Ravi Teja Desperately Looking for Producers!
With four flops in a row, Ravi Teja’s career is in huge mess. Producers are scared to invest money in his movies though he still commands good ancillary revenue like Hindi dubbing and satellite rates.
His theatrical market has drastically come down which is worrying factor all the producers.
If his film gets flop talk, it would be impossible to recover even half the amount from the sold business.
This is the main reason why “Disco Raja” is not showing any development though it was launched months ago.
Producer Ram Talluri, who lost heavily on Ravi Teja’s previous movie “Nela Ticket” is now asking the director to cut down the production.
In a cost-cutting measure, director Vi Anand brought-in two upcoming actresses Payal Rajput and Nabha Natesh instead of roping in a top-range actress. Still, the film is not showing any development.
On the other hand, Ravi Teja is sending feelers to all the producers who are once close to him.
He is asking to produce movies with him but they are feeling it is very risky attempt to make film with him unless a scores a decent hit with one movie.
Ravi Teja’s last release was “Amar Akbar Anthony” which hit the screens in November 2018. Since then he has been sitting idle at home.
April Box Office: Sensational Start To The Summer
Film trade pinned a lot of hopes on April releases when the film business has seen an all time low during the months of February and March.
It was key for April releases to perform in order to avoid further slump at the box office. Thankfully, summer season started off with a bang with Majili hitting the bull’s eye.
Majili turned out to be the biggest hit in Naga Chaitanya’s career and it was followed up by Chitralahari that was released on following Friday.
Sai Dharam Tej’s six film flop streak has come to an end with the film that has put up a decent show at the box office.
April 19 witnessed a clash between Jersey and Kanchana 3 and both the films turned out to be good hits.
Jersey has been termed as the best movie of the year while Kanchana 3 received brickbats from the critics. However, both the films turned out to be box office winners with Jersey dominating A centers and Kanchana 3 ruling the B and C centers.
Avengers: Endgame signed off April on a high note. Telugu cinema had an amazing April with a hit film on every weekend.
Trade is hoping that Maharshi will give the much needed mega boost with a blockbuster outing.
KCR’s dubious achievement: Defections Telangana!
In 2014, TRS came to power and KCR became first Chief Minister of newly created Telangana State with the slogan and promise of achieving “Bangaru Telangana” (Golden Telangana).
Five years down the line, KCR’s Bangaru Telangana still remains a distant dream but he has achieved the dubious distinction of making Telangana into “Defections Telangana”.
Telangana topped the entire country in defection of MLAs since 2014.
In the process, TRS also achieved the distinction of admitting highest number of defected MLAs from other parties.
TRS admitted 27 MLAs from Congress, TDP, YSRCP, BSP and CPI. TRS won just 63 seats out of 119 in 2014 Assembly polls.
However, it’s tally increased to 90 later due to defection of MLAs from other parties.
TRS won recent Assembly polls in December 2018 and came to power for second term.
Within four months of coming to power again, TRS again created a record in the country of admitting highest number of MLAs from other parties.
Already 11 Congress MLAs, 1 TDP MLA and two independent MLAs joined Congress. Few more Congress MLAs and lone TDP MLA are also in the pipeline to join TRS anytime.
Looks like, no one can beat TRS in engineering splits and defections in other parties.
After Telangana, neighbouring state Andhra Pradesh holds the distinction in highest defections.
TDP chief and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu has admitted 23 MLAs and 3 MPs from YSRCP between 2014 and 2018.
Tollywood’s Adult Stuff Takes YouTube By Storm
On one hand, Telugu cinema is aiming to capture Northern markets by making ultra high budget movies like Saaho and RRR.
On the other hand, Telugu cinema is churning out adult rated movies in big numbers in the hope of making a quick buck.
Films like RX 100 proved that adult stuff can set the box office on fire and many budding filmmakers have taken a cue from it.
A lot of adult rated movies with sleazy stuff and expletives are being made at the moment.
We don’t know how many of these can really bring audiences to the theaters. But they are surely taking the YouTube by storm with steamy trailers.
Recent release Cheekati Gadhilo Chithakkottudu has set a bar for sleazy stuff.
Upcoming movies like Yedu Chepala Katha, Degree College etc. are getting huge attention with lakhs of views for their trailers on YouTube. Youth seems to be enjoying such ‘bold’ stuff.
Directors are crossing the line and canning soft porn scenes and penning explicit dialogue to garner attention.
Mega Heroes? Had Seen Mega Mega Heroes: Jayasudha
Jayasudha essayed the role of Mahesh Babu’s Mother in ‘Maharshi’. In the past, She has played Mother to Ram Charan and Allu Arjun as well.
In a recent interview, Jayasudha was asked what is the difference she noticed between Mahesh Babu and Mega Heroes. Then, She asked, ‘Mega Heroes…Who are they?’. Then, The Anchor pointed out the Stars in Chiranjeevi’s Family. Quickly, Jayasudha said: ‘Media, Fans and Producers treat them as Mega Heroes but we just look at them as Co-Artists and there won’t be any special treatment. We have seen much more Mega Megas, from NTR’s era to till date. On a film set, You’re just an Actor. It doesn’t matter whether you belong to Mega Family or some other Family. Anybody has to bow down before the Camera. We just focus on how they are performing as only Acting makes them heroes. You’re nobody on the set, just the character you’re playing on that day. A Film don’t work if you can’t do justice to the role’.
Sahaja Nati discloses that she has seen Mega Heroes who remain humble inspite of their background and those Heroes who show attitude inspite of not having Godfather. ‘If Ram Charan comes to the sets, We don’t see the difference between him and Chiru. Focus will be on how he acts and how he behaves. Even if it’s Mahesh, We don’t see him from Krishna’s angle. If I play a Mother role, I feel like a Mom after 2-3 days or else we can’t perform,’ she said.
Viral: Jeevitha’s Reaction On Degree College Trailer!
Jeevitha was invited for the trailer launch of ‘Degree College’ starring Varun and Divya Rao as the Chief Guest. The Senior Actress was shell shocked with the lip locks and intimate scenes in the trailer.
Upon watching the Trailer, Jeevitha said: ‘I think you have invited the wrong person, Myself, for the trailer launch. I am the Central Censor Board Member. May be, This trailer is yet to be censored..it’s okay. Post the release of Arjun Reddy and RX100, There was a feeling Telugu Films can’t be made without lip-locks and love making scenes. It’s not right to raise objection on such aspects at the trailer launch. One thing I can say is that beauty lies is covering. For example, If we built a house. We would bath in the bathroom, sleep in the bedroom and sit in the hall. We won’t take bath in the hall. There will be romance and sex in every person’s life, but it should be done at the right place. Such things will be awkward if we do it publicly on the road, but lip locks and intimate scenes have become mandatory in every film. Assuming that only such films will be successful is a wrong notion. Even if the heroine was made to strip, It won’t guarantee success. We can’t argue with Directors who say they have the right to do whatever they want. Some People ask what’s wrong about it when such things were shown on TV and Interview. We watch TV or Internet in a room. Whereas, A Film will be watched along with hundreds of people’.
Jeevitha expressed the feeling that such adult-content films have been cleared by the Censor Board as the members should abide by the norms. She added, ‘If Censor Members raise an objection, Filmmakers hold press meets to blame them and even move the courts. Every Director, Producer and Actor should have a social responsibility. Such films leave a bad influence on the Youth. I am so sorry to say such things at this event’.
Director Narasimha Nandi defended himself saying ‘Degree College’ is based on real life incidents and romance will be not more than 10 percent. He added, ‘Those romantic shots were filmed by Me one-and-a-half year ago. Several Movies released with intimate scenes even before our movie released, but the soul of our movie is intact. Viewers will be in tears after watching the climax’.
Finally, Jeevitha concluded that Ladies who are known to be emotional won’t be coming to watch ‘Degree College’ upon watching the trailer. ‘I don’t know if college students would cry watching a movie. But, Women like Me would be doing that while watching a heart-touching scene. Surely, I won’t go to watch such a movie upon watching this kind of trailer,’ she opined.
Jeevitha To Step Up For Daughter’s Film
It is known that senior Hero Rajashekar’s elder daughter Shivani is going to mark her debut in Tollywood as a heroine with ‘2 States’ movie which is going to be the official Telugu remake of Bollywood superhit film with the same title.
Adivi Sesh is playing the lead role in this movie being directed by a debutant. But as per the latest reports, the newcomer Venkat wants to quit directing this project. Adivi Sesh has reportedly advised re-shooting almost 50% of the movie. On this note, the producers have to retain some parts and will reshoot the balance with another new director. Rumors are coming up that Jeevitha is going to step up as producer and director of the film. The official announcement is yet to be made. The film which was supposed to get released in 2019 is now going to get postponed to 2020.
It seems like Shivani is upset with the with all the happenings with her debut film. On the other hand, Jeevitha is also searching for other scripts and big production houses for her daughter’s next project.

Mega brother Naga Babu has once again fired at artists who in the recent Andhra Pradesh elections targeted his brother Pawan Kalyan. ‘Paniki Maalina Sannasulu’ ‘Adda Gadidhalu’ and ‘Yedavalu’ are the words used by Naga Babu while addressing a gathering with Jana Sena activists.
‘Maa Thammudini Evaraina Ante Chilchi Chendadutha’ Will not spare anyone who criticises my brother. Sorry to use these words but what wrong did my brother do or did he harm anyone of you,’ questioned Naga Babu. These so-called paid artists did not utter a word when students in Telangana committed suicide over intermediate results. It was only Pawan Kalyan who raised his voice against the TRS government and then Jana Sena activists protested against the loopholes, added Naga Babu.
Then the Mega brother took on YS Jagan. ‘He will open his mouth if ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ doesn’t release in Andhra Pradesh whereas he keeps quite when students are committing suicide. Lakshmi’s NTR release is not the real issue here. Drinking water, pollution and things for the poor are most need of the hour. Just because KCR has the remote control of Jagan, the latter stays silent,’ said Naga Babu.
Adding we have no fear of KCR. We respect him but don’t fear him and Jana Sena is the only party in Telangana now to fight against the government. ‘This is just a teaser and Jana Sena will show its potential till 2024,’ said Naga Babu.
Naidu fires at Jagan for ‘holidaying’ during AP cyclone!
TDP chief and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday came down heavily on YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for watching “Avengers: End Game” movie in Hyderabad, at a time when Cyclone Fani has been ravaging Andhra Pradesh and lakhs of AP people are facing severe hardships.
Naidu also lashed out at Jagan for rushing to London and holidaying there with his family members, soon after watching the movie.
Naidu said these acts of Jagan shows how least bothered he is towards AP’s concerns and its people and also proves how ‘irresponsible leader’ he is.
Naidu tried to justify his criticism on Jagan asking “When Jagan stayed in AP in reality? He always stays in Hyderabad. He has no concern towards AP or its people but wants power. He dreams of becoming CM of AP but never stays in AP.”
Naidu Banking On Punters’ Guessing?
While majority of the surveys conducted by national and local agencies and media houses predicted that the YSR Congress party is most likely to come to power in Andhra Pradesh with a comfortable majority, Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu says he is 1000 per cent confident of returning to power for a second term.
Though Naidu claims that he has various survey reports before him which say that the TDP is going to win the elections, his comment that even the “satta” and “mutka” (gambler and betting) gangs have been betting their money mostly on the TDP has raised many eyebrows.
Without losing much time, YSR Congress party has castigated the TDP chief for promoting satta and matka markets.
“His comments telling his party leaders that odds are favouring the TDP in the betting markets clearing indicate that he is encouraging the betting mafia,” YSRC MLA G Srikanth Reddy said.
Demanding serious action against Naidu for encouraging betting, Reddy said the TDP chief is desperately trying to keep his flock together as the party leaders were ready to desert him.
“Naidu knows these leaders are acting as a pressure group which is closely monitoring and watching the situation. A revolt is brewing within the TDP which will take shape after the results. So, he wants to appease them by making such comments which he feels will act as a booster dose to the sinking boat,” he said.
He demanded that [enal action should be taken against Naidu for his remarks on encouraging betting despite being the chief minister who is has 40 years of public life behind him.
With no one ready to support him he has been resorting to various gimmicks – right from complaining against the EVMs to kicking up controversies on review meetings.
He is trying to shift the blame of losing the election on others and when his flock became restless he took up the gamble of good odds for TDP to keep them in good humour, Reddy said.
