corruption have been exposed in public. From cash-for-vote scandal to various controversial government contracts awarded by his (TDP) government, Naidu seems neck-deep in corruption. The sword of arrest hangs over his head. It is almost certain that he (Naidu) will be in jail soon,” said Deodhar who was the main architect of BJP’s historic win in the Assembly elections of Tripura.
